Reaches An Age

a man reaches an age,
and a time in his life...
when having worked, and fought,
having loved, and lost,
having gotten knocked down,
and gotten back up,
over and over, time and again...

a man reaches an age,
and a time in his life...
when he knows he's given more
than he had to give.
when suddenly he's just tired,
and worn to the bone...

a man reaches an age,
and a time in his life...
when he just wants to stop,
to look back, to just feel,
and see if somehow
he's still there!

but now the times have changed,
and there is no stopping,
no point of refuge,
no time to rest...
the battle looms, the lines are drawn,
and all a man can do....

is to keep walking!

Emily Dickinson

Me prove it now—Whoever doubt

537

Me prove it now—Whoever doubt
Me stop to prove it—now—
Make haste—the Scruple! Death be scant
For Opportunity—

The River reaches to my feet—
As yet—My Heart be dry—
Oh Lover—Life could not convince—
Might Death—enable Thee—

The River reaches to My Breast—
Still—still—My Hands above
Proclaim with their remaining Might—
Dost recognize the Love?

The River reaches to my Mouth—
Remember—when the Sea
Swept by my searching eyes—the last—
Themselves were quick—with Thee!

While in Goa!

Coming to you Oh! city of beaches
Ever nice your plesaure when someone reaches

Everyone dreams of the times to visit
A journey off the sun into a cool spirit
Pleasing is your weather which calmness teaches

Coming to you Oh! city of beaches
Ever nice your plesaure when someone reaches

Breeze of the coconut trees within a mile
The sea has an instinct of sudden smile
Healing of the shore offers gathering of riches

Coming to you Oh! city of beaches
Ever nice your plesaure when someone reaches

Stay With Me

Tempered by greed, tall buildings breathe
Give a sigh of relief when its night
Stirring from sleep, we night owls creep
Is there any sign of life under this stone
Star chime hollow & true.
Love, child
Weep for me & I will cast your wheels in motion
Walk with me the inner reaches of emotion
Sheltered by creed, one piled on one
Do you have a little room for one small one
Light shine wild & free
Sun, rise
Weep for me & I will set your wheels in motion
Keep with me & like a roller on the ocean
Stand by me & I will fill you with devotion
Walk with me the inner reaches of emotion
Weep for me & sands of time will fill the ocean
Keep with me til rays of sunshine fill the ocean
Walk with me the inner reaches of emotion
Stand with me & I will fill you with devotion
Weep for me the sands of time will fill the ocean
Keep with me & like a roller on the ocean
Stand by me & I will fill you with devotion
Walk with me the inner reaches of emotion
The sands of time will fill the ocean
Keep with me & rays of sunshine fill the ocean
Walk with me the inner reaches of emotion

Mendes

Your beauty reaches up to the skies and,
I am Mendes and i love you;
But the snares of death confront you like war!
And the cords of the grave are ready for you.
Hear the voice of my cry and i will save you,
For your beauty reaches up to the skies!
And of the great joy of your love that speaks the truth,
For my true heart will be with you always.

Beyond The Daylight Reaches

Beyond the daylight reaches,
near the back roads of the mind.
Love lies waiting there
for some lucky person,
to pluck it from the air.
Memories of old loves
linger somewhere back there,
waiting to be rekindled,
like a dying candle flame.

Beyond the daylight reaches,
near the back roads of the mind.
The world’s great treasure
waits for someone to find.
The treasure of love,
one that will last forever.
The dream without ending,
all seek, but very few
ever get there to find.

A few will take the trouble,
and keep the desire warm
at the upper most of the mind.
Travelling down this dangerous road
that stretched out beyond the daylight reaches,
near the backs roads of the mind.
Seeking the ultimate prize,
they could ever hope to find.

No reaches

The heart approaches joy
But never reaches it.
The heart approaches women
But never reaches them.
Women keep their windows open
With doors always shut.
They will shut their windows too
As rainbows in me turn white.
Then I’ll house them in my inn
That I have built in my brain.

Without A Spark To Ignite The Flame

I hear your voice,
In ever changing whispers...
What it is you feel,
On those days you choose to say...
Words you wish me to believe are real.

But I can not trust,
What it is I can not feel.
Or be made to believe...
A feeling that is not there,
Can be made for me to know is real.

Unspoken is that touch that reaches my heart.
Silent are those embers that warm and linger.
Not stirred by words...
Just to have them heard.
Unspoken is that touch that reaches my heart.

I hear your voice,
In ever changing whispers...
What it is you feel,
On those days you choose to say...
Words you wish me to believe are real.
Unspoken is that touch that reaches my heart.

And a passion within me just will not burn...
Or start,
Without a spark to ignite the flame.

Dis-stance: versts, miles

To B. Pasternak

Dis-stance: versts, miles...
They've dis-joined us, dis-mantled us,
So that we would be quiet,
At the world's farthest ends.

