Darkness Of...

Darkness is not the darkness of night
it is the darkness of mind and soul.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of discrimination between poor and rich.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of dishonesty.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of aggravate.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is darkness of corruption.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of indiscipline.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of animosity.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of inveterate.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of perjury.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness that we all brought up inside us,
so, light the lamp of light inside you...

Holding The Lamp

anxious face
the lines are bold
like some veins
about to burst
like a bomb timed
at ten tonight

the flash light
roams around the
darkness
a roomful of darkness
wanting to point
out the truth

the truth is in my heart
in the darkness of
my heart
your flashlight gets
nothing
the view is holographic
mirages and shadows
ghosts and
souls

you are a failure again
i turn off the light
now see me again
in this darkness
this is my truth
this is my life
this is the only light i have
the dark room
a roomful of blackness
inside my heart
inside my soul.

Poems get to the point where they are stronger than you are. They come up from some other depth and they find a place on the page. You can never find that depth again, that same kind of authority and voice. I might feel I would like to change something about them, but they’re still stronger than I am and I cannot.

Out Of My Depth

Out of my depth
Lost in the air
Falling faster
Like a broken elevator
Out of my depth
Lost in the dark
Waiting for the other shoe
To come down hard
I cannot communicate
Like I wish I could
I do not deal with my problems
Like I know I should
I am out of my depth
I am out of my league
Watching everything...just
Slip away from me
Something bad is
going to happen
I can feel it deep inside
There are shadows
all around me
Like a bad moon on the rise
I am in over my head
I am in too deep here
over my head
I guess I should keep my
opinions to myself
I guess I am out of my depth
Out of my depth
Right from the start
I feel like I was born
With an invisible heart
Out of my depth
Seems like everyday
I can't find the words
To make the good things
Come my way
I feel like I am faking it
I feel like I am wrong
I feel like I'm a guest
...like I just do not belong
I am out of my depth
Every single day
I just cannot find the words
To make my monsters go away
Something bad is
going to happen
I can feel it deep inside
There are shadows
all around me
Like a bad moon on the rise
I am in too deep here
over my head
I should seek
some professional help
Because I'm out of my depth
Yes, I'm out of my depth
And I am slowly going
out of my mind
Oh, go away
Make them go away
Someday I know
I will make them go away
Make them go away
Make them go away
Someday I know...I will make
my monsters go away
I am in over my head
I should seek
some professional help
I should keep my
opinions to myself
I guess I am out of my depth
I am out of my depth
Yes, I am slowly going
out of my mind

Point Of Light

Theres a point when you cannot walk away
Theres a darkness that everyone must face
There are heroes whose names we never hear
When you have to stand up
Straight and tall an mean the words you say
It wants to take whats good and fair and lay it all to waste
A dedicated army of quiet volun-teers
Theres a point you must decide just to do it cause its right
And that darkness covers everything in sight
Reaching out to feed the hungry reaching out to save the land
Thats when you be-come a point of light
Until it meets a single point of light
Reaching out to their fellow men.
All it takes is a point of light a ray of hope in the dar-kest night.
If you see whats wrong and you try to make it right
You will be a point of light.
There are dreamers who are making dreams come true
Taking time to teach the children theres nothing they cant do.
Giving shelter to the homeless giving hope to those without.
Isnt that what this lands all about.
One by one form the mountains to the sea points of light
Are calling out to you and me
All it takes is a point of light a ray of hope in the dar-kest night.
If you see whats wrong and you try to make it right
You will be a point of light.

From the Depth of Eternal

From the Depth of Eternal
By: Adam M. Snow

From the depth of eternal
where I dare lay;
I long for that which darkness covers.
I search myself, night and day;
and I but a ghost who hovers.

