Without Threats To Fear

It would have been great,
If hiding places...
Were not so easily created,
To establish all over the place.

Today people can peek from behind them,
And feel perfectly safe without threats to fear...
That anyone will come to chase them away.
Since to lie to oneself is part of the atmosphere.

Live In A Hiding Place

There are times that I should try,
To be so much more alive
But if time was right then I would be with you again
Or do you worry that I try to avoid the point
And then deny
The time I spent deciding it was you again
It's when I live in a hiding place
It's the only way I feel safe
When I'm safe in a hiding place
(That's not hidden now)
I'm safe in a hiding place
It's the only way I feel safe
When I'm safe in a hiding place
And you're full of facts
But not things that could add up to words
Think about meaning more as an after word
As in afterward
I return but don't remain,
I'm impatient for a reason
To complain about winter,
Making me see through again
Or is it your damaged reply,
That makes me realize that
The more I try
The less that plans will help me comprehend again
So I live in a hiding place
It's the only way I feel safe
When I'm safe in a hiding place
(That's not hidden now)
I'm safe in a hiding place
It's the only way I feel safe
When I live in a hiding place
And you're full of facts
But not things that could add up to words
You think about meaning more as an after word
And you're full of facts
But not things that could add up to words
You think about meaning more as an after word
As in afterward

Stampede

It is happening today!
Those deceivers, cheaters,
And thieves...
Are being chased away,
From their hiding places.

This is not a perception.
This is seen to be believed!

It is happening today,
As gossip told on ears received...
Many are being forced,
To reveal...
Truths unspoken to release and free.

Devastating fiction,
Created to distort facts.
Has produced a host of conflicts.
And those conflicts have returned,
Disturbing paybacks.

It is happening today!
Those deceivers, cheaters,
And thieves...
Are being chased away,
From their hiding places.

One must step quickly,
To clear a path for those who run.
A stampede increases...
As these people are clearly in fear.
They are frightened and appear...
Afraid of what is to come!

My Safe Place

Drawings of seventy three people,
A map of the place where they all live,
I am amongst these people, and
I can hear them in conversation,
Although nobody who lives outside of this room can-
I have given this place a name- a self-fabricated name-
I have found happiness here
Within this world I call my own.
This is my safe place-
This place where skies are touched with clouds of pink and gray,
This place where all is quiet, except for the rushing sound
Of the clear water in the creek that runs through.
Here in this place where nobody cares
What time of day people go to sleep or what hour that they awaken-
This is the place where nobody ever gets angry or slights one another-
Here where we dance when it rains and
Where we laugh when the sun is shining over that creek,
But the sun never burns us.
I have locked the silver gate that exits to the world outside,
So that untrustworthy and belligerent people cannot enter-
This is what I have called my safe place, although
Some say it is dangerous in some sort of way.
Some say that it is dangerous to deny what is real, and
To live in a self formulated world,
Ignoring the lives of three billion people,
Feeling no empathy for those in pain and those fighting in wars out there-
While listening to voices that only I can hear or those I care to hear.
I feel that that world has not been kind to me and
There is so much out there that I fear and it is with great irony
That people are so fearful of my own unfamiliarity- although
To me people who live in this great earth outside of my safe place
Are just as foreign to me as I am to them- I must say that
If I were to continuously wear the key to that silver gate about my neck-
Keeping myself safe here amongst my made up community, I can
Live in my world and others live in theirs and we won't have to fear one another- as
Unfamiliarity is synonymous with danger to so many people.
The sun shall shine upon both places and everyone shall be safe, and
Nobody- not myself, my own special friends or
Those living in the world outside of here
Shall ever get burned…

Old Gold Diggin' Geezer

Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.

You just wanna ride in my car.
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
And take you to places to feed your greedness.
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.

You just wanna have an easy life.
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
And you think I'm the one gon' give it!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.

You ain't got a mortgage or a lease on me.
None that we've agreed upon.
And none that you can see.
You ain't got a ring or a title to keep me leashed up tight.
And what you think I've got,
You're not gonna get that close to take a bite!
With or without your teeth behind your 'grill'...
You old gold diggin' geezer!

Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.

You just wanna ride in my car.
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
And take you to places to feed your greedness.
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
You old gold diggin' geezer!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
You old gold diggin' geezer!
Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!

'I thought you said you were a friend to ALL people?
YOU are a fraud.
You ain't even a friend to some! '

Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!

Run, The Hider Does

Run,
A hider discreetly does.
And in fear!
But from whom?
And why discreetly in secret?

