The Umbrella

Proud Sun shows its true colors these days
And it's pretty warm.
I walk under an umbrella and it gives me the shade.
I do not know how could I repay you for your faithful service?
When rain comes I promise you to take out definitely for all my debts.
But it's very difficult to keep promises when a poor vagabond walks in illusions.
Anyway you are my survivor till the journey's end.
What do you prefer my friend if I call you umbrella or parasol?

Umbrella Man

When the sun just refuses to shine on through
And its cats and doggies all over you
You need some protection so what do you do
See the umbrella man
Go and see the umbrella man
When its raining - umbrella man, umbrella man
You can see him when its sunny, when the rain comes down
You ought to find a corner where hes always found
A reflection in a puddle, just turn around
To see the umbrella man
Go and see the umbrella man
When its raining - umbrella man, umbrella man
There are some things in life on which you can depend
Dont try to guess when itll rain again
You dont have to worry cause youve got a friend
Come see the umbrella man
I will be your umbrella man
When its raining - umbrella man
Go and see the umbrella man
Dont forget the umbrella man
When its raining - umbrella man
I will be your umbrella man, umbrella man

Under The Black Skies

She is my friend
And she walks the street of Toronto with her husband and Mabel her Belog Dog under black skies
But the rain keeps falling down non stop
And poor Mabel gets wet from the rain
And my friend and her husband is wearing their raincoats amd they have Their umbrella open and they are holding it while they walk
But my friend and her husband and Mabel are the only people that are Walking in the streets of Toronto
Also I believe that the rain will clean the air today and will make it Easier for us to breath for once

My Umbrella

With the gray clouds
Forming, I grab my umbrella
I have no idea
About how bad it will be
If it will be drizzing
Or if it will be pouring
Whatever the case maybe
I have my umbrella with me
Rain, sleet, snow, or shine
I know that I will be fine
That's how I feel
About our Lord
He's my umbrella
He is right above my head
He protects me
During anytime
Or kind of weather
So even if I get
A little wet
I know God will protect
He will handle it
For He's always with me
No matter how stormy
The weather
God will always make it
Better
Because we walk together

when it rains
you worry none
for you always
bring the umbrella
with you

there are those who
brave the rain
and will not open
an umbrella to
show their
dissent

they are those
whom you call different
for unlike you
you studied well the laws
of comfort
and subservience
not minding the
ways of the
abusive Rain
the faulty Canals
the acidity of the clime
the foulness of
the Ruins.

Umbrella Song

On the poor side of town, lives a girl no one knows
With her worn out shoes and her ragged clothes
Her mother tries to provide since her father has died
But no one even cares if shes alive
And when the rain comes down
Shes never getting wet
And though the skies are gray
Shell still be smiling yet
Cause in her eyes theres no teardrops
In her heart theres no pain
Shes got her love as an umbrella from the rain
Oh, what love is an umbrella from the rain
On the rich side of town, lives a boy no one knows
With his shiny shoes and his fancy clothes
Hes got everything he needs if he wants to succeed
But no one even cares if hes alive
And when the rain comes down
Hes never getting wet
And though the skies are gray
Hell still be smiling yet
Cause in his eyes theres no teardrops
In his heart theres no pain
Hes got his love as an umbrella from the rain
Oh, his love is an umbrella from the rain
Isnt life feeling strange and money cant buy
All you need to get by
All around the world, there are folks no one knows
If theyre worn out shoes, their fancy clothes
Will they find more there to give for and open the door
To know that someone cares if theyre alive
And when the rain comes down
Were never getting wet
And though the skies are gray
Well still be smiling yet
Cause in our eyes theres no teardrops
In our hearts theres no pain
Weve got a love as an umbrella from the rain
Oh, our love is an umbrella from the rain
And when the rain comes down
Were never getting wet
And though the skies are gray
Well still be smiling yet
(repeat 4x to fade)

Bus Stop

The Hollies
Bus Stop
(Written by Graham Gouldman of 10CC)
Single release 1966
Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say
"please share my umbrella."
On bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows
under my umbrella.
All that summer we enjoyed it, wind and rain and shine.
That umbrella we employed it, by august she was mine.
Ev'ry mornin' I would see her waiting at the stop
sometimes she'd shop
and she would show me what she'd bought.
All the people stared as if we were both quite insane.
Some day my name and hers are going to be the same.
That's the way the whole thing started, silly, but it's true.
I'm thinking of a sweet romance beginning in a queue.
Came the sun, the ice was melting, no more sheltering now.
Nice to think that that umbrella led me to a vow.
{interlude}
Ev'ry mornin' I would see her waiting at the stop
sometimes she'd shop
and she would show me what she'd bought.
All the people stared as if we were both quite insane.
Some day my name and hers are going to be the same.
Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say
"please share my umbrella."
Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows
under my umbrella.
All that summer we enjoyed it, wind and rain and shine.
That umbrella we employed it, by august she was mine.
{interlude fades out}

I Need A Friend

I need a friend
Just one
‘Coz one is enough
I don’t need a traitor

I am looking for a true friend
That won’t betray me like the other
The same one who's thirsty
For the real friend

I am here,
Waiting for a true friend
Who would say hello to me
And give me her only umbrella when it rains
That’s a friend I’ve been waiting for

I need a friend
Looking for me whenever
And knows wherever I am
Who would you be?

