So many older people, they just sit around all day long and they don't get any exercise. Their muscles atrophy, and they lose their strength, their energy and vitality by inactivity.

Be Watchful After Thirty
You lose a pound a year
Your muscles, past thirty,
To be replaced by fat
In equal or more by weight.
To stop it, do exercise.
Your hormones dry out.
To stop it, see opposite sex.
Your energy is in decline.
To conserve it do Pranayama.
Let it be not too late.

You can't get rid of it with exercise alone. You can do the most vigorous exercise and only burn up 300 calories in an hour. If you've got fat on your body, the exercise firms and tones the muscles. But when you use that tape measure, what makes it bigger? It's the fat!

Metabolism
Heard of metabolism?
Derivative of Metabolic.
No magical schism,
Just little scientific.
To lose the weight
Experts have said
Exercise and diet
Calories burn on quiet
It sounds so simple,
And yet it's complex.
To rid of dimples,
And get ripples.
Muscles toning,
Strength training.
If you like Aerobics,
Not for the phobic,
High on impact,
and very compact.
And in conclusion
A needed inclusion
The right motivation
To get into action.
He who lives in the single exercise of his mental faculties, however usefully or curiously directed, is equally an imperfect animal with the man who knows only the exercise of muscles.

When
When?
When did the snowfall
Lose it’s magic?
When did the night sky
Commence to look small?
It was when I grew up…
When did the past
Become so tragic
When did the shadows
Start to fall
It was when I grew older…
When did the sunset
Lose it’s wonder
When did the sunrise
Lose it’s ability to awe
It was when I grew old and jaded…
When did people’s names
Become so hard to remember
When did I lose
The love of September
I think… I think it was when I got older still….
When did I start crying
At the smallest sad thing
When did my memory
Begin to take wing
I think it was….I’m almost sure it was…
But I can’t exactly….remember just
when

Multifaceted health
You must have strong bones;
Do isometric exercise.
You must have healthy heart;
Do jumps and runs.
You must have toned muscles;
Do pull ups and sit ups.
You must have energy stored;
Do breathe in and breathe out.
You must beat your stress out;
Do rotate your ankles and muse.
To enrich your reflex action
Play outdoor games.

Life span curtailed
Comforts promote inactivity [physical].
Inactivity promotes heart attack.
Comforts promote activity [mental].
It in turn over long run brings heart attack.
Prosperity targets hearts [corporal].
Poverty touches hearts [mentally].

Spent Lonely Days
They are very different
These spent lonely days
They leave a terrible mark
On the person who spent
Those lonely days.
Spent lonely days
Are quite likely
To be
Days of inactivity
For inactivity
Is a major reason, you see
Why people are lonely.

The Feeling That We Have
(charlie smalls)
Put your arms around me child
Like when you bumped your shin
Then youll know I love you now
As I loved you then
Though you maybe trying sometimes
And Ill need you
And youre not there
You know I may get mad
And turn away
But you know that I still care
But you cannot ask for more
Than can come from me
I am older than you are
And one day youll see
If I lose my patience with you
And I suddenly start to scream
Its only because I just want you to be
Everything that I see in my dreams
And Id like to know its there
The feeling that we have
When you know that you can come
Running to me
Whenever times are bad
Dont lose the feeling that we have
Dont lose the feeling that we have
Though you are growing older now
And Im watching you grow
I know I make you sad sometimes
And I see your feeling show
But one day Ill look around
And you will be grown
Youll be out in the world
Such a pretty girl
Youll be on your own
And Id like to know its there
The feeling that we have
Knowing that you can come to me
Whenever you are sad
And Id like to know its there
The feeling that we have
Dont lose the feeling that we have
Dont lose the feeling that we have
Dont lose the feeling that we have

To conserve energy
Energy drains away in discomforts.
Pain, fear and anger contribute to it.
Energy conserves well in comforts.
Peace and happiness squarely promote it.
Be with the people you are at ease with
Rather than the ones who are indifferent.
Energy is conserved in privacy
And drained in public puzzles.
Love is the greatest energy saver.
Faith, belief and hope add to energy.
Doubts and suspicion erode energy.
To conserve energy is in your hand.

Exercise It
Exercise the will to succeed
The will can successfully enjoy itself.
Exercise the mind to proceed
The brain has much in procedure.
Exercise the body and to bleed
Inside the layers of itself.
Exercise again and again, indeed
To enliven the soul for its task.

We Since Age
We since ages have bent upon,
To make friends with scorpions and snakes,
But these limbs, muscles and network f veins
Have not gone through the agony of exercise.
We have not dug trenches since long,
And fastened stone on the bellies,
We have besieged our minds with iron-walls
In such a way as all waves are infertile.
We have sown nothing on our farms,
Only the crop of heads which is not our own too.

It seems every year, people make the resolution to exercise and lose weight and get in shape.
Sonnet- The Aging World
Our earth is going bald, losing its trees!
The people turning greyer as years pass;
Tornadoes come often; there is no breeze!
The old citizens forming larger mass.
Just as in politics, older men thrive!
Despite brain-atrophy, they think a lot;
Eccentric demeanor keeps them alive;
As some have turned into a mere zealot.
The world employs old men, paying them less,
And tries to suppress younger men, women;
The aged look better off nevertheless!
I wonder if the same is in Heaven.
And Geriatrics is much sought a field;
The world is bothered not about to its yield.
