You're My Evergreen

The words we say, old flowers fade away
Remember yesterday, wish it would bloom again
Apathy and pain, here comes the autumn rain
Old apologies scattered in the wings of fate
Cause today it all looks black and white, wish it would change
We can't keep painting colours when its
Don't hesitate, cause you will bleed
A thousand tears won't wash it clean
Don't hesitate cause you can free yourself
Evergreen, evergreen
Down on my knees, crawling though the streets again
Surrendered to my needs, so i can breathe the air
You're my evergreen, regents park in spring
It takes me to a place, where i can dream again
Cause today it all looks black and white, wish it would change
We can't keep painting colours when it rains
I just want some place where i can breathe without this bitter taste
Cause today it all looks black and white, wish it would change
We can't keep painting colours when it's grey
It all looks black and white today
You're my evergreen, regents park in spring
It takes me to a place, where i can dream again
Cause today it all looks black and white, wish it would change
We can't keep painting colours when it rains
Evergreen, evergreen, evergreen

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Traffic lights shinning in my eyes,
And here I am standing in the rain
Counting every dropp that fell in my palm.
The Cold breeze frozen my body
Like yesterday when you left me in vain
On were I can’t stand from all the pain.
That was yesterday I could still remember.
Yesterday, I was stood under the burning rain.
Were my heart was freezing under the sun
When all the blue and woe has passed my way
And those autumn leaves are my shelter
On the broken tree house of memory
That my heart is getting weak,
And it’s hard for me to breathe.
That was yesterday, I was dazzle in lights of lies.

And today,
The sun grimaces in the early morn
Were the world embrace me from the past
That beauty blooms here inside my heart
Spring’s blossoms comes only a second of time
For today, loves grown deep in the heart of me
Voices tell me I should carry on
To hold the stars up in the sky
And see the world will smile again.
Today, my heart will dance again

For tomorrow,
Love will bloom like flowers in spring
A sweet smile will curve in my lips
Tomorrow, I’ll be strong as a wind
Dance on a game of love,
Swaying on a battle of life.

Fade Away From Me

Fade Away From Me

Fading away from me,
Walking through the rain,
Never passing to remember the sun,
Never looking at the sky to remember the blue,
You only walk away from me,
And fade away.

The agony has left my mind,
All I can do is stand in silence,
As you leave me behind,
In a world of nothing,
Leaving me in the nothing that remains,
The hardest part is seeing you fade away.

Rain falls around me,
Hiding the pain of watching you walk into tomorrow,
As I stand trapped in today.
Tears fall invisible in the rain,
I feel them flowing down my cheeks rain cooling where they fall,
Yet you only fade away.

Nothing hurts me so than you walking past everything we knew,
As you say goodbye,
You were my everything and now I see you walking away,
Although it can not be helped,
It can not be stopped,
As you fade away.

I must accept that you could not stay,
Your time here was over,
And soon in heaven you will lay,
But still it hurts me so seeing you walking away,
Seeing that you have become a spirit of what was,
As I watch you fade to grey.

Yesterday/Today

Yesterday, I walked
Today, I run.
Yesterday, I fell
Today, I soar.
Yesterday, I frowned
Today, I smile.
Yesterday, I forgot
Today, I remember.
Yesterday, I wondered
Today, I know.
Yesterday, I dreamt that Today i would

Remember Tomorrow

When that's all we have
Yesterday grows
And today becomes the past

Remember the sorrow
Everyone has over things
They wish they made last...

Oh, remember
I will remember

Remember the time
When life lived over slow
Tomorrow seems so far away
Today was all we know

Remember when we wanted to
Grow up way so fast
now yesterday's full
Of all thats lost away now casts

Do you friend remember
Now that tomorrow's gone
And all that's left of today
Is yesterday's timeless song

Life

I've seen the light and I've
seen the fate
And I walked away
Still I'm ok
I remember the pain inside
from the day when my mother died
Never went away
It's still here today
[Chorus]
Ya born alone
Ya die alone
And still we live on
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
And my baby he went to sleep
in his mother's arms we pray to keep
He shyed away
He never lived a day
Best friend call me up to say
with a gun in his hand said he's goin' crazy
Said you'll be ok
he still died the next day
[Chorus]
Ya born alone
Ya die alone
And still we live on
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
I stood in line
I've lost my pride
I've made the change
I'm a better man today
Death brings life
Still we try
To live a better way
Before your dyin day
[Chorus]
Ya born alone
Ya die alone
And still we live on
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
Yea yea
Yesterday is a memory
But today
it's a bitch
[fades]
Yea yea
Yesterday is a memory
tomorrow is a vision...

