The comeback kid (song)
The comeback kid
~
I walked into am ambush I was overrun
Got caught out by feelings and thoughts
Led to into a limbo dance I became mystified
And this was just the beginning
~
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to
~
They say in every song there is a story
In every poem a tale is hid from view
The are many things we will come to say
And I guess that is just our little way
~
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to
~
Now where do we go from here
It’s a situation I am not used to
I’m all confused I have no clue
Can you take my hand, lead me from here
To where’ve you wish to
~
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to

Love Has Remembered Me
Written by: myles goodwyn
Love wont remember me
Its been so long
And thats what Ive told myself
But you proved me wrong
You opened up my eyes
And helped me to see
That love has a way of finding
Those in need
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered, love has remembered me
I felt so all alone
And at times afraid
That love had foresaken me
It just seemed that way
Then you walked into my life
And you turned my whole world around
Ours is a true love
It cant be found
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered, love has remembered me
Love wont remember me
Its been so long
And thats what Ive told myself
But you proved me wrong
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered
Love has remembered
Love has remembered

Forget (narrative poem)
My mom went to the beach
but she forgot her things
to the back of the car she reached
but still she forgot everything
she asked like a million times where are my things
and then she remembered she forgot them at home
then she called twice and told me: are my things at home
i said yes
and she went mad
she went and swam and when she came back
i saw her wet
i asked her: what did you do
she said its okay i swam in my clothes
and then i laughed until i died
but all she did was shout and fight
and then i got in trouble
for all the mess i had done
goodbye sunshine because i am grounded
for like a week
see you my friends
but maybe till the end

You Dont Love Me Anymore
(track 8 - time 3:42)
(greg barnhill/kim carnes)
She walks over to him and she says do you remember me
I think we might have met somewhere before
Southern carolina is the place that comes to mind
But hey I guess you never really can be sure
Oh theres nothing like a true love
To go and make a fool of someone just like before
And right there for a minute
I forgot that you dont love me anymore
Then an old familiar feeling
Wraps its arms around the moment
And he says so many times Ive tried to call
Well you think youd spent a lifetime
Its been two years since Ive seen you
But it seems like no times gone by at all
There was nothing like a real love
To give you back the feel of someone just like before
And right there for a minute
I forgot that you dont love me anymore
Oh and how far well travel
For a place to heal our hearts
We watched it unravel
So whys tonight the hardest part
Then he says the weathers changin
And its icing up the highway
So I guess its time for me to hit the road
So she says goodbye and then before she knows what she is saying
She says I wish that you didnt have to go
Oh theres nothing like a true love
To go and make a fool of someone just like before
And right there for a minute
I forgot that you dont love me anymore
And right there for a minute
I forgot that you dont love me anymore

The Word
There are so many things I have forgot,
That once were much to me, or that were not,
All lost, as is a childless woman's child
And its child's children, in the undefiled
Abyss of what can never be again.
I have forgot, too, names of the mighty men
That fought and lost or won in the old wars,
Of kings and fiends and gods, and most of the stars.
Some things I have forgot that I forget.
But lesser things there are, remembered yet,
Than all the others. One name that I have not --
Though 'tis an empty thingless name -- forgot
Never can die because Spring after Spring
Some thrushes learn to say it as they sing.
There is always one at midday saying it clear
And tart -- the name, only the name I hear.
While perhaps I am thinking of the elder scent
That is like food, or while I am content
With the wild rose scent that is like memory,
This name suddenly is cried out to me
From somewhere in the bushes by a bird
Over and over again, a pure thrush word.

Siege
Your love threw me
In the land of wonders.
It took me by surprise
From my neck
While I was
At my preferred café,
At my preferred table,
While I was teasing my poems,
While my poems were teasing me.
I forgot my preferred café
And I forgot my preferred table
I forgot my poems
I forgot whom I was teasing
And who was teasing me.
.
Your love surprised me
While I was reading my hand
For luck
And fate.
I forgot my hand,
I forgot my luck,
And I forgot my fate.
Your love invaded me
the same way a tsunami
Invaded the moon
In its ecliptic wedding
With the sun.
I woke up weak
Thirsty,
And thirty million light years faraway
From my birth galaxy.
I forgot the moon,
I forgot the sun,
I forgot the wedding
And I forgot my birth galaxy.
Your love surprised me
Like the Christ surprised the ancient world
I forgot Christ
And I forgot the ancient world.

