Umbrella Man
When the sun just refuses to shine on through
And its cats and doggies all over you
You need some protection so what do you do
See the umbrella man
Go and see the umbrella man
When its raining - umbrella man, umbrella man
You can see him when its sunny, when the rain comes down
You ought to find a corner where hes always found
A reflection in a puddle, just turn around
To see the umbrella man
Go and see the umbrella man
When its raining - umbrella man, umbrella man
There are some things in life on which you can depend
Dont try to guess when itll rain again
You dont have to worry cause youve got a friend
Come see the umbrella man
I will be your umbrella man
When its raining - umbrella man
Go and see the umbrella man
Dont forget the umbrella man
When its raining - umbrella man
I will be your umbrella man, umbrella man

spring rain
the river willow blow back
the straw coat
The Rain
Come on, where are you, long lost sun,
the rain looks finished, I’m sure its done.
I spoke too soon, its coming down again,
it’s even swamping the house’s drain.
The rain’s surging force as it hits the ground
creates a noise like no other sound.
Our wheelie bin is being beaten like a drum.
Oh, where has that hidden sun gone?
I can’t even see through the windowpane,
it’s covered with huge drops of rain.
Look at it streaming down that outside wall,
the guttering looks about to fall.
There it goes; it’s shattered against the ground
but the rain has dampened its crashing sound.
I keep looking for that cloud break in the sky
for the sun to push through, or at least have a try.
That man on the street looks soaked to the bone,
with no coat or umbrella to shelter him home.
I can now see clearly through the windowpane,
the sun is bursting through the clouds again.
At last, the time has come to go out for some fresh air
the clouds have gone, so there’s no need to despair.
I won’t need to take the umbrella or even my coat,
and I’ll certainly won’t need a rowing boat.
Less than thirty metres from my front door,
and there’s another heavy downpour.
Looking up I just cannot understand why,
there isn’t a cloud in the sky.

Today is a rainy day
today is a rainy day
I love it always want to say
dont murder it under umbrella
just let the soft part of world dropping on every face and wall
im wearing a raindropp im clean in the rain
I see my breath blowing in the rain fire in the rain
today is a rainy night
I close my eyes always want to fly
dont whisper it under umbrella
just forget the sounds of silence telling it to me loudly and clear
im kissing a raindropp im loved in the rain
I pray my soul saved in the rain rise in the rain
today is a rainy day
tonight you are a rainy night
My Umbrella
With the gray clouds
Forming, I grab my umbrella
I have no idea
About how bad it will be
If it will be drizzing
Or if it will be pouring
Whatever the case maybe
I have my umbrella with me
Rain, sleet, snow, or shine
I know that I will be fine
That's how I feel
About our Lord
He's my umbrella
He is right above my head
He protects me
During anytime
Or kind of weather
So even if I get
A little wet
I know God will protect
He will handle it
For He's always with me
No matter how stormy
The weather
God will always make it
Better
Because we walk together

The Way We Used To Be
How come we can't talk the way we used to do
Nothing seems to be the same
Have we forgotten all the things we knew
Was it you or I who changed
We got to find the answer, let the secrets fly
Enough of telling stories and our well meaning lies
Things don't seem to be the same no matter how I tried
There's no rhythm to the rain
Wind still whispers, through the leaves on high
But they no longer sing your name
We got to find the answer, let the secrets fly
Enough of telling stories and our well meaning lies
We got to try to build what we had in the past
Trying's half the battle if we lose it we can't last
I heard myself just say the things I could never say before
And listen to the rhythm, of the rain
Wind just whispered through the leaves on high
And I thought I heard them sing your name
We got to find the answer, let the secrets fly
Enough of telling stories and our well meaning lies
We got to try to build what we had in the past
Trying's half the battle if we lose it we can't last
I heard myself just say the things I could never say before
And listen to the rhythm of the rain
Wind just whispered through the leaves on high
And I thought I heard them sing your name
And I thought I heard them sing your name

Sweet smelling afternoon
You are lying on your back
with a straw hat drawn at eye height over hair
sun-struck, curling and fair
with a rain cloud ominous and black
drifting past in a blue sky and a small track
needing some repair
meander past and grey ibises in a pair
are picking at a snail snack
and the smell of fresh Lucerne in purple flowers
is almost enveloping
after the last rain showers
and you play your guitar and sing
a sweet melody like a pop star but without followers
and the beauty of spring is around us in everything.

Stood floodful in the saddest pool ever
Wet in the rain outpoured by the mind
Set up on a journey
Concepts classified crashed
Whispered who through the drops
The trembling fingers clang to the umbrella
The saddest umbrella in the world
That had in it no magic at all
Could not fly or colour designs
In wetness tide soaked who
Started the walk of hours
Walked didn’t sing for there was no happy rain to sing in
And no pools to joyfully splash
I could have shared a sorrowful smile
A smile to who I didn’t know
To who I never met before
Or just follow the walk of who
Through the rainhour moments
Splash wave wings through the who rain
I wanted to pour down
Instead
I knelt by the pool in rain knell
Where the traces of the floodful standing still still stood
And the floodprints rippled and rippled on
To mirror myself and start to drink

Cute Stories
Telling cute stories and telling me about your lovers,
But who can clean his or her past? !
Oh Nadab, come to me always for help;
And be wise to take to my instructions always.

