Bible Stories: Job (Chapter XXIV)
Job Continues:
Why God doesn’t set time-frames for all?
Why friends can’t see a man’s sad days?
Wicked erase every landmark;
They steal the herds of other men;
They drive away orphan’s asses;
The needy can’t walk on a road;
Widow’s pledged ox is stolen too.
They drive the poor into hiding
Like desert asses, seeking food;
The Steppe provides food for their young;
They harvest untilled lands at night.
They have no clothes against the cold;
They’re drenched by heavy mountain-rains;
They cling to rocks without shelter;
They press the oil out between rows.
They glean the vineyards of wicked;
They tread wine-presses but have thirst;
They carry sheaves but look famished;
With naked bodies, they pass nights.
The dying groan in dust with pain;
The souls of wounded cry to God;
When darkness falls, the poor get killed
By murderers who abhor light.
Adulterers await twilight;
‘No eye sees me! ’ is what they say;
The thief awaits the night’s onset,
And wears a mask to roam and loot.
In dark, they break into houses,
And shut themselves when comes the dawn;
To them, the day is dark like night;
Their land is accursed to the core;
Like wood, God splinters wickedness!
God assures safety and support;
He sustains mighty by His strength,
And watches over all their ways;
Exalted for awhile, they’re gone
Like ears of grain, that’s shriveled, dry!
This is the truth and what happens!
Who brings my arguments to naught?

Time To Stand Opposed
Truth may be black and white, but some choose the dark of night,
When it comes to political views, many simply shift and just muse.
Thinking of all, but God's Word, ignoring Truths that they've heard,
Truths which should be our light, in this world where wrong is right.
Compromising Scripture for man; it's not of God but Satan's plan,
Satan's plan to hinder God's Truth; look around and see the proof,
An amoral nation we've become, as for Truth we're biblically dumb,
Following the ways of wicked men, in a nation God shall condemn!
The Truth has become irrelevant, so how long shall The Lord relent?
He, who put His Law in our heart, from which many chose to depart,
This country shall have no excuse, regardless of how leaders muse,
As their thinking is devoid of God, so they'll see His Righteous Rod,
Unfortunately some in The Church, follow their wicked political lurch,
As they make changes suddenly, they defy the God over all eternity,
The Laws ascribed by a Holy God, for all men upon this earthly sod,
Yet more are following the evil ways, of immoral leaders in our days.
It is time for many to take a stand, in an ever increasing amoral land,
All, who know Christ's Righteousness, must oppose the wickedness,
Being Christ's Light in this world, where Satan's darkness is unfurled,
In a world that is turning dark as night, to point others to God's Light.

The Watches Of The Night
O the waiting in the watches of the night!
In the darkness, desolation, and contrition and affright;
The awful hush that holds us shut away from all delight:
The ever weary memory that ever weary goes
Recounting ever over every aching loss it knows--
The ever weary eyelids gasping ever for repose--
In the dreary, weary watches of the night!
Dark--stifling dark--the watches of the night!
With tingling nerves at tension, how the blackness flashes white
With spectral visitations smitten past the inner sight!--
What shuddering sense of wrongs we've wrought
that may not be redressed--
Of tears we did not brush away--of lips we left unpressed,
And hands that we let fall, with all their loyalty unguessed!
Ah! the empty, empty watches of the night!
What solace in the watches of the night?--
What frailest staff of hope to stay--what faintest shaft of light?
Do we _dream_ and dare _believe_ it, that by never weight of right
Of our own poor weak deservings, we shall win the dawn at last--
Our famished souls find freedom from this penance for the past,
In a faith that leaps and lightens from the gloom
that flees aghast--
Shall we survive the watches of the night?
One leads us through the watches of the night--
By the ceaseless intercession of our loved ones lost to sight
He is with us through all trials, in His mercy and His might;--
With our mothers there about Him, all our sorrow disappears,
Till the silence of our sobbing is the prayer the Master hears,
And His hand is laid upon us with the tenderness of tears
In the waning of the watches of the night.

