Moods For Moderns
Moods for moderns (x4)
I get hit looking for a miss
I never thought that it would come to this
Moods for moderns (x4)
Though we may never be the same again
I am so proud that youve been taken in vain
What if none of your dreams come true?
I can never run from you
Theres never been a how dyou do
Theres never been an ending
Soon youll belong to someone else
And I will be your stranger just pretending
Moods for moderns
Memory lingers
I let you into
Foreign fingers
Moods for moderns (x4)
I never thought that would see the day
I never thought that I would give you away
(chorus)
Moods for moderns
Let them break us
Strong and sudden
Foreign fingers

Mood Colours
At times, we describe our moods in colours
that pass by our eyes each day.
There are our blue moods,
those when we are down.
Then there are our red moods
whenever our temper flares.
Our black moods are colourless
and the most dangerous of them all.
Our sunshine moods are when the world is golden
and smiles are all we see.
Pink shades our loving moods
and to the world, we show we care
as our love shines through.
Our moods can change quickly
as we pass through the rainbow spectrum
within our daily lives.

Me & I
Sometimes when Im mad
Theres a part of me that seems to be a little sad
Sometimes when I scream
Theres a voice in me that says, you shouldnt be so mean
Oh no, oh no
Part of me is acting while the other stands beside
Yes, I am to myself what jekyll must have been to hyde
Were like sun and rainy weather
Sometimes were a hit together
Me and i
Gloomy moods and inspiration
Were a funny combination
Me and i
I dont think Im different or in any way unique
Think about yourself for a minute
And youll find the answer in it
Everyones a freak
Sometimes I have toyed
With ideas that I got from good old dr. freud
Nothing new of course
It may seem to you I try to break through open doors
Oh no, oh no
I just wanna say a lot of that applies to me
cause its an explanation to my split identity
Were like sun and rainy weather
Sometimes were a hit together
Me and i
Gloomy moods and inspiration
Were a funny combination
Me and i
I dont think Im different or in any way unique
Think about yourself for a minute
And youll find the answer in it
Everyones a freak
Me and i...
Were like sun and rainy weather
Sometimes were a hit together
Me and i
Gloomy moods and inspiration
Were a funny combination
Me and i
I dont think Im different or in any way unique
Think about yourself for a minute
And youll find the answer in it

There For You
When it all went down
And the pain came through
I get it now
I was there for you
Dont ask me how
I know its true
I get it now
I was there for you
I make my plans
Like I always do
But when I look back
I was there for you
I walk the streets
Like I used to do
And I freeze with fear
But Im there for you
I see my life
In full review
It was never me
It was always you
You sent me here
You sent me there
Breaking things
I cant repair
Making objects
Out of thoughts
Making more
By thinking not
Eating food
And drinking wine
A body that
I thought was mine
Dressed as Arab
Dressed as Jew
O mask of iron
I was there for you
Moods of glory
Moods so foul
The world comes through
A bloody towel
And death is old
But its always new
I freeze with fear
And Im there for you
I see it clear
I always knew
It was never me
I was there for you
I was there for you
My darling one
And by your law
It all was done

Dark The Moods
Dark the moods.
Dark too those attitudes.
The ones that 'use' to visit and annoy,
When I felt quite defeated.
Dark the moods.
Dark too those attitudes.
I could not rid or alone leave.
On me they fed as if a feast to feed.
I had to freeze all emotions,
Shown and worn on my sleeve.
They were too easily revealed.
Too easily perceived.
I had to pick myself up,
Off my knees.
There was a comfort in it,
With a welcome of a hopelessness that pleased.
Dark the moods.
Dark too those attitudes.
I could not rid or alone leave.
On me they fed as if a feast to feed.
Dark the moods.
Dark too those attitudes.
The ones that 'use' to visit and annoy,
When I felt quite defeated.
I had to freeze all emotions worn on my sleeve.
Dark the moods.
Dark too those attitudes.
I had to pick myself up off my knees.
Dark the moods.
Dark too those attitudes.
They 'use' to visit me when I...
They 'use' to visit me when I...
They 'use' to visit me when I felt,
Quite DEFEATED!

