Still Quick With Wishes
I do not desire to be an apparition,
Of a faded youth.
I do want to feel healthy...
And continue that as my pursuit.
Feeling a bit of a hypocrite...
As I smoke cigarettes.
Exercise and watch my diet.
I know it makes no sense...
To display a physical and mental confidence.
And be addicted to nicotine.
A habit seen and not hidden to be kept secret.
And in my youth,
The cherry blossoms weren't the only things,
To pop up fresh and out in Spring.
And reminscing it...
Has not done one thing to my addiction to cigarettes.
Or my interests in watching the bees,
Land to deflower and pollenate!
Without a hint of a follow up puff.
And I am still quick with wishes to do it!
Now with less vigor.
But with a lot of bluff!

But It Makes Me Lots Of Money
Cigarette addiction kills people
But it makes me lots of money
It ruins their health
But it makes me lots of money
They cannot breathe properly
But it makes me lots of money
Their addiction causes them misery
But it makes me lots of money
A trillion cigarette butts pollute our earth daily
But it makes me lots of money
Cigarettes cause fires which burn many people to death
But it makes me lots of money
Parents buy cigarettes when their children need to eat
But it makes me lots of money
Cigarette smoke fills our bars and nightclubs, very unpleasant
But it makes me lots of money
Dirty ashtrays are disgusting
But it makes me lots of money
Why are you allowed to promote and sell such a disgusting product?
Because I've got lots of money

Impatiently Immobiled
One's addiction to greed,
Eventually becomes...
A mental and physical,
Deficiency.
Observed but not admitted,
Are those who habitually...
Feed with gluttony,
Their disturbing selfish needs.
And excuses with them,
Continue in abundance.
As is their abuses,
Go undenied.
Attempts to tell those they are sick,
With an illness.
Becomes a battle against,
Those convinced they should be enabled.
Defending someone with a disease like this,
Does not do them justice!
But traps them inside a mind that lies.
With discipline wishes for them never to exist.
One's addiction to greed,
Eventually becomes...
A mental and physical deficiency.
Until impatiently immobiled!

I sit on my duff, smoke cigarettes and watch TV. I'm not exactly a poster girl for healthy living.
Smoke Two Joints
(she was living in a single room with three other individuals.
One of them was a male and the other two, well, the other two were females.
God only know what they were up to in there.
And furthermore susan, I wouldnt be the least bit surprised to learn that all four of them
Habitually smoke marijuana cigarettes... reefers)
I smoke two joints in the morning.
I smoke two joints at night.
I smoke two joints in the afternoon, it makes me feel alright
I smoke two joints in time of peace, and two in time of war
I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints,
And then I smoke two more
Smoked cigarettes til the day she died
Toke a big spliff of some good sensimillia
Smoked cigarettes til the day she died
Toke a big spliff of some good sensamill...
Easy-e were ya ever caught slippin? hell no!
Daddy he once told me son you be hard workin man
And momma she once told me son you do the best you can
But, then one day I met a man who came to me and said
Hard work good, and hard work fine but first take care of head
(guitar solo)
Whoa, rock me tonight,
Whoa-oh, jah sake,
Whoa-ohh

(As Long As They've Got) Cigarettes In Hell
Spend your days just walking and shopping
Depending on how much you're luck is in
Spend the night-life table-hopping
And trying to keep that bag of bones in trim
I don't mind not feeling immortal
'Cos it ain't all that as far as I can tell
I don't mind not going to heaven
As long as they've got cigarettes
As long as they've got cigarettes in hell
By the time we start getting used to
The dope that's forming on the windowsill
Now we know we've got ourselves into
The cage that keeps the mice on the treadmill
I don't mind not feeling immortal
'Cos it ain't all that as far as I can tell
And I don't mind not going to heaven
As long as they've got cigarettes
As long as they've got cigarettes in hell
I don't mind not being immortal
Because it ain't all that as far as I can tell
I don't mind not going to heaven
As long as they've got cigarettes
As long as they've got cigarettes in hell

A highly valuable chain of thoughts
HAD cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn,
No man would be a funker
Of whin, or burn, or bunker.
There were no need for mashies,
The turf would ne'er be torn,
Had cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn.
Had cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn,
The big trout would not ever
Escape into the river.
No gut the salmon smashes
Would leave us all forlorn,
Had cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn.
But 'tis an unideal
Sad world in which we're born,
And things will 'go contrairy'
With Martin and with Mary:
And every day the real
Comes bleakly in with morn,
And cigarettes have ashes,
And every rose a thorn.

