Rocky Raccoon-ish
Now somewhere in the black mountain hills of chicago
There lived a young boy named rocky raccoon…….(The Beatles)
Road Kill was all I wanted to have my tantalizing taste buds taste,
Raccoon, all the raccoons seemed to die waste,
Along Farm Rd.275 North or I-75 or I-94 or Highway 11,
To the gamey diner raccoon is like chicken but more it’s heaven.
Alice’s brother said to me “Didn’t you eat ‘coon before? ”
I replied “They don’t prepare the ‘coon in Hamtramck.”
But in Michigan, downriver from Detroit, they serve muskrat.
Muskrats and raccoons they’re all road kill,
I thought about and stated we eat lobster, shrimp and crab.
Which are the cockroaches and spiders of sea,
So why not, have some road kill,
you may find out that is your cup of tea.
So is the Captain and Tennille going for this delicacy?

Rocky Racoon
Now somewhere in the black mountain hills of dakota
There lived a young boy named rocky raccoon
And one day his woman ran off with another guy
Hit young rocky in the eye, rocky didnt like that
He said Im gonna get that boy
So one day he walked into town
Booked himself a room in the local saloon
Rocky raccoon checked into his room
Only to find gideons bible
Rocky had come equipped with a gun
To shoot off the legs of his rival
His rival it seems had broken his dreams
By stealing the girl of his fancy
Her name was magil and she called herself lil
But everyone knew her as nancy
Now she and her man who called himself dan
Were in the next room at the hoe down
Rocky burst in and grinning a grin
He said danny boy this is a showdown
But daniel was hot - he drew first and shot
And rocky collapsed in the corner
Now the doctor came in stinking of gin
And proceeded to lie on the table
He said rocky you met your match
And rocky said, doc its only a scratch
And Ill be better, Ill be better doc as soon as I am able
Now rocky raccoon he fell back in his room
Only to find gideons bible
Gideon checked out and he left it no doubt
To help with good rockys revival

Raccoons
In my spare time I’ve become a trapper
Raccoons are ruining my roof
(Gnawing through the tarpaper.)
They made a hole just the right fit
So big a neighbor’s cat climbed through it
I borrowed a trap from a neighbor, soon
And trapped three raccoons
A possum, a cat
And a rat
My assistant had a tie pin made out of a raccoon’s penis bone
It’s the only animal that has an appendage like stone
So in jest, I promised a raccoon to my assistant
For a birthday present
A stuffed raccoon I placed in the trap
And took it to lunch without mishap
You should have seen his face
When I walked through the door of the dining place
The cage held at arm’s length for safety it’s supposed
And the animal crouched as if escape intended
After the joke unfolded
And my assistant, properly befuddled
Got a new tie clasp

Road Kill
Caught in the glare of bright headlights,
a raccoon is struck and killed. For good
measure other cars come along and run
over the carcass, ‘til it’s wickedly flung to
the road shoulder.
Did the driver of the speeding car stop to
say a prayer for the dead creature?
Or did he just keep driving, not giving
the incident a second thought?
Come morning a crow visits the oozing carcass.
She plucks out an eye and swallows it whole,
There’s no empathy or remorse for this grisly act.
Nothing more than a crow’s full stomach that
guarantees more full stomachs back at her nest.
Somewhere in the Middle East…
A young soldier presses a red button that launches
a deadly missile toward a distant target. Like the crow,
do you think he feels empathy or remorse for his road kill?
Is this act of violence nothing more than a human animal,
trained to obey and kill?
Which of these acts of violence is the greater sin?

What
who you I say
To toy with me for a day
For a week or a month
Like me now for a minite
For an hour
FOR LUST TO DEVOUR
Damn I swallowed the seed
What indeed
Made me write something great
Like a seedless damn yankee
Blowing a redneck away
go for the gusto
That is the way
Hop on the train of truth
possum tastes better than coon
road kill will will tell you the truth
Give me a chance
To romance
Your road kill
to dance to dance to dance.
The Cat and my Hat
I have this little Bengal
Who is a kind of Angel
He watches me all Day
Makes sure I don't go Astray
But my Little Cat
Is in Love with, my Raccoon Hat?
They sit together all day Long
As if nothing could go Wrong
They love each other So
If only the Cat would Know
That the raccoon Hat
Is not, 'another Cat'!

