Cooking and taste

eating the same tasteless dinner at the only diner
the umpteenth time, a thought came to my mind
am i a guinea pig or one of its kind
or was there a conspiracy behind

has my taste buds gone out of date
why is all so tasteless, that is the food i ate

i dared to ask the manager why the taste is so bad
bang came a caustic reply, this is by the best cook he ever had
(insinuating a problem not with his cook but with my taste)

well then it has to be my taste buds i thought
directing all my efforts to the food i had bought

then came storming, the savior, inside the hall
in his hand was the same food for which i have taken the fall
indignanlty he shouted at the manager
this food is so bad that even his dog had refused to had

hell i thought even the dog has a better taste
why, why am i such a waste
the dog in me forced me to start cooking that very day
the dog in me does sometimes refuses to eat what i cook
the human in me requests him to hav another look

for, when people are struggling for one square meal a day
how can i keep the food i cooked at bay,
hence i eat, taste or no taste, everything i cook, every day.

Taste Or Life?

They say honey is sweeter than wine;

Many say kiss is sweeter than wine!

Some are fond of sweet taste in all;

Many like hot taste in food we eat ever.

Taste is just a flavour of coffee we take;

Tasteless food nobody likes at first ever;

But food for living life cannot be ignored.

Sugar coated pill makes us take medicine;

Just like that taste makes food delicious!

Taste various from person to person ever;

Hence one man's food is another's poison!

So also taste for poetry, novel and articles

Say about one's mind, heart and soul ever;

More than taste food for living is fine ever!

Taste Of Food

In food is a certain quality of taste,
May they abstain and be erased.
For food manages my godly life,
Just as the fish manage with strife.
In this food, in that food we collapse
And honour a feast with some gaps.
The food we eat as dinner shall be kind
To the sleep we carry throughout the mind.
What food do you cook with expertise?
Fish and meat will certainly cease!

Syrup Sponge

Pour a pint of cream
Upon my spongy bulge!

Scoop me with a
Hefty spoon;

Taste my essence -
Do you swoon?

Feed your self-esteem; indulge
In me until you burst -

Death by syrup sponge - you're cursed!

And as the count in inches gain
Upon your weary waist, the strain
Will tell, but you'll not care -
Steeped in sponge, you're unaware!

Consumers’ Desires

Though not hygienic, one can taste good food.
Though not royal, one can taste rich food.
Though not deserving, one can taste a woman.
The consumers need no qualification.

Vangie's Cuisine...

Food, food, food…Vangie’s food…
You can find them in FACE BOOK
Mouthwatering cuisine of Filipinos food
Let’s get together and have a look…..

Pretty Vangie is the cook
Using delicate hand to cook the food
Her expertise is out of this world
Nothing can beat her skills of food….

I look at it everyday
To see what’s the menu for today
Tummy now that was once empty
Is now full of what she cooked for that day! ! ! !

Orange

I hold in my hand my last source of food
I squeeze it in my mouth
the sweetness envelopes my taste buds
growing increasing the ever small size of my belly
letting the taste of this orange last as long as possible
the orange becomes dried up
no more food to be found on the island

How That Food Was?

There was so much of food
But nothing is good
You can’t taste
Because it’s a waste
There is a big treat
But no one could eat
There was a lot more
Which was very bore
There was more food
Which was like tasteless wood

Fussy About Food

I’ve always been really fussy about what I eat,
But I’ll tolerate most foods, if the cook cheats!
It really depends on how a food has been cooked,
Whether or not, it has a place in my good books.

Examples of my some of my most hated foods,
Are sliced roast beef and apples that are stewed.
I’ll eat beef that’s been minced up into a pie,
And apples diced into a crumble are also fine.

Fresh coriander leaves, I definitely will not touch,
But cooked in a curry, I don’t mind them so much.
On potatoes that have been boiled, I’m not that keen,
But eating mashed potato or chips, I can be often seen.

Egg and cress sandwiches, by me, are never approached,
But I love eggs that are hard boiled, fried or even poached.
I dislike the taste of carrots that have been picked fresh,
But with the taste of tinned carrots, I’m really impressed.

