The Gurusikh
THE GURUSIKH-
BELIEVES IN THE ONENESS OF GOD.
IS VOID OF FEAR.
IS ABOVE ENIMITY.
IS ALWAYS OPTIMISTIC.
RESIGNS HIMSELF TO THE WILL OF GOD.
UPHOLDS SPIRITUALISM.
RISES ABOVE CASTE AND CREED,
IS INVARIABLY HIGH-SPIRITED.
EARNS HIS LIVING HONESTLY.
HAS PASSIONATE DETACHMENT.
IS PROGRESSIVE.
EMBRACES DEATH GRACEFULLY.
IS COMMITTED TO WHAT HE SAYS
SHIES AWAY FROM DISCRIMINATION.
IS KNOWN FOR HOSPITALITY.
CONFORMS TO DASWAND PRATHA.
STANDS FOR 'MIRI' AND'PIRI'.
PRAYS FOR THE WELL-BEING OF ALL
IS SAINTLY.
'SERVICE IS HIS WHOLE WAY OF LIFE'.

Warming Brew!
Running in circles screaming and laughing, touching and reeling, escaping!
A burst of excitement, adrenalin courses through our veins heightening
Our excitement!
Our breath rises in vapour like a steam engine of old or a boiling kettle ready for a warming brew.
Life is a playground full of wonder, ready to be explored, friends loyal and true
Like musketeers on a quest!
These where such halcyon days, care free, untroubled from life’s pressures and demands.
worry was not an option!
Our youth, passionate, fresh, our minds racing and new, the world was seen so clearly!
If only we could see life through a Childs eyes in older age?
No colour, no race, no creed, no sex, no discrimination just oneness!
Perhaps this world would be a much better place?

Voice Of A Dalit Women
now hear the unheard cries
of dalit women plight
upper caste takes pride
humanity here despise
seeing the cruelty dies
of high caste females crucify
mercilessly their own gender
in the name of caste blunder
mutely supporting the plunder
of dalit women, who wonder
the silence of own gender
on the sight of feminity
in the board day light
paraded naked in their own vicinity
raped, ravished and trampled
no doubt upper caste feminity
is skin deep only
else they would have fought
for their feminine right
to live life free of fright
alas! they are caste blind
to see their mutual bind
feminists too are not so kind
to raise voice against the crime
however will burn candles
and raise issue nation wide
on death of upper caste women
died enjoying night party
such feminists who glee
in distributing pink panty
for women’s right to party
awfully ignores humiliating death
suffered by dalit women daily
story of dalit women is grim
suffers discrimination all time
as a female and a lower caste being
though struggling through adversities
if succeed to come out of the rim
aristocrat high caste vultures deem
her hopes nothing but dream
ever preying on her virtuosity
that dominates their caste superiority
arising dalit women suffers subtly
high caste people discriminating policy
based on caste as well gender inferiority
where majority prays and swears by female deity
but treat dalit women mere commodity
nation egotist in its democracy
fails to notice caste discrepancy
dalit women should now be their own saviors
pursue the legacy of Savitribai Phule and Dr. Ambedkar
be educated, be united and agitate

Of Trees
trees know no religion
caste or creed they know not
birds, bees and humans
do they shelter and nurture
with no expectation or reward
they extend their heart
discrimination not in their blood
to live as a tree and nothing else
isn't that real art of living?

way Of Life
Now spiritualism is a big part of my life
It doesn't come to us all so how lucky am I
I'm honerd and humble to be chosen for this
I don't take it for granted just as a gift
Now I try to meditate every day
To connect with the spirits high above me
I'm never alone there always near by
When ever I need them I don't need to try
The way I see life is different you see
As the spirit lives on in you and in me
Not everybody believes in the things I do
We all have free will and that includes you
The people I help and the people I meet
From all walks of life some poor and some rich
The feeling you get with emotions so high
Reunited with loved ones from days gone by
Just remember this life-force inside you and me
Has been here before, for eternity
You travel your journey on this path that is set
And if you don't complete it you'll travel it again
So remember this poem when living your life
Be kind to each other, give love and give light
Because living your life should be exciting you see
And living it twice would be a wast to me

