Mute Requiem
Over there lies the body,
Of false hopes and unfulfilled desires.
It inspires only loathing
Silence, irony
Becomes it's only testimony,
Contrary to the envisioned outcome and the desired result
Pity, this final outcry for sympathy
Committed with such self-indulgent finality, is doomed to failure.
So pathetic, unreversable and blind...
Irony and contempt
For the failed life
Seems fitting of this Mute Requiem...
Emptiness cries out my name!
Emptiness cries out my name
In vain
As i turn my back and walk away
Maggots
Assemble
To begin their song.

Real art is without irony. Irony distances the author from his material. Irony is a product of something. It's not the reason for doing something. Irony is a cheap shot.

Emptiness Is Both An Illusion And An Irony
emptiness is always an illusion
which carries with it an irony.
when i look at it, as its content shows,
it has nothing
bare hands, opening fingers,
an empty transparent ball, it can
tell your future, it can dig your
past,
thinking that it is spacious, i went
inside it, pierce myself though it
only to find that that are so many
crowding elements in there and they
are choking me and you who is looking
outside it, thinks that nothing is happening
but then the struggle is horrible, quick
and even deadly, so many hang themselves in
empty air, and lose their lives, because
you cannot see the body of breathing,
when you learn to live with it however,
you become full, emptiness is its irony,
its antithesis, for how can you ever be full
if you have never known how to empty yourself?
the face of emptiness is a mist, and you touch
it, you will hold a forest, so many black birds,
myriad exotic orchids, so many blending sounds of
trees screaming, of creeks flowing of waterfalls
cascading that you can relate to the locks of
your hair and the hairs of your armpits,
inside it is too personal to be told, outside it
are so many denials with the faces of the people
that you have loved before, and then you decide
to stay at a distance, you are like a tree
dark as a shadow, counting the hours
when the sun finally fades away.

Cries In Vain
Your cries in vain,
When you look in my eyes what do you see,
My deep sorrows within,
My cries in vain,
Can’t you see how much you hurt me,
You made me cry for you,
Cries in vain that won’t go away,
Take it all away,
I see you looking,
I see that you are fading,
You are a mere ghost to me,
My sorrows within my tears that you cause me to shed,
I waited too long to cry again and again,
I sit back and hold on tight that I won’t cry ever again,
But when I see you,
I cry,
Can’t you see cries are in vain,
WAKE UP,
And now look at me and tell me what do you see,
All you ever will see is me cry in vain.

I Cried and Stood Upon the Fading Landscape as the Snowstorm Pierced My Heart
With every smile I fake, another part of me
Dies inside, projections of emptiness and utter
Misery appear before me, and scream
Relentlessly for eternity. Candlelit shadows,
My nonexistent soul walks the path of failure,
I see nothing ahead, wrapped around my throat are
The hands of life, the irony pours down from my eyes.
Repress this agony, ignore the fading colors of the sun,
Keep fooling myself into this false realm of empty hope,
And the orchids froze into the blooming December sky.

Justify
To add justice,
I did not scream nor cry,
I instead called,
“Irony.”
Yes,
Irony.
The strange noun that bites and slaps when least expected.
So, to justify,
I called Irony.
I would like it to be shown, to the court at least, that I did nothing wrong,
nor nothing right.
I called his name,
when he was gone from sight.
I whispered my wisdom,
to a deaf and blind old fool,
I gave my only love,
To one who would never love at all.
So,
To justify,
I believe I did not lose,
I just didn't win.
That is often the case with irony.

The Lonely Girl
She was born alone
Grew up alone
Played alone
walks alone
cries alone
lies alone
She may even die alone.
She seems so solemn, intense, pensive, negative.
People think she is arrogant, self righteous and self serving.
She is not looking for pity or sympathy, she does not want people to feel sorry for her, she's just looking for a little empathy, she does not think of herself as a martyr, she is just treated that way.
When she cries for help, everyone turns their back on her, when things become to difficult for people to understand or accept, they walk away from her, they fear her.
She yearns friendship, she craves companionship, she wants someone to hold her and tell her everything is going to be OK.
The lonely girl.
She is alone!

The Silence Is Emptiness
THE SILENCE IS EMPTINESS
The silence is emptiness
But emptiness is not peace.
The silence is emptiness
The emptiness of ‘nothing to say’.
The silence is the end of who I am.
All I began as
Has come to only this-
The silence.

Can't Really Get Enough Of Love Babe
once i have it, there is this irony, i give it away,
i wish, i dream, i work to have what i do not have yet
once it is in my hand, there is this irony, i throw it away.
the paradox of feelings, i had this joy, long time ago, and
i let it go, and i wish it comes back to me, like a memory of someone
too far away, i spend life like it is not life at all, i wish death, like death is life,
like it is not like, this is the irony of my life,
hating and loving and hating and loving, until, everything is gone
i have nothing and then i feel so complete.

A Natural Reaction
A reprobate? Who, me?
What's up with that?
Don't ask me to cozy up
and be your pal, please!
If I wanted, I could wreak
havoc on the whole crew!
By the way, can you define
irony for me?
Yes, I said irony!
I don't think you understand
the uses of irony, do you?

My Lonely Heart
My lonely heart
Holds much despair
Emptiness
Emptiness
Is often found there
My pillow is filled
With tears and fears
Though we've been married
For eighteen years
My lonely heart
Cries night and day
My husband's love
Seems miles away
Though we're together
Day by Day
My lonely heart
Cries night and days
Is there any
Consolation
For my lonely heart?