Varying moods
Varying moods
Our moods swing
From one extreme of joy
To the other extreme of sorrow
With the environ changing
Colour and shade can change
Sound levels can change
Sound modulation may change
Temperature outside may change
Wind speed may change
Harshness of sun may change
The bright moon may go under cloud
The person you are interacting with may change
The words, tone and language
Of the person talking with you may change
The news you heard may have an unexpected change
And many, many things keep changing
Each change or the combination of the changes
Trigger a mood variance
Closely examine
Moods vary not
Because of the changes outside
But because of your perception
Of the changes
You perceive that the change outside
Can have an impact on you
In your favour or otherwise
So, you start reacting accordingly
Effecting a mood change
Perceive objectively
Regardless of its impact on you
Act appropriately
Keeping your cool and
Effectively guarding against the
Varying moods

There Is The Mood Of A Poem For This Night
THERE IS THE MOOD OF A POEM FOR THIS NIGHT
There is the mood of a poem for this night
There is the mood of a love from long ago
That is forever lost-
There is a mood of a too rainy and too cold night
There is a mood of more inside than saying can mean-
There is a mood of many things-
And all these moods are not one mood
And yet in me now largely indescribable-
For there is a mood which takes the person away
Into a land of dreams and beyond
And another mood and another poem
Which simply stays where it is
In longing for itself-
So while I have many moods
And may write many poems of those moods
I know that there is no mood tonight
Which is the one and only one love
I would always have-
And no mood which can say again
All that a person may have when young
And never know again in old age-
There is a mood of being forever sad and forever regretful-
But considering how much Beauty life has
And how many different ways there are of finding it
I will listen to the music of the light tonight
And hear the poetry of many great souls
And in a mood of joy
Quietly go to rest
As if happiness really were the mood beyond and within everything.

Who Can Tell All The Moods Of A Single Life And Love?
WHO CAN TELL ALL THE MOODS OF A SINGLE LIFE?
Who can tell all the moods of a single life and love?
Much less of two together?
Who can explain the lonelinesses and the distances
Two can feel with each other?
Or the tendernesses and intimacies
One may know while the other is somewhere else?
Who can explain all the intricacies of anger and pain and joy
When they mix in sudden strange ways?
Our lives are mysteries to us-
So too our relations with those we love-
In all their Beauty there is still something we cannot find and make our own –
Love is a deep thing perhaps the deepest
But too with it there may remain questions-
Why oh holy and close now and why in a second some other distance we never dreamed and are forced against our wish and will to feel?

Open a Book
To unfurl the articles of a book
I read fashionably the one I partook.
Craving on the combinations like flowers
Sing aside each other, I gathered powers.
Form a scholarly mind in the bottom of the soul,
To force this is pleasant like the casserole.
You cook a book in suns and moons
That split up and become cartoons.
Moods eject some moods to assist
And are embittered by the checklist.
Instead, open a book by the pages of a book
To mean something or a fact or a look.

Daring To Be Self Righteous
Wouldn't it be great,
If our moods and values...
Had standards that were consistent?
And we weren't judging the depth taken,
Of someone's moral fiber dipped in decadence.
From a point of view that criticizes,
While we live our own hypocritical lives...
Daring to be self righteous,
As we all continue to patronize the height of sleaze.
And doing our best to climb that ladder with ease.
With a feeling to be entitled.
Wouldn't it be great,
If our moods and values...
Had standards that were consistent?
Although when publicized publicly...
There is a need instantly to defend a discipline,
That does not exist.
And when someone admits to us what we can kiss,
Immediately we become appalled.
With a wish to censor the innocence of 'children'...
Who are directly marketed to be as filthy as possible,
With the consent of all claiming to be 'trendy' and progressive.
Wouldn't it be great,
If our moods and values...
Had standards that were consistent?
And there was a benefit to our pretentions,
That were not so obviously seen cracking at the seams.
And our motives were not so obviously confused,
With a making of sense that today is nonexistent.

Looking For Stones
He is in a forlorn setting, the gender of the place
Is unknown, as a gemstone is situated in it.
He is a glutton for excessive moods,
The moods are foreshown by the surroundings.
The stones became glutinous to the soul,
With the use of hackneyed phrases.
One day he was feeling glum,
The other day, the next day, he was a heap of bad luck.
Then it was hair care, not the massage of precious stones,
But the minatory speech of his hunters
Ready to see him from the minarets.
He was an antithesis to a peaceful setting,
Affected by a communal gathering in the past
That convened in a corridor.

There's no stopping true love
for what might you do
to stop true love?
say death,
and I would prove you wrong!

Fire and Ice Nature
Day and night poles apart flaming flame
Moods of the contrast to carry here on
Flowing their times until they are done
Something of feral for life to tame
Sunshine brings day but moon gleams the twilight
The moods to the dreams and fun at the sea
Everything's turning epoch's to be
Glowing of evenings and stars in bright
Icily cold till spring is green and tanned
With precious small flowers some blue and red
And golden sunshine from pure azure sky
Each wave from deep oceans on black beach sand
Weaving erosion to wilderness bed
To this fire and ice nature I can't say goodbye
