Well, one of them is annual assessment in grades 3-8. It's integral to the implementation of everything.

In Connecticut, my understanding, although I haven't seen the actual litigation, is that they want to measure every other year and not provide annual assessment as is required in the statute.

I Am In Total Agreement With Your Assessment
I am in total agreement with your assessment.
It is difficult to live with limited funds.
Budgeting to pay for shelter, food and utilities.
I am in total agreement with your assessment.
It is difficult to witness others live being deprived.
While their lives are being ignored.
And/or exploited in a hussle to keep them needy.
I am in total agreement with your assessment.
So many now are forced to descend from high horses.
And getting a taste for the first time,
How life is lived without good credit scores.
Or multiple opportunities coming to knock at their doors.
I am in total agreement with your assessment.
Very few are not so quick to pass judgement these days.
And knowing from my own experience...
How to remove myself from someone stunned.
Learning they too have become shunned and 'thumbed'
By the very same ones they supported,
At the expense of their own inhumanity.
I am in total agreement with your assessment.
But do not believe,
I am here empathetic and prepared to embrace your pain.
I've already been numbed by your reaction to mine.
I see nothing in that to aid my benefit with gain.
Like I said...
I am in total agreement with your assessment.
It is so vivid.
As if I'm still living it with too much acceptance.

You know, I went to Oberlin. At that time, grades were - you elected to have them or not. It was all of that era where grades were out the window. But I did very well in school. I didn't really study the arts; I practiced the arts.

Libidinal Energies
Potential is as essential as implementation.
It is best when effective.
And experienced when used.
However...
When potental is never realized,
Implementation becomes another fixation.
As if libidinal energies kept at a fever pitch,
With other wishes determined to manifest.
That are eagerly expressed but eventually dismissed.
Until the memory of having it fades and disappears.
To leave discussions about potential,
No one gets or experiences the power of it!

I Didn't Express That Assessment
I will never find you trustworthy.
'Why?
Because I have the right to change my mind,
When I decide?
And I am not concrete in any decision I make,
To declare I've made one to keep?
And I have never did anything to prove I have integrity? '
That's my feeling about you exactly.
'Well...
Everyone has a right to express their own opinion.
Even though I may not agree to that assessment,
You have of me.'
Remember...
I didn't express that assessment.
You just made it easier not to argue with you.

Sulphur And Brimstone (Revised)
Once I'd mastered cut and paste by cheerfully
bouncing up and down, I transferred my Work
Plan to the assessment instrument making it
sing like a violin, though sadly, an ominous
contrabass creating the song of ‘Rating 3 -
Competent' seldom needing to be asked about
progress of tasks while showing commitment
I am an accomplished advisor ready to guide
anxious colleagues through the disastrous
minefield of Self Assessment, recognized as
inspirational after confessing I worked with
a blinding headache and suffered self-
immolation to get through a never-ending
avalanche of self-referencing questions
I feel justified; my being means something
I help others through pitfalls that threatened
me as I braved brambles of confusion, arriving
in calm waters of Assessment Duly Completed
and handed to HR - the Section spawned in
Hell suffering us the sulphur and brimstone
of self-evaluation!

Until the door opened
We seemed like the perfect family
mommy had a job daddy had a job
i was getting good grades
kids were doing good
but behind closed doors the real us happeened
mummy and daddy yelled at eachother i was hurting in ways i couldn't explain.
UNTIL the door opened daddy walked out as if the wind blew him out
mummy was hurting emotionally and spiritually
i got bad grades and most of all i lost faith in god
Until jesus spoke to us as a family
daddys still gone but were stronger as the family thats left.