I Forgot my childhood
I forgot the streets in which I used to walk……
I forgot the senseless things I used to talk…….
I forgot the joy of completing all homework……
After which I had no other work…..
I forgot the nights thunder would scare…....
On toys when I used to stare………..
I forgot the time I used to play…..
With dust and clay

I Forgot More Than Youll Ever Know
I forgot more than youll ever know about her.
You think you know the smile on her lips
The thrill and the touch of her fingertips
But I forgot more than youll ever know about her.
You think youll find heaven of bliss
In each caress, in each tender kiss
But I forgot more than youll ever know about her.
You stole her love from me one day
You didnt care, oh, it hurt me
But you can never steal away memories of what used to be.
You think shes yours, to have and to hold
Someday youll learn, when her love grows cold
But I forgot more than youll ever know about her.

Doubt
I forgot love once
But never twice.
I forgot the exrta feelings
The happy,
And the strife.
Never forgot the love intended,
For the love of my life.
Where are the green fields we used to roam?
In my heart full of seeds,
Ready to be sewn.
Too late she asks and smiles,
I just use me simple ways,
My lonely smiles,
The road not taken,
Or, perhaps, a dream forsaken.
Never a doubt.
Love was the prize.
Never the doubt.

During the 1960s, I think, people forgot what emotions were supposed to be. And I don't think they've ever remembered.

With Our Love
It's just a look, and it makes the boys quiver.
Yes, it's just the look, and now they remember.
Had they forgotten ... what this all means?
I think they want to forget,
And they hope that this time.
(chorus)
I won't look, i've got other things to do now.
I forgot what it was, i've got to get to work now.
(and they) set an example for us (i see it!).
It can happen to me too.
(and it) didn't make any difference to us (but i)
Forgot the trouble, that's the trouble.
Forgot the trouble, that's the trouble.
Forgot the trouble, that's the trouble.
Forgot the trouble, that's the trouble.
With our love,
With our love,
With our love
They hear the words, such as "you're really special"
(and they) can't face the feeling.
(and they) can't really tell
I look out the window,
(and i) i call that education.
(and i) see all my friends standing out there
(and i) i call that education (sophistication)
(repeat chorus)
Had the forgotten...what this all means?
Things come and go (and i see 'em)
And i wont be neglected (not this time!)

A prodigal
My heart forgot its God for love of you,
And you forgot me, other loves to learn;
Now through a wilderness of thorn and rue
Back to my God I turn.
And just because my God forgets the past,
And in forgetting does not ask to know
Why I once left His arms for yours, at last
Back to my God I go.

How
I want to be a great poet
But how I forgot word sentence
Letter grammer so on and so on.
I want to say my story your story
But how I forgot the home the body
land water air sky fire so on and so on.
I do not want to be here at this moment
But how I forgot to live in the playground
With the children with the buds of garden.
I do not to go anywhere at any point of time
But how I forgot to explain the reason
That are within that I have not done.

One Of Your Tears
Did u get the tape I sent u
I thought it be better in a song
Better than the used condom u sent me
Baby that was wrong
All the things a brother had 2 picture
I see him doing things witcha
I see his hand in the small of your back
I see his face in between
The king and queen in fact
Sometimes I wanna die and comeback as one of your tears
If I could just disappear
Ceace 2 exist
Ceace 2 be here
Want me
U dont want me, Im not worth the air that I breathe
I wish I could dissappear
Sometimes I wanne die and comeback as one of your tears
(shoodebedotedoom)
Im dying
Sometimes I wanne die and comeback as one of your tears
Sometimes I wanne die and comeback as one of your tears

