Simple Pleasure
This morning I had eggs
Sunny side up
Cooked in the grease
Of sage pork sausage
Seasoned generously with
Louisiana hot sauce
and freshly ground
Tellaberry pepper
I ate until
I could barely stand
And if I should chance…
To die this day
I won't care…
I'll die a happy man

Samuel Silly Susage
Come with me down to shady Bottlebrush Way,
Off Cuddly Koala Avenue one bright sunny day.
There's someone I'd very much like you to meet,
My friend Samuel Silly Sausage with two left feet.
Samuel Silly Sausage is a funny little man.
He caught an elephant fish and cooked it in a seaweed pan.
His mother put the fish on a big china dish,
And he smothered it in jam, which was his wish.
Samuel Silly Sausage is a funny little man.
He built a castle made of lovely white sand.
He took the castle and placed it on a slice of bread.
Then walked around with the bread and castle on his head.
Samuel Silly Sausage is a funny little man,
He holds his hair in a rubber band.
He sits in his kitchen eating chocolate and tripe.
With pork chop apples, not quite ripe.
Samuel Silly Sausage is a funny little man.
He wears a pineapple ring on his hand.
Sometimes he wears a big red sock on his ear,
Mostly when he walks by the sea, along the pier.
Now Samuel Silly Sausage does funny things, it's true,
But he'll be a good and honest friend to you.
Who cares if he's a silly sausage from time to time?
He's still a very good friend of mine.

For the Love of Swine
Breakfast without bacon,
Seems like no breakfast at all.
Without Italian sausage roasted or baked...
In spaghetti.
It would be like having a milkshake,
Without milk.
Or Easter without ham.
With leftover sandwiches to make.
And those porkchops are delicious.
Especially fried.
And if they are seasoned just right to eat...
Some can be cooked to bring tears to eyes.
Smoked shoulder, and pickled pigfeet.
Neckbones and hamhocks.
With hotsauce on pork rinds.
A meal with neither of these,
On many Southern tables...
Is worse than committing the most horrendous crime.
For the love of swine,
People the world over can not resist.
Some relationships have ended...
Over spareribs and chitterlings,
If they were not properly fixed.

Upon Visiting A Dying Woman In The Hospital At Room 108
actually the barbecue
is more than what it appears to be
its scent of meat
and the hotness of the spice
and delicacy of
the sauce
it is the front of something
that is hidden
there is something behind its shape
and odor
i cannot speak to you about it
so i offer you that
pork barbecue
i know that hunger that
does not want to be fed
time fills that
grief
that cannot be appeased
the barbecue is cold
set aside in one of the corners
of the table
grease is solidified
no one
not one from those who see
the emaciated body
of the dying woman
wants to take
the bite
someone does
but eventually there is that
obstruction in the
throat
and so the tongue
expels that piece
of pork barbecue
again
what a waste!
yet we can never voice
this matter out
the eyes speak a lot
but you know then
they have no voices

Utilitarian Point Of View
as the gray hen cackles looking for a place to lay her eggs
the red rooster looks for another white hen to shuffle on the ground,
we who see this does not condemn, nay we never think of morality
or codes of ethical conduct, as the rooster is just doing the work that nature and man have assigned to it
no hen ever complains that the rooster has copulated with the other
six hens around the poultry in the backyard and in the garden
neither shall we reprimand the rooster for being so restless and
cocky and prolific or as we call it engages in promiscuous sex
all that we are thinking on that moment are the eggs that each hen can lay, our minds looking forward to every morning's breakfast, when we shall choose, the usual delights: either scrambled or sunny side up or perhaps a hard-boiled egg for our personal consumption.

Cork and Sip
Sausage.
Beef and sautéed.
With a bit of soy sauce.
Bedded with sliced onions...
And green pepper.
Wrapped in foil.
Tin,
I prefer.
Baked in a preheated oven,
At 350 degrees.
And left for at least one half hour.
Then served with garden grown tomatos.
Appetize yourself with this.
Remove the cork and sip...
On your White Zinfandel!
'OH...
How could I forget the dashing of brown sugar?
Do it...
If you dare new sensations! '

Pepper | Smart Mouth Poetry / lyrics
Sharp tongue, smart mouth
Fine line, know how
Stay calm, pull it together
Speaks soft, don’t sound like pepper
It hurts, tastes sharp
When you walk in, and start to talk
Cuts deep, feel it forever
My heart is burning, burning like pepper
Stop, sounding, like pepper
Scattering your pieces all over
You’re gonna, stay black forever
So I’ll ground you, the more the better
I’ll ground you like pepper
Ground you like pepper
Ground you forever
It would be better
If you stopped the pepper
Stop with the spice
Stop with the tone
Stop burning holes
Right threw my bones
I’ve got a heart
It’s soft and its tender
Try and be smart
Stop using pepper

