No, the Mirror Is Not Broken
Trivial
A proclamation left unheard
A nihilist facing charges of murder
Trivial
A prayer left unanswered
An atheist born into the world
Trivial
Brought beneath a feet of debt
Pushed to the edge
I am the answer but nobody will sway
Not my God, for he is dead
Not my family, for they are miles away
Not my lover, for she hates me
I can see the end of the earth
There is an onslaught of miss-happenings
It would seem that these
Are
Ones which will never come to life
Trivial

What is the use of reading the common news of the day, the tragic deaths and abuses of daily living, when for over half a lifetime we have known that they must have occurred just as they have occurred given the conditions that cause them? There is no light in it. It is trivial fill-gap. We know the plane will crash, the train be derailed. And we know why. No one cares, no one can care. We get the news and discount it, we are quite right in doing so. It is trivial. But the haunted news I get from some obscure patient's eyes is not trivial. It is profound.

Trivial Misconception
An event is trivial for those
In whom triviality rests
A drawback
Which drops one back
Like static water in the pond
Budding endemics
But he who has the desire
Looks for monumental in trivial
He sees the lotus bloom
In endemic ponds womb.

We Bury Our Burdens
we carry a sack
full of everything
the trivial and not so trivial
to the others
which we sometimes
deem to be
important
we start cramping things
in a small pack
a pair of shoes, a plaque,
a bat, white polo shirt,
underwear, the certificates,
some poems even
a book about
romance with some
molds on the hard cover
where shall i bury all these things?
for i am moving to
another place
this morning
i wait for the high tide
or which comes first
the dusty early morning
on the road
this cranky motor vehicle
bound for the
dry mountain
where a hole is ready
tagging a shovel

No matter—now—Sweet
704
No matter—now—Sweet—
But when I'm Earl—
Won't you wish you'd spoken
To that dull Girl?
Trivial a Word—just—
Trivial—a Smile—
But won't you wish you'd spared one
When I'm Earl?
I shan't need it—then—
Crests—will do—
Eagles on my Buckles—
On my Belt—too—
Ermine—my familiar Gown—
Say—Sweet—then
Won't you wish you'd smiled—just—
Me upon?

Nature is Game for Life
Nature is game for life
no matter how small it is
how trivial each is.
it soon raises dust
to a creature, infuses its own thoughts
so that it livens up life.
look at the clouds in the sky,
sooner or later, the winds blow
them into shapes of birds, rabbits
and doggies....nature is game for life..
no matter how trivial they ar

I Don't Anymore....
this thing is not the most
important to do in my life
i have many other important things
to manage,
but this one is most addicting
because it can be anything
from trivial to serious
or to nothing but just a
matter of expression for the day
like
hmm, when i have nothing to say
i can always say it here
like when i have nothing else to mind
i can always put it here
you see, we are riding on the same boat
of ennui
when we feel riding it
we do,
when we don't we simply turn this thing off
and
do something else somewhere
nothing kills us, nothing can,
as simple as that...you wonder
i don't anymore.

There are trivial truths and the great truths. The opposite of a trivial truth is plainly false. The opposite of a great truth is also true.

Salt Is.... Just Salty
There's so much in this world I cannot explain
The greatest scholars try in vain
Not because the knowledge is so loft
Not because we're growing soft
Nor because it's abstract
But in fact
Quite the opposite
Because some words there's just not a definition that can fit
The problem doesn't come from the objects
It's the simplicity that does perplex
Even the wisest of us all
Our logic does fall
Because it is so far below
How do we define the? What about slow
There's salt, and memory, and even know
What do we know if we don't know such words
People complain of jargon, taxonomic names for birds
But they can't even define what's simple
With that problem, man we got our hands full
We just cop out
Said that salt is salty, the is the, we live without
A real definition, but I think it's those words that are most profound
Belief, God Truth the list goes on, but this is where true wisdom is found
There's the trivial we can seek define
Or there's the words that matter most which will define
Us, it's those words I think that we should not just verbalize
But instead simply realize
That the definition is known by experience
It's indescribable because they're just that amazing
Our inexperience
Of what's unimportant is as tragic as not knowing
Our own Father, and the pursuit of other things to define us
Is as trivial as looking for a definition of truth.

