Sleep Teases A Man

Markov took off his boots and, with a deep breath, lay down on the divan.
He felt sleepy but, as soon as he closed his eyes, the desire for sleep immediately passed. Markov opened his eyes and stretched out his hand for a book. But sleep again came over him and, not even reaching the book, Markov lay down and once more closed his eyes. But, the moment his eyes closed, sleepiness left him again and his consciousness became so clear that Markov could solve in his head algebraical problems involving equations with two unknown quantities.
Markov was tormented for quite some time, not knowing what to do: should he sleep or should he liven himself up? Finally, exhausted and thoroughly sick of himself and his room, Markov put on his coat and hat, took his walking cane and went out on to the street. The fresh breeze calmed Makarov down, he became rather more at one with himself and felt like going back home to his room.
Upon going into his room, he experienced an agreeable bodily fatigue and felt like sleeping. But, as soon as he lay down on the divan and closed his eyes, his sleepiness instantly evaporated.

In a fury, Markov jumped up from his divan and, hatless and coatless, raced off in the direction of Tavrichesky Park.

No Difference

i stared out the window
at the bare frozen limbs
of my favorite old tree...
i closed my eyes...
saw leaves bud forth
and turn green...
i opened my eyes...
knowing there was no difference.

i stared at the young girl
reading at a corner table
i closed my eyes...
and saw an old grandmother
washing dishes with her grandbabies
playing in the floor at her feet...
i opened my eyes...
knowing there was no difference.

i saw the young man
carrying his son on his shoulders
i closed my eyes...
and saw an old man standing
by his son's casket
draped by a flag...
i opened my eyes...
knowing there was no difference.

i saw an old man
standing on the corner begging
i closed my eyes...
i saw a young boy
playing ball in the street
laughing and dodging cars
i opened my eyes...
knowing there was no difference.

i saw a crack head shivering
by an electric heater in a bare apartment
i closed my eyes...
and saw a young a/g student
helping some kid with his math
i opened my eyes...
knowing there was no difference.

i saw a desperate girl
walking the streets
looking for a john
i closed my eyes...
and saw a young girl's room
stuffed animals on the bed
pictures of her and her daddy on the wall
i opened my eyes...
knowing there was no difference.

i saw a young man
wild-eyed with fear
in a prison cell
i closed my eyes...
i saw a young boy gone hunting
with his grandpa on thanksgiving morn
with his dog by his side
i opened my eyes...
knowing there was no difference.

i pulled back the veil of time...
knowing, there is no difference!

Closed My Eyes

I closed my eyes and went back to sleep,
thinking to get back to that bad dream
but unfortunately,
It was not this time.

I closed my eyes and went back to sleep,
hoping to wake up,
and welcome a beautiful day,
But was already caught in the darkness.

I closed my eyes and went back to sleep,
wishing to start the day,
seeing his face,
sadly that would just be in dream.

I closed my eyes and went back to sleep.
waiting for that wake up kiss,
but sadly never would be true again,

Dedicated to ppl who dont sleep

Sleep, sleep, sleep
It’s magnificent and nice,
With dreams beyond wonder,
Sleep! sleep! sleep!

Sleep, sleep, sleep
Eyes tightly closed,
A little smile on you r cheeks,
Feeling the ambiance
Of the pure and precious sleep,
Sleep! sleep! sleep!

Sleep, sleep, sleep
Forgetting insane things of the mixed world outside
Relax my dear, feel the gentle breeze,
Do not worry about tomorrow, do not weep,
Wake up fresh in the morning with a recuperate mind,
Fresh and blessed with a wonderful sleep,

Sleep Forever

Down I lie
Sleeping all day
Still asleep for years
Surrounded by tears
Of friends, relations and further
But still sleep, sleep and sleep forever.

My eyes all closed extremely shut
My body is dry, straight and flat
As I lie in wooden house
Helpless like a dead mouse
Alone with no any other
As I sleep, sleep and sleep forever.

In my best black suit
My voice on mute
Waiting for the judgement
In a new environment
Coping with underground weather
As I sleep, sleep and sleep forever.