Under One Small Star

My apologies to chance for calling it necessity.
My apologies to necessity if I'm mistaken, after all.
Please, don't be angry, happiness, that I take you as my due.
May my dead be patient with the way my memories fade.
My apologies to time for all the world I overlook each second.
My apologies to past loves for thinking that the latest is the first.
Forgive me, distant wars, for bringing flowers home.
Forgive me, open wounds, for pricking my finger.
I apologize for my record of minuets to those who cry from the depths.
I apologize to those who wait in railway stations for being asleep today at five a.m.
Pardon me, hounded hope, for laughing from time to time.
Pardon me, deserts, that I don't rush to you bearing a spoonful of water.
And you, falcon, unchanging year after year, always in the same cage,
your gaze always fixed on the same point in space,
forgive me, even if it turns out you were stuffed.
My apologies to the felled tree for the table's four legs.
My apologies to great questions for small answers.
Truth, please don't pay me much attention.
Dignity, please be magnanimous.
Bear with me, O mystery of existence, as I pluck the occasional thread from your train.
Soul, don't take offense that I've only got you now and then.
My apologies to everything that I can't be everywhere at once.
My apologies to everyone that I can't be each woman and each man.
I know I won't be justified as long as I live,
since I myself stand in my own way.
Don't bear me ill will, speech, that I borrow weighty words,
then labor heavily so that they may seem light.

Today is better than Yesterday

Yesterday

Yesterday, I was running with to feet
Yesterday, I was playing with kids
Yesterday, I was kicking the ball
Yesterday, I had it all, all was mine.

Yesterday, I was growing well,
Yesterday, I had it all undercover
Yesterday was my day
Yesterday, my days were

Yesterday, I had a lover, ‘true lover’
Yesterday, promises were made
Yesterday, promises were not kept
Yesterday, I was happy.

Yesterday, I gave him everything
Yesterday, I sacrificed everything
Yesterday, I was a fool
Yesterday, I was dying

Today

Today, I am lying in bed
Today, I am watching hopeless kids
Today, I can hardly move
Today, everything is falling

Today, I am dying in bed
Today, it is all wrong
Today, is not my day
Today, my days are not

Today, I have no one
Today, promises are broken
Today, promises are not
Today, I have no hope

Today, I long for myself
Today, I cry over spilled milk
Today, I am wise
Today, I live

Whatever happened yesterday is not
Whatever was, is not
Whatever was broken can be fixed
Whatever wound are, can be healed
Just need the Perfect Healer

Jesus I know you are! ! !

Autumn Rain

While I sit here and ponder
I don’t see I’m drowning in my pain,
I was blinded by the sorrow
My tears have left a pool and a stain,

My heart was left broken
My mind was in a darkened haze
I’m sitting here dwelling in my final phase
Far away from my glory days

Ingrained in my mind
Are deep memories of pain,
The days of yesteryear bridges never fade away
A painful tragedy like thunder in my veins

But never are they washed away by the rain,
They embody me and so are here to stay
I lost myself so long ago
There’s no one I can blame

Autumn rain falls on me with
An eternal sunrise that never climbs
Autumn rain coming down
Another shattered soul in the lost and found

I feel I’m vanishing, vanishing gone
In autumn rain
I feel I’m vanishing, vanishing gone
In autumn rain

Autumn Rain

From out the dying forest,
a somber melody is echoed.
And the silent winds of time turn the page,
a dreary chapter follows.

It's a reminder of one soul's failure
to capture the sun of yesterday.
An ill and unwanted visitor,
foreshadowing the autumn rain.

Soon all that lives so lusciously green,
in nature, begins to turn.
And the familiar russet scene of change
will tragically confirm;

Such horrid thoughts and feelings still remain,
as downward falls the dreadful autumn rain.

Downfalls autumn rain from shallow skies,
to flood the heart with sorrow,
and the eyes without disguise.
To drown the soul who smiles a smile in vain.

Downfall autumn rain.
Let the withering wilt,
and all that is serene,
fade.