The Umbrella
Proud Sun shows its true colors these days
And it's pretty warm.
I walk under an umbrella and it gives me the shade.
I do not know how could I repay you for your faithful service?
When rain comes I promise you to take out definitely for all my debts.
But it's very difficult to keep promises when a poor vagabond walks in illusions.
Anyway you are my survivor till the journey's end.
What do you prefer my friend if I call you umbrella or parasol?

Always Walk In The Rain With Me
Always walk in the rain with me,
Hold my hand tight so I don’t fall,
I’m so scared of slipping away,
Always walk in the rain with me.
Dance with me held close,
So I can see another days light,
Always walk in the rain with me,
For the drops are becoming heavy,
And the storm is becoming enraged,
Always walk in the rain with me,
Shield me from the man in black,
Don’t let his winds take me away,
Always walk in the rain with me,
Help me see my way,
Need my list fulfilled for time is at hand,
Always walk in the rain with me,
Stay with me for eternity,
Help me dance my way clear,
Always walk in the rain with me,
Promise to love me forever,
Guide me to my rainbow now,
Always walk in the rain with me,
Tell me your heart n soul are mine,
Always walk in the rain with me

Very Quiet Besides Rain
we could have fallen asleep
falling rain on my forehead
breeze upon grass leaves
my big straw hat was gone
beach mat is our umbrella
our miniature beach cottage
sand ridges are eroding
a nice target for raindrops
we see sections of rain
on wide horizon, very nice
god wasn't writing in sky
nor moving his giant toys

Lies On The Floor
Making up stories
saying this or that,
reaching for hollow straws
in a hollow straw hat.
Shooting through the straw,
with All your lies,
making your hollow straw pie.
Try and keep all your lying
straws straight,
what lying straw is first
what lying straw is number eight.
Top them all off
with a fake letter,
only you and I know better,
That’s it’s all bogus
and totally a scam,
especially when your talking ham to spam.
Play your way with all your spam
that you baked,
but here’s your big mistake,
something you can’t take,
because I have a crazy 8,
changing the suit for which I take,
and bend your straws and make them break.
FoR your fake straw hat will be no more,
for you’re found out as a lying spam boar.

Umbrella Song
On the poor side of town, lives a girl no one knows
With her worn out shoes and her ragged clothes
Her mother tries to provide since her father has died
But no one even cares if shes alive
And when the rain comes down
Shes never getting wet
And though the skies are gray
Shell still be smiling yet
Cause in her eyes theres no teardrops
In her heart theres no pain
Shes got her love as an umbrella from the rain
Oh, what love is an umbrella from the rain
On the rich side of town, lives a boy no one knows
With his shiny shoes and his fancy clothes
Hes got everything he needs if he wants to succeed
But no one even cares if hes alive
And when the rain comes down
Hes never getting wet
And though the skies are gray
Hell still be smiling yet
Cause in his eyes theres no teardrops
In his heart theres no pain
Hes got his love as an umbrella from the rain
Oh, his love is an umbrella from the rain
Isnt life feeling strange and money cant buy
All you need to get by
All around the world, there are folks no one knows
If theyre worn out shoes, their fancy clothes
Will they find more there to give for and open the door
To know that someone cares if theyre alive
And when the rain comes down
Were never getting wet
And though the skies are gray
Well still be smiling yet
Cause in our eyes theres no teardrops
In our hearts theres no pain
Weve got a love as an umbrella from the rain
Oh, our love is an umbrella from the rain
And when the rain comes down
Were never getting wet
And though the skies are gray
Well still be smiling yet
(repeat 4x to fade)

(The) Way We Used To

How come we can't talk the way we used to do

Enough of telling stories and our well meaning lies

Wet Nurse
She came with an umbrella
but there is no rain at all.
My lonely heart is longing for a shelter
and she gave me the umbrella.
She left without a word in midnight
and the incessant rain started.
Thunder and lightning all over the sky
and my heart laments for her.

I'm The Umbrella Man
I'M THE UMBRELLA MAN
DANCING IN THE RAIN
WITH NO WORRIES AND NO HURRIES
JUST FEELING THE FREEDOM OF BEING FREE
SO WON'T YOU PLEASE DANCE WITH ME
I'M THE UMBRELLA MAN
DANCING IN THE RAIN
PLEASE DON'T TRY TO UNDERSTAND
JUST TAKE MY HAND
AND DANCE WITH ME
FEEL THE FREEDOM OF BEING FREE
UNDERNEATH MY UMBRELLA WITH ME
SO WON'T YOU PLEASE
JUST DANCE WITH ME

when it rains
you worry none
for you always
bring the umbrella
with you
there are those who
brave the rain
and will not open
an umbrella to
show their
dissent
they are those
whom you call different
for unlike you
you studied well the laws
of comfort
and subservience
not minding the
ways of the
abusive Rain
the faulty Canals
the acidity of the clime
the foulness of
the Ruins.
