Ups And Downs
Each life has its ups and downs
and I always figured
my life had more downs than ups.
However, when I stopped to look at it,
I think the reverse may well apply.
There have been more up than downs.
I have a wonderful wife,
which has to be an up.
I have been blessed with three lovely children,
which has to be another up.
I have friends from every four corners of the world.
There is no denying that is an up.
When I tried to look at the downs,
I really couldn’t think of any.
Therefore, at this moment
I am one of the few
real lucky people
who have more ups than downs.

There are some things women should do,
As men simply cannot;
There are things that women can do,
But not as well as men.
There are some things women shouldn't do,
For they are harmful, sin;
There are many just women do,
Much better than most men.
Empow'r women and uplift them,
And make their plight better;
This half of human populace
If better, world's better.
Let poverty not strike women;
Remove their hunger pangs;
Give them all equal rights like men,
Save them from awful gangs.
Women are teachers naturally

Varying moods
Our moods swing
From one extreme of joy
To the other extreme of sorrow
With the environ changing
Colour and shade can change
Sound levels can change
Sound modulation may change
Temperature outside may change
Wind speed may change
Harshness of sun may change
The bright moon may go under cloud
The person you are interacting with may change
The words, tone and language
Of the person talking with you may change

what I see...
when i look in the mirror
what do i see?
see a young women trying to find the right path
a young women trying to do whats best for us
the daughter that was never planned but yet brought so much happiness.
u can tell the girl standing in front of the mirror has been through so much
so much it made her the person who she is today...
a strong hearted women who can get through anything if she put her all into it.
but behind that strong women, is a women who isn't as strong as she thought.

There Is The Mood Of A Poem For This Night
THERE IS THE MOOD OF A POEM FOR THIS NIGHT
There is the mood of a poem for this night
There is the mood of a love from long ago
That is forever lost-
There is a mood of a too rainy and too cold night
There is a mood of more inside than saying can mean-
There is a mood of many things-
And all these moods are not one mood
And yet in me now largely indescribable-
For there is a mood which takes the person away
Into a land of dreams and beyond
And another mood and another poem
Which simply stays where it is
In longing for itself-
So while I have many moods
And may write many poems of those moods
I know that there is no mood tonight
Which is the one and only one love
I would always have-
And no mood which can say again
All that a person may have when young
And never know again in old age-

Some Lives Are Destined To Be Wasted
it has become my habit lately
to sleep late at night
and wake up late
breakfast is forgotten
and lunch sometimes is set aside
lack of appetite
the absence of life
the blankets unfolded
the windows unopened
the darkness kept like a cold that does not leave me
like a flu
this fever that makes living inconvenient
yet providing all the reasons
for not being part of everything in the family
that i hate to relate with
i have broken drinking glasses
on clumsy hands
sleepy moods
ups and downs of my life
downs mostly
this desperation that keeps on staying
in my room
i turn off everything
i want mostly those associated with endings
a glass of milk
that my puppy drinks
hotdogs cold and greasy
i cannot eat them today
my polo shirt is ready
my pants well ironed
some calls from the office
on an emergency conference
i am sick i have aches all over my body
they say i need a doctor
or i need love i must have a lover
and change them as often as i change