Looking For Jane

(words & music: per gessle)
Published by hiphappy
Where did she go?
Where did she go from here?
The last time I saw her
She made all the clouds disappear
She said, with a smile,
Yea, the weathers alright
She left her coat at home that night
Where do I begin today?
Where do colours never fade?
In the sunshine, in the rain
Its quite the same
Its never gonna change
Ill be looking for jane
Why did she come?
Why did she come to me?
There must have been millions
In the world shed rather see
At least in my mind
As time has gone by
Its always harder to laugh then to cry
Where do I begin today? (ba-ba-ba)
Where the colours never fade (ba-ba-ba)
In the sun and in the rain
Its quite the same
Its never gonna change
Ill be looking for jane
Where do I begin today? (ba-ba-ba)
Where the sunshine never fades (ba-ba-ba)
In the sun and in the rain
Its quite the same
Its never gonna change
Ill be looking for jane
Where do I begin today?
Where the colours never fade
In the sun and in the rain
Its quite the same
Its never gonna change
Ill be looking for jane
Where do I begin today?
Where the sun will never fade
In the sun and in the rain
Its quite the same
Its never gonna change
Ill be looking for jane
In the sunshine in the rain
Its quite the same
Its never gonna change
Ill be looking for jane

My Depression

Yesterday I made you upset
Today I feel so ungrateful
Tomorrow I'll say I'm sorry

Yesterday I was alone
Today I analyse why
Tomorrow I'll try and forget

Yesterday I said nasty things
Today I cant remember a word
Tomorrow I'll make it up to you

Yesterday I had no energy
Today I'm told I'm lazy
Tomorrow I need to search for motivation

Yesterday I said goodbye
Today I walked out of your life
Tomorrow I'll just have happy memories

Fade Away

Caught between the dusk and dawn
I numb myself to death yet I'm awake
I'm running out of alcohol
I shouldn't feel a thing yet all I feel is hate
I realise as the night goes by this is not the first time
This maddening pain keeps me awake I need to fade away all I feel is hate
I wish that I'd just fade away, fade away, fade away
I can't cope with all this hate, all this hate, all this hate
I'm so tired still awake, still awake, still awake
Finally I fade away, fade away, fade away
I pour another drink coz I can still think
And won't stop aching 'til I'm out of my head
That ticking clock is killing me
I wish that I was dead it wouldn't be too bad
I hope you're fine and well, I say
I wouldn't want it any other way
So please tell me how do you feel
Now tell me how's the league, tell me how's the league
I can tell I fade away, fade away, fade away
I'm stuck here just like yesterday, yesterday, yesterday
I miss those jam and pancake days you would shower and I would bade
It feels like I just fade away, fade away, fade away, away
I wish that I'd just...

It's Autumn Again

It’s autumn again
Leaves whisper the sound of our past
In loss they pay a descent
To the ground we fall

It’s autumn again
Our song is sung by the wind
Echoes of loss and grief
Through chilled air we wade

It’s autumn again
The waters grow as cold as our hearts
We are alike – crusted in ice
In ourselves we freeze

It’s autumn again
Flowers vanish from our sadness
Our beauty grows weak
Covered in frost we wither

It’s autumn again
The rain falls like our tears
Can’t dry our eyes
From the sky we descend

It’s autumn again
The sun shines then fails like us
Our sight becomes a wintry gray
Lost in darkness we will fade

It’s autumn again

Poem about Poetry - Poetry Is Not

poetry is not the rain
poetry is how the rain
beats down on your path
poetry is not in the man
poetry is how you open
his heart with your smile
poetry is not in the flowers
poetry is how you can use them
to help your friends bloom
yesterday, today, tomorrow
poetry is not the sea
poetry is how you spread your
laughter over its surging water
and count your blessing with
every shell you pick up

I Went To Bed

I went to bed with the thought of tomorrow
but when I ' roused from sleep
I could not remember yesterday.
Its hours I could not keep.
And now tomorrow is today
and it makes me wonder why
I can't remember yesterday?
It makes me want to cry.
When I was younger and in my bed
I remembered everything.
But now my autumn years are here
and I find I cannot bring
my memory back, I fear.

Words Cause Pain

Rain drops are falling on my head
rain rain rain
it's just hiding the tears on my face
rain rain rain
why can't it hide the pain?
rain rain rain
for God sake go away and come back another day
every dropp that falls on my body hurts
what hurts more are does words that people say
sometime i just wish they just take it all away
words hurts! its causes pain! !
but people don't care
they don't care about the pain that you're feeling
having you feeling down on yourself, makes you said and cry
what they don't know is those words could make someone wants to die
next thing you know, have some one commiting suicide
this all could happen over words that people say
makes you build up this pain that you cant control
that pain that will never make you whole
it will tear you apart
rip your heart apart
those are words that'll bring tears
words that cause fears
rain rain rain
please stop!
let the sun come out
so that the world could see my pain.

