The Reign Must Fall

The tyrants psyche is broken.
He sits in his gilded palace
Surrounded by his trusty band
Of armed thuggish cutthroats, waiting
For the inevitable end.
Outside the palace walls a crowd
Of angry, loathing citizens
Whose long suppressed voices bellow
An immediate regime change;
But like most tyrants of the past
Ego and self-aggrandizement
Deludes clear, rational thinking;
As a result, grasping at straws
Hoping for the impossible.

Sate

'Sate, sate..... te te'
Sound builders satay at night
echoed through the halls of the capital
go on and on so every night
the walls of the houses across the street, alleys
in the capital of the kingdom
witness craft, tenacity and perseverance
peddle wares
favorite food of all citizens,
officials and the king
anticipated arrival
moreover the king's wife and family
they secretly love it
although manners forbade direct contact
with the repairman satay

'Te, te...... te goat, and cow's father.... '
Until one day the king, officials and retainer
In the vicinity of the royal palace
Angry, out skewers
Preceded by residents who are hungry
From staying up all night, patrolling

The Nayaka, the courtiers can only be silent
When the officials angry
Moreover, the royal family.
'If so, tell the repairman satay'
Only selling to serve the royal family.
Or call a palace cook
The rickshaw satay did not enter the palace
Become a palace cook
He prefers, the king occupies land
In addition to the road to the palace mosque
And do not want to be separated with customers
In this life
Most prized possessions is the fidelity
To the people who love him
Not germerlap money, rewards and praise
Of courtiers
Which at times was bored
So kick

Life can not be measured
only of desire

Arab Spring

There's much ado about the Arab Spring;
It has about it such a pleasant ring.
We in the West can really feel exalted
By how the Arab countries have revolted.
But lately I must say I've been observing
Developments that really are disturbing
For Muslim fundamentalists are grinning
As at the ballot boxes they are winning.
Now revolutionaries are depressed;
They fear the rights they've won will be suppressed,
For victory over tyrants quickly pales
When women have to hide behind their veils;
And from the past we know the lessons clear;
That those who don't conform will live in fear,
For there at fundamentalism's core
Among the shadows hides - Sharia Law.
The end result's too early yet too call
But let us hope the Spring is not the Fall.

Foreign Window

I saw you from a foreign window
Bearing down the sufferin road
You were carryin your burden
To the palace of the lord
To the palace of the lord
I spied you from a foreign window
When the lilacs were in bloom
And the sun shone through your window pane
To the place you kept your books
You were reading on your sofa
You were singin every prayer
That the masters had instilled in you
Since lord byron loved despair
In the palace of the lord
In the palace of the lord
Bridge:
And if you get it right this time
You dont have to come back again
And if you get it right this time
Theres no need to explain
I saw you from a foreign
Bearing down the sufferin road
You were carryin your burden
You were singing about rimbaud
I was going down to geneva
When the kingdom had been found
I was giving you protection
From the loneliness of the crowd
In the palace of the lord
In the palace of the lord
They were giving you religion
Breaking bread and drinking wine
And you laid out on the green hills
Just like when you were a child
I saw you from a foreign window
You were trying to find your way back home
You were carrying your defects
Sleeping on a pallet on the floor
In the palace of the lord
In the palace of the lord
In the palace of the lord
Etc etc...

M+M's

You and I should get away for awhile
I just want to be alone with your smile
Buy some candy and cigarettes and we'll get in my car
We'll blast the stereo and we'll drive to Madagascar

Because when I'm with you there's nothing I wouldn't do
I just want to be your only one
I'm grasping out at straws thinking back to what I saw
That night on the floor when we were all alone

My love life was getting so bland
There are only so many ways I can make love with my hand
Sometimes it makes me want to laugh
Sometimes I want to take my toaster in the bath

Because when I'm with you there's nothing I wouldn't do
I just want to be your only one
I'm grasping out at straws thinking back to what I saw
That night on the floor when we were all alone

Who's gonna be the odd man out?
I don't want to be the odd man out
Is this going to be the end
Or are you going to be my new girlfriend?

