The only stupid question is the one that is not asked.

Change
The other day I walked accross the street
i couldnt believe what I appeared to see...
as I looked at a poor boy who came to me
I asked him his name and he didnt know
he just asked me for change.
I asked where is your mum?
he just asked me for change
I asked where is your dad?
he just asked me for change
I asked will someone come?
he just asked me for change
I asked why are you sad?
with no response to my question there was a pause...
but then once again he asked me for change
see, as i watched him dissapear with his pain
I realised that he actualy asked me...
for a change.

Stupid
So sad to hear that you dont want to hang around with me
So lame to see you leave and to know that you believe that its over
Cause when your weak I feel the need to get underneith your skin
And when you start to tweak I find a way to get up beside you
Stupid, stupid, stupid
Stupid, stupid, stupid
In time youll learn to love me as much as you love yourself
Oh in time youll learn to hate me
Cause when I feel the need to have you back by my side
I am sweet it makes me sick to know that I can be so blind
Stupid, stupid, stupid
Stupid, stupid, stupid
Stupid, stupid, stupid
Stupid, stupid, stupid

Stupid
Honestly, I like the word
Stupid,
I like you calling me
Stupid
In all the stupid things
That you think
I do
Which I think are
Stupid too,
Stupid!
Stupid makes me feel
That I am
Non-stupid
That I am nobody
That I am not
Like you calling me
Stupid
That I am not like you
That I am not
Alone
That I have no reason
To be sad
That confusion is not
A disease
That we all belong to one
Beautiful world
Stupid!
That is enough
Heaven for me.

STUPID PEOPLE...by Talile Ali
STUPID PEOPLE EVERYWHERE
STUPID PEOPLE WITHOUT A CARE
STUPID PEOPLE WANNA SHARE
STUPID PEOPLE IN MY HAIR
IM IN THE UNITED STATES OF STUPID PEOPLE
STUPID PEOPLE ALL THEY WROTE
STUPID PEOPLE WHO THEY QUOTE
STUPID PEOPLE GET AROUND
STUPID PEOPLE THAT I FOUND
I'M IN THE SQUALLER AND THE WIT OF STUPID PEOPLE
STUPID PEOPLE SO I SWEAR
STUPID PEOPLE I DON'T DARE

stupid cupid
on that stupid day
hits my stupid heart
with his stupid arrow
stupid blood flows
from my stupid heart
and you are there
stupid enough to
just watch me
on that stupid day
i fall in love with you
and so stupid enough
i never tell you
and you are there
on that stupid day
watching me
and stupid enough
you love me too
but never tell me
stupid day stupid love

Save That Look For Someone Else
I want to make one thing perfectly clear!
'Okay.
And...
What is that? '
Oh no.
You are not going to try to trick me.
I know what you're up to.
You want me to provide clarity,
BEFORE your questions are asked.
Don't you?
'But,
I didn't ask you for clarity.
You volunteered.'
I see.
So now you want to take advantage of my honesty.
You think I'm stupid?
I am not volunteering anything,
Until I know what it is I am volunteering for.
And save that look for someone else.
No question?
No clarity.
And that's it!
'I am not going to suggest you have issues.'
Is that a question?
It didn't sound like one.

Gertrude Stein chews the fat
We asked ourself a question
since no-one else asked it
it was are poems about the poet
or about poetry
or about neither
or about both
and now we had asked this question
we had to answer it and we said
if poetry raises all these questions
the answer must be simply
yes

I Told Myself
I told myself
You do love me
Is it really true?
She asked me
I told myself
You care for me
Are you really sure?
She asked me
I told myself
You do miss me
As often as you?
She asked me
I told myself
You need me too
Are you guessing?
She asked me
I told myself
You never tell me
Why on Earth?
She asked me
I told myself
You hide a lot…
Is that friendship?
She asked me
I told myself
You think too much
Does he not feel?
She asked me
Tell me, my love
What shall I say?
To all those queries
That she asked me...
How should I answer?
What should I ponder?
Tell me the truth
For she still asks me...
You For Me
And Me For You
Is it the Future?
One last Question
She did ask me.
I don’t have the answers
Yet she keeps asking me…
May be, she knows,
One day, one moment
You’ll let her know
How you feel for me...

