Thought and Memory (Huginn and Muninn)
O’er the waters of time
My attention is quickly drawn
As Thought soars the heavens with
Memory at its side
By thorn and thicket we have passed
At times we struggle through
As that around us tears and shreds
Yet time we abide
Travel we birds of like feather
Black as night, strong as day
A reflection, one to another
Two arrows taking flight
We chance upon the wind
Unyielding as the grave
Our ballad, sight and sorrow
Two ravens in the night

Sometimes An Old Memory Gets In My Eye
Like someone drowning I reach for a straw
Grasping for love where there's no love at all
Slowly I'm sinking as time drags by and sometimes an old memory gets in my eye
I struggle for strenght to face the dawn
And I'm freezing to death without you to keep me warm
I hold an arm full of nothing close to my side
And sometimes an old memory gets in my eye
Sometimes an old memory gets in my eye
And when it's ours it's hard to keep my eyes dry
Don't think you see tears for I never cry
But sometimes an old memory gets in my eye
Yes sometimes an old memory gets in my eye

7 Weeks
Go
So your still the same, there's nothing left in me
Do you really think that we could save this?
Now get off your feet and really do something
Do you really think it matters anyway?
You said that we were fine, your lying all this time
Your the thorn that's in my side
7 weeks go by, it's so hard to say goodbye
Take your thorn
Take your pills so you can feel more of this and more of me
Don't shut that door in my face
Do you really it matters?
Do you really think it matters anyway?
You said that we were fine, your lying all this time
Your the thorn that's in my side
7 weeks go by, it's so hard to say goodbye
Take your thorn out of my side
My side, my side
Take your thorn out of my side
My side, my side
Take your thorn out of my side
You said that we were fine, your lying all this time
Your the thorn that's in my side
7 weeks go by, it's so hard to say goodbye
Take your thorn out of my side

Thorn In My Side
Thorn in, my side.
And you live just to pull me down.
Rusted, nail I stepped on.
This infection.
Thorn in my side.
Youre full,
I think so,
of anger.
You need to sit down,
stay down.
The things you, want but dont get.
Is that fair, I dont think so.
A sure thing, you can count, on.
A big depression.
A thorn in my side.
Youre full,
I think so,
of anger.
You need to.
Your praise, is two faced,
And youre,
youre cut down,
my friend.
Cut Down.
(One, two, three, four by Sergio Vega)
A thorn in my side, thorn in.
A thorn in my side, thorn in.

The Green Thicket
All in a green thicket I heard a bird sing,
And blithe though his song was it made the tears spring,
To hear a bird sing as he swung on his spray,
All in a green thicket at break of the day.
All in a green thicket his song it did pour
That told of the Springs that shall come nevermore,
That sang of sweet blossoms, now faded and dry,
All in a green thicket in Aprils gone by.
All in a green thicket that morning in Spring,
I smelt the sharp scent of each young growing thing,
I smelt the sweet herbage all drowned with the dew,
And the time that's gone from me was with me anew.
All in a green thicket at break of the day
It was like the dear voice of a friend far away,
It was like the kind touch of a hand that I know,
And the smile and the tears of dead Aprils ago,
All in a green thicket one morning in Spring,
For to smell the young woodland and hear the bird sing,
Oh, long did I loiter and dream by the way,
All in a green thicket at break of the day.

Spare a Dime
You walk right on passed him everyday,
Stepping to one side 'cause he's in your way.
You look down on him making a clutter,
A poor lonely man down in the gutter.
A judgment is made upon this poor soul,
Fallen on hard times now in a hole.
You quickly rush by him and try not to see,
You think that you are better he.
You don't know his history or why he's there
And like many others you don't seem care
He's like the garbbage of no interest or use
Only fit for hate and abuse.
You walk right passed him, pretend he's not there
Yet he's still human in need of your care,
He once had a family and some one to love
Just give him your pity, heavens above.
So if he asks you to spare him a cent
Just think of it as a kindly hand lent
And give him a coin you've nothing to lose
And just be grateful you're not in his shoes.

My Memories
Today will be a memory
yesterday is a memory drifting away
memories turn into tears,
tearing us apart.
Fear of moving on, afraid of change,
in a minute this will just be a memory
memories are all pain in vain
memories are like dreams, a reflection of the past.
Memories are vision of what it used to be.
my memories are sadness and struggle
what are yours?
are they sadness and struggle?
You are but a memory
that dwindles as each day passes me by.
and as you slowly vanish
I huddle in my room and cry.
A memory that’s all I have
that’s all that’s left of you
nothing but a mere memory
that still lingers, only for a little while longer in my head.
Don’t forget about the past
without memories there is no yesterday.
make every day one to remember a
memory to move on with no regrets

