Good With The Bad

At work today in a quiet moment
I remembered where I used to work
over forty years ago.
I remembered the faces,
most of them have passed away
and the others are scattered
to the four winds of providence,
wherever that may be.
It was the silly and embarrassing things
that sprang to my memory,
then came, the upsets and defeats,
the shouts and arguments.
As with all memories,
you’re going to get the good with the bad
and the bad always seem
to outweigh the good.
