Of this they drank half a pint every day, and sometimes more or less, as it operated, by way of gentle physic. Two others had each two oranges and one lemon given them every day. These they ate with greediness, at different times, upon an empty stomach.

Outside

They took away
my money and bag
took away my
house and land
lay me on the sand.

I am here
near ganga
and in empty stomach.
I am here
near mahodadhi
and in empty stomach.
I am here
looking Nilachakra
alldays always
in empty stomach.

They snatch away
may language
They thrown me out
from the sky
they are my nearby.

who is there
outside my house
where is my earth
where is my worth.

Outside Of The OK Corral

This shoot 'em up bang bang business,
Doesn't sit too well with me.
What's happening outside of the OK Corral,
Isn't my cup of tea...
Even if I drank it.
With lemon and three teaspoonsful of sugar.

A lot today has gotten out of hand.
Too many people have sat,
While ignorance took command.
And when in Rome...
You know what is said about that?
Arm yourself with a weapon!
Even if it's a baseball bat.

That might not have exactly been said,
About Rome.
But neither am I Scottish.
And I am tired of hearing bagpipes played,
At some young child's funeral...
That drank scotch and knew nothing about church.

This shoot 'em up bang bang business,
Doesn't sit too well with me.
What's happening outside of the OK Corral,
Isn't my cup of tea...
Even if I drank it.
With lemon and three teaspoonsful of sugar.
Who approved these activities in the first place?

Saturday Paseo: Adelina

Oranges
do not grow in the sea
neither is there love in Sevilla.
You in Dark and the I the sun that's hot,
loan me your parasol.

I'll wear my jealous reflection,
juice of lemon and lime-
and your words,
your sinful little words-
will swim around awhile.

Oranges
do not grow in the sea,
Ay, love!
And there is no love in Sevilla!

(We Have) No Secrets

We have no secrets
We tell each other everything
About the lovers in our past
And why they didn't last
We share a cast of characters from
A to Z
We know each other's fantasies
And though we know each other better
when we explore
Sometimes I wish
Often I wish
That I never knew some of those
secrets of yours
The water was cold
The beach was empty but for one
Now you were lying in the sun
Wanting and needing no one
Then some child came, you never
asked for her to come
She drank a pint of your rum
And later when you told me
You said she was a bore
Sometimes I wish
Oft times I wish
That I never, never knew
Some of those secrets of yours
In the name of honesty, in the name
of what is fair
You always answer my questions
but they don't always answer my
prayers
And though I know you say that it's
me that you adore
Sometimes I wish
Often I wish
That I never, never, never knew
Some of those secrets of yours
Some of those secrets of yours
Some of those secrets of yours
We have no secrets
Telling each other most everything now

Sloppy Drunk

Written by: sonny boy williamson
I would rather be sloppy drunk, than anything I know
I would rather be sloppy drunk, than anything I know
Give me another half a pint, boy, then you will see me go
Now I love that moonshine whiskey now, tell the world I do
Yes I love that moonshine whiskey now, tell the world I do
Now this is the reason why that I drink, Im just trying to get along with you
I said oh, oh, bring me another half a pint
I said mmmhuh, bring me another half a pint
Well I believe Ill get drunk, boy, and then we gonna rock this joint
Well I love that moonshine whiskey now, tell the world I do
Yes I love that moonshine whiskey now, tell the world I do
Now this is the reason why that I drink, Im just trying to get along with you
I said oh, oh bring me another half a pint
I said mmmhuh, bring me another half a pint
Well I believe Ill get drunk, boy, and then we gonna rock this joint

An Eighth of a Lemon

For Martha in the early years
life was recess, nothing more.
She knelt on asphalt,
quartered oranges for kittens

who never lost stringed mittens,
whose London Bridges
never fell down.
For Martha now,

life's Parkview Manor
where a woman in white,
three times a day, bleeds
an eighth of a lemon into her tea.

Lamerica

Yeeeaahh
I took a trip down to lamerica
To trade some beads for a pint of gold
I took a trip down to lamerica
To trade some beads for a pint of gold
Lamerica, lamerica, lamerica x2
Cmon people, dont ya look so down
You know the rain mans comin ta town
Change the weather, change your luck
And then hell teach ya how ta...find yourself
Lamerica
Friendly strangers came to town
All the people put them down
But, the women loved their ways
Come again some other day
Like the gentle rain
Like the gentle rain that falls
I took a trip down to lamerica
To trade some beads for a pint of gold
I took a trip down to lamerica
To trade some beads for a pint of gold