And after what...
Does a runner hiding,
Chase away?
An out paced shadow?
Or the light upon oneself which is cast.

No Hiding Place

Every time Ive run away from you
You searched me out and found me
I build a wall, surround myself
Youve found a way around it
Everywhere I go into this big old world
Youre just one step behind me
I turn around and there you are, ready to remind me
Woah, baby, let me, let me go
Honey dont you know
There is no hiding place, nowhere to go, nowhere safe
There is no hiding place
There is no where sale, to disappear without a trace
There is no hiding place
I walked the streets, I drank in bars
Tryin to forget you
I rode the subway end to end
I wish Id never met you
Its in your smile, the way you dress
A little on the wild side
I cant get away from you babe, no matter how I try
Woah, baby, let me, let me go
Honey dont you know
There is no hiding place, nowhere to go, nowhere safe
There is no hiding place
There is no where sale, to disappear without a trace
There is no hiding place
Woah never let me, let me go
Honey, dont you know

Threats To Keep A People In Grief

How can we seek solutions...
When our denials love to bask,
In a pleasing done by deceit.

How can we non-fictionalize our lives,
When fiction is all we seek.

How can we ever expect to accept the truth,
When none of it is believed.

And how is a greatness once perceived,
So willing to feed decadence...
And allow conflict and division succeed.

All of these may be questions!
But the opportunity to answer them,
Become threats to keep a people in grief.

Threats to keep a people in grief.

'Why no one answers them? '

They're threats to keep a people in grief!

'Why? '

They're threats to keep a people in grief!

Threats to keep a people in grief.
'Why no one answers them? '
They're threats to keep a people in grief!
'Why? '
Threats to keep a people in grief.
'Why no one answers them? '
They're threats to keep a people in grief!
'Why? '

I Wish I Had My Home

What is a home?

Where is home?

When can I go home?

Home is a place where you can feel safe

Home is a place where you can break down in the free

Home is the place where you feel joy happiness and whole

Home is a place where you lay your heart in

I have laid my heart in three different places

(What) My first home is a place everywhere

All I need is a basket and a ball

All I did was give a ball love and I got something better in return

A ball gave me hope, understanding and appreciation for true love

I have never put more hours into one thing than it

It was always my top priority and I was it’s top priority

Better than any girlfriend and any friend

I feel safe, I feel that I can get some sleep and I feel that Im at home

When I need a place to think and collaborate it always had a quite spot with a beautiful view for me

When I need a place to escape to, it welcomes me with open arms and I can stay as long as I like

I have made my imprint in the Cayman Islands and It has left its imprint in me and have left one part of my life in it and

I wish I could go back home.

(When) I miss her so much and I would do anything to see her again

I miss her humbleness, her laugh and her comfort when I need to break down

I miss her when I need her there or when there is a good moment

I miss my home because my home is in her

She is my home but it is a place where I cannot stay

Instead of me leaving my home, my home left me and I forgot something inside

I know she can take care of my home but I hope she takes care of my heart

If it has too I know it will bleed for her and it would become hers

All I want is to know when I can go and see my home where my heart lays

Pieces Now Connecting

So happy am I now to live,
To have a mind free.
And the pieces now connecting,
Did not come to fit...
To snuggle,
Perfectly for me to see.
Or feel deep.

Oh so happy am I to have a mind,
Peacefully freed.
And it didn't come to happen,
Easily accepted...
As I thought a peace of mind,
For me...
Would come to be.

I thought all troubles came to be expected.
And easily for me to accept.
I even thought my head was only made to ache.
And easily I accepted.
I thought my life was meant to fear,
And easily I accepted.
With a living in pain to gain...
To easily accept,
And...
To keep it near.

Oh so happy am I to have a mind,
Peacefully freed.
And it didn't come to happen,
Easily accepted...
As I thought a peace of mind,
Would come to be.
For me.

Yes so happy am I now to live,
To have a mind free.
And the pieces now connecting,
Did not come to fit...
To snuggle,
Perfectly for me to see.
Or feel deep.

But now...
Perfectly for me to see.
And I feel deep,
Is a peace...
Within me as it's meant,
To be.

Oh so happy am I now to live,
What fits for me.
With pieces now connecting,
A peace that fits,
Perfectly intended as was meant,
To be.

