You want to do work that is remembered, you want to be a part of something that's remembered.

Love Has Remembered Me
Written by: myles goodwyn
Love wont remember me
Its been so long
And thats what Ive told myself
But you proved me wrong
You opened up my eyes
And helped me to see
That love has a way of finding
Those in need
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered, love has remembered me
I felt so all alone
And at times afraid
That love had foresaken me
It just seemed that way
Then you walked into my life
And you turned my whole world around
Ours is a true love
It cant be found
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered, love has remembered me
Love wont remember me
Its been so long
And thats what Ive told myself
But you proved me wrong
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered
Love has remembered
Love has remembered

The comeback kid (song)
The comeback kid
~
I walked into am ambush I was overrun
Got caught out by feelings and thoughts
Led to into a limbo dance I became mystified
And this was just the beginning
~
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to
~
They say in every song there is a story
In every poem a tale is hid from view
The are many things we will come to say
And I guess that is just our little way
~
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to
~
Now where do we go from here
It’s a situation I am not used to
I’m all confused I have no clue
Can you take my hand, lead me from here
To where’ve you wish to
~
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to

Good With The Bad
At work today in a quiet moment
I remembered where I used to work
over forty years ago.
I remembered the faces,
most of them have passed away
and the others are scattered
to the four winds of providence,
wherever that may be.
It was the silly and embarrassing things
that sprang to my memory,
then came, the upsets and defeats,
the shouts and arguments.
As with all memories,
you’re going to get the good with the bad
and the bad always seem
to outweigh the good.

In the spirit of Rumi - 7
‘My Beloved,
what can I give you of myself,
that I have not given? ’
My Beloved said
‘O my dearest one,
in all places, at all times,
remember Me.’
‘O My Beloved,
how can I not do that? ’
* * *
In tears, I returned to My Beloved
and said
‘O my dearest one,
a week has passed, and the world
pressed hard upon me…
‘The next day, I remembered You
three times each hour;
the second day, I remembered You
but once an hour;
on the third day, I remembered You
in some hours, once; some twice;
some not at all… and so it went…
But O My Beloved,
each morning as I woke
I remembered through my tears
how I had forgotten You…’
My Beloved said
‘In the remembering of the forgetting
there was a feast of sweetest honey for Me,
hiding like a new young bride
laughing with her bridegroom,
laughing with her eyes on Him,
in the silken tent of love.’

I can understand why people get annoyed at being remembered for one thing, but a lot of actors aren't remembered for anything. I don't mind that.

Little Man, What Now ?
An afternoon nostalgia
Television show
You spoke in silhouette
(but they couldnt name you)
Though the panel were very polite to you
Oh, but I remembered you
Friday nights, 1969
Atv - you murdered every line
Too old to be a child star
Too young to take leads
Four seasons passed
And they axed you
Nervous juvenile
(wont smile!)
What became of you ?
Did that swift eclipse
Torture you ?
A star at eighteen
And then - suddenly gone
Down to a few lines
In the back page
Of a faded annual
Oh, but I remembered you
I remembered you

An uncanny wish
There is no sense in wishing to be remembered
By kith and kin or even kids after your death.
You are not there to the joy of being remembered
Or to the hurt of being forgotten. An uncanny wish.

Why Do We Need Now To Be Remembered
WHY DO WE NEED NOW TO BE REMEMBERED
Why do we need now to be remembered
When we will not know this?
Why do we want so much
To be thought of
After we have disappeared?
What is this need in us to continue to be
In the minds of others
When we will not be here anymore?
Heaven is for the Good,
But Poets want Immortality
On Earth.

His Name
I cannot say his name anymore.
For I grieve. My heart is sore.
How many times have I said his name?
Oh how easy to my tongue it came.
I did not have to think it through.
When I said it I did view
all about him that I loved
and now his name I have shoved
to the back of my mind
for it's easier I find
to not say it aloud
just cover it as a shroud
and pretend it never existed.
For years I just persisted.
He was everything for so long.
To me he was eternal song
that sings melodies oh so dear.
And now all's quiet in my ear
for he's gone.
Gone are his face, his eyes and chin.
Gone are the hands I reveled in.
Gone are the strides that he did make
that never again will he take.
Remembered on every passing day,
remembered in a pleasured way,
remembered now in life's hollow game.
It's hurtful now to say his name.