Crackerbox Palace

I was so young when I was born
My eyes could not yet see
And by the time of my first dawn
Somebody holding me . . . they said
I welcome you to crackerbox palace
Weve been expecting you
You bring such joy in crackerbox palace
No matter where you roam know our love is true
While growing up or trying to
Not knowing where to start
I looked around for someone who
May help reveal my heart - someone said
While youre a part of cracerbox palace
Do what the rest all do
Or face the fact that crackerbox palace
May have no other choice than to deport you
I welcome you to crackerbox palace
Weve been expecting you
You bring us joy in crackerbox palace
No matter where you roam know our love is true
Sometimes are good . . . sometimes are bad
Thats all a part of life
And standing in between them all
I met a mr. grief - and he said
I welcome you to crackerbox palace
Was not expecting you
Lets rap and tap at crackerbox palace
Know that the lord is well and inside of you

Christian Paradox

The walls so beautiful in a luxurious palace,
In the vicinity where the center ground on the alter that sits the chalice,
Closed curtains cover the intention of malice,

The broken church a paradox indeed,
The beautiful palace of evil is all I can see,
In a sanctuary under white clouds of glee,
The house of God so evil but how can this be?

The curtains closed behind the alter the secret sealed shut,
Blind to the eyes of followers behind the curtains of smut,
Backstage sits the priest eating the fruit of disgust,
The desire of rape, the evil lust,

But so beautiful the vicinity the walls hovers around pews,
Where reconciliation transpire with the hope to renew,
A closer connection with “God” that everyone thought they knew,
Rape in the form of blackmail representing the hidden taboo,

The broken church crumbles in the form of the truth,
The reign of terror forever ends for the destruction of youth,
The transparent light beams down from the window where the blind can see through,
Terror stemmed from the vicinity of the church’s morals that remain untrue.

Deliver Us From Temptation

Freedom" this cry of all slaves will be heard
And the tyrants will feel the steal of the sword
The chains will be broken by all slaves on the earth
Forever to be free from their load
Time has run out for all you tyrants on earth
Your slaves are heedin\' the call
Makin\' an end to all this terror and pain
An end to your lies and your law
Takin\' away all your gold and your money
\'cause dead men don\'t need it anymore
Much too long we felt the slash of your whips
So now you will feel or swords
Freedom the eternal cry will echo high in the sky
The day will come when all power has been broken
Your blood will flow down to the gates of hell
Satan will wait for your souls
Pray to your god he won\'t help you he\'s dead
He won\'t fool our minds and our soul... anymore
Chorus:
Freedom the cry of all slaves will be heard
The tyrants will now feel the steel of the sword
The chains will be broken by all slaves on earth
Chorus
Forever to be free from their load

Tears utmost gauze cloth dream not succeed
Night deep before palace press song sound
Red cheek not old favour first cut
Slant lean on smoke cover sit arrive brightness
Her handkerchief all soaked in tears, she cannot dream,
In deepest night before the palace voices sing.
Her rosy cheeks aren't old, but first love has been cut,
Leaning, wreathed in smoke, she sits until the dawn.

I Really Want us to Last Forever

Happy cause I have you,
scared cause I don't want to lose you,
sad cause your not understanding me,
grateful cause your at lest trying,
mad cause you don't sometimes realize what you do,
upset cause I really want you to,
hoping and wondering if your going to change,
waiting to see if you will,
thinking of where my life with you will go,
hoping you will change cause I love you so,
hoping someday you will realize what I've said,
mostly hoping this will all change so we stay together,
cause I really want us to last forever.

