Very Quiet Besides Rain

we could have fallen asleep
falling rain on my forehead
breeze upon grass leaves
my big straw hat was gone
beach mat is our umbrella
our miniature beach cottage

sand ridges are eroding
a nice target for raindrops
we see sections of rain
on wide horizon, very nice
god wasn't writing in sky
nor moving his giant toys