Broken Man
When a man falls to the side of the road,
do you pick him up or just let him go,
as a piece of road kill on highway of life,
as he struggles to get up wiping away his tears,
I am a honest man doing the best I could,
but then, I have become broken,
never thought I would.

~midnight Bandit~
Well it finally happened;
A raccoon sneaked in through the cat door and ate all of Neferkitti's food!
The late night bandit bolted through the cat door just as I switched on the light in the laundry room.
Now we'll need to keep the cat door closed at night and deal with Neferkitti's frustration of not being able to go out and come in as she pleases. Is this fair to the cat? Is it fair to us? Maybe the raccoon thinks it has as much right to live here as we do. Maybe it doesn't want to be a "Second class citizen" who envies the sweet deal that Neferkitti has; Free medical and dental, central air and heat, a seemingly inexhaustible supply of food, and two doting humans who apparently have nothing better to do than to cater to her every need! Talk about a welfare state! Maybe the raccoon wonders why there isn't a little more compassion for another intelligent, furry mammal whose brothers and sisters have lived in these Oregon woods a lot longer than some upstarts from Portland who moved here to be closer to nature.

I Love Rocky Road
I hear those ice cream bells and I start to drool
Keep a couple quarts in my locker at school
Yah, but chocolates gettin old
Vanilla just leaves me cold
Theres just one flavor good enough for me, yah me
Dont gimme no crummy taste spoon
I know what I need
Baby, I love rocky road
So werent you gonna buy half a gallon, baby
I love rocky road
So have another triple scoop with me, ow
They tell me ice cream junkies are all the same
All the soda jerkers know my name
When their supple is gone
Then Ill be movin on
But Ill be back on monday afternoon, youll see
Another truck loads comin in for me, all for me
Im singin
I love rocky road
So werent you gonna buy half a gallon, baby
I love rocky road
So have another triple scoop with me, ow
(oh, make it talk)
When Im all alone, I just grab myself a cone
And if I get fat and loose my teeth thats fine with me
Just lock me in the freezer and throw away the key
Sing it
I love rocky road
So werent you gonna buy half a gallon, baby
I love rocky road
So have another triple scoop with me
I love rocky road
So werent you gonna buy half a gallon, baby
I love rocky road
So have another triple scoop with
*i love rocky road
*so werent you gonna buy half a gallon, baby
*i love rocky road
*so have another triple scoop with
*i love rocky road
*so werent you gonna buy half a gallon, baby

Crazy Lazy Mazy
Crazy, lazy Mazy was walking to school
When she came across a raccoon who wanted to play pool
Pool is lame lets play another game
said crazy, lazy Mazy
Pool is cool you must be a fool
said the raccoon
I have no time to play
Can we make it another day
said crazy, lazy Mazy
Without delay she went on her way

Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road
The chicken was undecided on whether to cross the road,
she was a short sighted chicken
who, not being able to see across the road
couldn't quite understand the advantages
of being on the other side.
People passing by the chicken
stopped to ask if she wanted to get across the road
but the chicken just clucked, indecisively,
looking very concerned as to her own
demise if she should attempt to.
After all, should she transverse the road
and avoid oncoming vehicles
she would then be stuck on the other side
but should she not, then she may well
feel unfulfilled, unaccomplished.
Not wanting to disappoint,
let down, or cause a disturbance
the chicken did a little shake,
a little flutter and hop, skipped
and jumped across the road.
A local lorry came hurtling towards her,
she saw the headlights, heard the horn
but too late! There were chicken bits
all over the place while a local
reporter took notes, writing:
We'll never know why the chicken
tried to cross that road in heavy traffic
but she was pronounced dead
on arrival at the local hospital.
They'll be no live chicken tonight.