And Magic Continues
my dear friend
roared like a lion ‘let me die’
I asked ’why’
for there is no more love in the relations I am ruined
I said ‘you are blessed’
She fired back ‘I am still in love now see me’
I said ‘please save the love for you have never seen the magic still’
I said ‘come with me’
And she came
I said‘look up’
she did
I asked ‘What did you see’
She said ‘nothing’
I said good
that is nothingness
Now you can stop and start
For few days she forgot the idea of death
And was in the process of deathlessness
She with her idiotic mind went back to see what did she miss
She looked up and forgot to look down
She saw magic in the sky
Pure love was there, magic was there
I saw her now she is prepared
She sees love blooming bigger everywhere
And the magic continuos…

Forgot to Forget about Loving You
Years have passed along down the line
Of the summers we used to know
The days when love
Filled every minute way back there
Before we drifted on our separate paths
On life’s journey forward
But I forgot to forget about loving you
And the memories still remind me of those long gone days
I saw you yesterday
Out walking with your new love
Everything came back to me
My heart dropped at your feet
I felt those old feelings
Resurrect themselves from the past
Even though you have moved on
Found love in someone new
I forgot to forget about loving you

She Remembered
(eric carmen)
I went back to my class reunion
I was wondering how my friends have changed
I was thinking bought a certain girl
I was hoping to find there
I walked in and she caught my eye
Though she was standing with another guy
All the years seemed to fade away
Could it be she still remembered
She remembered
It was so long ago
Could we ever feel that way again
She remembered
Making love neath the stars
Oh, the world was so much younger then
When we kissed and my heart stood still
I said I loved her and I always will
cause dreams are forever
And some things you never forget
She introduced me to the guy she was with
Then I asked her if shed like to dance
We hit the floor as the band began
Our favorite old slow song
I pulled her close and to my surprise
I heard her whisper as she closed her eyes,
God its just like it used to be
I wasnt sure if youd remember
I remember
It was so long ago
Could we ever feel that way again
I remember
Making love neath the stars
Oh the world was so much younger then
When we kissed and my heart stood still
I said I loved her and I always will
cause dreams are forever
And some things you never forget
Oh darlin, please dont try and understand it
Lets be fools for one moment in time
After all, this is not as if we planned it
Just hold me close and remember
When you used to be mine
I remember when
She remembered
It was so long ago
Could we ever feel that way again
She remembered
Making love neath the stars
Oh the world was so much younger then
When we kissed and my heart stood still
I said I loved her and I always will
cause dreams are forever
And some things you never forget
Well, dreams are forever
And some things you never forget

Forget me not
You and I bathed in the same pool.
There were many flashes and splashes.
I remember and you may have forgot.
Hide and seek that we have played many.
There were delights: no matter who won.
I remember and you may have forgot.
Heaven or Hell, both had been the same
When you lay on my arms, facing me
I remember and you may have forgot.
You were later shown a rosy branch
To perch on and you did it at a stretch.
I remember and you may have forgot
To have you back, the branch must die.
To leave you in peace, I must leave.
Let me go and you forget me not.

I Forgot
Hey, it’s been so long since I have seen you.
I had to think awhile just to remember you.
I forgot the brightness in your smile.
I forgot gleam that shines in your eyes.
I forgot the soft sweet taste of your lips.
I forgot the way you used to make me move my hips.
But wait minute before you try to ease in my arms.
Because I do remember why we did part.
I remember the harsh names that you used to call me.
I remember the hurt you used to cause me.
I remember the last time we were together and you
nearly choked me to death. So you can keep
on walking cause the abuse I remember.
Don’t you even think that I forgot?
His Name
I cannot say his name anymore.
For I grieve. My heart is sore.
How many times have I said his name?
Oh how easy to my tongue it came.
I did not have to think it through.
When I said it I did view
all about him that I loved
and now his name I have shoved
to the back of my mind
for it's easier I find
to not say it aloud
just cover it as a shroud
and pretend it never existed.
For years I just persisted.
He was everything for so long.
To me he was eternal song
that sings melodies oh so dear.
And now all's quiet in my ear
for he's gone.
Gone are his face, his eyes and chin.
Gone are the hands I reveled in.
Gone are the strides that he did make
that never again will he take.
Remembered on every passing day,
remembered in a pleasured way,
remembered now in life's hollow game.
It's hurtful now to say his name.