Nothing?
you are everything i have
the sun where every planet in me
revolves
you are every space i have
and i am lost
in your vastness
shine on me
find me
light the darkness that engulfs me
touch me
make me live again
i am nothing without you
you are the sun and i am the emptiness that surrounds
your brightness
fill me
i am this emptiness that completes
the abundance of your heat and light
do not doubt
i am the space that completes you
and this is the irony
the paradox of which without me you are nothing too

I Stop And Wait/For A Poem
I Stop And Wait/ For A Poem
I stop and wait
For a poem.
The poem does not come
The city says ‘Morning beauty’
The silence is a sadness unsayable -
Light is lovely
Isn’t it?
Irony Irony Irony-
I write these lines
As if I actually believe
I am writing poetry
And doing something.

Jerusalem
The highways screamin, callin out your name
Cause every road that you travel on
Theres a price to pay
A thousand eyes are starin
But the blind still lead the blind
Where will you turn if it all goes wrong
And youre on the run jerusalem?
You say you walked through the valley
You say youve seen the signs
Echoes call you from a distant age
Or is it in your mind?
Then a thousand souls rise from the sea
Holding up the sun
And an angel cries beware your lies
It could be the end of it all
Where will you turn if it all goes wrong
And youre on the run jerusalem?
Everybody knows your name, every road leads to anger
Will it always be the same, is there reason to return?
Where will you turn if it all goes wrong
And youre on the run jerusalem?
When an angel cries - jerusalem
Better watch your lies - jerusalem
When an angel cries - jerusalem

How Does One Hear The Echoes Of Silence?
silence. Does not speak, silence is dead.
it is buried underneath the mouth,
and simply rots there, like dust,
with worms. It will be the worms
that shall utter silence, but at the end
silence is devoured
and gone.
what you hear and see is this
emptiness. it has feet and walks in air.
and tinkers in space, some moods and
feelings, fleeing, fleeting,
this emptiness speaks a lot
some words turning themselves
from elves to giants to cyclops
to monsters of the universe
where this emptiness dwells
it is in my heart, always, resounding,
with lots of echoes as it reaches
the walls of the farthest planet
and comes back to me
like the twinkling of a star.
and then i am full.

Void
Don’t you feel the void
In your eyes?
Don’t your eyes well up
When she cries?
It’s been years…
You’ve seen her.
She knows that you
Miss her.
So why live a life
Full of lies?
Why deny these ties…
Under your deceptive guise?
Do you wait to see the day
She dies…
To bid her those final
Goodbyes?
Unlike the sun and the moon
Once she sets in her ashes,
She’ll never rise.
Even if your heart then
Cries and cries…

Wordless Silence
Yes, your name was sliced off
from the impasse. I will stand with you
to track the continental drift. How little
I knew about you and the prosthetic words.
Again and again I return to ruins, and
the dust and crumbling absence. Eyes
will speak for the wordless silence now.
Who will tell the truth for the murdered
thought? The cognitive silence? You don’t
want to see the light. The soul sits outside
the body. Pollution hits the mind. The words
eat the emptiness of facts and lies. A vertical
descent of speech.I should not have
listened to cries.
A memory moves in zigzag manner, accepts
the odyssey of man’s failing gods.

The Wind Cries Mary
After all the jacks are in their boxes
and the clowns have all gone to bed
You can hear happiness staggering on down the street
footprints dressed in red
and the wind wispers mary
A broom is drearily sweeping
up the broken pieces of yesterdays life
Somewhere a queen is weeping
Somewhere a king has no wife
And the wind wispers Mary
The traffic lights turn blue tomorrow
and shine their emptiness down, down on my bed
The tiny island sags downstream
'cause the life that lived is, is dead
And the wind screams Mary
And the wind cries Mary
Will the wind ever remember
the names it has blown in the past
with its crutch, its old age, and its wisdom
it whispers "no, this won't be the last"
And the wind cries Mary
And the wind cries Mary

Mother Sky Cries
Mother sky cries when the leaves turn from green to gold
Mother sky cries when the leaves die and the weather turns cold
Mother sky cries when the earth turns warm and the body sweats
Mother sky cries and leaves the heart scorned and the skin wet
Mother sky cries and father cloud mourns
Mother sky cries and baby flower is born

The Needle Lies
[ spoken ] nikki: Ive had enough and I want out!
Dr. x: you cant walk away now.
I looked back once
And all I saw was his face
Smiling, the needle crying
Walking out of his room
With mirrors, afraid I heard him scream
Youll never get away
Cold and shaking
I crawled down alleys to try
And scrape away the tracks that marked me
Slammed my face into walls of concrete
I stared, amazed at the words written on the wall
Dont ever trust
Dont ever trust the needle, it lies
Dont ever trust
Dont ever trust the needle when it cries...
Cries your name
Wet and raving
The needle keeps calling me back
To bloody my hands forever
Carved my cure with the blade
That left me in scars
Now every time Im weak
Words scream from my arm
Dont ever trust
Dont ever trust the needle, it lies
Dont ever trust
Dont ever trust the needle when it cries...
Cries your name
Dont ever trust
Dont ever trust the needle, it lies
Dont ever trust
Dont ever trust the needle when it cries...
Cries your name

There Is A Time When One Has Nothing Inside
THERE IS A TIME WHEN ONE HAS NOTHING INSIDE
There is a time when one has nothing inside
No birds sing
No longings demand their realization
Only the endless emptiness
Of what one has never been
The endless ambition to be
Without knowing what to be
Nothing inside
Endless hopelessness
Little fear
Waiting
No poem either
Nothing inside
But only
Emptiness
And more Emptiness
Like these lines
So small
So pathetic
So unworthy of ‘Poetry’
As if one’s life too
Were a meaningless passing of nothingness to nothing else.
