The Mountain And Us
the double cab climbs the road
for hours
our purpose is only to
see the highest
mountain in Asia
when we arrive there
it is cold
but the sun is shining brightly
the panoramic view
is clear and
accurate to the eyes
it is Li Po
drunk who is
imagining things
the mountain is not staring
at me
it is me that stares at it
i am not speechless
it is the mountain
that is speechless since
it cannot really speak
naturally
this is not an issue
anymore
it cannot be something
debatable
and then i am taking pride
talking to myself
giving my hand a handshake:
I am sane and i am not imagining things
i am seeing this mountain as it is
treating it as
it has to be
inanimate, still,
lifeless and
stuck upon its
foot
it has no feelings
and i've read
that there were times
when it was cruel
(the tour guide keeps
on talking)
taking lives of men
who want to give the impression
that they can
conquer it
when it cannot be
when it is not
and does not
know
what war is all about
in truth
all these conflicts are
simplistically speaking
man-made
and self-inflicted

Mountain Woman
They lived together in a dirty old shack
At the edge of the black rocky mountain
And they drank mountain dew and they lived on the food
That they grew at the side of the mountain
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
They [? ] down the valley
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
Uneducated but theyre happy
Mountain woman couldnt read nor write
But she knew good from evil, she know wrong from right
When the government tried to buy her water rights
Her intuition was her only guide
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
They [? ] by the valley
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
Uneducated but theyre happy
Spend my life with my mountain woman
Were uneducated by were happy
The civil servant used compulsory purchase
To acquire the [? ] for the nation
Theyll dig up the land, theyre gonna make a dam
And build a hydroelectric power station
And now she lives on the 33rd floor
Of a man-made concrete mountain
She got an elevator and refrigerator
And an automobile to run around in
Fast talkin lawyers from the government
Went and beat proud mountain woman down
Hey mountain woman, take your mountain man
They took your land and flood your valley
Spend my life with my mountain woman
Theyre uneducated by theyre happy

Mountain Of Hope
He had climbed the highest mountain this
World had ever known.
He had climbed the highest mountain
On maps it can’t be shown.
It was a mountain of tears, suffering and pain
And no ones life would ever be the same.
Then a second mountain was built
And it was higher than the first.
This mountain was built with the
strongest material known to man.
HOPE! In our hearts and our minds it will stand.
Each time hope is fed, there lies another bed.
And as each bed is filled
The mountain gets higher still.
But it was he who climbed the mountain
Of tears, suffering and pain.
And because of it he took away the shame.
And this mountain came to be.
because CHRIST Made a sacrifice
for you and for me.
And if we was able to put HOPE
Into a color scheme
It would be the most beautiful
Rainbow that you’ve ever seen.
So every time you see a rainbow
Without a beginning and without a end
It’s because hope is building up
And that’s a guarantee my friend.

Silhouette of my soul
The dark mountain behind me looks so different
For every time I look it’s changed
My soul has the same identity
For when I think I have finally got it under control
The silhouette changes
The mountain starts it day dark with a siloute that defines it
My soul is always in dark
The mountain gets more defined as sun comes up
My soul is always dark
The mountain end up dark again
The silhouette changes
My soul starts it day
Always hung-over from last days confusing silhouettes
so I begin clawing my way out of the deep hole
Even in sleep my soul is confusing
I dream about things that always seem in the dark
Then one of my silhouettes comes up and shines all the darkness away
Bring a smile to day that started with a mountain of undefined silhouettes
I can hold this in place as long as I need it, because I do…always
So when the darkness approaches to make the mountain undefined
It silhouette lost again my silhouette of counterfeit dies a death everyday
In comes the dark
Drunk again with so many silhouettes of my soul that want to be
I fall down under my mountain of darkness in a silhouette
My soul surrounded by light, but the face of my soul in the dark
Hidden the truth of what all these moments mean
So I pass out drunk on confusion for the next day will be the same
The silhouette of my soul
King Of The Mountain
Come on
Im gonna climb the mountain
Im gonna hit the top
I wanna go where nobodys ever been
Im never gonna stop
Im gonna reign, Im gonna shine
Im gonna beat the ground
Im gonna shoot through the night like a shot gun
Im gonna get on down, I wanna get on down
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Listen, dont try to save my soul from destruction
Im never gonna fall
Dont try to give me a piece of the action
Im gonna take it all
All the kings horses, all the kings men
Were gettin crazy again and again
Make up your mind, its time we get goin
Were gonna get on down, were gonna get on down
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Yeah, now
Oh, yeah, king of the mountain
Say it, king of the mountain
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain, yeah
Im the king of the mountain
And the winner takes it all, lets go, lets go, lets go

I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand. Henceforth will I apply ALL my efforts to become the highest mountain of all and I will strain my potential until it cries for mercy.