Creepin' Up On You

Creepin' up on you is the wrong thing to do
I found your address got your phone number too
Visit all the stores where you buy all your clothes
Been to secret places you think nobody knows

If I have to breathe without you
Nobody should......
I need to be around you
Watchin' you

No one else can love you like I do
Feel it when I'm creepin' up on you
I know that it wouldn't be right
If I stayed all night
Just to peek in on you
Creepin' up on you..

I been hanging round all the places you haunt
Spying on your friends to find out what you want
Drinking from the glass that you left on the bar
Follow you around driving home in your car...

Do I have to breathe without you?
Coz nobody could
I need to be around you
Watching you

No one else can love you like I do
Feel it when I'm creepin' up on you
I know that it wouldn't be right
If I stayed all night
Just to peek in on you
Creepin' up on you..

This must be wrong
It can't go on
This kind of thing
It's taking all my sanity and making a mockery
This must be wrong
It can't go on
So Won't somebody free me from this misery
Bring my baby closer to me

No one else can love you like I do
Feel it when I'm creepin' up on you
I know that it wouldn't be right
If I stayed all night
Just to peek in on you
Creepin'

No one else can love you like I do
Feel it when I'm creepin' up on you

In Old Age The Poems Come More Easily

IN OLD AGE THE POEMS COME MORE EASILY THE POEMS COME MORE EASILY IN OLD AGE

In old age the poems come more easily-

What is there to lose now
By just being oneself?

‘Oneself' is going to be lost
Whatever one does.

What others say and think
Or do not say and think
Means a bit less.

An old tough codger
Stands his ground
And sings his song.

What does it matter
If only the wind listens?

Come Out, Come Out Wherever You Are

As a 'precocious' child,
And extremely curious...
The playing of hide and seek,
Was fun until it wasn't.
Yes...
I use to peek to see,
Where the others would hide first...
Before I found a place impossible,
To be found.
Then I would leave the neighborhood,
To walk around and adventure.

And when I returned,
Those same kids would be hiding.
To be sought.

Today?
Those same 'kids' are hiding,
To be sought.
And there is something about that,
I no longer find amusing.

Come out, come out wherever you are.
Your children have become crazed.

In a More Receptive Mood

If it's going to be about race,
Today.
Let us vow to say...
That race is for the taste of life.
And we keep a pace to make it right.
If it's going to be about race,
Today.

And if it is about race,
Today.
Let's pray to race for harmony and peace.
And show there is a life believed with liberties,
We ourselves achieve.

Chase we must those shadows away.
And those gray clouds created,
To shade the brightest colors to fade.

And if it is about race,
Today.
Our hearts must remain wide open.
To initiate another fate...
That places us in a more receptive mood.

In six days (in answer to Ina Rousseau)

In six day from nothing, only darkness,
He constructed light, solid mass, water and the earth
caused things to come into existence perfectly as if it was everlasting
and his gaze had fallen constantly

on this world,
a place where love was ruling without strive,
a place in the universe
where people were created in His image

and by own choice man himself brought destruction
listening to a obscure being,
letting ruination circle out much wider into posterity
and where hiding from God whispering to each other

and that which was once holy, noble and perfect
had fallen changing to dust and ash.

 People think I'm so confident,
But I'm really more insecure than anyone can realize! !
I don't feel completely comfortable with my body! !
And I get overly emotional! !
I don't fall for someone easily because I'm afraid to trust!
My failures out shine my strengths in my mind! !
I think too much,
I feel things more deeply than most people! !
My legs aren't long and my hair doesn't always fall as it should! !
But I know I'm worth something,
And I have my place,
I have a sparkle in my eyes that even I can't deny,

The Sun Came Out Today

The sun came out today
to chase my blues away.
It didn’t want me to feel glum,
it wanted me to go out and have fun.
It knew how sad I’d been feeling,
so it came out to raise my smile.
It wanted me to feel happy
though the sky was cloudy and grey,
so the sun came out today
to chase my blues away.
I feel much more happier
and my life is lifted with my smile,
because the sun came out today
to chase my blues away.

Someone Made the Decision

Why do people leave,
From places once felt comfortable?
Someone made the decision,
To perceive themselves...
The end result of another's happiness.

And with a growing obnoxiousness,
Believed they could well afford...
Began to ruin the atmosphere.
And those who 'had' enjoyed it once,
Made it clear...
They could easily take away with them,
A peace of mind no one had bought.
Or sought to provide its growth to share.

That's why people leave,
From places once felt comfortable.
And that is why so many grieve,
When they believe what was done to please...
Has eventually left them alone,
To entertain their own sorrows.