To Kill
I want to come out
I wanna tell the world who I am
starting with you
how I felt all these years
trapped in a dark box
trying to hide who I am
who I was born to be
a killer
I feel the powerful need
the need
to kill
I feel the darkness put it’s blindfold
over my hungry eyes to confuse myself
from what’s right and wrong
I’m staving to kill
to see the fear in your helpless eyes
to hear you plead beg and
your screams of pain while I begin to cut you open
feel the power of having control over your life
to kill
ooo... the satisfaction of taking a life
I might even get off as you slowly die
of corse that would have to be after
I ate some of your own flesh as you watch
I think honey barbeque sauce what about you
do you like honey barbeque? ? ?
I’m getting horney just thinking about killing someone
the only thing that would make it better is making someone else rape you
as I watch
I think that guy tied up in the corner will do just fine
don’t you? ? ?
O look he’s waking up
just in time
I then notice that the ropes that are now imbedded in your wrists and ankles are coved in blood
It’s dripping onto the bed
I quickly grab my glass and your sweet blood
fills the glass fast
I remove the gag and try to let you drink it but
you just continue to choke on it
and since you shouldn’t waste a good thing
I decide to drink it
I’ll get off and cut you some more
now I have two victims
o well it’s just more meet to add to my barbeque
that I will start to prepare while your still alive
the ribs will be so tender
that it will melt in my mouth
to kill
ahh... yes... scream this dose hurt
o don’t worry it’s sanitized I make sure I take good care
of all my victims
yes I think this chunk of your leg will be
just fine for the taste test
don’t you
would you like a piece when it’s done
no? ? ?
Ya I wouldn’t want eat me either
I think you’ll taste much better then I would
no longer will I be sick of not killing
I will never hold myself back from not killing
to kill
KILL KILL KILL
the taste of victory
I’m guessing you’ll taste just like chicken
to slowly take a life
for them to live
no more
to kill
mmmm.... I think that your almost done
are you sure you don’t want a piece
and they say that I’m sane
P.S.
This is just a joke NOT FOR REAL! DONT TAKE IT TO HEART! ! !

Cooking and taste
eating the same tasteless dinner at the only diner
the umpteenth time, a thought came to my mind
am i a guinea pig or one of its kind
or was there a conspiracy behind
has my taste buds gone out of date
why is all so tasteless, that is the food i ate
i dared to ask the manager why the taste is so bad
bang came a caustic reply, this is by the best cook he ever had
(insinuating a problem not with his cook but with my taste)
well then it has to be my taste buds i thought
directing all my efforts to the food i had bought
then came storming, the savior, inside the hall
in his hand was the same food for which i have taken the fall
indignanlty he shouted at the manager
this food is so bad that even his dog had refused to had
hell i thought even the dog has a better taste
why, why am i such a waste
the dog in me forced me to start cooking that very day
the dog in me does sometimes refuses to eat what i cook
the human in me requests him to hav another look
for, when people are struggling for one square meal a day
how can i keep the food i cooked at bay,
hence i eat, taste or no taste, everything i cook, every day.
The Road We're On
'It's all a road we build'
he said
'you lay down the concrete
or tar for the asphalt;
you heat it
and take it through all the stages
with yellow lines
white lines-
a road has to have
boundaries and destinations.
There are the road signs:
'caution'
'soft shoulder'
'curves ahead'
'pedestrians'
'stop ahead'
'divided highway.'
'no u-turns.'
'highway patrol station
The thought
is whether the road we build
is our own
and whether it leads where we
want to go
and who on the road
we're traveling with.
Just like life.
Up and down hills;
speed bumps
parking lots
long rides
The trick is not to be
a highway statistic
didn't see the stop sign
ran over too many pedestrians.
or a high speed causality
best to hope for soft shoulders
and broad lanes
and the laughter of friends
as the sun shines overhead
taking us
home.

Driving My Roads
I pull the truck out
and head for the open road-
our relationship
splattered all along the highway;
our history written on the highway signs;
The Good:
Curves Ahead
Soft Shoulder
Yield
Slippery when wet
The Bad:
Under Construction
Fines Double
Do Not Cross the Double Yellow
Uneven Highway
Stop
Icy Road
Slippery When Wet
Caution
Divorce
Everywhere memories
our Road Kill.
But I can see the mountains
from here.
I can see forever from here,
there is no destination
outside my windshield.
I can drive forever-
my radio my counselor
music my conductor
my friends live in the CB
I can drive forever
I can drive forever
away
far far away
from here.