At Midnoon...

now what you hear is only the sound of the rain outside

there is no lamppost, it has been taken away just this morning,
understandably there is no need for light
there is no feeling that
in the brightness of a new day
darkness can have digits

but i heard of a man who carried his flashlight
at noon
declaring that this city is as dark as the deepest floor of the ocean
where the gods
of rage have been hiding

and he warns that the rage continues
that we honestly still feel this matter inside the guts
of these modern days

that sometime the ocean will bring its own darkness
with the storms at mid-noon

and we who take pride of the light and the
grasses of the earth
will have something to write

perhaps not really that gentle and calm
and perhaps we are too clumsy for this

The Light Of The Night

Who says is the night dark?
En the night we have all the light
We see everything en our life
With our heart
And our soul
En the day, we count
The seconds
The minutes
The hours......
Waiting the night
Waiting to came back
To ourselves
To our heart
To our soul

Who says the night is dark?
En the night we see
The universe
The light of the universe
The life of the universe
En our sky
We feel we are one party of this universe unlimited
We feel we are a party of the unlimited
We feel unlimited....

Who says the night is dark?
En the night
We take trip en the world of the silence
We listen the nice music of the silence
A silence talking

Who says the night is dark?

En the night
We go inside the hearts
We go en the depth of the hearts
We take a long way en depth of the hearts
A long an illuminated way
We see every thing inside the hearts

Who says the night is dark?
Who says the night is dark?

How Did You Get Here?

The good news?
We are not that close to the bottom,
As expected.
The bad news?
We are not that close to the bottom,
As expected.

'So...
Where are we?
And why is that both good and bad news? '

Not knowing where you are can be motivating.
Forgetting who you are and how you got there,
Is total darkness.
That's where ignorance will leave you,
In total darkness!

'So...
What does that have to do with anything? '

Turn off your flashlight!

'I will be in darkness.'

How did you get here?

'I followed you! '

And you believed I knew what I was doing?
With loss of light and without eye contact?

Natural Light

There is nothing wrong in seeing life,
From your perspective and point of view.
That has never been a question I presented to you.
I just have questions why you should have a need,
To constantly borrow my flashlight.
By now your decision to live in darkness,
Seems to be something you are not familiar with.
Or one you are trying to pretend,
Makes more sense than the one I have chosen.
The one I am comfortable in.

And I am to be convinced...
Your way of life is right and envied?
And for you makes tremendous sense?
And you tell me I'm the one in need of therapy?

If I am going to have shadows around me...
The sun is going to be above.
Natural light.
Nothing I need to borrow.
Or discuss its value...
As I stumble around to find my way.
I've done that.
Charading then in masquerade.
No one could tell me I was not fabulous.
A breath of fresh air.
But the staleness of my routine helped me to awaken.
You still have not arrived.
And that's okay.
Either you will...
Or you will kill yourself!

In the greatest darkness

I look at the sky
and in the greatest darkness
see the brightest stars appear.

In life at the time of calamity
its greatest heroes rise
to point without uncertainty
the true way to go.

At times of persecution
more people turn to God,
than times was everything
goes well.

In times of destruction
and where people are travailed,
something in the human spirit
rise above inhumanity.

In the depth of night
the sweetest words are written
and from the cold dark earth
seeds come to life.

Fish

The cop holds me up like a fish;
he feels the huge bones
surrounding my eyes,
and he runs a thumb under them,

lifting my eyelids
as if they were
envelopes filled with the night.
Now he turns

my head back and forth, gently,
until I'm so tame and still
I could be a tiny, plastic
skull left on the

dashboard of a junked car.
By now he's so sure of me
he chews gum,
and drops his flashlight to his side;

he could be cleaning a trout
while the pines rise into the darkness,
though tonight trout
are freezing into bits of stars

under the ice. When he lets me go
I feel numb. I feel like
a fish burned by his touch, and turn
and slip into the cold

night rippling with neons,
and the razor blades
of the poor,
and the torn mouths on posters.

Once, I thought even through this
I could go quietly as a star turning over and over
in the deep truce of its light.

Now, I must
go on repeating the last, filthy
words on the lips
of this shunken head

shining out of its death in the moon—
until trout surface
with their petrified, round eyes,
and the stars begin moving.

Blackout (Fun Poem 129)

You go to change a light bulb,
suddenly there is a blue flash,
and you are plunged into darkness.
The time is 11 o’clock at night,
the curtains are pulled,
and there is not a glimmer of light.
You fumble around in the darkness
knocking ornaments off the shelf,
tripping over your pets
as they snooze on the floor
while you search franticly
for a light of any sort.
You find a candle and lit it,
then give a deep sigh,
which blow the candle out,
but not before, you’ve found
a flashlight with no batteries,
which sound about right
when you’re in a blackout.
Finally, you get a light
and go to the fuse box
only to find no fuse wire
there or anywhere.
You are stuck in a panic
of what to do,
then I did what anyone would do
go to bed and sort it out
when the morning appeared,
and that is just what I did.