Gypsies In The Palace

Gypsies in the palace
By: jimmy buffett, glenn frey, will jennings
1985
"i have heard that some of the great parties of all times have
Been at my house - when i wasn't there."
-- spoken:
"in days of old, when knights were bold,
And journeyed from their castles,
Trusty men were left behind,
Knights needed not the hassles.
They helped themselves to pig and peach,
And drank from king's own chalice.
Oh, it was a stirring sight
These gypsies in the palace."
"and some things never change. hit it boys!"
So long boss, knock 'em dead, don't worry 'bout a thing
Wish that we could come along, we'd love to hear you sing
Limo's here, your bags are packed, the list is by the phone
Me and snake will watch your place and treat it like our own
Look at all this liquor
Look at all this food
It's only gonna go to waste
We're not really being rude
But the good stuff's in his closet, i swear he wouldn't mind
Hell we'll just shoot the lock off, i do it all the time
We're gypsies in the palace, he's left us here alone
The order of the sleepless knights will now assume the throne
We ain't got no money, we ain't got no right
But we're gypsies in the palace, we got it all tonight
There's damsels in distress out there and we got all this beer
We'll free them from their condos and bring 'em over here
We'll show them his gold records
We'll play his music loud
We'll party just like bubba does
We'll do the old man proud
We're gypsies in the palace, there ain't no wrong or right
We're gypsies in the palace, and a' goin' wild tonight
He's the greatest guy to work for, man he's really cool
Hey snake this party's gettin' dull, throw someone in the pool
Hey let's all take our clothes off and form a conga line
Watch out for that broken glass, hey snake we need more wine
We're gypsies in the palace, there ain't no wrong or right
We're gypsies in the palace, and we're raisin' hell tonight
Hey
Oh hi there boss, what's goin' on
You say you're coming when?
I'll send snake out to pick you up tomorrow night at ten, okay!
Everybody outta here, this joint is closin' down
We gotta find someone to clean this up, he's comin' back to town
Hi there boss we waxed your cars, we raked and mowed your lawn
We couldn't find enough to do in the short time you were gone
Man it sure is peaceful here, you've really got it all
If you ever hit the road again, give me and snake a call
We're gypsies in the palace, he's left us here alone
The order of the sleepless knights will now assume the throne
We ain't got no money, we ain't got no right
But we're gypsies in the palace, we got it all tonight
-- spoken:
"hey, jimmy, it's glenn"
"glenn, how ya doin'?"
"fine man, i'm goin' on the road.
Do you know anybody who could possibly house-sit for me?"
"i got these two great guys that look after my place.
Man, they're the best!"

Background vocals: jimmy buffett, glenn frey, timothy b. schmit

Spring Night In The Imperial Chancellery

Evening falls on palace walls shaded by flowering trees, with cry of birds
flying past on their way to roost. The stars quiver as they look down on the
myriad doors of the palace, and the moon's light increases as she moves into
the ninefold sky. Unable to sleep, I seem to hear the sound of the bronze-clad
doors opening for the audience, or imagine the sound of bridle-bells bourne
upon the wind. Having a sealed memorial to submit at tomorrow's levee, I make
frequent inquiries about the progress of the night.

Crying, Waiting, Hoping

Crying, crying,
Waiting, waiting,
Hoping, hoping,
Youll come back,
I just cant seem
To get you off my mind.
Crying, crying,
Waiting, waiting,
Hoping, hoping,
Youll come back.
Youre the one I love.
I think about you
All the time.
Crying, crying,
Tears keep a-falling
All night long.
Waiting, waiting,
It seems so useless,
I know its wrong
To keep on...
...crying, crying,
Waiting, waiting,
Hoping, hoping,
Youll come back baby,
Someday soon
Things will change
And youll be mine.
Crying, crying,
Tears keep a-falling
All night long.
Waiting, waiting,
It seems so useless,
I know its wrong
To keep on...
...crying, crying,
Waiting, waiting,
Hoping, hoping,
Youll come back
Maybe someday soon,
Things will change
And youll be mine.

Hoping, hoping

Palace Of The Brine

In a place they say is dead
In the lake thats like an ocean
I count about a billion head
All the time
Theres a motion
Palace of the brine
I saw the cloning
Of the famous family
I heard the droning
In the shrine
Of the sea-monkey
Palace of the brine
Beneath reflections in the fountain
The starry sky and utah mountains
They are swimming happily
Cant you see
A life thats so sublime
Palace of the brine.

Buck House...

England attracts with one's view eyes
of tourists.
tall trees, water fountains and colour flags
are bouncing as in the water
as in the mirror.

