Shopping List
I saw them.
In a supermarket aisle.
Both wore a 'Somebody loves me'
Smile.
Constantly they hugged and kissed.
Had something
Not on my shopping list.

Little Shopping List
Finding recipes,
List the ingredients on yellow lined paper,
Someones building,
A cake for another,
Hundreds and thousands and paper tins,
Underlined self raising flour.
I'd like to see the smile on her face,
When she realises the effort he makes,
I'd like to hear the laughter illuminate the place,
As they devour the cakes.
Little little shopping list,
What happiness you bring,
Little little shopping list,
Where have you been.

Bologna
[parody of my sharona by the knack]
Goin to the market now, market now.
Im the citys biggest bologna buyer.
Walkin down the shopping aisle, shopping aisle,
Filling up my basket with oscar meyer.
Never gonna stop, eat it up,
Such a tasty snack.
I always eat too much, and throw up,
But Ill soon be back
For my-my-my-y-y woo!
M-m-m-m-m-m-m-my-my-my-y-y woo!

My shopping list.
I am going twice a week in the supermarket,
Always preparing beforehand my shopping list,
For example,
Eggs,
Semi-skimmed milk,
A clear consciousness, and
Two bottles of bourbon,
Fresh fruits, and not forget to buy,
Vegetables,
Self-confidence, and, let's see what more, maybe…
One fruit-juice carton, or perhaps two,
A yogurt with low fat,
Fulfillment and something else I have completely forgotten.

Shopping
Were buying and selling your history
How we go about it is no mystery
We check it with the city, then change the law
Are you looking forward?
Now you want some more
Were s-h-o-pp-i-n-g, were shopping
Its easy when you got all the information
Inside help, no investigation
(no investigation, investigation)
No questions in the house, no give and take
Theres a big bang in the city
Were all on the make
Were s-h-o-pp-i-n-g, were shopping
Were s-h-o-pp-i-n-g, were shopping
Our gain is your loss, thats the price you pay
I heard it in the house of commons: everythings for sale
Were shopping
Were shopping
Were s-h-o-pp-i-n-g, were shopping
Were s-h-o-pp-i-n-g, were shopping
Ah ah ah, ah ah ah, ah ah ah, ah ah
Ah ah ah, ah ah ah, ah ah ah, ah ah
Were s-h-o-pp-i-n-g, were shopping
Were s-h-o-pp-i-n-g, were shopping
(were shopping
Were shopping
Were shopping
Were shopping
Were shopping)

Friday Night Shopping
I went to do the shopping at the Supermarket Store
Couldn't find a trolley - so hunted round some more:
I dashed around the car park searching every trolley bay
And at last, with the one with the wonky wheel, I was on my way!
Inevitably, I met someone I'd not seen for a while
So we parked our trolleys in the middle of the aisle
Just to make shopping that bit harder for everybody else
Isn't it a pain when everyone just thinks of self/
We had a conversation about this and that
I was really pleased to see her and enjoyed our chat.
Eventually I reached the checkouts where the fun begins'
To search for the "right queue" and start unloading all my tins.
In front of me was a lady, quite mature.
She'd be quick, I was absolutely sure.
Then her cash could not be found amongst papers and all kinds of dockets
In one of those wretched handbags with about fifteen pockets.
I was glad to leave that store - I'd finished work at five - got home at seven
Sat down with a cuppa' which was pure magic, just sheer heaven!

Apples And Oranges
Got a flip-top pack of cigarettes in her pocket
Feeling good at the top
Shopping in sharp shoes
Walking in the sunshine town feeling very cool
But the butchers and the bakers in the supermarket stores
Getting everything she wants from the supermarket stores
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
Cornering neatly she trips up sweetly
To meet the people
She's on time again
And then
I catch her by the eye then I stop and have to think
What a funny thing to do 'cause I'm feeling very pink
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
I love she
She loves me
See you
See you
Thought you might like to know
I'm the lorry driver man
She's on the run
Down by the river side
feeding ducks in the afternoon tide
(quack quack)
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges

Just smile
A smile never cost a dime
a smile is not a crime
Every smile has a rhyme
A smile might take awhile
a smile might be a life style
you might even smile
walking down a grocery aisle
just remember a smile
comes from deep inside
so i think everyone
should be a smile

The Last Mall
Attention all shoppers
It's Cancellation Day
Yes the Big Adios
Is just a few hours away
It's last call
To do your shopping
At the last mall
You'll need the tools for survival
And the medicine for the blues
The sweet treats and surprises
For the little buckaroos
It's last call
To do your shopping
At the last mall
We've got a sweetheart Sunset Special
And all of the standard stuff
'Cause in the morningthat gospel morning
You'll have to do for yourself when the going gets tough
Roll your cart back up the aisle
Kiss the checkout girls goodbye
Ride the ramp to the freeway
Beneath the blood orange sky
It's last call
To do your shopping
At the last mall

G-d Loves The Raven As He Does The Dove
G-d loves the raven as He does the dove.
G-d constantly shows us His love.
G-d loves me and He loves you.
G-d loves us our whole lives through.
G-d loves us when our souls soar to heaven,
And our bodies descend into the grave.
So when I'm about to die I'll have courage and be brave.

Kevin Kissed Me after James Leigh Hunt Jenny Kissed me
Kevin kissed me when we met,
plucked from program's bug filled plug in!
Cyber scribbler loves to net
poetasters, pipe put that in!
Say I scribble screeds quite mad,
say gold membership attracts me,
say I'm wasting time, but add, -
Kevin kissed me!
(13 February 2012)
Jenny Kissed Me
Jenny kiss'd me when we met,
Jumping from the chair she sat in;
Time, you thief, who love to get
Sweets into your list, put that in!
Say I'm weary, say I'm sad,
Say that health and wealth have miss'd me,
Say I'm growing old, but add,
Jenny kiss'd me.