I've left all my worth
And ignored all my breath
Tell that I slept to each and every head
For that's a polite word to me as the dead
To come back I'll never
It's a sleep, sleep and sleep forever.

Lily's Silent Tears

Each night Lily lay down her weary head
She pulled her pillow closer
Turned her face buried it deep as it soaked up all the silent tears
She cried, she begged,
She wished she hoped but most of all she closed her eyes and prayed
From the corners of her closed eyes a tear escaped….two… three….till she set them all free
Lily cried herself to sleep night after night
Crying over life and love lost
Time slipped by

High above in the heavens one night
There way up above you and I
Upon the brightest star
Sat he
Writing away his heart
He felt a tremor run through his heart
He heard a distant cry
He closed his eyes and there deep within the beauty of his loving heart He saw that tear
One silent solitary sad burning tear that bore so much pain
He closed his eyes and wished and willed
To see the owner of the tear
The silent tear that caused the tremor in his heart

He found Lily lying on her pillow crying herself to sleep
He reached out and touched her
Soothed her healed her loved her
Her days filled with warmth
Her nights filled with moonlight and love

Then one cold night he left a tremor in her heart
With unspoken word
He told her
He loved her
They were friends
But
He could never love her in the same way that she loved him
For his heart was already taken

Night after night once again Lily lays her head upon her faithful pillow
Night after night once gain she cries herself to sleep
Night after night once again she feels the tremor inside her heart
But
Night after night he feels the tremor of another

I Finally Found Forever

i finally found forever...
in the laughter of a small child,
in a raindropp rolling down the window.
in a flower that opened and closed
in one fleeting day.
in the embers of a fire going out.
in the door latch opened,
the shadow walking across the room.
in the old woman dying,
her face peaceful and calm.
in the smile of the young boy cuffed
in the back of the police van...
in the revolver unloaded,
and put back in the drawer.
in the box of clothes
left on the doorstep.
in the cup of coffee shared,
the plate, the fork, and the smoke.
in the moment of eyes engaged,
and talking without words...
in the given without thinking,
the breathe that was felt!

Be A Nice Baby Boy

Mom`s eyes was looking strange
Something was so cruel in her eyes
Mom made baby sleep
She whispered Hush now baby baby don`t you cry
Baby was boy he was staring at mom`s face and hands (breasts) with his black circle eyes
He was full of an unknown feeling
He didn`t know what was that but he knew it was
Moving inside his body
And looking his mom made it awaked
Baby felt a pleasure
Mom was clothing a white dress
She was a nurse
She knew all the medicines effects very well
She gave baby some sweet liquid
At once he fell into a so deepest asleep

Boy got up
It was 12 p.m.
He rush to the bathroom
Look at his eyes on the mirror
He open his eyes with trouble
He feels his head and eyes are so heavy
He spends all his time sleeping in the bed like a child
He is angry because he is always late
All the day he feels sleepy even when he get up from the sleeping
He is even tired when he is spending time with his girlfriend
His problem is that he feels senseless, tired and angry
I see night mares all the time
I take too much sleep I should go to the doctor
Mom asks: where are you going baby?
Boy says: mom I am not a child any more you are frustrating me with your questions and I am so tired

'You are always my baby,
I don`t know what`s going to my child,
This world is making him apart from me,
I think he is captured by a devil`s power,
He always wants to keep his room`s door closed,
He is going to make something hidden from my eye,
He talks to a girl through the phone,
But he is clean,
He helps to every people that never get to know,
He is so kind sympathized'.

Mom makes some mixed of pills
Solve it into a liquid:
I`m protecting you my son, '
You are only a child you can not protect from yourself,
I am making life more safe for you,
These pills will sleep some one for 24 hours,
Doctor gave them to the mothers after giving a birth,
For feeling less pain and sleep,
I will give it to you for sleeping and making the time of your day short,
You will not be suffered any more with visiting a girl and making conversation with her,
You will sleep all the day,
You will dream of making love,
Your feeling will be satisfied during your dream,
Just like the first time'

Mom is sitting near her son looking at him,
Touching his body caress his face
He is deeply sleeping
Mom whispers: Hush now baby baby don`t you cry
Be clean and healthy
Keep sleeping here
I love you.