Bridge Over Troubled Waters
When You're Weary Feelin' Small
When Tears Are In Your Eyes I Will Dry Them All
I'm On Your Side Oh When Times Get Rough
And Friends Just Can't Be Found
Like A Bridge Over Troubled Waters
I Will Lay Me Down
Like A Bridge Over Troubled Waters
I Will Lay Me Down
When You're Down And Out When You're On The Street
When Evening Falls So Hard I Will Comfort You
I'll Take Your Part Oh When Darkness Comes
And Pain Is All Around
Like A Bridge Over Troubled Waters
I Will Lay Me Down
Like A Bridge Over Troubled Waters
I Will Lay Me Down
Sail On Children Sail On By
Your Time Has Come To Shine All Their Dreams Are On Their Way
See How They Shine Oh When You Need A Friend
I'm Sailing Right Behind
Like A Bridge Over Troubled Waters
I Will Ease Your Mind
Like A Bridge Over Troubled Waters
I Will Ease Your Mind
I'll Ease Your Mind

All Shes Got
This place reminds me of,
A time thats way too old.
These thoughts have gathered up the memories unfold.
But for now I dont see whats so wrong with pretending
Its true I thought you knew.
Believe her, its all shes got to pass the time
Believe her, its over now shes passed her prime.
Believe her, its all shes got to keep things right
Believe her its all shes got its all shes got.
Its all shes got, its all shes got.
These days keep getting worse Im wasting all my time.
I thought Id come in first, instead I fell behind.
I dont know, I dont know if I can keep this up to long.
It seems most every time my motives are all wrong
But for now I dont see whats so wrong with pretending
Its true I thought you knew.
Believe her, its all shes got to pass the time
Believe her, its over now shes passed her prime.
Believe her, its all shes got to keep things right
Believe her its all shes got its all shes got.
Its times like this, but times run out
Its times like this, but times run out
Its times like this, but times run out
Its times like this, I want to,
Believe her, its all shes got to pass the time
Believe her, its over now shes passed her prime.
Believe her, its all shes got to keep things right
Believe her its all shes got its all shes got.

Just Passing Time
Passing time,
Time passes.
And longing for times past.
With no pastime,
I think of past times.
Times of joy.
Sorrowful times.
Layered.
Like an alluvial plain,
I am inundated, flooded.
As the past floods in
Passing by the inner eye
I time travel.
Bad thoughts by passed
Passed all thought
They pass away.
Pass into the past
To lie again quiescent
A timely demise
For times past.

Orpheus In The Underworld
Curtains of rock
And tears of stone,
Wet leaves in a high crevice of the sky:
From side to side the draperies
Drawn back by rigid hands.
And he came carrying the shattered lyre,
And wearing the blue robes of a king,
And looking through eyes like holes torn in a screen;
And the distant sea was faintly heard,
From time to time, in the suddenly rising wind,
Like a broken song.
Out of his sleep, from time to time,
From between half open lips,
Escaped the bewildered words which try to tell
The tale of his bright night
And his wing-shadowed day
The soaring flights of thought beneath the sun
Above the islands of the seas
And all the deserts, all the pastures, all the plains
Of the distracting foreign land.
He sleeps with the broken lyre between his hands,
And round his slumber are drawn back
The rigid draperies, the tears and wet leaves,
Cold curtains of rock concealing the bottomless sky.

Hey Now!
I hitched a ride with my soul
By the side of the road
Just as the sky turned black
I took a walk with my fame
Down memory lane
I never did find my way back
You know that I gotta say times slipping away
And what will it hold for me
What am I gonna do while Im looking at you
Youre standing ignoring me
I thought that I heard someone say now
Theres no time for running away now
Hey now! hey now!
Feel no shame - cos times no chain
Feel no shame
The first thing I saw
As I walked through the door
Was a sign on the wall that read
It said you might never know
That I want you to know
What is written inside of your head
And time as it stands
Wont be held in my hands
Or living inside of my skin
And as it fell from the sky
I asked myself why
Can I never let anyone in ?
I thought that I heard someone say now
Theres no time for running away now
Hey now! hey now!
Feel no shame - cos times no chain
Feel no shame
I hitched a ride with my soul
By the side of the road
Just as the sky turned black
I took a walk with my fame
Down memory lane