Night Blues
Blue whinning guitars
Greet shimmering stars-
It's mercy the night brings
To forget the day, in the evening blues I sing-
Arise distant and dark moon
Open despairs tomb-
Melancholy, like water passes through me
I am the rough and windy sea-
The night's a gutter
Gathering and consuming each days clutter-
It's there alone in the dark
Things so easily come apart-
Drenched in the blues
While trying to muse-
Two lives I live
The night takes, what the life of day gives-
It's humanities eternal war...
Ravaged to the core-
Evil vs. good... and if you ever face it,
You'll be so misunderstood-
Everything is fine
If you're good... and blind-
But, if you want to know what's real and true
It's gonna cost you-
Maybe I can fake it in the light of day
Put on a mask... pretend it's all o.k.-
But the dark of night
Brings out the true blight-
Melancholy comes calling
When the lights start falling-
It's just the way it's going to be
These old night time blues and me-
So, I'll just let it go
Take a little mercy where I can,
Whatever grace it takes
To pass on through, this darkened land.

Give Me Dark Any Day
Darkness a shroud, created to blind
Light often leaves somebody behind
Dark is forever, faithful and true
Light often hides all the lies from you
You think light brings answers, no
Night does that, just so you know
Night is protective
Light, selective
Night is a comfort, a blanket, and friend
Light hides more lies and ways to pretend
Night is how you protect yourself
Light brings pain that you'd rather put away on a shelf
Watch as night appears as Light fades in the west
Now can you see why I like Dark best?
On that note, I leave you with this
Know that Night will protect you with a dark, sweet abyss

All Souls
I
A THIN moon faints in the sky o'erhead,
And dumb in the churchyard lie the dead.
Walk we not, Sweet, by garden ways,
Where the late rose hangs and the phlox delays,
But forth of the gate and down the road,
Past the church and the yews, to their dim abode.
For it's turn of the year and All Souls' night,
When the dead can hear and the dead have sight.
II
Fear not that sound like wind in the trees:
It is only their call that comes on the breeze;
Fear not the shudder that seems to pass:
It is only the tread of their feet on the grass;
Fear not the drip of the bough as you stoop:
It is only the touch of their hands that grope -
For the year's on the turn, and it's All Souls' night,
When the dead can yearn and the dead can smite.
III
And where should a man bring his sweet to woo
But here, where such hundreds were lovers too?
Where lie the dead lips that thirst to kiss,
The empty hands that their fellows miss,
Where the maid and her lover, from sere to green,
Sleep bed by bed, with the worm between?
For it's turn of the year and All Souls' night,
When the dead can hear and the dead have sight.
IV
And now that they rise and walk in the cold,
Let us warm their blood and give youth to the old.
Let them see us and hear us, and say: 'Ah, thus
In the prime of the year it went with us!'
Till their lips drawn close, and so long unkist,
Forget they are mist that mingles with mist!
For the year's on the turn, and it's All Souls' night,
When the dead can burn and the dead can smite.
V
Till they say, as they hear us - poor dead, poor dead! -
'Just an hour of this, and our age-long bed -
Just a thrill of the old remembered pains
To kindle a flame in our frozen veins,
Just a touch, and a sight, and a floating apart,
As the chill of dawn strikes each phantom heart -
For it's turn of the year and All Souls' night,
When the dead can hear, and the dead have sight.'
VI
And where should the living feel alive
But here in this wan white humming hive,
As the moon wastes down, and the dawn turns cold,
And one by one they creep back to the fold?
And where should a man hold his mate and say:
'One more, one more, ere we go their way'?
For the year's on the turn, and it's All Souls' night,
When the living can learn by the churchyard light.
VII
And how should we break faith who have seen
Those dead lips plight with the mist between,
And how forget, who have seen how soon
They lie thus chambered and cold to the moon?
How scorn, how hate, how strive, we too,
Who must do so soon as those others do?
For it's All Souls' night, and break of the day,
And behold, with the light the dead are away. . . .