My Soul Untouched
My body has given up on me even as
I have given up on life, if THIS is all I
can achieve, it is not meaningful to
continue in this physical world
In my youth I thought to render service
even as I gathered knowledge - yet -
though reading everything in books and
on the Internet, I still understand
Only a few things and my wisdom - such
as it may be - has never been tested, with
regard to service, I have not rendered any
or very little - I smile continuously - so
Everyone asks why I seem happy - I reply
because I work in paradise - and it is true,
the only thing is that there is no-one to help,
no big challenge, the mental stimulation of
Every translation does not fire my heart,
my soul is untouched, if there is no way in
which I can change my life, only moving on
to become pure consciousness - is left…
-------------
Started French revision while watching
television, why not, at school we did our
homework to radio and later to television
as soon as we got one
Soon the repetitive request to rephrase little
questions to indicate knowledge of gender
and verbs as used in French drove me to
distraction, luckily boredom of evaluation
Of every aspiring dancer made me go on
long past my boredom threshold, tonight
I am surprised to find that I feel empty, it
should have been different, I should be
Happy and proud about all I have done -
yet the question remains - what is the
sense of it all - and the reply makes me
feel dumb - realising that it is all
A mental game in the end, we make it
up as we go, I need to make up a new
world because repeating things over
and over ad infinitum is driving me
To despair….

Try Super-Addictive 'Freebase' Nicotine Today!
When nicotine is added to some chemicals folks try,
It's then 'freebase', folks' brains to screw and finally folks die.
Some cigarettes are made so strong that strong men fail to quit,
Yet would they start a thing so wrong if they knew all of it?
Each packet has a warning note to tell folks, 'Leave these be! '
Once warned, who needs an antidote or cure to set folks free?
Yet there are those who still ignore the signpost, 'Sickness! Death! '
Though loved ones nag and will implore, is this just wasted breath?
Why must it be that cigarettes turn wise folks into fools?
Why must we see fag-fuelled regrets, yes, even in our schools?
How many deaths must be played out before the world sees sense
And bans what makes the grievers shout, such that all smoking ends?
Freebase, freewill, freedom to choose? But funerals aren't free!
Nor are the feelings when you lose the life God meant to be...

Sonnet: Smoke
Look, smoke billows from chimneys of houses,
And factories, coal-engines and wood-ovens;
From cigarettes/ cigars of both spouses,
And exhaust fumes from vehicles, so dense.
What patterns it can form in air that’s still!
A feast to watching eyes that observe it;
And soon the air is full of smokes that kill,
And smokers blow patterns by mere habit.
Yet, few think of the hazards posed by smoke;
Both plants and animals suffer a lot;
In men, it causes cancer, infarct, stroke;
Much deleterious things by smoke is wrought.
Shouldn’t we reduce the smoke levels in air?
Endangering children’s lives is quite unfair.

Ashes Of American Flags
The cash machine is blue & green
$400 in twenties and small silver _
I could spend $3.63 on diet coca cola
And unlit cigarettes
I wonder why we listen to poets
And nobody gives a thought
How hot & sorrowful
This machine begs for naught
All my lies are always wishes
I know I could die if I could come back new
I want a good life
With a nose for things
Fresh wind & bright sky
To enjoy my suffering
A hole without a key
If I break my tongue
Speakingof tomorrow
How will it ever come
Oh, all my lies are always wishes
I know I will die if I could come back new
I am down on my hands & knees
Every time the doorbell rings
I shake like a toothache
When I hear myself sing
Oh, my lies are only wishes
I know I will die if I could come back new
I would like to salute
The ashes of american flags
And all the fallen leaves
Filling up shopping bags

Ageing
All the hills I used to climb
seem like mountains now.
Younger legs and bodies
with wild abandon did allow
all the best that comes with youth
to make me feel alive.
Makes me wonder where I am
and how did I survive?
Good old time takes its toll
in many different ways.
We wake up early just like kids
then plod slowly through our days.
But watching the energy kids display
brings back your own sweet youth
when you were climbing hills like them.
Still, the youth don't know the truth.
That age will come upon them
if they're the lucky ones
to see the mountains before them
after so many rising suns.

