Very Much Aware

When I became ill,
And was prepared to die...
I closed my eyes.
Took a breath and sighed.
And when I decided,
My life was done...
I felt 'something'!
And I heard 'someone'!
And 'She' teased and said,
'You may be ready for death...
But 'We've' got more for you instead!
You better get your ass up!
And out of that bed! '

Just like that...
I felt 'Her' smile in my head!
What in the world...?

I could not believe this at all!
I opened my eyes...
And saw lights dance upon the walls!
I began to feel such a change in me.
With a will to live...
And with incredible energy!
I got out of bed and began to exercise.
The doctors and nurses were all quite surprised!
Even I could not explain to them...
What had happened overnight!
I did not know how or where to begin!
Or what I could or could not say to them!

I 'know' there is a God.
And 'spirits' around unseen!
I am a witness to this.
This I did not dream!
And every second of each day...
I give thanks and stay in prayer!
I am here by the grace of God!
And what others believe...
I really do not care!

'Something' is so powerful!
And that 'something' is there!
That 'Something' is collectively called God...
And IT is very much aware!

Poem To A Stoner....2

I had a dream
this dream it was so real
but a dream which i could feel
and my broken heart this dream began to heal
because moments from love it began to steal.

i had a dream which felt so real
i had a dream wich gave me emotion to feel
i had a dream, a dream of you
this dream seemed to be my only clue
this deam was a dream of me and you,
maybe my dream was not really a dream
but becase i closed my eyes a dream is what you seemed
so i took my clue.
that clue being you.

and as iopened my eyes i saw the dream
the dream of me and you

Im Mandy Fly Me

Just like a rollin stone
Im outside lookin in
But if your chance came would you take it
Where on earth do I begin
Im mandy fly me
Ive often heard her jingle
Its never struck a chord
With a smile as bright as sunshine
She called me through the poster
And welcomed me aboard
She led me she fed me
She read me like a book
But Im hiding in the small print
Wont you take another look
And take me away
Try me mandy fly me away
The world was spinning like a ball
And then it wasnt there at all
And as my heart began to fall
I saw her walking on the water
As the sharks were comin for me
I felt mandy pull me up give me the kiss of life
Just like the girl in dr. no no no no
Ah when they pulled me from the wreckage
And her body couldnt be found
Was it in my mind it seems
I had a crazy dream
I told them so but they said no no no no
I found me on a street
And starin at a wall
If it hadnt have been for mandy
Her promise up above me
Well I wouldnt be here at all
So if youre travellin in the sky
Dont be surprised if someone said hi
Im mandy fly me

HER EYES KNEW THE WAY (Ode to Love)

A full moon bathed her
tranquil form in silver light
This playful orb would only
dance on her this night…

Hesitant I knew desire
was the bane of zealous lovers
Yet eagerly I reached down
moved aside the satin covers

She sensed my presence
awoke then moved to rise,
A moan exhaled parted lips
as she opened sleepy eyes

With eyes blue as glacier ice
she smiled, reached for me
I held her dainty hands in mine
and kissed them tenderly

Forever came and went
we held a tight embrace
My head did spin and
heart began to race

At last we pulled apart
I looked into her eyes,
What happened next was
strange, yet no surprise

Within the depth of her eyes
I beheld her very soul
For the first time in my life
I felt complete and whole

An aura encircled me
flooding me with light
I felt a flash, then heat,
felt my soul ignite

Fire on fire as two
souls fused into one
A war against loneliness
had finally been won...

I Had A Dream

I had a dream
As though it seemed
Just the other day,
And you were there
Just like my prayer
Answering the words I prayed.
You took my hand
You helped me stand
And I rose to meet your eyes,
And as I stood
The way a man should
You were gone, and I knew not why.
I looked around
You couldnt be found
Then for you I cried as I spoke
“Why did you leave”
“Come back to me please”
But you didnt, so I awoke.

I had a dream
As though it seemed
Just the other night.
And you were there
Just like my prayer
Standing in the moon light.
You gave me a smile
Which I longed for a while
Joy was in my heart and soul
I began to smile
Just like a child
As my memories of you began to grow.
I thought of our past
As I wished it would always last
But you shook your head sadly No
So I shed a tear
Which dissapeared
And sadly again, I awoke.

