Spare a Dime
You walk right on passed him everyday,
Stepping to one side 'cause he's in your way.
You look down on him making a clutter,
A poor lonely man down in the gutter.
A judgment is made upon this poor soul,
Fallen on hard times now in a hole.
You quickly rush by him and try not to see,
You think that you are better he.
You don't know his history or why he's there
And like many others you don't seem care
He's like the garbbage of no interest or use
Only fit for hate and abuse.
You walk right passed him, pretend he's not there
Yet he's still human in need of your care,
He once had a family and some one to love
Just give him your pity, heavens above.
So if he asks you to spare him a cent
Just think of it as a kindly hand lent
And give him a coin you've nothing to lose
And just be grateful you're not in his shoes.

Walk Away
Dont say I love you, I wont say that I care
Ill pretend I never kissed you, or held you, or worshipped you
I swear
Ill live in denial for as long as I live
Cuz *what I need baby, this love just cant give
We have to walk away
We have to walk away
Ill try not to sing, youll try not to talk with those lips
Well forget all the sweet memories, and now well just go with what
Is
Cuz this love aint loving, and I dont know why
But anything that stands so still cant be alive
We have to walk away
We have to walk away
[refrain]
But there were times our love was, so sweet
And its *memory that makes me want to make it last
But you cant make love work, anymore than you can make it leave
And its then you gotta leave it yourself
[refrain2]
Cuz when love aint loving but still aint leaving
Its then you gotta leave it yourself
Now jealousy can ride your heart like a sick kind of pony
And envys just the same
And your loneliness can consume you no matter how much love you had
And when it all boils down, baby, theres no other way
And I *care much more than to make you stay
We have to walk away
We have to walk away
So at night, when darkness fills me,
Ill pretend you never spoke my name
When Im sitting home that lonely,
Ill pretend youre home and lonely, oh just the same
And Ill pretend this sorrow, this sorrow will pass
And Ill try to pretend that this loneliness wont last
And that Ill walk away
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Refrain
Repeat
Refrain2
Repeat
So dont say
So dont say I love you
I wont say that I care

Not Rich In Money
I may not be rich in money but I'm rich of happiness
I don't care about money
Why?
Money can't buy everything, especially feelings
Money can't last forever
I'm happy even though I'm not rich
I have a good life, I have wonderful friends and families, and most of all: I am loved and cared
Being loved and cared is far better than having money
What will you choose?
Money or friendship and love?
I am grateful for all the things God gave me
Money doesn't matter
So what if you have a lot of money
But do you feel happy?
Being happy is more important than money
Why?
Because if you're not happy... it's hard to heal unhappiness as time goes by
I am happy as long as my family and friends care about me
I am happy to have such wonderful friends and family that supports me everyday
I am happy
Even if I'm poor... but I'm happy because my family and friends fill my heart with laughters, jokes, and smile in which all the burdens and stress flows away like the wind
Being poor is good though
You see poor people that are happy
Because they have each other
You can do anything with each other and do anything together
I am thankful God...
Thank you forgiving me such a wonderful life with the best friends and family in the world
Thank you for making me feel happiness everyday
Thank you God, for supoorting me, my family, and my friends
Thank you God, for protecting everybody in this world. Even you.
How Was I To Know
(blair daly/will rambeaux)
Well I hoped and I prayed, I loved you from afar
I cried, and I dreamed, wished on every star
But nothin Id do got me closer to you
So I locked all my feelings inside
Then one night across a crowded room
You looked my way, your eyes held something new
You walked right up to me and smiled tenderly
And your words came as such a surprise
Well how was I to know
You never let it show
What a beauty like you might see
In a poor boy like me
How could I have seen
You walk out of my dreams
Shine your light on my sleepin heart
And into my soul
How was I to know
You took my hand and led me out the door
We talked and we laughed
bout all the times before
When two lonely people so much in love
Passed like ships in the night
Well how was I to know
You never let it show
What a beauty like you might see
In a poor boy like me
How could I have seen
You walk out of my dreams
Shine your light on my sleepin heart
And into my soul
How was I to know
How could I have seen
You walk out of my dreams
Shine your light on my sleepin heart
And into my soul
How was i
How was I to know