A-Rat-A-Tat-Tat.
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
'A-rat-a-tat...
Tat-tat-tat.'
No more do I eat fried fat back.
Or smothered pork chops,
To put pounds on my thighs...
Butt or back!
Biscuits are my weakness,
So I ain't touching that.
Neck bones I leave alone.
And other greasy meats,
I don't eat.
I prefer to ignore that,
And them I don't condone!
Too sleazy for me.
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
'A-rat-a-tat...
Tat-tat-tat.'
I do my best to eat fresh vegetables.
With a prepared fresh salad...
Adding fruits and nutts,
To keep my energy up!
Lots of exercise I do!
And conscious to take naps.
With meditation and deep breathing...
To keep my body sleek.
Everyday of the week!
With a diet less treated by soft drinks,
And preprocessed sweets.
I do what I can to be energized...
And my eyes kept open wide,
No aches and pains I'm going to sigh.
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
Oh.
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
Oh.
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
Oh.
'A-rat-a-tat...
Tat-tat-tat.
Hey?
Wait a minute!
But...
Do you or do you not,
STILL smoke cigarettes? '
Whose confession is this?
'Yours.'
Exactly.
You keep tapping out that rhythm.
And I'll deal with my conscious...
Guilts and other facts!
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
Oh.
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
Oh.
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
Oh.
'A-rat-a-tat...
Tat-tat-tat.'
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
Oh.
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
Oh.
'A-rat-a-tat-tat.'
You got it!
Oh.

Spring Fever
(words & music by giant - baum - kaye)
A little bird, he told me so
He said come on, get on the go
Open your eyes the sky is full of butterflies
The blossoms on the trees stir up the honey bees
Spring makes my fever right
Spring fever, spring is here at last
Spring fever, my hearts beating fast
Get up, get out spring is everywhere
Well if you feel the wanderlust
Just grab a car or hop a bus
In every town theres excitement to be found
So much is happening
Dont miss the joy of spring
The worlds in love just look around
Spring fever comes to everyone
Spring fever, its time for fun
Get up, get out spring is everywhere
Spring fever, its spring fever time
Spring fever, watch that fever climb
Get up, get out spring is everywhere
Spring is everywhere

Youth Youth Youth
Youth youth youth
Youth youth youth
Never wanna be an adult
Always wanna be in revolt
Youth youth youth
Youth youth youth
Don't wanna spend my life saving up for things
Don't wanna have what a steady job brings
I don't want security
Don't want responsibility
Don't wanna stay at home not making any noise
I've always got to be out
I've always got to have a choice
I don't want security
Don't want responsibility
Youth youth youth
Youth youth youth
I don't want no uniform
I don't want no book of rules
Youth youth youth
Youth youth youth
Never wanna be an adult
Always wanna be in revolt

I don't want no book of rules

Addiction
I have an addiction
that eats away at me
sadly there is no medical cure
for the habit that I have.
I have to feed its hunger everyday,
I tried to go cold turkey
and almost succeeded once
and stopped for almost seven years,
but its hunger kept breaking through.
Finally, I got to grips with myself
and said enough is enough
I am going to let my addiction go.
It was not that easy to break free
of something you have had
for almost half a century.
I had to try I said to myself
before it takes over my life itself.
Just as I was about to put
the last nail in its coffin
it escaped and got free.
Free to enslave me once again
to do its bidding.
I have given up now
to its craving of paper and pen
and to do its dance again and again.
What am I addicted too?
If by now you have not guessed,
my addiction must be pretty weak
as I am addicted to writing
at least one thing everyday.
