Only Faith Has Power To Oppose Evil?
you are not listening God you do not listen
when your children the human race cry out
in hunger in pain in desperation in agonies torment
why do you let demon seed rise to power Nazi tyrants?
why do you let good be tested tried fail in hopelessness?

Childhoods End
Id sail across the ocean
Id walk a hundred miles
If I could make it to the end
Oh just to see a smile
You see it in their faces
The sadness in their tears
The desperation and the anger
Madness and the fear
No hope, no life, just pain and fear
No food, no love, just greed is here
Starvation and the hunger
The suffering and the pain
The agonies of all - out war
When will it come again
The struggle for the power
A tyrant strikes again
Just what the hell is going on
When will it ever end
No hope, no life, just pain and fear
No food, no love, just greed is here
You see the full moon float
You watch the red sun rise
We take these things for granted
But somewhere someones dying
Contaminated waters
Pollution and decay
Just waitng for disease to stike
Oh will we learn someday?
No hope, no life, just pain and fear
No food, no love, no seed
Childhoods end

Refusing to Become Anyone's 'Grief' Co-pilot
I don't drip or sob tears.
Like some who have a gift for it.
I am exposed everyday...
To pain and sorrow.
Hopelessness shared.
Among those with their agonies to borrow.
I've been tested by wickedness.
With prehaps more of it to come.
But I will not succumb to shiftlessness.
Or become attracked to those...
With nothing but pity on their lips.
I am here to taste happiness.
And if I am alone...
That's just more of it I will come to like.
Refusing to become anyone's 'grief' co-pilot!
And if you are about to take off?
You can have the runway.
And from it...
Take WAY off!
With no concern if I'd like to see you land again!

Rise Ye! Rise Ye!
Rise Ye! rise ye! noble toilers! claim your rights with fire and steel!
Rise ye! for the cursed tyrants crush ye with the hiron ’eel!
They would treat ye worse than sl-a-a-ves! they would treat ye worse than brutes!
Rise and crush the selfish tyrants! ku-r-rush them with your hob-nailed boots!
Rise ye rise ye glorious toilers
Rise ye rise ye noble toilers!
Erwake! er-rise!
Rise ye! rise ye! noble toilers! tyrants come across the waves!
Will ye yield the Rights of Labour? will ye? will ye still be sl-a-a-ves?
Rise ye! rise ye! mighty toilers! and revoke the rotten laws!
Lo! your wives go out a-washing while ye battle for the caws!
Rise ye! rise ye glorious toilers!
Rise ye! rise ye noble toilers!
Erwake! er-rise!
Our gerlorious dawn is breaking! Lo! the tyrant trembles now!
He will sta-a-rve us here no longer! toilers will not bend or bow!
Rise ye! rise ye! noble toilers! rise! behold, revenge is near;
See the leaders of the people! come an’ ’ave a pint o’ beer!
Rise ye! rise ye! noble toilers!
Rise ye! rise ye! glorious toilers!
Erwake! er-rise!
Lo! the poor are starved, my brothers! lo! our wives and children weep!
Lo! our women toil to keep us while the toilers are asleep!
Rise ye! rise ye! noble toilers! rise and break the tyrant’s chain!
March ye! march ye! mighty toilers! even to the battle plain!
Rise ye! rise ye! noble toilers!
Rise ye! rise ye! noble toilers!
Erwake! er-r-rise!

Faith Proves
Faith proves complex when tested
Sweet when manifested
Faith fills needs to break through
Tested it seemly sinks to depths blue
Faith is a glowing light in a dark tunnel
Faith tested is a dead ending channel
Faith is a destined escape
Faith tested loses all form and shape
Faith is the cry to all battles
Yet tested falls about in loose shambles
Faith is wholesome and complete
Yet tested it feels so much like defeat
Faith moves mountains
Faith tested seems like bondage constrains
Faith is a well planted seed
Yet tested the feeling is hopeless indeed

Who's Next?
with every swing of the hammer
that drove the nails,
into His feet, into His hands,
He felt...
the hunger of starving children,
the pain of those sick,
the lost agony of the homeless,
the shame of the beaten...
the repentence of the fallen,
the last hope of the downtrodden.
the dignity of the poor,
the torment of those in chains...
take Him off of that cross!
it's our turn to be human.
time to be who we are,
or to be nothing at all...
who's next?

Listen My Children
listen to what i have to say
my children listen to what i have to say
i weep for you all the time
yes i do
i see and feel you your pain
so please stretch out your hand and ley me help you
let me light your way through the darkness leading you to happiness
listen to what i have to say
my children listen to what your father has to say
i want to rain my blessings down upon you
and heal you when ever you're ill
my children come to me don't stray to the wrong path
what i can give you is more precious than gold or anything else
and that is a fact
my children listen to my voice
i love you
i care for you
i'll never leave you
i'm always here for you
listen! listen to what i am saying i'mwaiting for you my children

Either way one is restless
Power of hunger in some is so deep
that it is insatiate with rich food.
Power of lust in some is likewise.
It does not rest with an able better half.
Hunger for power or sex in some is so,
And never deplete though fed, till the end.
Power of hunger, power of lust
and hunger for power, hunger for lust
are restless and endless.