So Good So Right

This one is special for all the ladies
You never know I was that type of man
So good so right so good so, so good so
right so good so
So good so right so good so, so good so
right so good so
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
But you keep on watching the time,
Wondering what's on my mind
So you say you can't stay too long, cause
You know what I'm all a...
What I'm all about, what I'm all about
I don't have to sing and shout, what I'm
All about
You know what I'm all about
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Yes it's the truth it's the fact, I'm coming
To you straight from
The back in a mastering room style
Don't be shy, don't you lie, look into my
Eye
I'll tell you why, I'll teach you about
Feeling high
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Never before have you seen this, so I say
This feeling sink within my head, oh yea,
Oh yea
Never before have you believe it, so I mean
What I say
You just got to be yourself
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Yea, feel so good about something so
Right could it last another night
A feel so good about something so right
A feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
So good so right so good so, so good so
Right so good so
So good so right so good s, so good so
Right so good so
Yes it is the strife of my life, to explain
What's in my brain
If you believe what I say, baby, baby
A check in, check in, check check, check in
Check in
Check in, check in, check in, a check in,
Check in, check into my hotel
A feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
A feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
So good, so right, so good, so right, so
Good, so right
So right, I feel so good could it last
Another night
A feel so right could it last another
Night
A feel so good something so right, so
Good
Lord, I said I feel so right
A feel so good, oh could it last another
Night
A feel so right, oh could it last another
Night
A feel so good oh could it last another
Night
A feel so right oh could it last another
Night
So good, o right, so good, so right, so
Good, so good, so right

What Is The Point Of Life

What is the point of life if it is just disappointments?
What is the point of life if we are just going to die?
What is the point of life if we just get divorced?
What is the point of life if we just get in trouble?

What is the point of life if we are just sad?
What is the point of life if we just fight?
What is the point of life if we feel pain?
What is the point of life if we just hurt each other?
I know what the point of life is!
the feelings i have for the one i truly love.

Proper And/Or Acceptible Public Etiquette!

I try to release from my consciousness,
Those painful images fixed...
We all can say we survived,
But still live with.

And the only time I am reminded I have them...
Is when someone says,
I should raise and not lower my head...
To quicker dry those tears I cry!
And to wear a smile on my face instead.
With no clue...
Or point of reference,
From which I feel such depth!
Coming as it does...
When it happens,
Delivered from my point of view.

And I do my best not to express...
That these are 'my' heartfelt agonies.
When upon me,
They choose to come to visit!

And not one moment am I in thought...
With wishes to entertain,
Proper and/or acceptible public etiquette!

Break It To Me Gently

Words and music: paul dean, mike reno
Face to face, I can see that look in your eye
But are you looking at me
Cause you know things arent what they seem to be
Does it matter to you
Or have you played that game before
I can feel you across the room
I wanna know just what it takes
Cause you know that Ive made some mistakes
Ive been down that rood before
Dont want to feel like a wolf when im
Banging on your door
So, break it to me gentiy all night long
Break it to me gently or prove me wrong
Take me to the point of no return, oh yeah
Break it to me gently all night long
All night long
So tell me if Im wrong
But wasnt it you that gave up
Without a fight, last night
So tell me if Im reading you right
Thats when I felt that there was something going on
And now I know what I wanna see
When you walk that way
Do you walk that way for me
Gotta know
Or are you just putting on a show
Cause youre everything I want
And a little bit more
Break it to me gently all night long
Break it to me gently or prove me wrong
Take me to the point of no return, oh yeah
Break it to me gently all night long
So break it baby
Here we go
Oh, oh, oh, oh oh
Oh oh oh, oh oh
Oh, oh oh, oh oh
Oh, oh oh, oh oh
Break it to me gently all night long
Break it to me gently or prove me wrong
Take me to the point of no return, oh yeah
Break it to me gentry all night long
Break it to me gently all night long
Break it to me gently or prove me wrong
Take me to the point of no return, oh yeah
Break it to me gently all night long
All night
