Life and human society are the chief concern of Confucianism and, through it, the chief concern of the Chinese people.

Concern for man himself and his fate must always form the chief interest of all technical endeavors, concern for the great unsolved problems of the organization of labor and the distribution of goods--in order that the creations of our mind shall be a blessing and not a curse to mankind. Never forget this in the midst of your diagrams and equations.

Why Is The House Burning Down?
Why is the house burning down?
Do you care to repeat that?
'Sure.
No problem.
When the fire chief arrived,
The occupants assumed he was not qualified.
Based upon his
Well,
The obvious.
So,
They said they would wait
Until a new chief is appointed.'
Wait for what?
The house is ruined
Totally destroyed
What 'new' chief?
He 'is' the chief
'Sir?
If you wish to
'Approach' them with that explanation
Perhaps you can convince them of that
The told me, the others 'and' the chief
They were entitled to have their expectations met.
And
If they have to stand there for the rest of their lives
They will do it.'

Manners count
It is your dress, cleanliness and manner,
Not your skin, countenance, and glamour,
That earns you a woman’s concern.
Your clean mind, clean teeth, clean habit,
Not your muscles, jewels and wallet
Are which earn you a woman’s concern.
Be your manner and calls above her reproach.
Refrain from over care and over indulgence.
Then you will have earned a woman’s concern.
You lend her your ear and not eye.
You tend her passion, not her lust.
You will have won her concern.
If you have no concern for women,
If you have no woman’s concern,
Then no use of you being born.

For survivability
Hunters have no concern
For the forest they hunt from.
Farmers have much concern
For the field they plough in.
Treat the society as farm land.

To get concern
I like that I am poor,
That’d fetch me others’ concern.
I like that I fall ill,
That’d earn me others’ concern.
I like that I am aged,
That’d grant me others’ concern.
Such occasions failing,
I’d pretend like those.

No Exceptions Made
And now...
The clean up!
Like none ever done.
Some will not be in it for the healing of it!
Many will sit in bitterness.
In divisions that they are accustomed.
They will not accept,
A participation without choice.
There is a clean up that is going to be done!
By everyone.
There will be no exceptions made!
All of those you see,
Looking from the windows,
Inside the house?
If they wish to eat and sleep in comfort...
They will work the fields,
And yield to discipline!
They, them, those and others...
Will sweep the dirt,
Everyone let collect.
'This' will become your reality!
'He will never be 'my' president! '
I doubt if that is a concern of his.
He prefers the title...
Chief Delegator!
What is his concern...?
Everyone will do their chores!
Complete assignments.
And 'earn' their right to complain.
Including you!
You see those obstacles?
Those hurdles to be jumped?
Those problems to be solved!
They are tremendous.
Embrace them!
Consider them yours!
The best way to get familiar...
I suggest?
Less protest.
This is the 'change' you can believe in!

One handles truths like dynamite. Literature is one vast hypocrisy, a giant deception, treachery. All writers have concealed more than they revealed. But paradoxically, we create fiction out of human concern for the victims of the revelations. This concern is at the root of literature.

Shanty
Hey, wait a minute.
You didnt tell me.
I fell into a place
I didnt wanna go.
It doesnt matter.
I swear
Ill never go through another of those things
In my life.
You should have warned me of all the dangers.
But maybe there were some things you just didnt know.
But youre my father,
And surely fathers ought to know about most things
In this life.
Dont tell me.
I thought you were the best.
You were only human
And a lot like all the rest.
Like me you were fragile.
Not secure
With the fast tide of life
That would speed past your door.
Chorus (mourners)
Father, father, father.
Boys and chorus
Toti mundo nati.
Chorus
Father.
(ah)
Shanty
I forgive you,
Will you forgive me?
Chief mourner
You will be there.
Chief mourner and chorus
And your spirit will keep us moving
In the right direction.

My Chief
My chief has hindered me by the way,
Open me in my heart, follow me and you.
Lie on the side of goodness, gauntlets
Are held for the nights and days to count.
My terms concern me as I weep, tears flow,
Internal wishes are heard by the mind
To flow onto our rights, the lights
Too blowing on the sight of our eyes.

King's Denial
A job so unsteady.
A kid just trying to make it on his own.
The bills pile up.
The desperate get even more desperate.
For some it seems as if their will be no relief.
The commander and chief speaks with a such a smile.
Is he in denial?
Or does he not care what happens right underneath feet?
It is his command.
It is his watch.
So he saysss
The man has no clue.
A puppet with a mouth piece.
Keep telling them what they want to here.
Ease their concern.
For you'll never be able to ease their suffering.
His intentions have been blurred.
People know and are in a stir.
They thought of him as their friend.
Now he turns his back.
Now he walks away.
A parade of nothing but failure and discontent.
Promises were made.
People lives were at stake.
Robbed of all their dignity.
The prisons are already full.
We can't afford any more.
Where oh where are gonna put all these people.
Like refugees they walk the street.
They are hungry.
They are just looking for something to eat.
In the soup kitchens their is not enough go around.
One dinner then on your way.
The doors then close.
I'm sorry we ran out, not today.
A burning sensation in the stomach.
The kind of hate that decimates the human soul.
Do you really blame them for losing their cool?