PAIN..The DEMON........
Pain is the only thing,
I feel anymore,
pain is the demon,
knocking at the door.
Pain is the only thing,
I feel is alive,
pain is the demon,
that makes up my whole life.
Pain is the only thing,
that proves the world is real,
pain is the demon,
hiding in the fields.
Pain is the demon,
hiding in the shadows,
pain is the demon,
that makes the world so shallow.
Pain controls us all,
whether we realize it or not,
pain is the demon,
that controls life.! !

Children Power
Children power,
Children power,
Children power,
Children power.
Monkeys are jumping from tree to tree,
Whales are swimming from sea to sea,
Birds are flying from sky to sky,
People are seeing eye to eye.
Were all one.
Children power, (children power)
Children power, (children power)
Children power, (children power)
Children power. (children power)
Earth is turning evry day,
Rivers are flowing in every way.
Trees are growing day by day,
And people are loving in their own way.
Were all one.
Children power, (children power)
Children power, (children power)
Children power, (children power)
Children power, (children power)
Children power, (children power)
Children power, (children power)
Children power, (children power)
Children power. (children power)
Caring people, (caring people)
Loving people, (loving people)
Learning people, (learning people)
Growing people, were all one.

To the Tsar
O Thou into whose human hand is given
A godlike might! who, for thy earthly hour,
Above reproof, self-counseled and self-shriven,
Wieldest o'er regions vast despotic power!
Mortal, who by a breath,
A look, a hasty word, as soon forgot,
Commandest energies of life and death!—
Midst terrors dread, that darkly multiply,
Wilt thou thy vision blind, and listen not
Whilst unto Heaven ascends thy people's cry?
In vain, in vain! The injuries they speak
Down unto final depths their souls have stirr'd:
The aged plead through them, the childish-weak,
The mad, the dying,—and they shall be heard!
Thou wilt not hear them; but,
Though Heaven were hedged about with walls of
stone,
And though with brazen gates forever shut,
And sentried 'gainst petitions of despair,
'T were closely guarded as thy fearful throne,
That cry of helpless wrong should enter there!
O Majesty! 'T is great to be a king,
But greater is it yet to be a man!
The exile by far Lena perishing,
The captive in Kara who bears thy ban,
Ransomed at length and free,
Shall rise from torments that make heroes strong;
Shall rise, as equal souls, to question thee;
And for defense there nothing shall endure
Of all which to thy lofty state belong,
Save that thou hast of human, brave, and pure!
Cæsar, thou still art man, and serv'st a King
Who wields a power more terrible than thine!
Slow, slow to anger, and long-suffering,
He hears his children cry, and makes no sign:
He hears them cry, but, oh!
Imagine not his tardy judgments sleep,
Or that their agonies He doth not know
Who, hidden, waste where tyrants may not see!
Eternal watch He over them doth keep,—
Eternal watch,— and Russia shall be free!

Pain & Suffering
pain and suffering
turn things to blood
a power floats
upside down in a river of mud
a skull of a goat
makes love to you
you're my doll
a pet who meows
and blood and hate
the blood that's everywhere
suffering, i am terminating this world
i'm your father now
no more shelter, no more fun
human race, you're going to writhe now
heh heh heh heh
i am angry
a tall building fell on daddy
pain and suffering
i am destruction
i am angry
i am total
(growl)
pain and suffering
the pain, the pain
no birds are singing
here comes armageddon
no more shelter
no more fun
human race
i've got you

Hope
Without hope the human race would simply not exist.
There would be no pain, no fate, no destiny or death.
For hope is a part of life itself, it defines the human race.
Without it doom would engulf our very existance.
Pain, sorrow and despair only serve to breed new hope.
Even as man's destructive war machine rages there is hope.
Hope for a life bereft of hunger, hatred and prejudice.
Or even a hope to die a swift and painless death.
All of mans dreams are born upon the wings of hope...
Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Do You Know What It's Like?
do you know what it's like...
to have nowhere to go,
nowhere to turn,
no one to talk to,
no one who cares,
no one who will listen?
to lose everything you've worked for?
to be homeless, hungry, and broke?
to feel the anger of hopelessness?
to act out of desperation?
think for a moment tonite...
do you know how many people
are in this position?
these people are just like you!
and but for a simple twist of fate,
you could be there too!
do you know what it's like?
do you give a damn?