Side Effects
Doesn't it seem as if another cure has been discovered,
For an ailment you didn't know existed...
But now you are convinced,
You had it since birth?
And the cure advertised and available,
Is just what you need?
And some of these when taken,
Produce side effects!
Like serious infections, viruses and death!
Who lives to be that foolish?
Nevermind...
Stupid question!
'No it isn't.
Haven't you heard?
No question asked is stupid! '
Can anyone today honestly believe,
Someone in a laboratory is going to find anything,
Other than another disease to create.
Infect some animal that's going to be eaten.
Spreading an illness that has to be cured.
And this is done on an annual basis.
Creating a public disturbance.
Increased pharmaceutical sales.
And hospitals building yet another wing,
To provide inadequate services...
For experimental purposes!
'Sound like you're talking about the flu?
Which reminds me...
Did you get your flu shot yet? '
What are we talking about?
'Give me a hint.
I haven't been paying attention.
Something about being a guinea pig maybe? '
Well...
Yeah!

To Amuse At The Expense Of Wasted Time
Would these be betting odds,
That an asking of someone...
Who has done something in their life,
For more than 'sixty years'.
And approached to be questioned,
What they have been doing...
Since they were last seen ten years ago?
And that question has been asked,
By that same person rerpeatedly.
And the response is known.
What would be the likely odds,
That the person asked the question...
Would 'not' be doing,
What has become an obvious love...
For what that person does.
Should the one asking that same question,
Take a gamble and ask another question...
That would initiate a conversation,
Expressing a real interest?
And not just say the same thing to re-tread.
I maybe wrong about this,
But...
Leaving the person feeling a sense of being appreciated,
Would probably reveal a human being existing.
Instead of a novelty to amuse at the expense of wasted time.

Sometimes
sometimes i feel
so stupid and so stupid
that i like being called stupid
by other stupid people out
there who think that
they are not stupid
sometimes i like to laugh
at myself and call myself
crazy and behave like i
am crazy and then suddenly
a man comes next to me
and asks me
why am i happy?
i think he is not stupid anymore.

Stupid I
My stupid I,
do not know,
the sight of the
falling snow.
My stupid I,
didn't see,
the depth of,
unexplored sea.
My stupid I,
never watch,
how the honey-bees,
do flowers touch!
My stupid I,
do always kill,
the busy ants,
doing their drill.
My stupid I,
can never stand,
to enjoy the sky,
and beautiful land.
Now, my stupid I,
want to feel all,
she missed before,
Oh! Nature's call!

i must not be stupid enough to know that
i am stupid but stupid or not i must realize
that stupidity is not that stupid
sometimes it has flashes of wisdom
wears its whiskers
smokes pipes and
wipes that stupid look that makes other wonder
it is just the look?
or the spook?

In Honor Of Black History Month
...and, this year we are so excited,
In honor of Black History Month...
To provide a ten thousand dollar scholarship,
To anyone who can answer the following question.
And...
If you all notice,
You have been given the answer as is shown...
Amongst the choices from which to choose.
Either A, B or C.
Good luck!
Here is your question...
How many fingers are on the left hand?
You have five seconds to respond.
Place your one thumb on the buzzer.
And hold with your remaining four fingers,
On your left hand.
YES!
You are the first to respond.
Your answer is...?
'Hold up!
And don't be winking at me.
I ain't into that!
Supposing that left hand was held by someone else...
Guiding with valued assistance to choose the right path? '
That has nothing to do with the question asked.
NOR is that one of the answers already given.
One of them is correct.
The others are not.
'Look...
I need that ten thousand dollars.
And stop winking at me...
Pervert.'
Do you or do you not have the correct answer?
'Do you or do you not get on my last nerve? '
THIS is a contest.
'And THIS is my fist.
Do you mind repeating the question?
And don't look at me as if I'm the one stupid.'

