Books aren't written - they're rewritten. Including your own. It is one of the hardest things to accept, especially after the seventh rewrite hasn't quite done it.

I Will Over Come, With Adversity In Full Swing

I will overcome.
With adversity in full swing
I will rewrite it all.
Including who I am.
Destroying the victim
Becoming the savior.
There is just no victim here
Never again.

Listen to me a I scream.
My lungs are exploding.
No more mere whispers.
No more falling on deaf ears.
Killing every once of doubt.
Dedication with greatest sensation.
A fabulous celebration.

I will overcome.
With adversity in full swing
I will rewrite it all.
Including who I am.
Destroying the victim
Becoming the savior.
There is just no victim here
Never again.

My soul burns as never before
This is my new heaven
This is my new hell.
And all I want is more.
An undying hunger as the clock strikes eleven
This is no longer my dirty dusty old shell.

I will overcome.
With adversity in full swing
I will rewrite it all.
Including who I am.
Destroying the victim
Becoming the savior.
There is just no victim here
Never again.

I'm no longer a man in hiding
I am a man now confiding
With every secret we go deeper
The mountain is now getting steeper
So I tie my boot
And I ready my rifle to shoot

I will overcome.
With adversity in full swing
I will rewrite it all.
Including who I am.
Destroying the victim
Becoming the savior.
There is just no victim here
Never again.

My dreams are in my sights
My passage with spiritual rites
Bound to nothing and no one
Oh the possibilities that have come
Everyone looks better then the next.
I am attacking another T-Rex.

I will overcome.
With adversity in full swing
I will rewrite it all.
Including who I am.
Destroying the victim
Becoming the savior.
There is just no victim here
Never again.

Open Book's Monologue Part 4 Bookkeeping

Regular written books or a regular written novel
Could sell
But each copy would essentially be the same
And the words stagnant, unable to change, in a sense lame
Because they cannot move or rearrange
They just never change

But I guess even though I'm an open book that's where we differ
My words do change, and my past is rewritten
When my memories become hazy or hidden
Suddenly I've changed my past, said something different to her
Or him, or supposedly done an action that never did occur.
When witnesses balk and there is no vindication
Nor affirmation
It's hard to keep my memories truthfully
Call me a liar for changing them, but that's me

Bookkeeping is near impossible
Because rewriting my beginnings is possible
It's hard to remember what's fact or fiction
When this novel is just a fantastical rendition
Of what I think my life is or thought my life was
Not what it really is or really was
I think it's because
Those unhappy memories of the past ought
Just to be forgot
So I choose (o so subconsciously) to rewrite them
Only to find they've made my destiny
They've made me- me

It's funny that I write of bookkeeping
And changing the beginning of the book
When I feel so strongly
That such things are impossible for me
So in a sense this poem is a contradiction
But then maybe my changes are just my perception
Of my story because I cannot look back
So I guess I'm wrong... future and past are stained in black
Because as a book I could change what I think
Maybe even float not sink
But that's just my perception, because my story
Is actually
The Immutable tragedy
The tragedy of me
And past... present... future
They won't endure
One day pages will crumble to dust

But I think... I'll go first... Actually I think.... I think...
I must.

Seventh Son

Everybodys talking bout a seventh son,
In the whole round world theres only one
Im the one,
Yes, Im the one,
Im the one, Im the one,
The one they call the seventh son.
I can tell your future, it will come to pass,
I can do things for you; make your heart feel glad,
Look in the sky, predict the rain,
I can tell when a womans got another man
Im the one,
Yes, Im the one,
Im the one, Im the one,
The one they call the seventh son
I can hold you close, I can squeeze you tight,
Make you cry for me both day and night,
Heal the sick and raise the dead,
Make little girls talk out of their heads.
Im the one,
Yes, Im the one,
Im the one, Im the one,
The one they call the seventh son
I can talk these words that sound so sweet,
Even make your little heart skip a beat,
I can heal the sick and raise the dead,
Make little girls talk out of their heads
Im the one,
Yes, Im the one,
Im the one, Im the one,
The one they call the seventh son
Im the one x 6
The one they call the seventh son
Im the one
Im the one
The one they call the seventh son.

I'm April the seventh

it's April the seventh
and I'm April the seventh
with drops of rain beating my heart away
with drops of wine dried in my mouth
and tango I've just danced

it's April the seventh
and I'm April the seventh
sitting in the dark room
after a head over heal night
and the tango I've just danced

it's April the seventh
I'm April the seventh
Lazarus's Saturday and children's bells
all tinkling across my street
all tinkling across my heart

it's April the seventh
and I'm April the seventh
with a scarf around my neck
and high heels on my feet
and the tango I've just danced

it's April the seventh
and I'm April the seventh
with a book I'm about to read
a cigarette I am about to smoke
and the tango I've just danced

it's April the seventh
I'm April the seventh
Lazarus's Saturday and children's bells
all tinkling across my street
all tinkling across my heart

it's April the seventh
and I'm April the seventh
with a kiss left on my left hand
feet shuffling all along the floor
and the tango I've just danced
all tinkling across my heart

Seventh Heaven

Ive been to places where the sun goes down
Each day and never rises
Ive been to places in a dark room
Where we played with our disguises
Heaven, Im in heaven
Im in seventh heaven now
Seventh heaven
It was a dream, I heard a voice
I put it down to wishful thinking
It was a dream, a silent scream
Out of the blue, a new beginning
Heaven, Im in heaven
Im in seventh heaven now
Seventh heaven
And then I fell upon a stroke of luck
That led to my good fortune
And then I fell upon my knees
And gently kissed the ground you walk on
Heaven, Im in heaven
Im in seventh heaven now
Seventh heaven

Albert Einstein

The human mind is not capable of grasping the Universe. We are like a little child entering a huge library. The walls are covered to the ceilings with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written these books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books - a mysterious order which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects.

The top of the hill and the bottom of the ocean

The top of the hill in our heart
The bottom of the ocean in our mind
Refuses to give in to the acceptance of
Self immolation and give up emulation.
It is for this we get the responsibility
To spread the books of morality of the supreme
Through out the world among the whole communities
While others expressed their handicapped inability
Including the sun, the moon and the expanding stars
It is the top of the hill and the bottom of the ocean
Makes and creates chasm which is one another's problem
Some times even creates a block to accept the supreme
It is the round off the things, the top negates the hill
And the bottom refuges to carry the ocean.

In' Sane

Shouldn't there be a joy and satisfaction
One gets
For being declared 'in' sane?
After all,
Those that are 'out' of it,
Aren't 'in' it at all!
And those who choose just to be 'sane'...
Should they be suspect?
Things aren't as crazy as they are
Because they've spent time in their minds!
Now...
I can accept those labelled
To be 'out-of-their-minds'!
It makes it more official.
And at least they can be held accountable.
The ones still undeclared are the most baffling!
They disguise themselves,
With titles deemed 'professional'.
And they are the ones responsible...
For all of the 'professional' havoc,
That we have been experiencing for decades!

Rewrite

You know, there are these dreary days,

When a melancholic mood holds me in its sway,

Probably something we get as we age, hey?

-

In this twilight hours, we forget tomorrow,

And look back at the days, weeks, and years of long ago.

Look back, and utter a flat, "Oh."

-

Oh, all those things I could've done better or changed.

The walls I could have torn down, a few more broken chains,

Little and big things, everywhere, we wish we could change.

-

If only there was a life remote, press rewind,

Go back, and then our history rewrite.

Rewind and rewrite, our actions of those fateful days and nights.