Dont Stand Another Chance
Standin at the edge of time bout to lose my mind
cause you try to take him away from me, I wont let it be
You just walk into my life and try to take away my only prize
But you better give credit cause his love is right here for me
You dont stand another chance
You dont stand another chance
You dont stand another chance
You dont stand another chance
He belongs to me, just wait and see
Take him in my arms, give him love, not too much of me
Nothin you can do or say to make him look your way
So you better give credit cause its gonna come walking my way
You dont stand another chance
You dont stand another chance (ohh)
You dont stand another chance (you dont stand baby)
You dont stand another chance (you dont stand)
You dont stand another chance
Sit and wait at home bout to leave me alone (I know baby)
Youll be with him when hes up, not down, to keep him on the ground
Let me tell you something, its true, hes not in love with you
So you better give credit cause its nothing coming down your way
You dont stand another chance (not a chance, baby)
You dont stand another chance (you dont stand, baby)
You dont stand another chance (baby) you dont stand another chance (you dont stand)
Well, you know somebodys gotta lose
We all cant win... maybe next time, okay
You guys are confusing
You dont stand another chance (you dont stand)
You dont stand another chance (you dont stand, baby)
You dont stand another chance (you dont stand, baby)
You dont stand another chance (another chance)

Grease
Frankie valli - grease theme song
I solve my problems and I see the light
We got a lovin thing, we gotta feed it right
There aint no danger we can go to far
We start believing now that we can be what we are
Grease is the word
They think our love is just a growing pain
Why dont they understand, its just a crying shame
Their lips are lying only real is real
We stop the fight right now, we got to be what feel
Grease is the word
Its got groove its got meaning
Grease is the time, is the place, is the motion
Grease is the way we are feeling
We take the pressure and we throw away
Conventionalitly belongs to yesterday
There is a chance that we can make it so far
We start believing now but we can be who we are
Grease is the word
Its got groove its got meaning
Grease is the time, is the place is the motion
Grease is the way we are feeling
This is the life of illusion
Wrapped up in trouble, laced with confusion
What are we doing here?
We take the pressure and we throw away
Conventionality belongs to yesterday
There is a chance that we can make it so far
We start believing now that we can be who we are
Grease is the word
Its got groove its got meaning
Grease is the time, is the place is the motion
Grease is the way we are feeling
Grease is the word
Its got groove its got meaning
Grease is the time, is the place is the motion
Grease is the way we are feeling
Grease is the word
Is the word
Is the word
Is the word

Sausage
We are ground, but no more grounded
In our family affairs:
What is found, is so confounded
That no Sausage longer cares
To determine how or what he
Owes the family of Pork,
In the pens of Cincinnati,
Of Chicago, or New York.

The Frim Fram Sauce
(joe ricardel, redd evans)
I dont want french fried potatoes,
Red ripe tomatoes,
Im never satisfied.
I want the frim fram sauce with the ausen fay
With chafafa on the side.
I dont want pork chops and bacon,
That wont awaken
My appetite inside.
I want the frim fram sauce with the ausen fay
With chafafa on the side.
A fella really got to eat
And a fella should eat right.
Five will get you ten
Im gonna feed myself right tonight.
I dont want fish cakes and rye bread,
You heard what I said.
Waiter, please serve mine fried
I want the frim fram sauce with the ausen fay
With chafafa on the side.

A fella really got to eat
And a fella should eat right.

Look A Little On The Sunny Side
Look a little on the sunny side
Even when they say youre on the slide,
And for a while theyll say your records never make it,
But in a while theyre gonna be showering you with praises.
Theyll give you mediocre reviews
And put you in the underground for a while,
But look a little on the funny, sunny side of life,
Look a little on the sunny side.
You sing em the blues
And then they ask for a happy tune,
And when you start to smile theyll say gimme dat rhythm and blues,
And when you give em dat rhythm and blues theyll simply smile and say
We didnt want to hear you play,
We didnt like you any way.
Its very hard to please the people every single time,
But look a little on the sunny side.
Look a little on the sunny side
Even when you feel you want to hide,
You gotta laugh, dont let your critics ever upset you,
cos for a while the cynics will all be out to get you.
You gotta be shrewd, you gotta be strong
Youve gotta convince yourself that you are not wrong,
Whistle a tune and think of a catchy, happy, little song
And look a little on the sunny side.
Its very hard to please the people every single time,
But look a little on the sunny side.
Theyre gonna put you down for a while
Youve got to learn to grit your teeth and smile
And look a little on the funny, sunny side of life,
Look a little on the sunny side.

Kielbasa
No,
I'm not Polish.
Do I have to be?
To love kielbasa...
With scrambled eggs, hashbrowns
And hot tea.
That's my favorite,
Although I do enjoy it with beans.
Leafy vegetables like cabbage also will do.
I tried to make it once.
1 -1/2 lbs of lean boneless pork
1/2 boneless veal
1 tsp.salt to add zest and zeal.
I used 1 tsp. of black crushed pepper,
With three cloves of crushed fresh garlic.
A tablespoon of mustard seed...
And a 1/4 cup of ice also crushed.
Make sure you get the casing.
Cut the meat into small chunks.
Then grind the meat with the seasonings and ice.
Mix this well...
Stuff the mixed meat into the casing.
Either smoke this stuff in an outside smoker.
Or grill.
Oh yes...
Don't forget to tie a knot into the casing!
And close each end.
If you don't you'll have sausage all over the place.
Just a Spring recipe to enjoy for Easter AND...
St. Patrick's Day.
But the Irish have their own separate deliciousness!

