What I advise you to do is, not to be unhappy before the crisis comes…some things torment us more than they ought; some torment us before they ought; and some torment us when they ought not to torment us at all. We are in the habit of exaggerating, or imagining, or anticipating, sorrow.
Only Faith Has Power To Oppose Evil?
you are not listening God you do not listen
when your children the human race cry out
in hunger in pain in desperation in agonies torment
why do you let demon seed rise to power Nazi tyrants?
why do you let good be tested tried fail in hopelessness?

Bullion
MY thoughts
Chink against my ribs
And roll about like silver hail-stones.
I should like to spill them out,
And pour them, all shining,
Over you.
But my heart is shut upon them
And holds them straitly.
Come, You! and open my heart;
That my thoughts torment me no longer,
But glitter in your hair.

Fleas
My thoughts are like fleas,
Eternally skipping.
I try as I please
To prevent their slipping,
To probe them for more meant
Than my wit can utter;
But out of the torment
They quiver and flutter,
Dance, sparkle, and vanish
With insolent ease.
To hold or to banish
My thoughts are like fleas.

Gift Giving
I leave my words and thoughts to those
who love the things I do.
The simplicity of nature and all her gifts
to help us see life through,
The graciousness of a tender heart
that offers to kindred souls
gifts beyond our limited sight
that softens the bell that tolls.
And in return I ask of thee naught
for my God has filled my wants.
He's given me all my words and thoughts
and in return I gift them to you.

The Last pedal
The silence of the day
Allowed me
To gather up some simple thoughts
In the garden,
Next to a simple cottage
Over grown by Ivy
Surrounds all four walls
Grew the summer time rose
I miss getting its sweet fragrance.
Her beauty now devastated.
As The last pedal hit the selfish ground
Painful sight of the barin stem
Leaving only the piercing points of its thorns
Touching her now makes deep wounds
I missed having the summertime rose
Soft and fragrant.
Memories I have
Will carry me
Battling my way
From torment and vacancy
She will return
Under the spring time warmth.
Unearthing the eternity.

Elderly Women Behind The Counter In A Small Town
i seem to recognize your face
haunting, familiar, yet i can't seem to place it
cannot find the candle of thought to light your name
lifetimes are catching up with me
all these changes taking place, i wish i'd seen the place
but no one's ever taken me
hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away...
hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away...
i swear i recognize your breath
memories like fingerprints are slowly raising
me, you wouldn't recall, for i'm not my former
it's hard when, you're stuck upon the shelf
i changed by not changing at all, small town predicts my fate
perhaps that's what no one wants to see
i just want to scream...hello...
my god its been so long, never dreamed you'd return
but now here you are, and here i am
hearts and thoughts they fade...away...
hearts and thoughts they fade...away...
hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away...
hearts and thoughts they fade...

Let There Be Hope
Boats afloat,
across an ocean moat
Sailing away,
a tyrants torment
With joyous rapture,
T'ward a life content.
rickety, leaking boat
Let there be hope.
Boats of hope,
human tragedy afloat
Sailing away,
a homelands fear
On terrorful waves
Closer now, sanctuary near.
listing, ailing boat,
Let there be hope.
Boats without hope,
Human misery, afloat
Sailing away,
from a life content
With sorrow filled hearts.
recapitulated, now their torment.
Scuttled, sinking boat,
let there be hope.
Boats nae float,
beneath an ocean moat
Sailing away,
a savior of deception
An islands hopeless souls
shattered dreams of redemption.
Fractured, sunken boat
let there be hope.
Stop the boats afloat,
across an ocean moat
Sailing t'ward,
asylum signed veracious
People who pride, 'fair go '
ah, but leaders are mendacious.
Rickety, Leaking Shattered Boat
please, let there be hope.