The future I choose
My grades are something I take pride in. Like a religion I must follow.
They have to stay as high as possible. A's are what I want like a child
asking for ice cream. My GPA is the lightbof my life, the reason for my
hard working persistance. It means everything to me. It's what will
determine my future. The future I deserve, the future I desire. As I strive
and climb the trail of life it follows me through day and night. I can't get
rid of them no matter what. I want people to know me because of them,
like a infamous football player, someone to remember. Someone to look
up to, someone to respect. My grades determine my future of how people
partake me. This is the future I choose for it's my future to partake in.

Cost-benefit analysis
Any government economic project
Should involve cost-benefit analysis
Before implementation.
Calculation of cost must involve
Market survey cost, establishment cost, labor cost
Production cost, marketing cost and so forth.
Calculation of benefit must include
Financial benefit, social benefit
Political benefit and so on.
The governments should take into account
Whether there is skilled manpower
In the country to run the project or not?
They should also consider
The possibility of change
Of technology to be used
In near future in other countries.
Thus the viability of the project
Can be justified before implementation
In order to avoid wastage of money and time.

Where they belonged
When I was in metric
(now grade twelve)
in the agricultural science class
an English girl took a chair
next to me
who had a secret crush
without getting
any attention from me.
I just wasn’t taken with her
and she was a little brash
and they lived
on the other side
of the railway tracks
and she had a reputation
of sleeping around.
When we studied
animal copulation
she acted as if
she didn’t really understand
and asked me some questions
which made me blush
and it was clear
that she had other plans instead.
Ignoring her didn’t help much
and heart broken she went to cry
on her sister’s shoulder
who was my class teacher
and taught me English
at the time.
We did an IQ test
(the first in my years at school)
and I scored only too well
and without really knowing
my personal circumstances
the teacher told the class
that I was lazy,
but much more than that
she marked my English grades down.
I didn’t know what had got into her
and in the second quarter
like a angel from heaven
a female inspector
(specializing in English)
visited the school.
She couldn’t understand
why my marks had slipped so much
and we had a very nice chat
where she demanded
all my English books and tests.
She graded everything again,
my grades took a hike,
the teacher was called in
and almost did the same
and after that
my grades were where
they belonged.

Giving Up Life
Every year when we do Assessment with a
custom-made Assessment Instrument and I
have to explain why I have not changed into
a machine as yet
When I have to hide my fear of turning into a
robot and secretly rejoice that I have not lost
my feelings as yet - and everybody despises
me as a low achiever
And I receive a low mark for not being competent,
at all - I go through agony, I would LOVE to fit in -
would LOVE to turn into a machine if it could bring
me a feeling of safety
But I cannot kill my soul, stifle my spirit and destroy
my feelings, I don't know how to rejoice at the pros-
pect of killing myself, while I abhor being the most
lowly official alive
I live with the shame because I cannot disown my
inner self, I suspect giving up life is not my decision,
I have tried it before and it never worked - I'm stuck
with being me…

Smelling Salts
Why do the people with the least intelligence,
Get the most attention?
This is a trick question,
Isn't it?
Are you filming a 'Reality Show'?
Where are the cameras?
'There are not cameras,
I am serious.
Why do you think,
Those of intelligence are the least admired?
And they may be highly qualified too.
But they seem the last to be hired.'
Well...
Let's agree on this.
Look around you.
How much of what 'you' observe,
Is a result of displaying collective competence?
'Can you be more specific? '
I'll try.
But I don't want to blow my cover.
Being considered a fool has gotten me by.
However...
I will offer this as an hypothesis.
'Sure, go ahead.'
If you were in business,
Of selling a commodity or a message.
And you were doing that,
For the purposes of earning money?
Would you just choose to sell to those of intelligence?
Or...
Would you care less who had the money?
As long as your needs were met and addressed?
'But that would not lead to a fair assessment.'
A 'fair' what?
ASSESSMENT?
Here.
Take this. It's free.
And on me.
However...
If for any reason you decide you would like to franchise?
I'll have to charge you a franchise fee.
'What is this? '
Smelling salts!
And trust me...
You have just proven there is a fortune to be made,
In the selling of it.