To be in London and not to see the palace
it is incredible.
To learn his history
it to enter the palace in order

to hear whispers of walls, appliances
and senses hidden deep secrets and the ones

which stopped already being them...

Hello Tomorrow

Hello tomorrow and good-bye to yesterday
We've been waiting for this moment
And we still don't know what to say
We may never find the answers or know the reason why
Why we both decided we should say good-bye
Nothing but good things are coming my way
If you are going please let me stay
You bring me down when I'm getting high
You turn me on I amplify
1 -2-3 times you've broken me (Broken Me)
I won't bleed like this forever
I'm down to ride but my wings are severed
Blindside blitz- evacuation
I'm stuck in hell your on vacation
1-2-3 times you've broken me (Broken Me)
I've been waiting
Waiting for the day
I've been waiting
Waiting for the day
I'm still waiting for tomorrow
Tired of living in yesterday
I've been waiting
Waiting for the day I'd be over you
Oceans, devotions, these notions run dry
Floating away and I don't know why
Spend all my days in a bottle thinking
You're like an anchor got me sinking
1-2-3 times you've broken me (broken me)
Say good-bye now and mean it forever
Got to move on and keep it together
Forget the things that you've said and you've done
That's in the past, here comes the sun
1-2-3 times you've broken me (broken me)
Repeat Chorus

The Golden Palace

Locked behind the door
Taken by force
But Im not guilty of the crime
How can this be real
What is aganst the law
To say whats on your mind
Then I see your face
So warm as it comforts me
And tells me I am not alone
Pray for me tonight
Give me the strength of love
To help me cross the virgin snow
I will run till daybreak
My tears will fade away
Theyll never take me again
No Im never going back
cause when I get to the golden palace
Everything will surely be so clear
Can we give ourselves
Like a mother to her child
They took a part of me
Whenever I think of it
I shiver to the bone
The scar is on my heart
When will the crimes of
Inhumanity be known
I am only one voice
I will not fade away
So many are silent
But I will never look back
cause when I get to the golden palace
Everything will surely disappear
The snow has gone at last
Im out of the shadows and into the sun
And then I see you smile
Angel of mercy
The fight has jus begun
I can hear them calling
Across the frozen land
The world will hear us
You know its never too late
cause when we get
To the golden palace
The memory will surely be so clear

New Dawn Fades

A change of speed, a change of style.
A change of scene, with no regrets,
A chance to watch, admire the distance,
Still occupied, though you forget.
Different colours, different shades,
Over each mistakes were made.
I took the blame.
Directionless so plain to see,
A loaded gun wont set you free.
So you say.
Well share a drink and step outside,
An angry voice and one who cried,
well give you everything and more,
The strains too much, cant take much more.
Oh, Ive walked on water, run through fire,
Cant seem to feel it anymore.
It was me, waiting for me,
Hoping for something more,
Me, seeing me this time, hoping for something else.

Illileo

Illileo, the moonlight seemed lost across the vales--
The stars but strewed the azure as an armor's scattered scales;
The airs of night were quiet as the breath of silken sails,
And all your words were sweeter than the notes of nightingales.

Illileo Legardi, in the garden there alone,
With your figure carved of fervor, as the Psyche carved of stone,
There came to me no murmur of the fountain's undertone
So mystically, musically mellow as your own.

You whispered low, Illileo-- so low the leaves were mute,
And the echoes faltered breathless in your voice's vain pursuit;
And there died the distant dalliance of the serenader's lute:
And I held you in my bosom as the husk may hold the fruit.

Illileo, I listened. I believed you. In my bliss,
What were all the worlds above me since I found you thus in this--?
Let them reeling reach to win me-- even Heaven I would miss,
Grasping earthward--! I would cling here, though I clung by just a kiss.

And blossoms should grow odorless-- and lilies all aghast--
And I said the stars should slacken in their paces through the vast,
Ere yet my loyalty should fail enduring to the last--.
So vowed I. It is written. It is changeless as the past.

IIlileo Legardi, in the shade your palace throws
Like a cowl about the singer at your gilded porticos,
A moan goes with the music that may vex the high repose
Of a heart that fades and crumbles as the crimson of a rose.