Someday
Someday I will be remembered as a person of greatness
Someday I will be remembered as a person of wonders
Someday I will be remembered as the girl that was what everyone wanted
But something deep inside tells me that day won't come
Who's voice could that be?
Someone who doesn't like me?
Yes, I know who.
You.
Someday I will be remembered as the person whom you loved dearly
Someday I will be remembered as the daughter you loved dearly
Someday I will be remembered as the daughter you've always wanted
But something deep inside tells me that day won't come
Who's voice could that be?
Someone who doesn't like me?
Yes, I know who.
You.
These Someday's I tell myself to get through the tough times
But I know that they won't come.
Someday you will accept me as yours.
Someday you will.Someday.
But something deep inside tells me that day won't come
Who's voice could that be?
Someone who doesn't like me?
Yes, I know who.
You.

Few Poems Are Remembered
FEW POEMS ARE REMEMBERED
Few poems are remembered -
Few poems are ever really known-
Few poems are chosen -
Few poems make us want to return to them again and again-
Out of thousands written every day
Perhaps one poem in a decade
Perhaps less.
This is not the poem.
One can write a lifetime
Without ever writing one such poem.
Most of us never write the poem
And most of us are not remembered either.

Unrestricted I am Lifted
More today,
Than any other day remembered...
I can say,
I am missing you in a way...
I can not explain.
Your presence is so vivid.
Your spirit has come to visit.
And I am feeling much subdued.
By you!
It is as if...
Your tender lips,
I could kiss.
More today,
Than any other day remembered...
I sit and wish,
We both could touch.
Your eyes and mine...
Upon us would rush,
That feeling we together knew so much!
Without a moment's delay.
And more today,
Than any other day remembered...
Thoughts of you linger.
The Sun reaches to penetrate through clouds.
As if to grant this meeting allowed.
Unrestricted I am lifted into your arms and held!
Nothing about you is resisted!
You are here...
Where my heart has always regretted your departure.
You are here...
And everywhere my steps imagines yours I hear.
Near...
Within me!

I Remembered The Rain
I remembered the rain...
the day we sat together
watching the rain drops dancing before us
on the window before our eyes
I remembered your face...
the expression in your eyes
the frown on your brow
looking at the rain dancing before your eyes
I remembered you...
looking at me
with that soft, pained, wistful look in your eyes
knowing in the midst of the rain, around us
that you were trying to remember me
so that you would not forget my face
on the day we were finally apart
All that we ever had was the rain...
that day
And what we remembered
of each other's face in the shadow of the rain that day...
Now, without you...
I hear the rain...
only the rain, and remembering your eyes
that soft, pained, wistful look in your eyes
tearing me apart, crushing my heart
As I remember you...
Perhaps the prevalence of pedantry may be largely accounted for by the common error of thinking that, because useful knowledge should be remembered, any kind of knowledge that is at all worth learning should be remembered too.

Impulsive
He is itching,
To do something to be remembered.
Impulsive.
Imprudent.
And mentally incompetent.
With no social aspects,
To benefit!
He is itching,
To do something to be remembered.
Something to leave his mark!
Something...
Implusive!
That dangers.

Lessons Learned Over Time
Grapes ripe to pick and juicy when first licked,
Will always keep a taste sweet in one's mind.
As remembered lessons learned over time,
Are kept as one ages.
And the vine from which they were picked,
Remembered as if the only one to exist...
That committed an encouragement to nourish.

When Remembered For What It Is And Missed
Knowing the business of one's talent helps,
After establishing a recognition.
It is not the fact that one gains attention,
That a gift is remembered when it is presented.
It is the timelessness of content.
And one's ability to perceive,
From where that talent comes...
To one who has received it from a birth given.
To acknowledge a tree and admire its leaves,
To then disregard its roots...
Is a foolish position one should never take.
People become curious when one's talent is exposed.
But only those who are about the genuineness,
Of their talents from a business sense...
Continue to work on it all their lives.
And the growth and blooming of it shows to others,
Who enjoy the taste of it over and over again.
Since the quality of it never diminishes,
When remembered for what it is and missed.
And a true talent that is,
Never becomes subjected to standards lowered...
By those who excel,
In limited beliefs...
That a game pf playing a battle of wits,
Is part of it!
It isn't.
Not in this genre!
