For I am taking a bolder leap,
still holding on to memories I keep.
I look on them and make a vow
to keep them close here and now.
For what is life without these things?

I have nothing but memories of you and I,
I once cried out for you, once shed blood for you,
It didn’t bother or cared enough for you to see how much I truly cared for you,
When I go to the mall I have memories of how we first met,
When I enter the movies I have memories of you and I hold hands and watching a movie,
When I go to a certain spot I have memories of how you and I first kissed,
But this is nothing but memories of you,
When I sit out in the cold,
I told myself I won’t fall for you,
Yet I did,
I have fallen,

Memories Good, Sad and Bad
Some memories are good,
some memories are sad;
some memories are bad,
almost nightmarish in fact.
The good ones make you smile,
the sad ones make you cry,
and the bad ones make you frightened.
However, memories are memories
no matter what they are.
They are incidents of your past,
some of which you wish
never happened at all.
They are the memories
you try so hard to forget.
Unfortunately, the brain
cannot distinguish from good, sad and bad,

An Angel Came..4th Feb....
?4th February....A golden afternoon.. In my heart lingers memories of that day
Not so long ago the sweet cry that rings in my ear
Is a melody so sweet bringing thoughts of that year
Memories of my little girl happiness and pride
Her very first day at school and tears I did hide
Holding hands walking with her made me glad
Thoughts of soon a lady she be made me sad
Into her class I did go she looked straight at me
Mum please forever you must always with me be
A kiss I laid on her cheek with whispers of love
The look of trust she shared I treasure it till now

Memories

Some memories linger
Like a bad smell
Or the old proverbial penny
That keeps turning up
They become aspects of us
Part of our make up
The way we carry ourselves
Little personality traits
We act on memories
Judge the present day
Judge tomorrow and the future
And all the thereafter
In accordance with them
What was seen and known
Some memories stick

Hard to break away from

Memories in the mind
Memories are made in the mind,
and there if you search, you will find.
There in the mind, so many things,
so many memories it brings.
So many years have passed,
of our youth, away we have cast
some memories happy, some memories sad,
memories have I, when I was a lad.
Memories have I, of a dog named shep,
memories of him, when he kept in step.
Memories of my friends, when we played,
of those days, for ever memories relayed.
Memories of family and fun,
when we talked until the setting of sun.
Memories of washing our fifty-seven Ford,
and wanting things we couldn't afford.