Crazy
not sayin'
not charmed at all
not sayin'
that you weren't worth
the fall
and i was alone when
i knew it was real
down the canyon
when i knew i had come
to the line
through the dawn
to the light
to the turn
when you said
you could drive
all night
drive all night
so i let crazy
take a spin
then i let crazy
settle in
kicked off my shoes
shut reason out
he said "first let's just
unzip your religion
down"
found that i
i craved at all
saw me melt
into your
native shelter
where you carved my
name
paper tigers scare
and came
alive
through the dawn
to the light
to the turn
when you said
you could drive all night
all night
drive all night
so i let crazy
take a spin
then i let crazy
settle in
kicked off my shoes
shut reason out
he said "first let's just
unzip your religion
down"
so i let crazy
pull me in
then i let crazy
take his spin
kicked off my shoes
shut reason out
he said "first let's just unzip
your religion down"
heard that you were once
"temptation's girl"
and as soon
as you have
rearranged the mess
in your head
he will show up looking
sane
perfectly sane
if i know crazy

Wandering Stranger
Down an old dirt road
Lives a wandering stranger
He carries a heavy load
But he means no danger
No one notices his scars
No one notices he's alive
While he picks at his guitar
Everyone continues to drive
He goes home to another night
He's all alone in the dark
He can't afford any light
Trying to avoid the shark
Getting by is getting old
Playing his guitar like a ghost
Wishing for a pot of gold
Dreaming of an ivory coast
No one understands why
He does what he does
He'll break down and cry
Wishing for what was
Looking for a contract
But living for the change
His life is off track
His way of life, strange
He lost his way and his life
Payoff for a wicked mistake
He used to have a wife
Before being bit by the snake

Memory
Moonlight,
In the middle of a cold night,
All alone in silence,
Brings back memory,
Of the happy days with you.
Starlight,
seemed so distant in the night sky,
But each one of them,
are my many happy memory of you,
That warms up my cold heart.
Twilight,
It appeared after a dark night,
And so is the bright sunlight and busy day,
No matter how hard I try to run away,
When silent nights returned,
Memory will visit again and again.

Dark Becomes Dawn
Dark as pitch - Dawn spreads light
Dark as dead - Dawn expires graves
Dark withers - Dawn freshness wears
Dark un-paths - Dawn re-strides.
Dark dapples gray - Dawn paints days
Dark specters doubt - Dawn assuredness' gate
Dark limitless plain - Dawn corrals night
Dark swifts shadows - Dawn hastens un-obscures.
Dark dissolves pace - Dawn zeniths one's range
Dark devours - Dawn sun rises
Dark bends down relief - Dawn uplifts sight
Dark dismantles - Dawn scatters golden arrows.
Dark de-flames - Dawn matches day
Dark invisibles - Dawn globes light
Dark unfolds dark dreams - Dawn un-sanctions screams
Dark submissively retires - Dawn crimson splendor.

Taxi Suite (excerpt: 1. After Anacreon)
When I drive cab
I am moved by strange whistles and wear a hat
When I drive cab
I am the hunter. My prey leaps out from where it
hid, beguiling me with gestures
When I drive cab
all may command me, yet I am in command of all who do
When I drive cab
I am guided by voices descending from the naked air
When I drive cab
A revelation of movement comes to me. They wake now.
Now they want to work or look around. Now they want
drunkenness and heavy food. Now they contrive to love.
When I drive cab
I bring the sailor home from the sea. In the back of
my car he fingers the pelt of his maiden
When I drive cab
I watch for stragglers in the urban order of things.
When I drive cab
I end the only lit and waitful things in miles of
darkened houses
At The Time Of Darkness
I am feeling ravenous due to the taste of some food,
Describing is like fortitude, for it is sweet in taste.
My strength arrived at night, for mighty nights are
Strongly out of compulsions, fully grown.
My nightmare ended that very night I was sleeping,
To zigzag across the pillow, and to queerly sigh,
Folding the garments so expensively, reading in the dark.
Civil was the night at the time of darkness,
A presentation I call it, a mild taste so longed for.

