Sweet Perfume

A rose arose with rosy hue,
And made my torn heart, so sparkling new,
A rose arose as roses do,
And warmth for its guise within me grew.

A rose arose with beauty bright,
And gladdened my heart with such delight,
A rose arose as roses might,
And set out great charm before my sight.

A rose arose with summertime,
And imbued my heart with songs sublime,
A rose arose as roses climb,
And showed itself in all its prime.

A rose arose inside the room,
And lifted my heart so full of gloom,
A rose arose as roses bloom,
And fused the air with its sweet perfume.

What A Rose Can Say

A rose can say I love you and want you to be mine,
A rose can say I thank you for being so very kind,
A rose can say congratulations, whatever the occasion may be,
A rose can say I miss you and wish you were here with me,
A rose can say I'm sorry if I've hurt you in any way,
A rose can say get well soon, May God bless you today,
A rose can say I wish you happiness, and the best for you each day.
A rose can say farewel when someone goes away,
A rose can say hello, I'm thinking of you today,
There's just so many wonderful things that a rose can say,
A rose can say goodbye when a love one is laid to rest,
No matter what there is to say, a rose can say it best.

Abraham Lincoln

The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew.

Withered Rose

A rose I used to hold so dearly
cherishing it where ever I see
but why didn't I see it clearly?
How soon the rose did bloom

A rose I grew on such occasion
and gave it to her
As beautiful as any painting
she accepted it without hesitation

A rose that was blossoming
do you want to reminisce with me?
I nourished this rose every day
but it was too much for her to see

A rose that was slowly dying
but I ran out of water
I can't seem to get it off the ground
is this how it will decay?

A rose that turned black
just like the ground beneath it
Withered and torn
forever in the hole it deserves

On Playing With Sand

Yesterday,
An amendment was made,
Men and women danced,
Goblets stroke in the hall,
To celebrate
An occasion of success.

Today,
The same amendment
Has been undone,
Men and women have danced,
Goblets have stroke in the hall,
To celebrate
An occasion of success.

Tomorrow,
Again the amendment will be made,
Men and women will dance,
Goblets will strike in the hall,
To celebrate
An occasion of success.

This is how our government goes on,
By doing and undoing amendments,
Like children who play on sand,
Make houses, stupas, towers and tombs,
And smash them with kicks,
To make them afresh,
But the difference is they do not celebrate,
An occasion of success.

Start living now. Stop saving the good china for that special occasion. Stop withholding your love until that special person materializes. Every day you are alive is a special occasion. Every minute, every breath, is a gift from God.

Never The Agony

Agitate me not, agonize me never,
Such is the speed of thinking.
Aloud are words of quite a little thought,
The mind differs from occasion to occasion.
This offering is a proud notion
Of the variety we pick like flowers.
The motion of the plants is of the butterfly,
Those in orbit around the world know why.
Their polite quiet is discernable and crazy,
Loathsome is the spirit of walking
In the fashion of a zealot, so speedy
In thinking and so outrageous a personality.
We are not overwhelmed by zealotry
For we speak too many times against them.

Exotic Club

I spend most of my time alone,
Moping around listening to music,
Depressed and brooding,
It is a garment
I’ve grown rather comfortable in.
A friend will on occasion
Drag me out of the house,
Presumably for my own good.

On such an occasion,
A friend persuaded me
Into visiting an exotic club.
I had a beer or two
And closely watched
The lovely movements of the girls.
They were beautiful,
But I mostly felt sad,
I hoped they didn’t hate me
For looking at them all creepy-like.

I then went home
And had another beer
And looked at my old cat;
I was still rather sad but comfortable.

Spineless And Mentally Digressive

Oh I can be quite snide,
If that occasion should arise.
I can sling mud with the best...
If I am challenged to pass that test.

I can also be loving and kind,
With the giving of the shirt off my back.
And those who are aware of that,
Aren't so willing to initate on me their attacks.