I had a dream
as though it seemed
Late last night
And you were there
Just like my prayer
My woman, my wife and my life.
I took your hand
As I am your man
Together we will be
I wouldnt let go
as you shook your head no,
Together you and me.
I gave you a kiss
Which I did miss
Then you began to weep
You cried saying that I will awake
Without you to a new day
Then I said “no”, I will sleep

Since I Have Felt The Sense Of Death

Since I have felt the sense of death,
Since I have borne its dread, its fear—
Oh, how my life has grown more dear
Since I have felt the sense of death!
Sorrows are good, and cares are small,
Since I have known the loss of all.

Since I have felt the sense of death,
And death forever at my side—
Oh, how the world has opened wide
Since I have felt the sense of death!
My hours are jewels that I spend,
For I have seen the hours end.

Since I have felt the sense of death,
Since I have looked on that black night—
My inmost brain is fierce with light
Since I have felt the sense of death.
O dark, that made my eyes to see!
O death, that gave my life to me!

Within Your Arms

living in the world I’ve created in my dreams for you and me
I didnt understand that anything could happen
when you take a chance
I never believed it before I was in your arms
I never opened my heart to what I couldn’t see
I didn’t want to see all the possibilities
there could be
there should be between you and me

I know something is different in me
I’ve never felt this way
this could be the start of something deeper
it felt so right to be in your arms
when I looked into your eyes that one night
I saw that same need
that same want
that same drive
that I was feeling inside

who ever thought I would have met you here tonight
you’re the last thing I expected
the world looks so much brighter within your arms tonight
I can see the day though the night
you have reached deep inside me somewhere and started something new
cause I know I’ve never felt this way without it being you
you’ve unlooked some kind of new and more passionate feeling
I never knew it could happen until it happened to me
I never knew it could have happened like that
I never knew it could be that strong
so fast
I thought it would take more time
I didn’t know but now it’s easy to see
if only you just looked into my eyes you would have saw
you could have seen that I would be loyal to you
you could have had your way with me right then and there
I wanted you to take me away
I wanted you to have what we wanted
I was ready for you to
I dare not to say it out loud
dare not to even think it for you might see it in my all telling eyes
only feeling my body telling me that I was ready
ready for you
and ready to tell you I’m willing to stay in your arms for ever

Protest Of The Phantoms

At the time of dawn,
When the lights went out,
I bolstered my head,
On the pillow,
Closed my eyes,
To loosen my thoughts;
I felt negritude
Extending its limbs,
Into infinity,
And I began to ponder,
On the plight
Of my countrymen, times
We were going through,
And consoled myself
Thinking that we had
Better times to live in;
The era of crimes,
And brutal deeds
We had left far behind.
Our descendants
Would have bright future,
For we made ourselves
Secure from the suiciders,
We built high walls
Around the residences
And installed razor-wire,
Deployed gunmen
At the entrances.

My mind was occupied
With these imaginings,
When I began to behold
The darker images in the dark,
They began to surround
From all sides around,
They were numerous,
They were the phantoms
All of women in Burqas,
Their gloomy, irritated eyes
Were only faintly visible;
They assembled to protest
For a certain demand
And one of them said
With a mournful tone:
“We are passing
Through the darkest era,
The hardest times
Of the human history,
Ask them to do some legislation
At least for rights of the dead,
We are not secure even
Underneath stones of the graves.”

Eyes Of Mr D (Part 1)

They took the cotton gauze away
from his closed eyes.
“You can open them now Mr D.”
He opened his eyes to see hazy figures there,
black and grey images, and nothing more.

A gentle and kind voice, asked him what he saw.
“Hazy images>“He replied.
“It will be like that for a little while,
and then they will begin to clear.”
Each day his sight got better, the
haze began to clear.

Then the colour came,
and a rainbow spectrum appeared before his eyes,
of things he could never see.
A light shone through his life,
of things he had never known.
A new awakening
with images to fit the sounds.