Walk Away
Even if you love me still
I don't wanna know
just walk away and let me go
I have nothing to give you
that you want me to show
the pain is too dark that I feel
and I don't know what is real
I don't deserve to have you here
so don't tell me that you care
I have nothing to give you left to share
just walk away and leave me there
I can't give you something that isn't true
And when your nights are cold
and the sky turns gray
don't look for me to hold
just turn and walk away

I Can't Say No
Here I am
There you are
If you ask me to walk a thousand miles just to be where you are,
I can? say no
If you ask me.
If I had a dime, it? yours as well as mine.
I? keep the penny, you know I would and gladly give you the nine.
I can? say no
If you ask me
Ooh, ooh, ooh,
If you told me tonight to get up
Pack my bags let? go away,
I wouldn? even care what my Mommy, what my Daddy might have to say.
?ause I can? say no
If you ask me .
Ooh, ooh no!
(You?e too beautiful to be. to be)
You know I can? say it, baby no!
(You mean everything to me)
No ifs and no maybe?
No!
(that? why I, that? why I, that? why I, that? why)
You know I can? say it baby,
I can? say no
If you ask me.
Ooh ooh ooh. Sometimes I get so angry with him
I walk around I pout all day.
And the he kisses me and asks me do I love him
In a sweet soft sexy kind of way,
I can? say no
If he asks me.
On No I can? say no if he asks me.
I can? so if he asks me

An Old Pair Of Shoes
Verse 1:
Ive walked a million miles across this floor
But I never have quite made it to the door
I never thought the time would come
Id ever see this day
When you could make me feel so thrown away
Chorus:
Im feeling like an old pair of shoes
All worn out from walking through these blues
Theres a hole in my soul
And Im really feeling used
Im just like an old pair of shoes
Verse 2:
Youve always been my one and only, love
It aint no easy thing to give you up
Looking back Im feeling like
Theres nothing left to lose
This time I may just walk out on you cause
Repeat chorus:
Tagg:
Theres a hole in my soul
And Im really feeling used
Im just like an old pair of shoes

Walk on by.
Just walk on by ignoring me
Why should you care that I'm hungry
You are well fed and warmly dressed
You demonstrate no interest.
You can pretend you do not see
And go your way quite happily.
I used to hold the self same view.
But that was long before I knew.
What it was like to lose it all.
The happy times I can recall.
Fate snatched away most suddenly.
Now I depend on charity.
Something I thought I'd never do
But circumstances force me to.

Screw all those Facebook groups, heres everything I hate and love in one list.
I hate when you climb so far up, and the smallest mistake has you falling to your death. Again.
I hate when the who person means s*** to you makes you cry.
I hate when your happy and your best friends sad, and you sad and your best friends happy.
I hate watching people cry over some stupid b****.
I hate when you miss the sunrise.
I hate when the person you love ignores you.
I hate when it comes to the point that you don't even feel like explaining why your sad anymore.
I hate when your tinniest wishes don't come true.
I hate watching my friends go through the same pain as me.
I hate making the same mistake twice.
I hate insults.
I hate people who pick on one kid who never did anything, when they should be picking on each other.
I hate when the a**hole gets away with it.
I hate how I cry whenever I'm trying to say something important.
I hate when someone pity's you.
I hate when people flip out over stupid stuff.
I hate when girls cause drama just cause.
I hate when people fight.
I hate when you lose the one you love.
I hate when you regret doing something really big.
I hate when I'm mean to people.
I hate when people are mean to me.
I hate feeling alone....all the freaking time.
I hate when your parents are disappointed in you.
I hate my life.
But I love laughing with my friends till my tummy hurts.
I love watching home videos with everyone.
I love taking a walk right after it rains.
I love seeing that innocent look in an animals eyes.
I love the rush of being at a concert.
I love having a moment with a complete stranger in the hallway.
I love those times when the person you love is looking into your eyes and you look back.
I love making people smile.
I love those moments when your not really sure why, but your so unbelievably content with who you are.
I may hate MY life, but I love life.

The Great Train Robbery
I'm not a guy wants to shirk
I just want to get to work.
But every morning just my luck
To be packed in cattle a truck.
Crushed and shaken to the bone,
Not enough space to use my phone.
The trains are dirty poor and slow,
Some never even make a show.
Everyday it just gets worse.
What have we done to be so cursed.
The price we pay is really high,
They'll keep on squeezing till we're dry
The amount we pay you must agree
Is just a great train robbery.