Dis-stance: versts, reaches...
They've disbanded, disrupted us,
Disunited and dissolved us,
Not knowing that we are an alloy

Of inspirations and sinews...
They haven't dispirited us, but they've dispersed us,
Dissected...
Wall and moat.
Displaced us, like eagles-

Conspirators: versts, reaches...
Not dismayed, but displanted.
Across the slums of the earth's latitudes
They disarranged us like orphans.

How many is it - oh, how many - Marches?!
Since they disordered us like a deck of cards!

Tale of Tiger Tail?

Tiger's dazed and feelin' kinda frail!
Incredibly tryin' to late night drive by braille?
Gosh darn fire hydrant and tree!
Escalade crumpled - and now all over the tv!
Rescued by his fearless missus?

Wantonly swingin' a nine iron midst Swedish heroic hisses?
Oh - that Tiger had such luck?
Only next time - he should remember to duck?
Don't drive to play that dangerous nocturnal 19th hole?
Simply forget it - and go with Elin for a long stroll?

He reaches for his wood?
Then, she reaches for her iron?

Reaching Out

See how the child reaches out instinctively
To feel how fire will feel.
See how the man reaches out instinctively
For what he cannot have.
The pull and the push of it all.
Reaching out for the hand.
Reaching out for the hand that smacked.
Reaching out for that hand to hold.
Reaching out for the star.
Reaching out for the star that explodes.
Reaching out for mama.
See how the flower leans instinctively
Toward the light.
See how the heart reaches out instinctively
For no reason but to touch.
The pull and the push of it all.
Reaching out for the hand
Reaching out for the hand that smacked
Reaching out for that hand to hold.
Reaching out for the star.
Reaching out for the star that explodes.
Reaching out for mama.
(cant we see...)
Reaching out for mama.

God Reaches Out

GOD REACHES OUT

I know you're feeling very down
And I wish you weren't sad.
There are so many things around
That make us feel so bad.

But when you awake in the morning
To the chirping of a bird,
Just remember that may be God,
Whose singing you have heard.

And when you walk into a store
And a beggar there you see,
Just remember, that sad face,
The face of God, may be.

And when a child smiles up at you
With innocence in their eye,
Just remember that each day
God gives innocence to you and I.

So when you're feeling down and sad
And your heart seems to break,
Just remember that God reaches out
And says, 'My Hand, you now must take.'

Love you my friend.

Human

Waking up in the night
The fear comes down...oh
And here I go again with the insecurities
Doubts are running themselves all over me
Help
Help is on the way
She don't have to say
Anything
She reaches out her hand
I know she understands
All of me
Nobody loves me like she
Just another face in the human sea
But she gives me a reason to believe
I myself am an island in the human sea
And I know I am never gonna leave
I was running like a river
Running like a river before
Standing on the beach
of the human sea
I feel so absolutely insignificant
One more dreamer in a city of heartbreak
Help
Help is on the way
She don't have to say
Anything
She reaches out her hand
I know she understands
All of me
Nobody loves her like me
Just another face in The Human Sea
But she gives me a reason to believe
I myself am an island in The Human Sea
And I know I am never gonna leave
I was running like a river
Running like a river before
I don't want to seem too dependent
But I guess it already shows
By the short hairs I will follow
Every where that she goes
Just another face
Help
Help is on the way
She don't have to say anything
I know she understands
She reaches out her hand to me
Nobody loves her like me
Just another life in a human sea
I'm just the next one looking for an answer
Take your partners hand for the human dance
Won't you lead
You know I'm not a dance
Just another face to the human sea
but she gives me a reason to believe
I find myself an island in the human sea
And I know I'm never gonna leave
I was running like a river-ac

Above all, do not lie to yourself. A man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point where he does not discern any truth either in himself or anywhere around him, and thus falls into disrespect towards himself and others. Not respecting anyone, he ceases to love, and having no love, he gives himself up to passions and coarse pleasures, in order to occupy and amuse himself, and in his vices reaches complete bestiality, and it all comes from lying continually to others and to himself. A man who lies to himself is often the first to take offense. It sometimes feels very good to take offense, doesn’t it? And surely he knows that no one has offended him, and that he himself has invented the offense and told lies just for the beauty of it, that he has exaggerated for the sake of effect, that he has picked on a word and made a mountain out of a pea — he knows all of that, and still he is the first to take offense, he likes feeling offended, it gives him great pleasure, and thus he reaches the point of real hostility…

Night Boat To Cairo

Night boat to cairo !!.....
Its just gone noon
Half past monsoon
On the banks of the river nile
Here comes the boat
Only half-afloat
Oarsman grins a toothless smile
Only just one more
To this desolate shore
Last boat along the river nile
Doesnt seem to care
No more wind in his hair
As he reaches his last half mile
The oar snaps in his hand
Before he reaches dry land
But the sound doesnt deafen his smile
Just pokes at wet sand
With an oar in his hand
Floats off down the river nile
Floats off down the river nile