Precision of Your Act
'You are cold, calculating, vicious and obnoxious.'
REALLY?
You saw me capturing all that?
Wow.
And you...
Are one of the most honest human beings I've met.
Come here...
I need to speak to you.
Do you have time?
Please have a seat.
You are definitely one I can respect and cherish,
For that assessment.
That was great.
I hope you are seeking a best friend?
Are you?
'Well...
Huh? '
Do you know how long I've been searching for your honesty?
THAT kind of honesty?
Please...
Please,
Let me hear those comments again?
'No!
I'm not in the business of repeating.
Nor did I expect the flow of your sincerity.
OR the precision of your 'act'...either!
I am quite surprised myself.
Why? '
You can not make this more exciting.
AND...
You are stubborn too?
Why?
I don't know!
Why is the sky blue?
How do you like your eggs?
Scrambled with green pepper and onion, I bet?
With a side of homefries and baked Italian sausage?
'Yeah, I do!
How did you know that? '
You 'just' put the 'C' in chemistry for me.
And you have found yourself that lover!
'Oh...
And who said I was looking? '
The connected melting of our eyes.

The Rockin L & H
Nothing tastes nearly as good
As it does on the outside grill
Camping out in my childhood
I have sweet memories still
Beans slow cooked and smoky
Bacon and bar-b-q sauce within
Biscuits light and fluffy as well
Sharing food with friends and kin
Corn so sweet and delicious
Yet crunchy against your teeth
The smell of the smoke in the air
Of wonderful smoky pork or beef
There’s a place that you’ll truly enjoy
Where you’ll never want to eat in haste
Because the food is so delicious
It is called the Rockin L & H!

We Are the Results of Our Seductions
Dieting on erotic products,
Induces an hypnotic feeling started.
And like a narcotic,
We are quick to become hooked.
Baited with temptations...
Seasoned to fry,
Or baked like a fish cooked.
And this mainlining,
Done to us without the prick of needles.
Afflicted with addictions done...
Without the prick of needles.
Dieting to get a fix,
Without the prick of needles to assist it.
Baited with temptations...
Seasoned to fry,
Or baked like a fish cooked.
Hooked!
We are the results of our seductions.

On The Sunny Side Of The Street
Dorothy fields / jimmy mchugh
Grab your coat and get your hat
Leave your worry on the doorstep
Just direct your feet
To the sunny side of the street
Cant you hear a pitter-pat
And that happy tune is your step
Life can be so sweet
On the sunny side of the street
I used to walk in the shade
With those blues on parade
But now Im not afraid
This rover crossed over
If Id never have a cent
Id be rich as rockefeller
Going to set my feet
On the sunny side of the street

Full Breakfast
Fried bread, Lord, who's still not; been fed.
Not me a little voice said…
Who said that? A park duck!
Or some hard luck Indian fatherless kid.
Eggs and bacon, God, is there, no!
Red ketchup or bake beans,
Hey kid get-up off your soiled knees.
After collecting that plastic garbage
With an iron-hook in a cardboard box
Whilst your mothers out selling her body,
With some pox-up jocks
Hey can we have some grilled tomatoes,
And black pudding and mushrooms on the side.
I'll have a coffee over here! It's rainy outside.
Hey child - you'll soon be a bride!
A suitor for you, shouldn't be hard to find…?
Let's tip the waitress boys, she so looks suppressed
Depressed - but at least she's got a uniform
And a collection-fund and a counsel house
And at the weekend she's pissed and jocund.
Hell I could eat another pork sausage!
Latter we'll go to The Nags Head
And even later still play some cribbage
The wife at home she can wait at home alone.
I've got the waitress to phone.

My Succotash Is So Bad
My succotash is so bad!
It's the best you'll ever have.
My suc-co-co-co-co-co-co-co tash,
Is bad!
My succotash is so bad!
It's the best you'll ever have.
My suc-co-co-co-co-co-co-co tash,
Is bad!
Take a sauce pan.
And oil it with olive oil.
Not too much.
Add a half cup of water.
With some garlic to taste.
About a tablespoon of brown sugar.
~That's the key ingredient,
For my succotash tastin' so good! ~
Then...
A dash or two of salt and pepper.
I like the heat of cayenne!
How about you?
Simmer this with onion.
I like Vadalias.
Slice a couple of 'garden' tomatos.
Just one green pepper!
Cover this for about ten minutes.
I like my seasonings to get acquainted.
Now...
Take between three and five ears of corn.
Strip the kernels off the cob.
Add them to the mix.
Lower the heat a bit.
You will know when this is ready.
Trust me.
My succotash is so bad!
It's the best you'll ever have.
My suc-co-co-co-co-co-co-co tash,
Is bad!
My succotash is so bad!
It's the best you'll ever have.
My suc-co-co-co-co-co-co-co tash,
Is bad!
My suc-co-co-co-co-co-co-co tash,
Is bad!
Enjoy!

the Lord's blessing...~