The Edge Of Time

Rain never falls upon the edge of time.
Yesterday was a nightmare for me; I would awaken in hell’s brushfire
Every morning and
In the evening you sing before flames around a campfire-
I would sing songs of death and persecution and
You would sing cheering folk songs-
Tomorrow you would play with
The stones and sticks you found
By the creek side-
You are and always have been the blissful one while
I feel the tears day and night-
Once happy, forever content-
You were born under a different sign-
You never believed in signs or games we would play but
They were all I had to depend on for hope-
You grew tall and made it in this world and
I retreated into a world of my own, fabricated
For me alone- reality to me and to you, none but a delusion?
I remember rain falling upon the edge of time-
I am standing on the edge about to jump-
If you would spread your wings you would fly proudly above
The world and all of its pain and misfortune-
I would fall, being a bird with broken wings-
I remember nothing- I am burning into
None but a cinder- you have made it and have won the battle
That battle that I have lost- what is it?
It is none but fate- some people make it in this lifetime and others fail,
And their spirits die- it hardly matters how hard you try-
Some people, born to find fortune no matter how hard they fight the battles-
Others give their all and become outcasts. I am an outcast and
Rain has fallen upon my horizon-drowning me-
There is no time for salvation, I have reached the end and foresee no future-
Perhaps in another lifetime, rain in my dreams with some hope shall
Make beautiful flowers grow….

Im Ok

Once upon a time there was a girl
In her early years she had to learn
How to grow up living in a war that she called home
Never know just where to turn for shelter from the storm
Hurt me to see the pain across my mothers face
Everytime my fathers fist would put her in her place
Hearing all the yelling I would cry up in my room
Hoping it would be over soon
Bruises fade father, but the pain remains the same
And I still remember how you kept me so afraid
Strength is my mother for all the love she gave
Every morning that I wake I look back to yesterday
And Im ok
I often wonder why I carry all this guilt
When its you that helped me put up all these walls Ive built
Shadows stir at night through a crack in the door
The echo of a broken child screaming please no more
Daddy, dont you understand the damage you have done
To you its just a memory, but for me it still lives on
Bruises fade father, but the pain remains the same
And I still remember how you kept me so, so afraid
Strength is my mother for all the love she gave
Every morning that I wake I look back to yesterday
Its not so easy to forget
All the lines you left along her neck
When I was thrown against cold stairs
And every day Im afraid to come home
In fear of what I might see there
Bruises fade father but the pain remains the same
And I still remember how you kept me so afraid
Strength is my mother for all the love she gave
Every morning that I wake I look back to yesterday
And Im ok

today is the yesterday
of tomorrow
today is also the tomorrow
of yesterday

yesterday was the today
of the then tomorrow

tomorrow which is the now today
is the tomorrow of yesterday

what is yesterday's yesterday?
what is the today of today?

what will be the tomorrow of tomorrow?

yesterday made today
today is creating tomorrow
the now today will be the
yesterday of the incoming tomorrow
and that tomorrow will become today

but tomorrow is yet unknown

for there is no today without yesterday
and no yesterday without today

Drowning

Oh it sounds like a fire in store
Holding down while the tides are strong
I survive a wave but now I'm gone
How am I to change the damage done?
Maybe today, today we die [2]
Give us and take away the cries
Baby today we die
There's a fire in the wind and the oxygen
Brings a round of a .........
And I gave you the rain you claimed the sun
When I took it away you came undone
Even the rain can take the sun
Take it away and file into the light
Where everyone just waits to find
Another thing to steal that's mine
It's unbelievable human kind
It's unbelievable
It's like a pain
Pain..now
How come everybody's doing different then they've said
Complaining that their living and they'd rather be dead
Always part of the ......
So many things that he don't know
Baby today, today we die [2]
Forgive us and take away the cries
Baby today we'll die
[Reprise]
I've had hard time thinking
I've had the hardest fall
I'm drowning and now I'm sinking into it all
Remember the words of someone
Someone I used to know
Love everyone but keep them
Far from your soul