Apples And Oranges

Got a flip-top pack of cigarettes in her pocket
Feeling good at the top
Shopping in sharp shoes
Walking in the sunshine town feeling very cool
But the butchers and the bakers in the supermarket stores
Getting everything she wants from the supermarket stores
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
Cornering neatly she trips up sweetly
To meet the people
She's on time again
And then
I catch her by the eye then I stop and have to think
What a funny thing to do 'cause I'm feeling very pink
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
I love she
She loves me
See you
See you
Thought you might like to know
I'm the lorry driver man
She's on the run
Down by the river side
feeding ducks in the afternoon tide
(quack quack)
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges

Inspiration

let the brush begin
let the strokes be gentle
but let all these be
definite with a sense of
a mission
a purpose

paint me oranges
like suns
green patches of
grass
like peace
paint me the blueness
of the seven seas
let these be not as dark
as the night
let there be openings
like doors and
windows
so i can breathe

let me live
like i was once so alive
let me go through all these gently
like the fluttering wings
of a sky blue butterfly

you are my flower
scented with morning lemon
let me
on such a short moment
bloom
and then
even for a day
just a day
wilt with you.

Song From ‘The Princess’

As through the street at eve we went
(It might be half-past ten),
We fell out, my friend and I,
About the cube of x+y,
And made it up again.
And blessings on the falling out
Between two learned men,
Who fight on points which neither knows,
And make it up again!
For when we came where stands an inn
We visit now and then,
There above a pint of beer,
Oh there above a pint of beer,
We made it up again.

Smile On Me

As bright as the desert sun come the rays
Of your smile, and as weak as the winter flowers
I wither in it-yet again I wake up the next day yearning for it
Smile on me……………………………

Some times I stumble into the world like an ageing soldier
Spent by the many years of war and when I meet your glance
The joy of it sends me to my knees with a trance, tiring as it’s to me
Smile on me……………………………………………..

As I go about my daily work, all I need to take a break is your smile
My be today I don’t deserve the days pay but that’s the price for encountering
Your text book smile, I come back home my pockets empty but my heart full
Of immeasurable pleasures with my empty stomach
Smile no me……………………………………………………….

To other people, getting a grin from me is good enough; all I hear is my smile is as
Hard to get as it’s to squeeze juice from raw oranges but in your hot smile I die in it
Direct to eternity smiling like a soaring eagle-yet again all I ask is……….
Smile on me……………………………………………………………….

Today as I rest on this bed I know am confronted with the reality, that one
Of these days there will be a moment when you will smile to me for one last time
And we will depart to the unknown world-but if it came to that all I will ask is
Smile on me………smile on me……..smile on me…………smile on me!

The Universe Is Flat

a pint of real ale

the Angel who'd been holding aloft a screen
beyond the furthest galaxies
or just about as far as man could dream
in the pub car-park

had rolled it up
and stood it against the wall

is that all it is
pinpricks of light

half a pint still in his glass
the Angel let pass
more tiresome questions about unfathomable things

just sat
framed by an arched window
making slight quivery movements with his wings

War and peace 2

The ugliness of First, and Second World War,
I don't want to hear war again,
But why, war has never been stopped.
I don’t want to hear war again.
Dead everywhere, human dying and suffering.
All for greediness, domination and power.
Destroy all kind, of human races without mercy.

Action you take, can't be amendable.
How cruel view and thought you become.
No matter, how many kills and dies.
Yearning of power, true greediness.

The war stops?
and thanks GOD the war has gone.
Don’t let it come back.
End domination and greediness
Peace for Power, and to theworld.
To theworld, for living and in PEACE.
God blesses all man kind.

Oranges On Apple Trees

Oranges on apple trees
Birds that mate with bumblebees
Oranges on apple trees
Water comes and water goes
Where it ends up no one really knows
Water rises, water falls
Where it comes from no one knows for sure
It seeps from every pore
We have seen the rain before
Not like this - its flooding every shore
People come and people go
I can hear their laughter through the door
But no ones keeping score
Oranges on apple trees
Birds that mate with bumblebees
One big happy family
Endless possibilities
(yeah and more)
Oranges and apple trees
I see your face in front of me
Cant believe what no one else could see
I feel it deep inside of me
Everything we love shall be released
And everyone will see
Oranges on apple trees (for sure)
I used to be the only one
Not now since youve come
You and I have seen the signs
Thats why the wind died
The wind died
Thats why oranges on apple trees
Birds that mate with bumblebees
Endless possibilities (now)
Oranges on apple trees
All the things that we can see
Multi-gender wannabes
Oranges on apple trees
Birds that mate with bumblebees
One big happy family
Endless possibilities (yeah yeah yeah)
Oranges on apple trees (for sure)

Sunset Heighting Aire

Barley sixteen and half unseen,
Who in battle engaged and never gave up,
When a sunset heights the air,
Tree's swaying, standing bare,
Like in that there,
Place of feelings where-
A sunset heights the are
Half empty filling up the day,
Empty empty full of rays,
A sunset heights the air,
The menacing mighty wind where,
This there place of feelings was,
Half empty, half full.