Changing Days And Ways
One chilly start to this day, waiting for the sun's first ray,
As God above sends forth, the sun for light and warmth,
The sun is the larger light, to break darkness of the night,
Ordered by the Creator God, for daily light upon this sod.
In that sun produced light, we walk in ways deemed right,
Deemed right by the Creator, as men move to the Savior;
While in darkness evil men, go in ways God will condemn,
As they trip and spiritually fall, denying the Lord's over all.
At times the sun is hidden by, clouds which mask the sky,
Being covered by God's power, to provide man a shower;
But, with dark clouds overhead, it's harsh weather instead,
When heavy rains are poured, upon the earth, by The Lord.
Even as the seasons change, it gets cold but light remains,
While the fields receive their rest, we enter into winter's test,
When the summer rain we know, may turn into ice and snow,
Making travel hectic friend, but, that season has too an end.
God who makes all the change, up above remains the same,
A loving God, but man must, understand that He is also just,
Wanting us to leave our dark sin, while we truly embrace Him,
Moving into the light of Christ, through salvation into new life.
Bible Stories: Job (Chapter XVIII)
Bildad, the Shuhite, replied thus:
When will you end your word-duel?
Reflect and we can discuss well;
Why do you equate us to beasts?
You tear yourself in anger fast.
The light of wicked ones doesn’t stay;
No flame can burn his hearth all day;
His tent remains in dense darkness;
His lamp cannot burn with brightness.
He falls headlong into the net,
And plunges down into the Pit;
His heel is seized by trap, he lays;
A noose lies hid for him always.
At every step, terror affrights;
Ready is disaster all nights;
Destruction brings his tent down soon;
On his abode, God rains brimstone.
His roots are dry: branches wither;
The land forgets his name with ease;
His fame, the earth will soon erase;
From light, he runs into darkness.
Out of the world, he is banished;
His progeny have all vanished;
No survivor stays where he dwelt;
His fate appalls those who come aft;
The ones before are horror-struck.
The impious shall dwell like this;
The atheists never know bliss!

Further On
Where the road is dark
and the seat is soaked
where the gun is cocked
and the bullet's cold
where the miles are marked in blood and gold
I'll meet you further on up the road
Got on my dead man's suit
and my smilin' skull ring
my lucky graveyard boots
and a song to sing
I got a song to sing, keep me out of the cold
and I'll meet you further on up the road
Further on up the road
further on up the road
where the way is dark
and the night is cold
but one sunny morning we'll rise, I know
and I'll meet you further on up the road
Well I been out in the desert
was doin' my time
searching through the dust
looking for a sign
if there's a light up ahead
well, buddy, I don't know
but I got this fever
burning in my soul
so let's take the good times as they come
and I'll meet you further on up the road
Further on up the road
further on up the road
where the way is dark
and the night is cold
one sunny morning we'll rise, I know
and I'll meet you further on up the road
one sunny morning we'll rise, I know
and I'll meet you further on up the road

To End In Reproof
Don’t think it to be strange, about evil’s depth and range,
Or evil’s very strong allure, when sin knocks at your door,
As men on this earth confer, with that wicked one Lucifer,
Who is a fallen angel at best, for putting God to that test.
But, for Satan’s wicked desire, he is destined for the fire,
That’s the eternal fires of Hell, where he will forever dwell;
Until then, earth’s a stage, filled with Satan’s wicked rage,
Gathering, til his curtain falls, to Hell, many aimless souls.
Aimless souls are everywhere, many so eternally unaware,
Pursuing life’s empty dreams, of Satan’s darker schemes;
With so many Satan’s easy prey, along life’s broader way,
Exposed to his evil seduction, upon a path of destruction.
Blinding the eyes of the world, as his darkness is unfurled,
Employing darkness of night, to hinder God’s saving light,
The light Satan does despise, as it opens hearts and eyes,
To the saving Truth of Christ, that grants souls Eternal Life.
Satan will go to any length, to reduce one’s moral strength,
Enticing the soul to follow him, to pursue a dark life of sin;
While he deceives the heart, before from earth they depart,
So they don’t embrace Truth, to see God’s eternal reproof.