Death Cry Be Heard
let the death cry be heard,
of those dalit murdered,
and seek emancipation,
against the discrimination,
ask not for justice,
if that only leads to injustice,
for they don’t even try,
to address your cry,
life yours made deplorable,
resolve to make it admirable,
life is worth living,
a single day as king,
rather like decades corpse sting,
fight for the dalit plight,
till they reckon your might,
forgo your false notion,
those who supports discrimination,
are people who runs the nation,
were intellectuals brief daily,
about falling economy,
and neglect human ignominy,
suffered by million dalits daily,
no justice ever deserve,
cry of women raped reserve,
and her family killed to serve,
fanatic high caste nerve,
is there an end to this season,
of hate towards dalit for no reason,
if its caste that only matter,
the nation then will definitely shatter,
fools may sing unity in diversity,
wise will see signs of adversity,
nation heading toward calamity.

A Pyramid
A Pyramid
Who ever gives a penny
To an idler
Idlling with fancy
High up in a pyramid
Socketing
One eye above
The other.
Crawing worms
Choose
But
Penny -hunting
Or noose-bunting.

Absolute Freedom
Freedom from within
Freedom to think beyond universe
Freedom from living up to other ideas or expectations
Freedom to stand against all odds
Freedom from gods will
Freedom from triumph and disaster
Freedom from democracy and aristocracy
Freedom from scams and scandals
Freedom from caste, creed and color
Freedom from meaning less dogma
Freedom from fear and hatred
Freedom from life and death

Caste is Hindus’ root
The high caste beggar is proud of his caste.
The low caste doctor is conscious of his caste.
No amount of education and wealth
Could eradicate the caste consciousness.

The Body And Memory
THE BODY AND MEMORY
The body and memory
The fame and absence
Have in them
Traces of death
Catch you
God knows where?
Writing is an intoxicant
That lulls us to sleep
We wield it to wield the other
We do not know
We are wielded by.

See The Sky Again
Whispered from my heart and soul to my unwilling eyes
Lift my vision from the ground lift it to the sky
Skies they used to be so ugly rain that stings my face
Opens up their glory just earth and sky and space
And your passionate embraces absolve me of my sin
Your life lifts me up so I can see
See the sky again
And Ive lived through all the flash-fire set off like lightening spark
Yes they burn so brightly and oh they burn so hot
And these fantasies of all our love tearing at the ground
Wrapped up in the vortex of sweat and sex and sound
And your passionate embraces absolve me of my sin
Your life lifts me up so I can see, see the sky again
Hide me
From the love Im too scared to send
Hide me
til I see the sky again
And your passionate embraces absolve me of my sin
Your life lifts me up so I can see
See the sky again

The Warrior's Fear
The warrior waits, with fear.
Fear of never returning
Fear of losing all he has.
Fear for his family, without him.
Fear of letting them down.
Fear of letting his captain down.
Fear of letting his friends down.
The warrior kneels to the ground.
He prays, prays for a long time.
The warrior stands up.
He feels no longer fear, but security.
The warrior charges into battle,
Determined.
Ready.
No longer fearful.
Never to return.
The Dog Cries
THE DOG CRIES
The dog cries horarse
Apply some glycerine
Okay
It will lick
Your feet
But bite your leg.
Adog is a dog.

A Lark
A Lark
Better have a crow
To caw
Every now and then
Than a lark
With a sweet melody
A well-writ couplet
May do you harm
But handbilling
Has its own charm.

Lost, lost, lost
Lost, lost, lost
Lost, lost, lost
Men, women and children
No matter what their age
Or what the phase
Of life
Through which they are passing
They are traceable
One never knows
The fact is known
They are lost.

O My Fish
O MY FISH
O my fish
Fishermen have
Fished you
Lying in a basket
Senselessly senseless
In dark oblivious
Nay anaesthetised
You lie dead
With nobody to entomb you.

Make Not A Fun....
MAKE NOT A FUN.......
Make not a fun of love
It will vanish
Leaving you decried
Wobbling
Upon a stick
Like a beggar
In wait of
A fat purse
Rendered penniless
Looking for a penny.

In My Childhood
IN MY CHILDHOOD
In my childhood
I trapped rats
And let them off
Now rats have set
Traps for me
Some at every step
The traps of mind
For the mind
They have made my life
A life-long prison
Without any hope
Of release
In this birth
Or the next

America believes in education: the average professor earns more money in a year than a professional athlete earns in a whole week.