The stars are shinning in d sky so clear...
The moon dat witnessed all our loving moments is staring at me
Its again and again asking where are 'WE'.....
I can see my friends my family is so delighted
Accepting all that is goin with spirit highlighted...

Hot Cha

Hot cha, where are you?
Everybodys eyes are closed
I cant see why I miss you so
So hot cha, where are you?
First time hot cha went away
A floating island was his home
Then the phone rang off the hook
And hot cha had to come back home
Hot cha, where are you?
Everybodys eyes are closed
I cant see why I miss you so
So hot cha, where are you?
Second time he went away
Left the bathtub running over
Stereo on and cooking bacon
Never came back to tell us why
If that honey would come back
We would throw such a party
Drink and cook the prodigal son
Fondue forks for everybody
Hot cha, where are you?
Everybodys eyes are closed
I cant see why I miss you so
So hot cha, where are you?
Hot cha, where are you?
Hot cha, where are you?

Bad Dreams (Children)

In my dream, I heard a tiger
so I hid behind a tree.
I was frightened he would eat me up
'cause he roared and roared at me.

I woke up scared and sweaty,
thought I'd sleep with Mom and Dad,
but when I went in their room,
Dad was snoring really bad.

I climbed between them anyway
with the blanket pulled up tight.
I closed my eyes and wished real hard.
No more tigers, not tonight!

I remembered what my daddy said,
that your bed is like a book.
If the page on the right is scary,
turn left and take a look.

I turned to my left and fell asleep.
The tiger wasn't there...
but in its place, and growling L O U D
was a big old grizzly bear!

This time, I woke up shaking!
That really scared me bad!
I had turned both left and right
and they were the only turns I had!

Daddy's snoring like a buzz saw.
How will I go to sleep?
I'm not too good at counting yet
or I'd count myself some sheep.

I thought about his snores some more...
hmmm, Daddy sounds just like a bear.
On second thought, a tiger, too,
so I got out of there.

I closed their door behind me,
then I tiptoed quietly,
and shut the door to MY room, too.
No more roaring snores for me!

How to get daytime sleep

As the night disappeared
So did my tiredness
The darkness was traded
For the sunshine

I was thinking to my self
I know im gonna pay for this
In the long run

Staying up all night
Has been fun
But when its time to get up
My awakeness is gonna
Want to run

Its gonna be hard to sleep
Now because of the sun
And if I try to stay up all day
My body is gonna be done

No need to fight
I should just let this
Sleep process begin

Eyes closed
And arms folded
Will defintely have
Sleep granted

A dark room
comfortable bed
And cozzy room
Will defintely give you
The sleep that you need

Everybody Wake Up

Everybody wake up
If your living with your eyes closed
See the man with the bomb in his hand
Everybody wake up
Oh baby its not easy sometimes
But built these walls
ever hide and hide behind them
Seems we not wait and try and make things right
Oh i feel like im crazy sometimes
Everybody wake up
If your living with your eyes closed
See the man with the bomb in his hand
Everybody wake up
I remember the words of a misguided fool
do unto others as you want them to do
not an eye for an eye is the golden rule
just leaves a room full of blind men
....
see the pig dressed in his finest fine
..
as the daylights sucked with fire
Everybody wake up
Everybody wake up
Everybody wake up
Wake up
Everybody wake up
If your livin with your eyes closed
See the man with the bun in his hand
Everybody wake up

In Mr Atkinson's Room

You saw Judy on the south wing
of the old folks nursing home
near to Mr Atkinson's room
carrying towels in her arms

I need to speak to you
you said
what about?
she asked

you playfully bundled her
into Bob Atkinson's room
(he was either
in the lounge

or out down town
hobbling along
for small items of shopping
or at the second-hand

book shop looking
for boy's annuals
of yesteryear
which he read

from cover to cover
before cutting out
the pictures
and sticking them

in albums)
what are you doing?
she said
what if Bob comes in?

he won't
he's out
you said
but what if he does?