The Shallow Ones....
the shallow ones,
do not underestimate
those trivial ones
serve you
when the most important ones
desert you,
the sins sometimes
you commit
simply because
there is no better use
for the
quest of holiness
when divinity leaves you
in doubt
you cling to anything
that can help you leave
because self-annihilation
is not a choice.

Frivolous And Trivial Are Not The Same
Do you 'really' wish to know,
Just how frivolous these times we live...
Can be?
I am not out to prove this.
But it was you who stated with authority,
I was exaggerating!
And did so with sarcasism and negativity.
You have a TV I am sure?
Most people today have three.
Uplug your video games from one of them.
And tune into your news channels...
With a listening done to how your politicians,
Plan with your money...
To control your destiny.
After you've done that...
Tune into 'any' REALITY TV program.
These shows reflect,
With a bit of entertainment injected...
Just what is outside your door.
'First of all!
I did not say these times were frivolous.
I said they were trivial! '
Frivolous and trivial are not the same.
And I didn't have to go to college to know that! '
Ooooohhhh...
I see!
Forgive me.
How could I have ever mistaken the difference.
Sorry to interrupt your video game.
'No problem.
This is the only 'reality' I REALLY get.'

Close your bodily eye, so that you may see your picture first with the spiritual eye. Then bring to the light of day that which you have seen in the darkness so that it may react upon others from the outside inwards. A picture must not be invented but felt. Observe the form exactly, both the smallest and the large and do not separate the small from the large, but rather the trivial from the important.

Trivia Questions
Before you
there was nothing
and after
you, there will be nothing.
I've always told you, young lad,
how you remind me
of Lord Krishna.
As you bathe in the light of
nuclear holocaust,
your outstretched arms transform
into IV hangers.
The softest, most tranquil
valium
runs laps through
my nervous system.
Oh how the rays of misty light
look beautiful
on your expressionless forehead.
I just want to kiss them off.
Remember that one time we argued
because I wouldn't
follow
your advice?
I'm sorry. Please forget about it?
It was trivial. It was all trivial.
Trivia questions:
Who was the 9th president?
What is the 14th ammendment?
Who was Eva Braun?
In what year
did the poet
Carl Adam Ingwell die?
What were his major accomplishments?
Trivia.
All that matters right now
is that nothing matters.
But doesn't that mean that something
matters?
Let's just dance, you and I,
shoeless
upon these clouds of death.
Even Hyenas Have Some Sense
'They are laughing at 'you'! '
And that...
You have taken notice?
'It is not 'me' it is 'you' they are laughing at! '
Oh,
I understand that very clear.
But they are not here,
In my focus!
To give them the notice you give!
They are there to do...
Whatever 'hyenas' like them do!
They want you attracted.
To distract.
Don't point at them.
They will point right back!
And then begin to play games,
Of trivial pursuit.
See them sitting there?
That's all that they do.
I care less about them laughing.
Even hyenas have some sense.
Something mindful of a survival to dispense.
And they have 'sat' doing that...
For as long as I can remember!
And not one dollar have they made,
Or been paid to do it!

Coquette et Froide
What is thy thought of me?
What is thy feeling?
Lov'st thou the veil of sense,
Or its revealing?
Leav'st thou the maiden rose
Drooping and blushing,
Or rend'st its bosom with
Kissing and crushing?
I would be beautiful
That thou should'st woo me,
Gentle, delightsome, but
To draw thee to me.
Yet should thy longing eye
Ever caress me,
And quickened Fantasy
Only, possess me,
Thus thy heart's highest need
Long would I cherish,
Lest its more trivial wish
Pall, and then perish.
Would that Love's fond pursuit
Were crownèd never,
Or that his virgin kiss
Lasted for ever!

The Scarecrows
i have been wanting to say
everything
yes everything from the most trivial
to the most important
those subdued
those concealed
those that beat in protest
those that can even kill me
or us
because we have been too meek
because we have been to subservient
to the dictates of restraints
look at us
emaciated with suppression
too guilty about unused freedoms
of tools shining inside the cabinets
of some disguises
look at us
we are less human
our mouths thin out
our ears sealing the orifices
of truth
our minds are nothing but plains
without grass
ourselves
scarecrows in the fields