Think About It
Think about it.
Is it really fair,
That anyone declared intelligent...
Should assume those not given that designation,
Are amongst those ignorant?
And should at all cost,
Be avoided?
And...
To that,
Your response would be?
Are you giving the question I asked,
More time to ponder?
Comeon.
Why are you looking at me,
Suspiciously?
Why are you backing away from me?
It's just a simple question.
Hey?
Hey?
You don't have to run away.
It's not my survey.
What is it you hide,
And try to protect?
HEY?
Some people today,
Get highly defensive...
By anyone attempting to communicate.
It's not like I asked anything to offend,
Intentionally.

Me So Stupid
I could have been a brain surgeon
I could have been a pharmacist
I gave a shot at radio revivalist
With the bossman I'd have never been missed
Me so stupid
Me so stupid
Me so stupid
What is my IQ?
What is my intelligent quotiant
I could have built the Golden Gate Bridge
Or Einstein's nemesis
I could have been a derby jockey
But it's all come down to this
Me so stupid
Me so stupid
Me so stupid
What is my IQ?
What is my intelligent quotiant
I could have built Las Vegas
I could have built a drumsized Rolls Royce
I could have been President of the world
Could have had Ali on the ropes
Could have had Miss August
Again
Could have had Miss May
Again
Could have had Miss September
Again
But I waited till December
Me so stupid
Me so stupid
Me so stupid
What is my IQ?
What is my intelligent quotiant?
That's so wrong.............

Do I Have Something To Eat?
you ask me if i have eaten
it did not come to your mind if i have something to eat
but i will not correct your question
it is the most common question somehow
that is being asked by the majority of
those who do not really go deeper
into the matter,
ask me now, how about the hungry children of Africa?
the children of the rebels in Syria?
where food is prohibited, where plants do not grow because of the war,
please ask me that question.

Thousand Fold
(j. buckley)
I have no desire to make contact with all the thought of no, no.
I shiver now, to think of how this answer asked her, no.
Long time gone.
I run to my hide out.
There aint a star born that brightens
More than you, you always should have known,
Ill illuminate your question,
Long time ago Id died and gone.
What has brought the question?
Time has brought the question.
Come and call the question, oh, oh, oh.
Here are the stars, same thing again
Over, over, over, over, over, over
Over, over, over, over, over, over.

Stupid To Believe
Im so stupid to believe
That you actually liked me
Im so stupid to believe
That you actually wanted to be with me
Im so stupid to believe
All those words you said to me
Im so stupid to believe
That we'd last forever
Im so stupid to believe
That you still had feelings for me
Im so stupid to believe
That you'd actually take me back
And most of all
Im so stupid to believe
That i would never care enough
to be heartbroken again
But here i am
Writing this poem
You never liked me
You never wanted to be with me
We'd never last forever
You'd never take me back
And i'll always be heartbroken

Can You Teach Me To Write?
No matter how the question is asked.
Or with words the one asking the question uses.
Whenever I am asked,
'Can you teach me to write?
Like you do? '
This is what I hear...
Not said from lips,
But this is the picture I get:
~Skip all that nonsense about being disciplined.
And please don't mention sacrifice.
To 'that' I wont even listen.
I want to see my name published all over the place.
Tell me how you have done that.
And erase all those trials and tribulations...
With heartache and pain you had to face.
I've got things to say and I know I'm great.
How do I find a publisher? ~
Sure!
I will teach you.
What have you written?
'Oh...
I haven't started yet.
What is it that I need to begin? '
You might want to carry with you a pad and pen.
'Why? '
