Come Out, Come Out Wherever You Are
As a 'precocious' child,
And extremely curious...
The playing of hide and seek,
Was fun until it wasn't.
Yes...
I use to peek to see,
Where the others would hide first...
Before I found a place impossible,
To be found.
Then I would leave the neighborhood,
To walk around and adventure.
And when I returned,
Those same kids would be hiding.
To be sought.
Today?
Those same 'kids' are hiding,
To be sought.
And there is something about that,
I no longer find amusing.
Come out, come out wherever you are.
Your children have become crazed.

That's all I knew to do.
I didn't want to be the one caught.
I thought my hiding places could not be seen.
With a thinking everything I said,
And where I could be would be believed.

Elaborate Masks
As a child,
I was never one
To have fun playing games,
Of hide and seek!
I wanted to be found.
As quickly as possible.
To explore and adventure.
Not the last one to be discovered,
In hiding.
That was years ago.
However,
Some I know and knew well,
Back then.
Many are still crouched behind places.
Hiding.
Trying to win...
At a game that has been long played out.
And nothing anyone says,
Will remove the elaborate masks they wear!

Birth of the Warrior
Respect. Sought, yet it is not found, so it cannot be given.
Control. Sought, yet it is not found, so it cannot be obtained.
Power. Sought, yet it is not found, so it cannot be obtained.
Love. Sought, yet it is not found, so it cannot be given.
Joy. Sought, yet it is not found, so it cannot be obtained.
Peace. Sought, yet it is not found, so it cannot be obtained.
Sought from the source external.
Robbing another, and in turn robbing the seeker.
Another protects theirs, as the seeker protects his.
In the quest, it is given away to another, with nothing returned,
The seeker loses themselves.
To put another before self, is to find one self.
Yet, the seeker must protect what is theirs.
Though it must be shared, as it is found for this purpose.
It is that, which is shared, that can never be stolen.
It is the gift.
Not to be given, as one who gives, expects it back.
The gift that is given to one, cannot be shared by many.
The gift must be protected.
For those starving from within, will get a taste,
Not realizing that they have their own.
They just have yet to harness it.
The power lies within.
Yet, within lies, it lies.
It is when the seeker respects themselves, they can respect others, and can share respect.
When they can control themselves, others respect will respect them.
They then find their inner empowerment, and now need power from no other.
The battles you endured, you are courageous.
The demons you have battled, you are fearless.
After many defeats, you rose and became victorious.
The seeker is not a victim,
The seeker is a champion.
They have conquered the battle from within.
Many battles lie ahead, they can reflect on the battles past.
Now, the warrior inside is born.

Life Is To Live and Be Exposed to It
No one enjoys playing hide and seek,
Better than those who have stayed hidden...
To perfect the game.
There, wherever in their minds believing...
Their attention is sought.
There, wherever in their minds perceiving...
They can not get caught.
Or be seen...
In a foolish stagnation.
Lacking both growth and appeal.
With a purpose long gone,
That has killed their dreams.
No one enjoys playing hide and seek,
Better than those who have stayed hidden...
To perfect the game.
Protecting themselves in situations.
And stuck permanently to a stubbornness,
Defiantly making unchanged emotional claims.
In confessions of being misunderstood.
To anyone prescribing stabilizing medications.
'You are a doctor aren't you? '
*Yes,
I am a veterinarian, why? *
'My dog has an itch.
And it is unable to stop the scratch.'
Their goal and aim is to win!
But what?
Once a tiredness like this has been shown...
People like this witness themselves giving up.
Life is to live and be exposed to it.
Those who wish to be kept distanced,
Eventually get their wish.
To scratch and itch in private.
And around the clock if so desired.
Those with peace of mind don't hide.
Or participate in games with others...
Who keep their delusions denied!
But suggest that to those who don't grow.
They are the ones expressed comments made,
Such as, 'I told you so.'
Offend.
As if still children.
And many of them appearing to be grown adults,
Are...
Still children.

Gone To Forget To Leave
There are those who may choose to die.
For whatever reason...
Eyes are wanting to feel,
A realness and not a friction to absorb.
When platters of gold filled deceit,
Offer nothing else to be fed....
With a side order of sincerity seen,
Or felt to mention.
'Gone to forget to leave'
And the feasting of this is encouraged.
Until dishonesty is all that one dreads.
With a wish to numb the head,
From the stirrings that occur from truths.
And although the eating of deceit weakens,
On a daily basis when that addiction eats...
A cry goes unheard.
A sickening overwhelms...
And,
A wish to be released from it increases.

An encouraged emotionally abandoned mind...
Feeds until the peace of eternal rest has come,
Of what is wished.
And with a consciousness,
Desperately wanting transistion now a mission...
But never accepted to come from one so...

Some people are afraid to show their true colors
i am not
i don't hide
i have nothing to hide
i am what i am
i am brown, i am a Filipino,
and I am not afraid, I am what i am, i show who and what i am, and i take responsibitity
for what i am
for what i write for what i do for what i say
mountains do not hide, how can they? the seas keep their bodies in the open
their waves blown by the air, for how can they be what they are when they are in hiding?
the trees and the plains, the valleys and the hills, what can they be if they are in hiding? shall you see a vast desert of them then?
the air, if only they have that nature to be seen, they could have assumed such forms that you see, they too are happy to be seen so that you may believe in them,
for in truth, those true and giving do no hide, and if you cannot see them,
they always try,
in some conceivable manifestations,
in some shapes, colors and forms
like some leaves falling when the wind passes by,
like some trees bending, like some pieces of paper blown to the other end.

Time Has a Way of Helping Folks Re-evaluate Priorities
Most people spend most of their lives,
Playing hide and seek.
Not realizing their chosen places to hide,
Have not been that secret.
Nor have they been well hidden.
They waste time.
And all of it theirs!
When they decide they are prepared to be found...
There are very few who care,
Where they were or how they've been.
And they discover too late...
People who they have played with...
Have lives of their own.
And few have wasted theirs,
Wondering where to look...
For something they have long forgotten.
Or can remember what it was,
They sought...
Someone else thought they would miss.

Brother, I remember the old games we play
Hide and seek on evenings when mother is busy
Before we sleep
It is you who knows to hide so well
And I cannot always find you
You win
I lose and you take pride of your skill
In hiding away
There was this time in our lives
When we both hid
And fought and stood on some idealisms
Like rocks against the sea
Like towers standing against cyclones
Like the tree against the winds of
Change,

Sonnet: God Decides Our Earthly-life
I sought a dollar, got a penny just;
I sought a penny, found dollar instead;

The things we seek, don't happen in our time;

The pain behind the smile
I often saw her at the shops with her kids
she was friendly and would say hello,
then I heard some really tragic news
she'd jumped from a high building onto the floor below.
So I went and saw all the masses of flowers
at the place this poor woman had been found,
adults were standing with small children sobbing
while others were reading tributes not making a sound.
Then later on I saw her smiling picture in the paper
I never knew her but I still felt very sad,
it said she was a loving mother to her children
and it was her kids who made her happy and glad.
So why did she go and jump to her death?
what was she hiding behind her beautiful smile?
this poor young woman must have been full of agony
and putting on a brave act all the while.
Three lovely young children have now lost their Mum
but I hope their Mother is now in a much better place,
it just shows what some people are concealing though
behind that forced smile that appears on their face.

We all grew up too fast
