The Reason A Dog
You keep knockin but you cant come in
The way you love I adore
You always come never know where you been
But a-now Im here baby to even the score
Youre up, youre down
Youre always running in place
Triathlon if you please
Youre always beggin me for a taste
But I aint up to snuff if you sneeze
Yak yak yak
Lord you give me the bends
Heads and tails
Youre all out of love
Like the reason a dog
Has so many friends
He wags his tail instead of his tounge
Your older sister
Shes a lot like you
She likes to grab my mircophone
Now there aint too much she wont do
Especially when were all alone
Youre up, youre down
Youre always runnin in place
Triathlon if you please
Her minds on rewind and erase
You might get shot, babe
When youre shootin the breeze
Yak yak yak
Lord you give me bends
Youre heads and tails
Are calling for love
Like the reason a dog
Has so many friends
He wags his tail instead of his tounge
(repeat)
Your older sister
Shes a lot like you
And there aint too much she wont do
Theres always something
That you got to say
I lose my mind and then I surely fade away, yeah
Yak yak yak
Lord you give me the bends
Youre heads and tails
Now look what you done
Like the reason a dog
Has so many friends
He wags his tail instead of his tounge
(repeat)

I Do Like His Dog
Surly looking and hung over after a night on the grog
I cannot say I do like him much though I do like his dog
His golden retriever on seeing me wags her tail
Of making a new friend of every opportunity she does avail
She does not have him to thank for her nice personality
The man and his dog look at life differently
Out walking the retriever after a row with his wife
Hung over and feeling quite hard done by life
But his female dog of people not in any way indifferent or shy
A great love of humanity she seems to enjoy
With her surly master as she walks down the street
She wags her tail at everyone she does meet
The dog and her master different as chalk and cheese
But then dogs than us far more easy to please.

America is a large, friendly dog in a very small room. Every time it wags its tail, it knocks over a chair.

There is no dog, be he ever so wicked, but wags his tail.
When the fox wants to catch geese, he wags his tail.
Almost A Mechanical Bird
You only have to see
the little bird
to know its name
I used to wag school
like Willie
wags
his tail.

Courtneys Love
Our furry friends give us love
They greet us with wiggles and wags
Unconditional love they give
Trough life as they live
Her friend is remembered with tears
Also with smiles for the years
For the pleasure they gave to each other
I truly believe that the lord above
Will reunite them in heaven
With wiggles and wags
Therefor our best friends
Will never be sad
For your dog is smiling from heaven above
For the woman she truly loved
In her pocket she carries a treat
For her dog when they do meet
Poem Corrected
outside
the morning is very cold
as i open the
door
our dog is there
lying on the
rug
the way he wags
his tail
convinces me
that he may now
enter the kitchen
of the house
he gets his favorite
bone

Our Daily Bread
"Give me my daily bread.
It seems so odd,
When all is done and said,
This plea to God.
To pray for cake might be
The thing to do;
But bread, it seems to me,
Is just our due.
"Give me my daily toil,"
I ought to say -
(If from life's cursed coil
I'd time to pray.)
Give me my daily sweat,
My body sore,
So that bread I may get
To toil for more.
"Give me my daily breath,"
Through half a sob,
Until untimely death
Shall end my job.
A crust for my award,
I cry in dread:
"Grant unto me. Oh Lord,
My daily bread!"

You're not a dog
Lying on my couch
I hear the distant barks
of a dog.
I try to answer it as best I can,
being only human.
My dog starts nudging me
with his snout, and wags his tail,
almost certainly meaning,
'don't try to fool me-
I know you're not a dog! '

The White Poodle
the white poodle rushes inside
the living room
this early morning when i
first open the door
for the air and light
to come in
as i stand by the window
to see the world again
it wags its tail
asking for a little attention
which i so willingly give
and then
with all affection it sits
near my feet
i put my hand on its head
and it rubs its head
warmly on my palm
as usual
we mark this day
with friendship
and then another day unfolds
like a bud blooming for happiness

Be a man too
One is a dog when one wags for bread,
And a mouse when one steal for one’s wants.
One is a dog when one drives trespassers
And a monkey when one cuckolds.
One must be a man to take pity
And redress others sufferings.

Here To Go (Go Mix Version)
if you smell the smoke
you don't need to be told
what you got to do
yet there's a certain breed
so very in between
they'd rather take a vote
running short on time
still they can't decide
but we already know
that we are here to go
we are here to go
we are here to go
we are here to go
we are here to go
what is really mine
who's at the top of the pile
where does he draw the line
let them figure it out
go on and step across
just remind yourself
that we are here to go
when it grows too long
the tail wags the dog
the hand that bites gets fed
troubled multiply
the crowd begins to cry
for some common sense
let them all dig in
when the odds are no win
head for the nearest door
'cause we are here to go
go