His mind began to wonder
where his new eyes had come from.
They were not allowed to tell him,
who the donor was or anything about them.
Finally, he was released from hospital.

He went back to his flat
where he had to learn again,
where everything was now that he could see.
He smiled at the white walking stick.
He would keep it as a reminder
of how lucky he was.

Sitting in his chair in the sunshine,
as it came through the window.
Then it happened.
It was as if he were in a dream.
The images lost their colour.
He was in a place he had never seen before.

Hands reached out around the neck,
of a face he could not see.
It seemed as if
they were strangling the life out of someone there.
The body struggled and then went limp.
On the body, falling, the face was now revealed.
A young pretty face
distorted in the throes of death.

This Dance

The wind blew through the trees like laughter come un-done,
You picked me up and brought me out into the blazing sun.
I felt the heat and began to dance to express that I felt free,
You followed me and kept the beat with your hands and then joined me.
We danced far into the night even though the wind chilled us so,
It soon became clear to me that what I saw in you touched my soul.
I peered into your deepening eyes and felt like I was in a trance,
I then felt that I'd fallen in love and I did not want to stop this dance.
This dance, this wonderful dance, this wonderful spirit lifting dance.....

I Had To Die

(5/6/12)

I had to die inside so that I could live
I had to see so that I could give
I felt your strength enter my soul
I felt you - make me whole.

I felt the spirit soaring within
I felt my heart start to spin.
I was lost in this troubled world
And turned my back on family and friends
No more ears would I lend.

I expected them to get me out
of the hell that I created
And when they didn't I was devastated.
Why wouldn't they help me - I then asked
Then I remembered my heartless past.

My soul had became cold as ice
And my eyes as blind as can be
And I thought that I was free.
Then night came upon me like
Death upon a battle field
That was when I began to heal.

I saw all the harm that I had done
As I saw the rising sun
Opening my eyes to all the beauties
That GOD had given, and why
Life was so worth living.

Now I see as clear as day
That there is no other way
But to follow the steps of my lord
And my previous life I had to abort.
I asked for forgiveness from all that I had hurt
for my spirit had given new birth.

Just By Chance

You pranced through the door
Both of our eyes met
catching each other at a glance
The music was playing loudly and
We decided to dance
You grabbed my hand
As I held on to you
Our bodies began to manuever
Knowing exactly what to do
It all happened by chance
The two of somehow began
To be partakesr of such a perfect

I Cheated Death.

Suddenly all went cold
And of my mother's hand I took hold
I held on like a drowning man would a lifeline
For I knew this might be the end of my timeline
And there in the corner he stood
Bright silvery robes, a golden cord around his waist, there he stood
Shoulder length hair as golden as the sun's rays
Eyes bluer than the Caspian, bronze skin that hath no flaws
His feet shod in sandals
His presence brightened the candles
I felt a hope build inside
A fire rekindled inside
But as quickly as it came
The hope left and with it the fear came
As I looked in horror to the other corner
There she stood, crowned by darkness in the left corner
Her eyes the colour of blood
In a black robe of death she was clad
As I focused on her, I felt the life leave me
Just as the anaconda squeezes the life out of its prey, the life left me
The odour of burning Sulphur filled the room
And with it an impeding gloom
I squeezed my mother's hand ‘til it hurt
Every breath I took hurt
I tried to tell my mother I loved her
But all that came out was a croak
Slowly the woman in the left corner removed her cloak
Revealing a crown of long fiery hair
Her eyes fixed on me in an evil stare
Her blood red lips parted in a smile
A smile so evil it shouldn't be called a smile
I turned to the other corner seeking comfort from my angel and this evil evade
But woe unto me he had slowly began to fade
And with him, the light
Impeding my sight
I felt my body consumed by a cloud of darkness
And at that moment, I felt the presence of death in the darkness
Funny how in the movies they tell you to stay away from the light
How I longed to see a light
For I knew the darkness would only lead to more pain
I shut my eyes hoping that when I opened them again
My angel would be there telling me it's alright
Bringing back hope and light
But lo and behold as I re-opened mine eyes
There I lay, in my hospital bed my mother looking on with wet eyes
She told of how I almost died
Of how my breathing stopped but her hope never died
I sat up in wonder looked to the right and there my angel stood
In fear, I turned to the left, and she too in her shroud of evil, stood
Her eyes blazing with anger
For death had been cheated and left with a deep hunger
And I knew, she would be back
And then it struck me,
Death never leaves empty handed
That's when I saw the nurses covering the old woman's body across
With a white sheet and a priest making the sign of a cross
Once again, death did reap
And it is inevitable that she will return to reap
Her taste of fruit, the unripe fruit...