Any road followed precisely to its end leads precisely nowhere. Climb the mountain just a little bit to test it's a mountain. From the top of the mountain, you cannot see the mountain.

~I Choose the Mountain~
The low lands call
I am tempted to answer
They are offering me a free dwelling
Without having to conquer
The massive mountain makes its move
Beckoning me to ascend
A much more difficult path
To get up the slippery bend
I cannot choose both
I have a choice to make
I must be wise
This will determine my fate
I choose, I choose the mountain
With all its stress and strain
Because only by climbing
Can I rise above the plane
I choose the mountain
And I will never stop climbing
I choose the mountain
And I shall forever be ascending
I choose the mountain

I Am The One For You
Hoo
Hoo
I am the one for you.
The possibilities are endless
The number of things that you could do to me
Baby you can drive me senseless
Make me what you want me to be.
Cos' you take me to the (take me) highest mountain (take me)
Take me to (take me) the deep blue sea (take me)
You can't get enough of my kind of love
You're really doing something to me.
I am the one for you
Nothing that you or anybody else can do
Hoo
I am the one for you
Am i getting through getting through to you?
My mind's been working overtime
Thinking of ways i'm gonna get to you
Rain or shine you'll be mine
And you know it'll be soon
Cos' i'll give you (give you) love that (lovin') you never dreamed of
I'll give you (give you) that and even more(lovin')
Face up to the fact
It's time to react
You'll be giving like you never before.
I am the one for you
Nothing that you or anybody else can do
Hoo
I am the one for you
Am i getting through getting through to you?
Hoo

Distant Flower
I give long witness to your eyes
Looking for silence.
Where is your child underneath
The mountain- There could be so many
Ways.
I will save her, because I know what
You’re thinking,
And the bus is turning around
Having forgotten so many things.
Maybe she is in the sky, the sky beneath the
Mountain,
Your child, your daughter of so many things.
Words are spit on the window of heady
Vagrancy,
But your eyes are really wonderful,
They go so far away; they see so many things.
The night is a cryptic flower turning in its
Jewelry case,
And you forgot to know who I am in any case.
And your daughter is so far away,
But I will save her. I’ll read her the words you
Couldn’t say in any case,
When the song is over, when life and breath are
Over,
I will return her to you under the mountain
The night whispering,
Your daughter safely to your arms,
With your eyes so far away.

Go, Tell It On The Mountain
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
When I was just a learner
I sought by night and day
To have the good lord help me
To guide me on my way
For I am like a shepherd
My hopes and faith to guard
Each day I find the answer
And love is my reward
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
The shepherds kept their watching
Oer silent flocks by night
When lo! throughout the heavens
There shone a holy light
The shepherds feared and trembled
When high above the earth
Rang out an angels chorus
To hail our saviors birth
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
Our jesus, jesus christ is born
That jesus christ is born
Go and tell, tell it on the mountain
That jesus christ, christ is born

If Thats What You Need
Talking makes us human thats what I was told
So why do I find it so difficult to let my feelings unfold
Had I the courage to tell you Id promise you this
If thats what you need
Ill be the river Ill be the mountain always beside you
If thats what you need
I will be stronger I will be braver than ever before
When you came along and turned it all around
I promised myself I wouldnt tell you
Until we stood on solid ground
Holding the candle between us Ill tell you this
If thats what you need
Ill be the river Ill be the mountain always beside you
If thats what you need
I will be stronger I will be braver than ever before
And if theres any kind of danger
I hear you calling out my name
You can follow in my footsteps
And I will lead you safely back again
I never understood you however hard I tried
But it took me a while until I realised
That all the problems were mine
Holding you nearer to me to tell you this
If thats what you need
Ill be the river Ill be the mountain always beside you
If thats what you need
I will be stronger I will be braver than ever before
And when things go wrong
Ill be your conscience there to remind you all of your life
When you go wrong
Ill be the reason youll be protected all of your days

Take The Water To The Mountain
Take the water to the mountain;
Take the river to the sea.
Let the forest be salvation
Long before it needs to be.
Take the water to the mountain;
Let your body flow upstream.
Let it cascade off your shoulders;
Be the body of your dreams.
Take the water to the mountain;
Let the sun shine on your ground.
You decide your every movement;
Let the water to the land.
Take the water to the mountain;
Cross the great divide of love.
Give to nature all you can give;
Let the mother know your heart.
Take the water to the mountain;
Lets become alive again.
Holy water, holy mountain,
Holy river, holy tree.