Dark night is a holy blur
Dark dark night stop taunting me
Dark night and I think of her
Dark dark night I'm so lonely
Dark night why leave in me such a mess
Dark dark night I feel so much
Dark night filled with nothingness

Darkness Of...
Darkness is not the darkness of night
it is the darkness of mind and soul.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of discrimination between poor and rich.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of dishonesty.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of aggravate.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is darkness of corruption.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of indiscipline.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of animosity.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of inveterate.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness of perjury.
darkness is not the darkness of night,
it is the darkness that we all brought up inside us,
so, light the lamp of light inside you...

Sonnet: Our Time Is Out
Don’t drive us Lord to tolerance’s edge;
To despair’s cliff, the fall which means sure doom;
Don’t let the devils drive a mighty wedge
Between man’s soul and God: bride and Bridegroom!
For, human beings can’t suffer for long!
The world is too much for their petite forms;
How longer can they sing their plaintive song?
For, Death invites their frames to worms.
O help them Lord, to mitigate their strife
Or take them off world’s scene, if You so want;
What can they do with frail bodies, scarce life?
And daily food and shelter get, they can’t.
O hear the cries of your unfortunate souls!
If not for You, who else can change their roles?

Rip The Night Away
If it ain't natural, then it ain't real
Ohh we gon' be kickin' tonight
We gon' be sipping tonight
Ripping the night away (rip the night away)
Ohh, when the time is right
Another full moon light
We rip the night away (rip the night away)
If this was the last joint, that we ever rolled up tight,
I'd want to be with good friends, underneath that open sky,
Play some mellow music, throw our dreams into the fire,
Release all the demons, and our souls are uprising
Oh we gon' be kickin' tonight
We gon' be sipping tonight
Ripping the night away (rip the night away)
Oh, when the time is right
Another full moon light
We rip the night away (rip the night away)
Oh we gon' be kickin' tonight
We gon' be sipping tonight
Ripping the night away (rip the night away)
Oh, when the time is right
Another full moon light
We rip the night away (rip the night away)
There's nothing in the world like some good times and good vibes
Surrounded with your friends and your family by your side
All the time you spent together going out havin' fun
Doin' the things you do, this life style's got us on the run
Life's too precious every moment make it count
Some days you're on the top some day's you're down and out
This life's a gift, I'm gonna shine my light
So sit back, relax, get high, with us and kick it with us tonight
Oh we gon' be kickin' tonight
We gon' be sipping tonight
Ripping the night away (rip the night away)
Oh, when the time is right
Another full moon light
We rip the night away (rip the night away)
Oh we gon' be kickin' tonight
We gon' be sipping tonight
Ripping the night away (rip the night away)
Oh, when the time is right
Another full moon light
We rip the night away (rip the night away)
(Rip the night away)
Burning, burning, burning
(Rip the night away)
Burning, burning, burning
(Rip the night away)
Burning, the night away
Take me to the mountain high, where I can smoke a bowl in peace while I drive
I'm on a
Back road with my sunroof open, on the way to meet the friends, we'll gather and tokin', and we
Build a fire and chill for the night, get drunk on old times and roll a few, what I like we just,
Sit there, fire and reminisce 'bout the best days of our lives and we be the ones blazin'
Oh we gon' be kickin' tonight
We gon' be sipping tonight
Ripping the night away (rip the night away)
Oh, when the time is right
Another full moon light
We rip the night away (rip the night away)
Oh we gon' be kickin' tonight
We gon' be sipping tonight
Ripping the night away (rip the night away)
Oh, when the time is right
Another full moon light
We rip the night away (rip the night away)