The Day I Died

Yes, it was just another day -
The sun rose once again
To send the night upon its way
And light the world of men.
The children woke to go to school,
While I slept on in bed.
Old men feel tired as a rule,
So I dreamt on instead.
At ten o'clock, I got up, too.
I got dressed as before.
I did the things I had to do,
Although they were a chore.
I opened letters, read them all
And put the TV on.
The cup I held began to fall...
My balance now was gone.
I hit the floor quite suddenly,
Confusion then set in.
The ceiling stared right back at me.
I knew I couldn't win.
So there I was, with nervous breath,
My hand upon my heart...
Aware, above all, facing death -
Expecting to depart.
I lay there, waiting on the Lord,
My Saviour and my King -
To whom I turned for each reward
And every blessed thing.
I heard no voice, no angel came,
No vision at that time
And yet, by faith, I spoke Christ's Name,
With hope that felt sublime.
My spirit left my body there
And left my world behind...
I rose to meet Christ in the air,
The Saviour of Mankind.
Eternal life had been bestowed
The second I believed.
My spirit felt no heavy load,
For I no longer grieved.
The day I died, no more to roam,
Was just a stepping stone...
The precious day Christ called me home...
To kneel before God's Throne...

The Power Of Prayer

The addict trembled, terrified,
Death stared him in the face
And that poor soul was mesmerised,
Transfixed in that one place,
No will to move, not left or right,
With nowhere inbetween,
A dreadful Twilight Zone in sight,
The like he'd never seen...

The addict gulped, held back his tears,
As Death displayed its form,
As Death's wings stretched behind his ears
And he felt cold not warm...
And then Death laughed with utmost glee,
One victim on its mind,
One victim from this life set free
To leave this world behind...

The addict prayed in Jesus name,
For mercy, peace, joy, love
And Death stood back, not quite the same,
As God began to shove...
The man still prayed, his eyes still closed,
Regardless, unaware
That God defended and opposed
In answer to his prayer...

The addict sensed God intervened,
Somehow new life began,
With Death no more the awesome fiend
Because God had a plan...
Thus Jesus saved the man from Death,
From judgment and from Hell...
God's Son... Jesus of Nazareth!
What stories He could tell...

Seeds Of Happiness

I sat up on a tree,
From my busy life I did flee,
I felt young again,
I felt ten so I began to pretend,
I closed my eyes and pretended i was a fairy,
Suddenly my adult life was not so scary.
In my mind i sprinkled fairy dust,
Something that when I was a little girl was a must.
I was happy up there on my tree,
Lifes little pleasures I once again began to see.
It doesn't take that much to be happy.

Memories are all you need,
Memories are life's little happiness seeds.
Planted in our minds
So that when we are old happiness is something we stil can find

Displaced

It began at birth, when she summoned
All her might against a steady rhythm
Forcing her through a dark and wet canal.
Twenty hours she held fast, until she felt
the forceps close on her head. She tried
to cry out, but her lungs and nostrils were
full of a thick, viscous fluid.

Although her eyes were closed, she felt the
Harshness of a light above, as she emerged.
Hands reached down and shoved something in
her nostrils to clear the fluid. The same hands
grasped her tiny ankles and lifted upward.
She began to retch, and felt her lungs
Empty more fluid.

A slap stung her backside forcing a scream;

She cried her first bitter tears;
Tears for the imprisonment of her spirit
Tears for the pain of physical density.
Tears of sorrow for her future death.