she whispered
well unless I was rogering you
to kingdom come
I don't think he'd mind

you said
pressing her 5'5'' body
against the door
and looking into her

grey blue eyes
she gazed
into your eyes
and said

what do you need
to talk to me about?
I think I'm in love with you
you said

she sighed
that's the umpteen time
you've told me that
she said

she dropped the towels
on Bob's bed
and put her arms
around your waist

and drew you closer
you moved your left hand
around her back
and your right hand

on her buttocks
and said
that's because it's
umpteen times worse

or better depending
how you look at it
she kissed you on the lips
and you sensed

her tongue touch yours
her eyes closed
and you closed yours
the room becoming

a far away place
her perfume blending
into the air about you
the ticktock of Bob's

old clock on the bedside table
like some metronome
setting the pace
as if it was all part

of some song or some
deep aspect
of a Bruckner symphony
she pushed you away

and said
it's nearly break time
and people will wonder
why we're not there

and put one
and one together
ok
you said

removing your hand
from her butt
the warmth still there
her eyes still captured

in your inner self
thank you
for the Chagall postcard
I've put it on

my bedside table
along with that photo
you gave me of you
got to go

she said
and opened the door
and walked off
down the passage

you looked around
Bob's room
at the ticking clock
and the blue

candlewick cover
and the picture
of some boy
cut out of some

old annual
chasing a dog
over a field
and Judy's lips

and tongue
seemed still
to be there
in your mouth

and her hand enfolding
your waist and back
and Peter in the pants
going all slack.

Summer Rain

Where the Wind Blows
A little seed or a little pod
There it shall germinate and grow
So does the seed of love glows
Unexpected,
Sometimes unwanted
Alone in a crowded room
Cheers and clinking of glasses
Laughter and conversation
She could feel the energy
From way across the room
Their eyes locked in mutual concent
They know the depth of each other
Two people drawn together
A dizzying experience
When she felt his hand on her elbow
Steadying her balance
In zombie like movement
They glide to the exit
To be met with a shower of energetic
Summer rain

Without a word
She unclasped her coat
And slipped off her shoes
Eyes closed
Taking a deep breath
Faced up turned
Her naked arms stretched out
As she absorbs
The energy from each little rain drop
Slow and gentle swaying of her hips
She twirls
Time stood still
Swept away to the origin
Forgetting where she was
The energy absorbed within
Her aura glowing with purity
Of her soul

Everynight I Wake Up Screaming

If it's all a magnificent mistake
There goes the universe and it's order
I was dreaming wide awake
When something pulled me under the water
(Breathe) I can't surface I
(Breathe) Its in my fear
(Breathe) And I can't stop it
(Breathe) I can't, I can't breathe
(Breathe) I'm choking
(Breathe) And I don't want to sleep
Everynight I wake up screaming
We're the last tribe
as the world stops turning
Everynight I wake up screaming
My car crash isn't far from here
And everything looks better
with my eyes closed
Everything looks better
with my eyes closed
There's a terrorist somewhere
With my name on a bullet he's loading
There's a meteor out there
With the world in it's sights
and it's closing
Everynight I wake up screaming
We're the last you and me
as the world stops turning
Everynight I wake up screaming
The end of everything's very near
Everything looks better
with my eyes closed
Everything looks better
with my eyes closed
Everynight I wake up screaming
I'm the last man
as the world stops turning
Everynight I wake up screaming
Dreaming that I'm blind again
And everything looks better
with my eyes closed
Everything looks better
with my eyes closed

Never to be trapped In negative thoughts

Nothing was going right
Success not to be seen
Failure all around
The world looked like hell
Everybody, a devil
I was sad and depressed
Unable to sleep
I took a pill
Don’t remember
When the eyes closed?
I was going deep
In an unexplored black hole
The journey seemed endless
Didn’t know when it shall end?
I began to fear
Remembered god
Get me out of the mess
Then, I saw ray of light
Felt as if
The journey was come to its end
I heard a voice
Which woke me from my sleep?
Drenched in perspiration
I opened my eyes
Mother standing on my side
Her hands in my hair
Her eyes wet
Don’t worry, she said
Have faith in god and belief in your self
Everything will be all right
My fear gone
Full of hope
I got up from the bed
With greater determination
To work harder for my goal
Never to be trapped
In negative thoughts