Return Trip
I will return to my place of Birth
To that place before Mother Earth
I will return to that Day of Awakening
To that Day of a New Beginning
I will return to my very first Sun
My very first Moon, my very first Star
I will return to that place that never was far
I will return to the land of the Beautiful,
the Good, the Grateful
Where there is nothing to forgive
For there is no sin
Where there is no regret
Life is what you dream
Where Innocence is never put to test
Where all is Sacred and blessed with Happiness
I will return to my place and time of Birth
I will return
I am not Cursed

How Can I?
How can I know anything
that cannot come to mind?
All the things that life can bring
I cannot seem to find.
All I've found are thoughts of you.
All the rest has said adieu.
How can I feel anything
that cannot make me warm?
Even the heat of the sun
cannot seem to form
a blanket to envelop me
and warm me like the sight of thee.
How can I go from day to day
and soothe my heart again?
All that I loved has taken flight.
It all has said amen.
My thoughts, my feelings torment me so.
The only thing I seem to know
is you.
How can I? How can I
forgive myself this pain?
I cannot find the joy in life
so how can I remain?
The life I loved is here no more.
All I remember is what was before.

To Feel The Nectar Of A Sweet Cherry Tree
My thoughts are projected to an ancestral space,
In my whole being is an unanswered questions torment,
And from this slough of a life without direction,
To feel the nectar of a sweet cherry tree,
Its all the peace this spring could ever give me.

Sonnet XXVII: Oft and In Vain
Oft and in vain my rebel thoughts have ventur'd
To stop the passage of my vanquisht heart,
And shut those ways my friendly foe first enter'd,
Hoping thereby to free my better part.
And whilst I guard these windows of this fort
Where my heart's thief to vex me made her choice
And thither all my forces do transport,
Another passage opens at her voice.
Her voice betrays me to her hand and eye,
My freedom's tyrants conquering all by art;
But, ah, what glory can she get thereby,
With three such powers to plague one silly heart?
Yet my soul's sovereign, since I must resign,
Reign in my thoughts; my love and life are thine.

Do You Have Any Thoughts About Me?
Do you have any thoughts about me?
And I want to know if the thoughts that you have about me
Are any good?
Do you mind sharing the thoughts about me?
What are the thoughts about me like?
Are the thoughts about me semtimental?
Are the thoughts about me very romantic?
Are the thoughts about me full of love?

Basic Ability
Basic abilities are the life of my work,
Just be authority, and certain trees are grown.
The sender of thoughts shall weigh half,
Justice finds a place for the weak and infirm.
My opening thoughts fence for themselves,
Names are too beleaguering like a fountain.
Must we touch the return of our forefathers?
The living and dying is for one who cares
About the haziness in the air of the dwellers.
Basically and effortlessly, the thoughts
Are registered to work genius in the hearts of men.

Without You
Since you were gone
Each breath I take
Leaves me undone
As my heart breaks.
Deep despair
And cutting pain,
You are not there
I'm alone again.
Endless dying
Loss and torment,
Ceaseless crying -
My strength is spent.
Oh please return!
Each day I die,
Let your love burn,
New hope, for you and I.

The Reign Must Fall
The tyrants psyche is broken.
He sits in his gilded palace
Surrounded by his trusty band
Of armed thuggish cutthroats, waiting
For the inevitable end.
Outside the palace walls a crowd
Of angry, loathing citizens
Whose long suppressed voices bellow
An immediate regime change;
But like most tyrants of the past
Ego and self-aggrandizement
Deludes clear, rational thinking;
As a result, grasping at straws
Hoping for the impossible.

Happy Thoughts, Happy Thoughts, Think Happy Thoughts
I have to keep reminding myself to forget you.
Forget you and me.
(Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, think happy thoughts.)
You wanted me to promise to never say it again
Those three words
(Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, think happy thoughts)
Which is laughably easy to do right now because
We are so far out of touch I couldn’t reach you if I tried
(Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, think happy thoughts)
So I plod through grey days and inky dark nights
Heavy laden with regret
(Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, think happy thoughts)
Tomorrow I will remind myself to forget you.
Forget you and me.

The Return.
For the ones who would return from the hell,
Some unable to talk, others, tales to tell.
Of heroism and loud glories,
Or of sadder muted stories.
Boys return as men,
Men return never the same.
All return with some sort of pain.

The return of the native,
Fully teethed I left you.
Toothless I return to you.
Where from I had come,
There to I want to return
In between, I never came back
Nor did I give you any thought.
Which bird thinks of the nest
When he flies in gay?
In twilight, cows return to shed.
As night falls, I return to you.
In your cradle, I was born,
Only where my roots are known.
On return, I shall dropp to you
What I had earned elsewhere
So that, of me, you are aware
And I can pass away with after care.

Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