Yesterday he brought me a rose
And it wasn't our anniversary
But he slapped me the day before
Thinking that I'm his adversary
Then he shoved me, then he kicked me
Then he punched me, but I bit my tongue
Because after all he's my man and he loves me
I'm not so sure and I might be wrong
I think he loves me, he brought me flowers
Sometimes he strikes me, he sometimes beats me
But last night, he raped me in the shower
This morning he brought me a dozen roses
He says he's sorry, but again he hurt me
Again he slapped me, and then he dragged me
But then he kissed me, and then he hugged me
Tonight is special, there are more flowers
There is flowers near my head, flowers near my feet
Again I felt the pain tonight it was so deep
There is candles on my side and people walk by me
Tonight is special and its my funeral
This morning my husband killed me
But after all he loves me.................

Ex-girlfriend
I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girlfriend
I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girlfriend
I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girlfriend
I hope I hold a special place with the rest of them
And you know it makes me sick to be on that list
But I should have thought of that before we kissed
You say youre gonna burn before you mellow
I will be the one to burn you
Whyd you have to go and pick me?
When you that we were different, completely
I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girlfriend
I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girlfriend
I hope I hold a special place with the rest of them
I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girlfriend
Im another ex-girlfriend on your list
But I should have thought of that before we kissed
Your wildness scares me
So does your freedom
You say you cant stand the restrictions
I find myself trying to change you
If you were meant to be my lover I wouldnt have to
And I feel so mean, I feel in between
cause Im about to give you away
I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girlfriend (for someone else to take)
I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girlfriend (am I making a mistake? )
I hope I hold a special place with the rest of them (all the time that we
Spent) I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girl, friend
Im another ex-girlfriend on your list
But I should have thought of that before we kissed
Im another ex-girlfriend on your list
But I should have thought of that before we kissed
Im about to give you away for someone else to take
Im about to give you away for someone else to take
We keep repeating mistakes for souvenirs
And weve been in between the days for years
And I know that when I see you Im going to die
I know Im going to want you and you know why
Its going to kill me to see you with the next girl
cause Im the most gorgeously jealous kind of ex-girl
I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girlfriend
I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girlfriend
I hope I hold a special place with the rest of them
I kinda always knew Id end up your ex-girl friend
Im another ex-girlfriend on your list
But I should have thought of that before we kissed
Im another ex-girlfriend on your list
But I should have thought of that before we kissed

I'm Innocent
She says I raped her but I'm innocent.
We were on a date;
She invited me back to her place.
We hugged and kissed for awhile;
I told a joke that made her smile.
Then we kissed a little more
and my nature started to grow.
So I begin to lay her down;
and feel my hands all around.
I saw that her nipples were getting hard;
so I figured it was time for me to spread her legs apart.
Her lips said no but the rest of her said yes;
so I proceed on my quest.
Now when I finished because she was wet I knew she was satisfied.
So I don't understand why she lied.
She accused me a rape.
I'm innocent we were on a date.
I'm innocent?
I'm innocent?
Aren't I?
Stopping Shopping
Aren’t we ever satisfied by shopping?
Just the thought of popping
Or, as some do, bopping
To the supermarket gets me hopping
Mad. Since my bag burst, popping,
When I was struggling, clopping
Home with the shopping
And distinctly dropping
And predictably plopping
Food on floors, with milk slopping
And smashed eggs dropping,
Making everywhere sopping
So it needed mopping
For, if I didn’t, they’d be stopping
There, where they’d be copping
Some unprintable whopping
Rude words that were popping
Out of my mouth. I’m lopping
Some out of this, not to offend topping,
Polite folk like you. And I’m chopping
And also quickly cropping
This poem short ’cos I’m flopping
With exhaustion. And I need propping
Up. So now I’m stopping -
Stupid shopping.

A Young Sinner's Confession
She was a Catholic Sister,
A bride of Christ, a nun,
All night I hugged and I kissed her,
Made love by the rising sun.
Tell me, little Brother, did I do wrong?
Will I be punished for this song?
I was frightened she'd run away,
I tried to make her stay,
But she killed herself the very next day,
You can see I'm young but my hair's turned grey,
Because I loved her so and I kissed her.

Bartholomew
Bartholomew is very sweet,
From sandy hair to rosy feet.
Bartholomew is six months old,
And dearer far than pearls or gold.
Bartholomew has deep blue eyes,
Round pieces dropped from out the skies.
Bartholomew is hugged and kissed:
He loves a flower in either fist.
Bartholomew's my saucy son:
No mother has a sweeter one!

What If Girls Were More Like Guys?
Girls like nothing more
than making a guy run,
carrying a wish list
that may weight a ton.
Ignoring the work that should be done
to get away and have some fun.
Their actions make some questions rise,
some questions like the whats and whys,
and what if girls
were more like guys.
Not shopping for a thousand years,
not shopping in Macy's
not shopping in Sears.
Then, competition will be men's only fear.
This may be the life that men will like,
no more whats and no more whys,
when girls become
more like guys.

You
Written by dan peek, 1974
Found on holiday.
You
Howd you ever get so cool
Your mother must have kept you out of school
You never learned the golden rule
You think youve got a reputation
You had a smile on your face too soon
Too bad you never learned the tune
Without me, who loves you now
You had a smile on your face too soon
Too bad you never learned the tune
Without me, who loves you now
Go to who loves you now
And tell em youre sorry
Dont need eyes to see you
No one else can tell you how
We were so close to you
There was not anything we wouldnt do
For you
Nobody loves you now
Nobody loves you now
Nobody loves you now
Nobody loves you now
