No, the Mirror Is Not Broken
Trivial
A proclamation left unheard
A nihilist facing charges of murder
Trivial
A prayer left unanswered
An atheist born into the world
Trivial
Brought beneath a feet of debt
Pushed to the edge
I am the answer but nobody will sway
Not my God, for he is dead
Not my family, for they are miles away
Not my lover, for she hates me
I can see the end of the earth
There is an onslaught of miss-happenings
It would seem that these
Are
Ones which will never come to life
Trivial

We Bury Our Burdens
we carry a sack
full of everything
the trivial and not so trivial
to the others
which we sometimes
deem to be
important
we start cramping things
in a small pack
a pair of shoes, a plaque,
a bat, white polo shirt,
underwear, the certificates,
some poems even
a book about
romance with some
molds on the hard cover
where shall i bury all these things?
for i am moving to
another place
this morning
i wait for the high tide
or which comes first
the dusty early morning
on the road
this cranky motor vehicle
bound for the
dry mountain
where a hole is ready
tagging a shovel

When a philosopher says something that is true then it is trivial. When he says something that is not trivial then it is false.

What is the use of reading the common news of the day, the tragic deaths and abuses of daily living, when for over half a lifetime we have known that they must have occurred just as they have occurred given the conditions that cause them? There is no light in it. It is trivial fill-gap. We know the plane will crash, the train be derailed. And we know why. No one cares, no one can care. We get the news and discount it, we are quite right in doing so. It is trivial. But the haunted news I get from some obscure patient's eyes is not trivial. It is profound.

Trivial Misconception
An event is trivial for those
In whom triviality rests
A drawback
Which drops one back
Like static water in the pond
Budding endemics
But he who has the desire
Looks for monumental in trivial
He sees the lotus bloom
In endemic ponds womb.

People are curious. A few people are. They will be driven to find things out, even trivial things. They will put things together, knowing all along that they may be mistaken. You see them going around with
notebooks, scraping the dirt off gravestones, reading microfilm, just in the hope of seeing this trickle in time, making a connection, rescuing one thing from the rubbish.

Frivolous Tonight
Let us talk about some trivial things we like
A bit of this and that
Lets chew the fat
Pour ourselves a glass of stout
And let our rael brook shirts hang out
Nothing makes us more content
To let us wallow in a bit of nonsense
Were all so frivolous tonight, tonight
Lets reveal our childlike nature
And leave our stocks and invoices to rot
Lets go to pot
Tell our jokes about mothers in law
But watch him jump when she comes through the door
Oh the party goes with a swing
When we talk about the trivial things
Were all so frivolous tonight
But theres always one
Who wants to talk shop
Well drive him through the door
With a broom or a mop
Let us tell our favourite story
About some poor chap who put it on display
Hip hooray
And let the girls gather in their slacks
To talk about husbands hairy backs
Some might think were a bit of a shower
But this could be our finest hour
Were all so frivolous tonight, tonight
Were all so ridiculous tonight.

From trivial things great arguments often arise.
In larger things we are convivial; what causes trouble is the trivial.

No matter—now—Sweet
704
No matter—now—Sweet—
But when I'm Earl—
Won't you wish you'd spoken
To that dull Girl?
Trivial a Word—just—
Trivial—a Smile—
But won't you wish you'd spared one
When I'm Earl?
I shan't need it—then—
Crests—will do—
Eagles on my Buckles—
On my Belt—too—
Ermine—my familiar Gown—
Say—Sweet—then
Won't you wish you'd smiled—just—
Me upon?

When you're 50 you start thinking about things you haven't thought about before. I used to think getting old was about vanity - but actually it's about losing people you love. Getting wrinkles is trivial.

Nature is Game for Life
Nature is game for life
no matter how small it is
how trivial each is.
it soon raises dust
to a creature, infuses its own thoughts
so that it livens up life.
look at the clouds in the sky,
sooner or later, the winds blow
them into shapes of birds, rabbits
and doggies....nature is game for life..
no matter how trivial they ar

Again, one of the problems I have with television, as I mentioned before, is it's trivial in many ways, and I think that a lot of folks out there are looking for new metaphors and new ways of thinking about things.

Dear Miroslava
I think you should relax
take some time off
and urgently start loving yourself
find new goals
good things to focus on
you dwell too much inside
it's good you're spitting things out
wow a great leap for someone like you
you might as well learn to let it go
might be a challenge you like
Sincerely yours
Miroslava
P.S. I know it all takes time for you. Perhaps it'll help
if I tell you you are not the only person in this world
who has problems. Your are trivial in the face of the earth.