Oh I can be quite snide,
If that occasion should arise.
I can sling mud with the best...
If I am challenged to pass that test.

But why should I...
Use that as a weapon,
To defy those who are clearly...
Spineless and mentally digressive.

Cup Of Tea

A cup of tea
A sudden pause
A polite social occasion with the 'best china'
A big white mug with workmans handle to grip
A cup of tea
Some slurp, some sip
A social class of darjeelings and Yorkshire tea
A cup of tea, a mug or flask
Divides the 'workers', from the 'upper class'
Drunk in the morning or precisely at three,
A cup of tea
The soloution when a problem comes,
Lets pause, while someone 'puts the kettle on! '
A cup of tea for every occasion
Marriage, births and deaths,
A cup of tea
A pure nirvana
A simple joy
Eternal happiness!

One more rose

One more rose in our family
We all remained awake wearily
It was expected at any time
The child’s cry made clock to tick that time

We all noted arrival from heaven
The prophesy from elders was proven
It is good omen and sign in the family
Everybody must rejoice and accept it happily

Many people die childless with so much to their regret
It is blessing from heaven so not to be taken as bad luck or fate
Not all people may be that much lucky or have it with choice
So early morning cry from child was heard like cuckoo’s voice

“I will be called grandpa” how much joy it generated
Gave enough of joy and occasion was certainly to be celebrated
My feet were taking unusual steps to spread news
Though it was known to family members and to others very few

Family is like garden with all the members as beautiful flowers
Everybody takes you very seriously with respect as followers
So it becomes duty of family head to celebrate arrival as grand occasion
Throw gorgeous party and make it known to all about addition

It is unique as well routine too for all of us
Life is built and enjoyed around with trust
One life is leaving behind for other to enter
The mother earth is heavenly place or center

Life is never ending mission
To stay permanently or leave behind is not our decision
We all know about the temporary refuge here
Leave without any notice take heavenly flight to reach there

I know that it will be moment of little happiness
But it gives moment of joy amidst lots of stress
Everybody forgets pain and sorrow for few seconds
As it is graceful occasion and certainly demands (celebration)

Domestic Shades 7

Sumangali Prarthanai: -

An occasion auspicious with elysian reverence
Grand-ma descended from her heavenly residence
Decades two ago was grand-ma's demise
Wished by her folks here to arise
She came now on to her life- place
Soulfully visited down to grace

Seated comfortably her photo on smiles
Lit lamps glittered on both sides
Incense smoking fragrantly into her nose
Big bindi made her majestic to pose
Garlanded with jasmine and rose
Newly dressed grand-ma there arose

Sumangalis dead to be commemorated
Sumangalis alive were feasted
Grand gastronomy for those sumangalis
With gifts of turmeric, kumkum, and flowers
Me seated there, already in shivers..
Quick as lightning after some minutes
Zap! grand-ma transited elsewhere to possess
Lady next to me fell on jigging tosses
In an abysm of fear I screamed amma.......

Tribute To Princess Diana

Blessed Diana, thrilling phrases of love would make a paragraph,
for your much distinguished and magnificent epitaph.
Your slumber to eternity be likened to a sleeping beauty,
who will be awakened by the kiss of a Seraphic prince of immortality.
For a wedding in the heavenly realms forever shall be
an occasion for the heavens and earth to jointly see.
The hierarchy of heaven to grace the occasion,
inhabitants of the earth beneath to magnify its celebration,
the stars and other luminous bodies give a vivid expression
of the wedding of a goddess of the hunt, as a lasting impression.
Immortal Princess, forever an epitome of honour,
may your gentle and passionate soul dwell in heavenly splendour.

Death Angels

I was sleeping in my heart,
And intoxicated was my being;
Then the self rose to the occasion,
For death alerted me to the angels around.

I committed circles, and dragged my soul
From their hands,
To weep spiritually
And collapse resurrected.

I wept loudly, forever in peace,
Like a bridge of distinction
Had been crossed
By my very heart and soul.

They have taken my soul.