Just Passing Time
Passing time,
Time passes.
And longing for times past.
With no pastime,
I think of past times.
Times of joy.
Sorrowful times.
Layered.
Like an alluvial plain,
I am inundated, flooded.
As the past floods in
Passing by the inner eye
I time travel.
Bad thoughts by passed
Passed all thought
They pass away.
Pass into the past
To lie again quiescent
A timely demise
For times past.

A Walk On The Beach
At your side, I will stand, together we'll walk, through the sand. With the setting sun, and a summer breeze, reflecting our love, on the open seas. A walk on the beach, I will share, hand in hand, we walk with care. Making our hearts, strong and brave, along with the passions, of thee ocean waves. Together in love, our souls will teach, and guide our future, as we walk on the beach. For I am in love...

Yes, I Will
I open my eyes I see your face
I cannot hide I cant erase
The way you make me feel inside
You complete me girl, thats why
Something about you makes me feel
Baby my heart wants to reveal
Im down on my knees, Im asking you
So these three words I wanna hear from you
Chorus:
Yes I will, take your hand and walk with you
Yes I will, so these three words I promise to
Yes I will, give you everything you need
And someday start a family with you
Yes I will, take your hand and walk with you
Yes I will, baby I promise to
Yes I will, give you everything you need
And someday start a family with you
Oh yes I will
This is no ordinary love
And I can never have enough
Of all the things youve given to me
My heart , my soul , my everything
Every night I thank you lord (I thank you lord)
For giving me the strength to love her more
And more each day I promise her
As long as I hear those three words
Chorus:
Yes I will, take your hand and walk with you
Yes I will, so these three words I promise to
Yes I will, give you everything you need
And someday start a family with you
Yes I will, take your hand and walk with you
Yes I will, baby I promise to
Yes I will, give you everything you need
And someday start a family with you
Bridge:
I stand beside you, in everything you do
Wherever you go, whatever you do
Baby Ill be there (oh baby I will be there)
As God as my witness
I will carry this through
Till death do us part, I promise to you
Chorus:
Yes I will, take your hand and walk with you
Yes I will, baby baby yes I promise to
Yes I will, give you everything you need
And start a family with you, baby
Yes I will
Yes I will
Yes I will, I promise you
Everythings gonna be all right
Its gonna be all right
I will

Put Yourself In My Shoes
Your mind is made up you wont even try
You didnt even cry this time
You say that we could never see eye to eye
And one of us just must be blind
We have our differences
Were still the same
See what we want to see
But you take a second look
And maybe things wouldnt seem the same
If you could see what you mean to me
Put yourself in my shoes
Walk a mile for me
Ill put myself in your shoes
Maybe then wed see
That if you put yourself in my shoes
Youd have some sympathy
And if I could only put myself in your shoes
Id walk right back to me
Youre gonna keep walkin and youre gonna pass me by
You say you dont even care
But I could always recognize a real good-bye
And I know your hearts not there
Weve had our differences
Were still the same
Hear what we want to hear
Now Im head over heels in the lost and found
Its a cryin shame
I thought we made the perfect pair
Put yourself in my shoes
Walk a while walk that mile for me
Ill put myself in your shoes
Maybe then wed see
That if you put yourself in my shoes
Youd have some sympathy
And if I could only put myself in your shoes
Id walk right back to me
Id walk right back to me
Id walk right back to me

The Love Sonnets Of Proteus. Part III: Gods And False Gods: LXI
TO ONE EXCUSING HIS POVERTY
Ah! love, impute it not to me a sin
That my poor soul thus beggared comes to thee.
My soul a pilgrim was, in search of thine,
And met these accidents by land and sea.
The world was hard, and took its usury,
Its toll for each new night in each new inn;
And every road had robber bands to fee;
And all, even kindness, must be paid in coin.
Behold my scrip is empty, my heart bare.
I give thee nothing who my all would give.
My pilgrimage is finished, and I fare
Bare to my death, unless with thee I live.
Ah! give, love, and forgive that I am poor.
Ah! take me to thy arms and ask no more.