A friend
Coming as wind, unknown
Flying as little bird, unable to refuse
I need you

Sharing about love
Talking about boys
No secret
No burden
My life is also owned by a true friend

Where are you?
Yeah, although I haven’t found you
I believed you are
So I promise you
I won’t be leaving
Before finding you
You’re my true friend
Even though we don’t know each other
I know you are
I need you

Stood floodful in the saddest pool ever

Wet in the rain outpoured by the mind
Set up on a journey
Concepts classified crashed
Whispered who through the drops
The trembling fingers clang to the umbrella
The saddest umbrella in the world
That had in it no magic at all
Could not fly or colour designs
In wetness tide soaked who
Started the walk of hours
Walked didn’t sing for there was no happy rain to sing in
And no pools to joyfully splash
I could have shared a sorrowful smile
A smile to who I didn’t know
To who I never met before
Or just follow the walk of who
Through the rainhour moments
Splash wave wings through the who rain
I wanted to pour down
Instead
I knelt by the pool in rain knell
Where the traces of the floodful standing still still stood
And the floodprints rippled and rippled on
To mirror myself and start to drink

I'm The Umbrella Man

I'M THE UMBRELLA MAN
DANCING IN THE RAIN
WITH NO WORRIES AND NO HURRIES
JUST FEELING THE FREEDOM OF BEING FREE
SO WON'T YOU PLEASE DANCE WITH ME
I'M THE UMBRELLA MAN
DANCING IN THE RAIN
PLEASE DON'T TRY TO UNDERSTAND
JUST TAKE MY HAND
AND DANCE WITH ME
FEEL THE FREEDOM OF BEING FREE
UNDERNEATH MY UMBRELLA WITH ME
SO WON'T YOU PLEASE
JUST DANCE WITH ME

Umbrella

Today is the day you will shine.
There will be a little rain though,
But don't worry I will protect you by being your umbrella.

No go off and light up the world.
Always remember, I am only one click away from being your cover,
Like an umbrella.

Umbrella

The sheets were still warm
from her last fleeting kiss,
Redolent of the perfume she wore.
Surely the memories of nights such as this
are what our existence is for.
They had met on the train
which was not at all strange;
they had noticed each other before.
That he shared his umbrella
and later, his bed
was a gift of the evening's hard rain.
Her skin was sun kissed
and she had bee stung lips.
Her eyes, a mischievous green.
True, she had an umbrella,
but why tell the fellow
she happened to meet on the train.
Let him think he had conquered,
It was she who had stooped.
Perhaps she would see him again.
She had left him asleep,
slipping out like a thief from
a night filled with Love and Champagne.
She did not regret
letting herself get wet.
as it led him to act as her swain.
He'd been tender and sweet
and his taste was a treat
once they'd come in from the rain.

Walking through the rain with my umbrella,
Nice and lovely to swing with the muse of love;

But i am protected under this umbrella.

Wet Nurse

She came with an umbrella
but there is no rain at all.
My lonely heart is longing for a shelter
and she gave me the umbrella.
She left without a word in midnight
and the incessant rain started.
Thunder and lightning all over the sky
and my heart laments for her.

Rainy night in jersey

I arrived hot and sweaty
My friend said take a dip in the pool

It looked like a fountain with droplets of silver
So I ran to my car for the umbrella

Wading around with a beer in one hand
In the other my bright green umbrella

My friend said whats up
Your wet down but not up

I replied with a grin
blame it on the damn lite beer

A Red Motorcycle With Least Meaning

it is raining.

this is the first rain for the month of June
in Katipunan

i sit facing a screen
i press words

i look through a glass window
much older than my being here,

out there
the mango tree is heavy with its fruits

under its shade is
a red motorcycle beside a hollow block fence
which separates a dilapidated house
from the public market

a woman holds a blue umbrella
walks slowly along the pavement

it is still raining

cats and dogs, and the red motorcycle is wet all over.

it is inanimate and everyone
takes it for granted.

among those that i have enumerated
perhaps it must be the one with the least meaning.

the day is crying
and the woman with the blue umbrella is unaffected.

inside this room
with a glass window as protection
i am sifting
what meaning is there

for this rainy day.

Faithful

Faithful to the end
She's a lover and a friend
Faithful to the end
And with this i know you can win, just stay faithful
Faithful till the end
Faithful to the end
Listen ya'll she's a mother and a wife, she is everything, faithful
Faithful to the end
Even when things go wrong and you got nobody else to call
You call on good ol' faithful
Faithful to the end
Cause i know you gotta stay faithful
Faithful to the end
She's the one that will cook and clean, wash your clothes
So you always gotta stay faithful
Faithful to the end
Ya'll just take it on home, i can't even sing no more
Faithful to the end
Yeah, i like that

A painted Woman in A Drizzle

Low limbs of the live oak twist
like overlapping black rivers
across the sky.It is easy
to feel lost in the maze
of their convoluted journey
The World is Green Again
-Marjory Wentworth

Normally I do not go out with an umbrella
And it's a drizzle late in the evening
On my way back home from the library.
She smiled and ready to share the umbrella
The silence said in between us.
O the fingernails sharp and beautiful
And I was scared of her adhesive thick red lips
If I attached how could I go back to my beloved?
If not the umbrella her beauty washes
That's certain and her magenta colour transparent skirt
I saw the whole World of innocence!
'Rain seized and she said; Time has come to say Goodbye
And thank you very much for the warmth Grandpa! '
I said; 'It's a pleasure daughter! '
She turned to the upper lane and I used my usual gravel road.
In the darkness I whispered ' That name's already registered in the book of life forever Grandpa! '