Best New Face
Written by tommy shaw and jack blades
Lead vocals by tommy shaw
Lets go.
I dont know where I found you
I dont know where you been
All I know is you got me
In the shape Im in
Youre the message in the bottle
Youre the deluxe model
I havent been so affected
Since I dont know when
Yeah (yeah), whoa yeah (whoa yeah)
Youre the best new face
In the human race
(I said) yeah, whoa yeah
Youre the best new face
In the human race
You look so real
When you ask me to feel
Yeah youre so damn convincing
Digging in your heels
If your persuasion attack
Leaves me flat on my back
You can ride me off to ruin
While the whole world cracks
(said) yeah (yeah), whoa yeah (whoa yeah)
Youre the best new face
In the human race
(I said) yeah, whoa yeah
Youre the best new face
In the human race
Speak of the devil
And look who appears
Hes cranking up the level
In between your ears
But hes so frustrated
Cause he cant get a rise
Out of someone whos reflecting
Heaven in their eyes
I see heaven in your eyes.
(you look so good)
Yeah (yeah), whoa yeah (whoa yeah)
Youre the best new face
In the human race
(I said) yeah, whoa yeah
Youre the best new face
In the human race
(said) yeah (yeah), whoa yeah (yeah, whoa yeah)
Youre the best new face
In the human race
Yeah, whoa yeah (oh yeah)
Youre the best new face
In the human race (best new face).

Hunger For Power
Rational human beings irrational in other ways
Betraying each other in an unfriendly race
All they do is think for themselves
Ask them for some help and they'll tell you to go to Hell
Welcome to the brutal world
Vehemence, the way it goes
Rejoicing for the disgrace of the succesful one
The jealousy is the weapon of the incompetent bum
So if you think you've got your best frined
You better look back, you never know what he might do next
The anger is built in silence
It's gonna cause some ignorant violence
That's a goal rule number one
To achieve in command
What they've done in the past
You're gonna let'em pay back
I wonder why you do to others
What you don't want them doing to you
If prejudice has a value in life
Evil would rule you too
Remember for all the bad things you commit
You're gonna pay with the same coin, you damn fool
Breaking the barrier between patience and rage
That are controlling you
Now you're feeling what your best friend was going through
That's the way the circle of life
Has been for many years ago people are so greedy
When they're in trouble, they look for you
You can't lose this society battle
Evil plans are coming to your mind
To fight back, a sabotage
That has happened many times
CHORUS
Hunger for power
When you die
All you have
Won't go with you
Hunger for power
Stupid fight
You better stand straight
Or you might fall
CHORUS
Hunger for power
You'll never know
What might happen
To us all
Hunger for power
When you die
All you have
Won't go with you

We have suffered unnumbered ills and crimes in the name of the Law of the Land. Our men, women, and children have suffered not only the basic brutality of stoop labor, and the most obvious injustices of the
system; they have also suffered the desperation of knowing that the system caters to the greed of callous men and not to our needs. Now we will suffer for the purpose of ending the poverty, the misery, and the injustice, with the hope that our children will not be exploited as we have been. They have imposed hunger on us, and now we hunger for justice. We draw our strength from the very despair in which we have been forced to live. We shall endure.

Lightscapes of Eternity
In the face
Of hopelessness
I stand for hope.
In the face
Of torment
I will not cry.
In the face
Of darkness
I see the light.
In the face
Of death
I see new life.
And when the dawn
Of new worlds rise
I see the beauty of eternity
Reflected in a newborns eyes.

Looking East
Standing in the ocean with the sun burning low in the west
Like a fire in the cavernous darkness at the heart of the beast
With my beliefs and possessions, stopped at the frontier in my chest
At the edge of my country, my back to the sea, looking east
Where the search for the truth is conducted with a wink and a nod
And where power and position are equated with the grace of god
These times are famine for the soul while for the senses its a feast
From the edge of my country, as far as you see, looking east
Hunger in the midnight, hunger at the stroke of noon
Hunger in the mansion, hunger in the rented room
Hunger on the tv, hunger on the printed page
And theres a god-sized hunger underneath the laughing and the rage
In the absence of light
And the deepening night
Where I wait for the sun
Looking east
How long have I left my mind to the powers that be?
How long will it take to find the higher power moving in me?
Power in the insect
Power in the sea
Power in the snow falling silently
Power in the blossom
Power in the stone
Power in the song being sung alone
Power in the wheatfield
Power in the rain
Power in the sunlight and the hurricane
Power in the silence
Power in the flame
Power in the sound of the lovers name
The power of the sunrise and the power of a prayer released
On the edge of my country, I pray for the ones with the least
Hunger in the midnight, hunger at the stroke of noon
Hunger in the banquet, hunger in the bride and groom
Hunger on the tv, hunger on the printed page
And theres a god-sized hunger underneath the questions of the age
And an absence of light
In the deepening night
Where I wait for the sun
Looking east