A Sunday to Remember

This particular day was like every other,
A suit and tie, ready for my spiritual meal
But little did I know, what lay in store from this brother
I take my seat and listen to the talk-the normal deal

As it progresses this information is at its worst amazing
I'm understanding, looking up scriptures and enjoying it
The brother on the stage is enthusiastic and pleasing
The fact that all cannot hear it is my only regret

But then the brother begins to relate an experience
I begin to detect a change in his voice as he continues
The brother gets choked up by the sentiments,
And at the end of the discourse he grabs some tissues

Do you understand what that did to me?
I didn't cry when my grand mother died
But my eyes began to get teary
I felt the hard outer layer of my heart melt away inside

I felt, understood, envied, and appreciated why he got that way
Even as I recount this the tears start to flow again
This brother was happy, is truly happy each day,
Happiness and joy from his service that tears he began shedding

Just the fact in front of us all he showed a piece of his heart,
In that he let the joy and appreciation he felt in his heart spill over in tears
That gave me a feeling that there can be light from the dark
Also it made me think about all those wasted years

Maybe envious is the wrong because I desire his level of joy for us both
I guess jealous is more appropriate
We both took the same oath
I'm not happy like him, the reasons? I'd rather not say it

His tearing up on the stage reminded me of how I once felt,
And how I yearn to feel
This bad hand I got, I shuffled and dealt
My feelings of needed change are to real

To this brother I give thanks
The faithful slave I give thanks
But to my God I sincerely apologize

The Black Flames

In a dream, a dream, a dream
I walked through a raging fire
With flames the blackest of black
I felt no cold nor heat by their touch
But the eyes, the eyes watching me
I felt a feeling swell and die
Saw the world in full horror
In decay and demise and death
The world is a dying place
Filled with hate, envy and greed
Upon which the blackest flames
Dance, rage and scream
With a horror they scream aloud
Like a banshee calling
To death, while death is watching
I walked through a wall of fire
Where the flames were black
Darker than the night or shadows
All the while I felt nothing
Nothing but the eyes upon me

Sleep Teases A Man

Markov took off his boots and, with a deep breath, lay down on the divan.
He felt sleepy but, as soon as he closed his eyes, the desire for sleep immediately passed. Markov opened his eyes and stretched out his hand for a book. But sleep again came over him and, not even reaching the book, Markov lay down and once more closed his eyes. But, the moment his eyes closed, sleepiness left him again and his consciousness became so clear that Markov could solve in his head algebraical problems involving equations with two unknown quantities.
Markov was tormented for quite some time, not knowing what to do: should he sleep or should he liven himself up? Finally, exhausted and thoroughly sick of himself and his room, Markov put on his coat and hat, took his walking cane and went out on to the street. The fresh breeze calmed Makarov down, he became rather more at one with himself and felt like going back home to his room.
Upon going into his room, he experienced an agreeable bodily fatigue and felt like sleeping. But, as soon as he lay down on the divan and closed his eyes, his sleepiness instantly evaporated.

In a fury, Markov jumped up from his divan and, hatless and coatless, raced off in the direction of Tavrichesky Park.

Always It Will Be The Same

Sat around and checked my watch
As I waited for the midnight hour
And I thought about the things
That happened
On this day that began thirteen years ago
I started on this journey
I started on this journey
Yeah, I smile when I think about it
Know I cant live without it
Laugh and go on about this all the time
Never have I felt this way
Always will it be the same
Here I am infatuated
Never thought that it would take me up this far
When I picked up a guitar
And learned to play it for the first time
But here I am and here we are
Doing what we want to do
Im lucky beyond luck
And I wont mess it up
Yeah, I smile when I think about it
No I cant live without it
Laugh and go on about this all the time
Never have I felt this way
Always will it be the same
Here I am infatuated
Smile when I think about it
No I cant live without it
Laugh and go on about this all the time
Never have I felt this way
Always will it be the same
Here I am infatuated
Yeah, I smile when I think about it
No I cant live without it
Laugh and go on about this all the time
Never have I felt this way
Always will I be the same
Here I am infatuated
Yeahhh....