How Can A Poor Man Stand Such Times & Live ?
(alfred reed)
(g) - (c) - (g7) - (d) - (d7) - (am)
(g) I remember a time when every (d) thing was (g) cheap
Now prices nearly puts a man to (d) sleep
(d7) well, when we (g) get our grocery (g7) bill
We (c) feel like making our (am) will
Tell me, (g) how can a poor man (d7) stand such times and (g) live ?
Tell me, (g) how can a poor man (d7) stand such times and (g) live ?
Well, the doctor comes around with his face all bright
And he says, in a little while youll be all right!
Well, all he gives is a humbug pill
Dose of dope and a great big bill
Tell me, how can a poor man stand such times and live ?
Tell me, how can a poor man stand such times and live ?
Most preachers, well, they preach for gold and not for soul
Well, thats what keeps us poor folks always in a hole
Now, we can hardly get our breath
Taxed and schooled and preached to death
Tell me, how can a poor man stand such times and live ?
Tell me, how can a poor man stand such times and live ?

My Parents vs my brothers and sisters
I read all these poems and I don't understand,
They all say family is there for you first at hand,
Its different for mine and this I know,
My family isn't a family that is what they show,
I always thought family comes first,
But in our times of need they are the worst,
Always making excuses and lies,
Blaming it on us trying to get a rise,
They don't see it or just don't care,
They've turned their own kids against them that's rare,
They look the other way when things get rough,
While we comfort each other when things get tough,
Thank God for my Brothers and Sisters too,
If it wasn't for them I don't know what I would do,
They give me hope and give me love,
Something a Mother and Father should have done,
Don't get me wrong I love them a lot
I just wish they would've gave parenting a shot,
Maybe one day they will understand,
What we've gone through first at hand.

Walk Away
Drowning in self pity
Such a lonely fool
What did i do that was so bad?
Oh sorry, did i break a rule?
It's a common sitiation
But what do you care?
I was always there
You were never there
So stop all the heartache
Don't pretend to act sad
You've got what you wanted
So forget what we had
The future is forward
The past is recycled in memories
So walk away
If you really can
Just walk away

I'm Alive
I'm Alive
Neil Diamond
Talk a walk
We can hardly breathe the air
Look around
Its a hard life everywhere
People talk but they never really care
On the street theres a feeling of dispair
Everyday theres a brand new baby born
Everyday theres a sun to keep you warm
When its alright
Yeah, its alright
Im alive
And I dont care much for words of doom
If its love you need
Well I got the room
Its a simple thing changed in me
When I found you
Im alive
Im alive
Every night on the streets of Hollywood
Pretty girls come to give you something good
Love for sale
Its a lonely town at night
Theraphy for a heart misunderstood
Look around theres a flower on every street
Look around and its growing at your feet
Everyday you can hear me say
That Im alive
I wanna take all that life has got to give
All I need is someone to share it with
I got love and love is all I really need to live
Im alive
Im alive
Everyday theres a brand new baby born
Everyway theres enough to keep you warm
Its ok
And Im glad to say
Im alive
And I dont care much for words of doom
If its love you got well Ive got the room
Its a simple thing that came to me when I found you
Im alive
Im alive
And I dont care much for words of doom
If its love you need well I got the room
Its a simple thing that came to me and I thank god
Im alive
I can take all that life has got to give
If Ive got someone to share it with

I hate you and me
I hate you for treating me bad
I hate you for using me
I hate you for telling me I am crazy
I hate you to pretend that you care
I hate you for making me cry
I hate you, ‘coz I’m being codependent on you
I hate you for treating me like a robot
I hate you ‘coz you’re so selfish
I hate you for promises that you love me forever
I hate you ‘coz you leave me, just like that
I hate you ‘coz you cheat on me
I hate you for keep me waiting
I hate you ‘coz you get marriage while I’m still hang on
I hate you for leaving me alone
In addition, I hate my self for loving you
I hate my self ‘coz until now I still love you
I hate my self ‘coz until now I care about you
I hate my self ‘coz until now
I still hoping that you come back to me.

Let Me Ride
Hand me down my golden crown and let me ride
Dont deny the highway in my soul
Jump and sing that silver thing that I feel inside
Hallelujah let that big wheel roll
Its time to give me just a little bit of old time glory
Im talking bout the coming of the sunshine story
Set this poor soul free
Let it be
Break these bonds that hold my soul and Im on my way
I cant help feeling theres no time to lose
I done made my mind up yesterday that I just cant stay
So hand me down my highway shoes
Its time to give me just a little bit of old time glory
Im talking bout the coming of the sunshine story
Set this poor soul free
Let it be