Rain on Route-66
The rain was pouring down
On the road as we drove along
And as we drove we whistled
That cheerful Route-66 song
Everything sparkled and glistened
As down the wet road we rode
Enjoying the highway countryside
As the landscape quickly flowed
From Chicago to Los Angeles
This highway had been named
In the year nineteen-twenty six
It was a road that gathered fame
A need to connect rural and urban
This highway definitely did the trick
Now it’s become historic
To take the drive is quite a kick
So much to see along the way
It will bring to you a smile
So take the time and cruise along
Put aside everything for awhile
And as you sail along, folks
Think of how it began awhile back
Keep your cameras ready
Amazing pictures you’ll want to snap!

Somewhere Down The Road
(Wayne Kirkpatrick/Amy Grant)
So much pain and no good reason why
You cried until the tears run dry
Nothing else can make you understand
The one thing that you held so dear
Is slipping from your hand
And you say
Why, why, why
Does it go this way
And why, why, why
And all I can say is
Somewhere down the road
There'll be answers to the questions
Somewhere down the road
Though we cannot see it now
And somewhere down the road
You will find mighty arms reaching for you
And they will have the answers
At the end of the road
Yesterday I thought I'd seen it all
I thought I'd climbed the highest wall
But now I see that learning never ends
And all I know to do is keep on walking
'Round the bend
Singing
Why, why, why
Does it go this way
Why, why, why
And all I can say is
Somewhere down the road
There'll be answers to the questions
Somewhere down the road
Though we cannot see it now
And somewhere down the road
You will find mighty arms reaching for you
And they will hold the answers
At the end of the road
Somewhere, somewhere down
And somewhere down the road
There'll be answers to the questions
Somewhere down the road
Though we cannot see it now
And somewhere down the road
You will find mighty arms reaching for you
They will have the answers
At the end of the road
They will have the answers
At the end of the road
Somewhere down the road, yeah
Somewhere, somewhere
Somewhere, somewhere, somewhere down the road
Why, why, why
There will be arms reaching, down the road
Somewhere, somewhere, somewhere
Oooh

Man can…
I don’t feel I kill when I take
Antibiotics to kill germs.
I don’t feel I kill when I kill
Rodents, mosquitoes and serpents.
I kill fowls, goats and fish for food.
This’ the way I’ve been brought up
And I do it for my survival.
Terrorists don’t feel that they kill
When they kill innocent people,
Without which too they can survive.
Man’s mastered all his predators.
Terrorists are his predators.
It is time he annihilated them.

Ill Always Be With You
I just went to the corner
To get some bread and butter,
Dad called, hed got your letter,
This is his new number.
Chickens on the burner
But wait for me if you can,
Ill be back soon, honey,
Big kiss from mommy.
(chorus)
Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill,
Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill,
Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill.
Please, I have a son!
(chorus)
Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss,
Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss.
Sorry, I was so late,
Did you call your dad?
I hope he was nice to you,
I dont wanna see you sad.
I see you ate your chicken,
And saved me a plate,
I dont know how to tell you, I dont know how to tell,
But I love you, baby, rememember, Ill always be with you
Ill always be with you.
I love you, mommy, I love you with all my heart,
Please, always be with me.
(chorus)
Miss, miss, miss, miss,
Miss, miss, miss, miss.
Mommy! mommy!
Why do I love you so if youre just a spec of dust,
Floating endlessly amongst the trillion stars?
Knowing that one day we may float apart,
Meeting each other in universe.

At cross road
Never but at cross road,
Are we at cross road?
Is there any load?
Why not we meet?
Even at cross road.
Are we blood thirsty?
And care for no one,
who may come but none?
Doesn’t concern everyone?
Even at cross road.
Can we not share?
Misery and poverty,
happiness and unhappiness,
hunger and roofless human,
even at cross road.
Why do we cut?
Burn the green forest,
and big trees,
do we want disaster?
Even at cross road.
Rain is scarce,
food also less,
nature is finished,
no bloom for ever,
even at cross road.
Why do we cut throat?
Merely for greed,
does the religion preach?
Priests or heads just teach
Even at cross road.
I may not survive,
peace may not revive,
nobody will also survive,
we will soon be extinct,
even at cross road.
Time is running out,
Still human race is not out,
We may still be in,
Kindness may be over,
Even at cross road,
Life is worth to live in,
forget not but just be in,
embrace but not embarrass them,
help but not reject them
Even at cross road.
We May still not adopt,
remain at large but not still opt,
is the nature so cruel?
Kill and get also killed?
Even at cross road