And what will it hold for me

Those Times Never Forgotten
Sometimes the best remedy,
That comes to assist one to heal quickly...
Is not the familiar 'cry-on-the-shoulder-kind'!
With a soothing of tears and a warm embrace.
Sometimes some cures are better done,
When that person is left alone.
To figure out how to deal,
With agony, pain and stress on their own.
And hopefully a going through the process...
Will increase an appreciation!
And perhaps the acknowledgement,
Of this is shown.
Sometimes this works!
And at other times...
Be on the alert!
Especially when those 'sometimes'
Most of the time...
Are those times never forgotten,
By the ones turned away the first time.
You know...
There are those times that come,
When 'some' people have none to spare!
To express an empathy or caring.
And we all will have those times,
When a comforting should have been extended.
And a selfishness not to listen...or pretend,
Reveals more than what had been intended.
And...
Even though a healing process does occur?
The hearing of it,
Never seems to end.
With reminders left to dig deep under the skin.
'WHY?
Why are you still harboring on that?
How long do you want me to apologize?
For the rest of my life? '
~I hadn't thought of that as an option.
Let me give that some thought!
Thank you for the suggestion.
I appreciate that.~

The Rose
In my hand I held the rose
As I would a woman dear,
Within my fingers I held it tight
As I wished it would not disappear.
From the touch, sight and beauty that I knew,
When the kiss of beauty, once had blew.
I held the rose as I would a love
As I had held in memory and thought,
And then the rose I could not let go
For the same as a lover, she became my soul.
The stem became the body and the petals became the skin,
Then I held her lightly, within the wind.
The rose held me, as I had held her
The two of us had become one
Then the act of God had prevailed that day
For he commanded the wind to take the rose away.
And towards the heavens She had flew,
As though to join the love that I once had knew.
In my hand there laid a thorn
Though to remind me of the sting of death,
So upon the Earth, I then laid the thorn
So love of life could again be reborn.
I buried the thorn as you would a dream,
Knowing never again, will it be seen.

Evil Wind
Ten thousand miles I've travelled,
Ten thousand miles an' more,
Now I found myself standing,
Outside of my babies door.
I've been gone such a long time,
I never thought I would return,
Now I found myself standing in the rain,
Waiting for your key to turn, yeah, yeah.
Evil wind, passed me by,
Troubled waters, pay me no mind. I have heard the thunder,
Rolling across the sky, I have seen the morning sun,
Burn on a mountain high, I have crossed the waters
That will keep them miles apart, Now I know the time has come
To make a brand new start.
Evil wind, passed me by, Troubled waters, pay me no mind, Yeah.
Fly plane I'm coming home again, Plane fly, like an eagle
through the sky, Evil wind, troubled water, Pay me no mind; pay me no mind, oh.
Oh, yeah.
Evil wind, passed me by,
Troubled waters, pay me no mind, yeah.

Here Comes The Tears
Once I dreamed that love would come and sweep me up away
Now it seems lifes passed me by, Im still alone today
Here come the tears
Looks like itll always be the same
No one here to comfort me
Here come the tears
All alone, no one cares.
So much to give to you all out there.
Take me now, in your arms.
Let me rest, safe from harm.
Ohhh.... I want to be loved...
I need to be loved...
Wont somebody love me....
(solo)
Here they come, here come the tears...
Here they come, here come the tears...
Here they come, here come the tears...
Here they come, here come the tears...
Here they come, here come the tears...
Here they come, here come the tears...
Here they come, here come the tears...
Here they come, here come the tears...
Here they come, here come the tears...
Here they come, here come the tears... *
(* repeat two more times in background)
Here come the tears...
Here come the tears...
Here come the tears...
Here come the tears...
Here come the tears, ohhh
Here come the tears, ohhh
Here come the tears

Perhaps
perhaps an evil thorn
could stop the bleeding pain
wherever it were born
for those mad and sane
perhaps those evil hours
could stop the sandy moments
or maybe make the flowers
out of thorn like torments
perhaps some blissful hands
could touch the golden skies
for whoever understands
the why of all the whys
perhaps the longest hair
could make a silent nest
perhaps it could pair
the worst and the best
perhaps the waters wide
could spill when all time lapses
to make an ocean's side
say no to all perhapses

Beauty
I pricked my finger on a thorn
and saw my blood run red.
I winced but focused on the rose
beside the thorn instead.
For pain is nothing compared to beauty.
It's just a temporary phase.
But the rose beside the thorn that hurts
is worthy of all praise.
I pressed the rose inside my book
so that it would last.
I saw the thorn that pricked my finger
but the moment of that had passed.
For lasting pain recedes in time
but beauty stays with you.
Now as I reopen the book once more
It's only the beauty I view.

Dooms Day
Many a times
I passed through trouble
Many a times
I passed through pain
I was exploited
I was was humiliated
I was condemned
I was consumed by mystery
My wings were taken
So i couldn't fly
All i eat all day was my cry
I asked myself why
And there came a voice saying
In your affliction
Will you learn right
In your oppression
Will you rise how to fight
The sun shines at day
And stars at night
Arise and see the light
After six comes seven
I passed through hell
Before i could see heaven
I did not know that my worries
Will lead me to my haven
Many times
I passed through trouble
Many a times
I passed through pain