I'll Be Taking America
I'll be taking America from the inside
And giving her of my complete love
Where clouds from the high sky glide
And drift with my heart songs above
I'll be sowing my love at her freedom’s feet
To find out if she likes me or not
And if she will come on to me and read
In what in words and music I've got
I'll be taking my America on to my home
With every soul that wants to conquer me
To bring me to their alter and dome
To set every word and my tones free
For my existences is for everyone's love
In a dream that never shall settle low
Fore I'll rise like the highest cloud above
In tomorrow's summer for the new glow
I will be taking my songs to her mountain
And filling my words with her hope
Reaching rivers of truth deepest fountain
By holding on to every liberties robe
I shall never be disputed to the deep
Of the anguish that has lost all fate
For America are my songs and words to keep
In each my thought and ongoing debate

Black Mountain Blues
Old black mountain
Tried to spit in your face
Old black mountain
Tried to spit in your face
Babys grubbing whiskey
Oh shes practising ? ? ?
Old black mountain
Mean as they can be
Old black mountain
Mean as they can be
They use ground butter
Just to sweeten the tea
Had a girl in black mountain
Sweetest girl in town
Had a girl in black mountain
Sweetest girl in town
But she met a sweet black man
Then she threw me down
Well, old black mountain
Cant keep man in jail
Well, old black mountain
Cant keep man in jail
Sure to call him guilty
Judge will cry and bail
Im bound for black mountain
Me and my razor and my gun
Im bound for black mountain
Me and my razor and my gun
Gonna cut her if she stands there
And shoot her if she runs

At The Top Of The Mountain
at the top of the mountain
where all of you are heading
nights and days trekking
rain or shine on half breaths coping
as i go down taking the usual trail
i am sad
seeing excited faces imagining
the beauty of the top
the feeling of that grip of power
i have something to tell them
but i know belief is rare
the faith is stronger to find something bigger
than our small existences like motes
in our eyes
up there
there is nothing, there is nothing
but the wind and the fog.

Meet Me On The Mountain
I remember it well, that day last spring,
When the snow lay deep on the mountain trails.
It was winters last showin and our last fling
Before returning to our lives in the valley.
We pretended we were lost in the wilderness,
And I pretended to be your guide.
Our love was a play and you were the actress.
We were two lonely people living out a dream.
Oh, baby meet me on the mountain
When the winter is dying
And the snow lay deep on the mountain trails.
Maybe its the spring putting thoughts in our heads.
But baby meet me on the mountain
When the winter lays her head to rest.
As the morning came, the feelings faded.
They melted away with the dew.
And if it hurt, I never felt it,
cause I knew that youd be leavin me soon.
Come on, baby meet me on the mountain
When the winter is dying
And the snow lay deep on the mountain trails.
Maybe its the spring putting thoughts in our heads.
But baby meet me on the mountain
When the winter lays her head to rest.

My Blue Ridge Mountain Boy
From a shack by a mountain stream
To a room in new orleans
So far from my blue ridge mountain home
The men I meet aint warm and friendly
Like the one in old virginie
Oh they aint real like my blue ridge mountain boy
I was just a little past eighteen
When I came to new orleans
Id never been beyond my home state line
There was a boy who loved me dearly
But I broke his heart severely
When I left my blue ridge mountain boy
Life was dull in my hometown
Lights were out when the sun went down
And I thought that city life was more my style
But nights get lonely away from home
And its easy to go wrong
The men aint kind like my blue ridge mountain boy
New orleans held things in store
Things Id never bargained for
And every night a different man knocks on my door
But late at night when all is still
I can hear a whippoorwill
As I cry for my blue ridge mountain boy
Oh but I can never go back home
Since the boy I love is gone
He grew tired of waiting for me to return
They say he married last october
But I never will get over
Oh the sweet love of my blue ridge mountain boy
Blue ridge mountain boy

Man On The Silver Mountain
I'm a wheel, I'm a wheel
I can roll, I can feel
And you can't stop me turning
Cause I'm the sun, I'm the sun
I can move, I can run
But you'll never stop me burning
Come down with fire
Lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again
I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the day, I'm the day
I can show you the way
And look, I'm right beside you
I'm the night, I'm the night
I'm the dark and the light
With eyes that see inside you
Come down with fire
Lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again
I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain
Come down with fire
And lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again
Well, I can help you, you know I can
I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain
Just look at me and listen
I'm the man, the man, give you my hand
I'm the man on the silver mountain
Come down with fire
And lift your spirit higher
I'm the man on the mountain
The man on the silver mountain
I'm the night, the light
The black and the white
The man on the silver mountain