I’m not so keen on either petit pois or garden peas,
But with the taste of mushy peas, I’m very pleased.
In pies and pasties, I hate to have a filling of cheese,
But I’ll devour a slice of cheese on toast with ease.

I’ve been a fussy eater pretty much all of my life,
And, caused my mother much trouble and strife.
When I was small, I often left much of my dinner.
My mum often worried that I would get thinner.

Like many other children, my main course
Often ended up, smeared with tomato sauce.
The enjoyment of a meal, this often improved,
And frayed tempers were also often soothed.

If there was a certain food, which I did really hate,
My mum would still insist putting it upon my plate.
Even with it on my plate, I still didn’t like the taste,
So that particular food would inevitably go to waste.

As I’ve got older, I’ve acquired an improved appetite,
Much to my mother’s extreme relief, and total delight.
Now, as an adult, my dinner plate is often cleaned,
And, hardly ever is a single morsel left, to be seen.

Campfire Meal

There is nothing like a meal
From a flaming hot campfire
It cooks the kind of food
For which you’ll never tire

A slow cooked smoky brisket
The best you ever got
Along with homemade biscuits
Cooked right in a iron pot

The beans are so hot and spicy
Your taste buds will yell hooray
The food is so delicious
I don’t know just what to say

The sweet corn and potatoes
Are cooked on the campfire too
Grab a plate and get in line
That’s just what you want to do

It’s the cowboy way of cooking
I’ll grab some firewood
Join us at the Rockin L & H
Where nothing else tastes as good!

Country Cuisine

Have you ever come across an eating place
That serves outstanding cuisine?
Well, at Fay, Oklahoma we found
An eating place that could serve a Queen

The flavors are absolutely delicious
Just simple ordinary country food
You could even take picky eaters there
You walk in and you are in the mood

To try each and every dish that you see
On the tables and on the menu
Because these folks’ know how to cook
The most wonderful food for you

So if you pass by Fay, Oklahoma, my friend
Want a meal with the best dessert you’ve seen
Stop by and have a taste
Of the most exceptional country cuisine!

Simple Pleasure

When the dinner was ready, when I was five,
We sat on the mat in the Hall, half awake,
Varieties of food prepared, served and fed,
The daddies were at the center to watch,
We couldn't laugh and chat while eating,
We shouldn't spill the food on the ground,
We have had unwritten rules,
That has to be strictly obeyed,
Men and the children are in the first list,
Then the women of the house eat and taste,
What they cook, there is a pleasure,
In serving the food to the people we love,
Spoon after spoon, ladle after ladle,
Our love is measured many times,
Many thousand times in our dining halls,
Sometimes we feed our grown up children,
Out of the same bowl, for which,
The women of the houses are mocked,
Simple pleasures such as these,
In life make the living meaningful.

Creep Hymn

The creep
Goes to a restaurant
And order the food to eat at the restaurant
But when the food comes he eats a little bit of the food
Just so he can taste it
And he tells everybody very loud that the food that he order
Taste like shit
And then he takes the plate and throws it on the floor
But he lives the restaurant without pay
The waitress from the restaurant looks everywhere for him in the Restaurant
Sorry waitress he is gone out of the door
And he run away so that you couldn't catch him

Food for Everyone

Sellers of food have a huge price,
And they eat from them from advice.
The restaurant is a race for the food,
A beautiful place for the meat barbecued.

I like the eating to be done in a fantastic place,
Where I love the taste in my head, no disgrace.
Love anything but do not eat the forbidden fruit,
So horrid it is of the devil to say, but we must be astute.

It is poverty that hides the food from poor people,
It is not the poor people who taste a life admirable.
Sellers of food must be paid, and poor is the person
Who can not afford, so he can not eat, unless he is in heaven.

Heaven is a place for food and drink,
Drink I take and health I doublethink.
Heaven has a drink for me.

To Seek Food

Hunger is to seek food,
Food has one eye and one ear.
The food we abstain from are the heads,
The food is caring over us, and we maintain
Our lives with the food of the day.
Liquors are taken as food,
With a brain too bright,
A table and a cook is required,
Forming my life as a whole.

My Recipe

For love I design the name of wondrous nature,
I love its wondrous age, the animal inside;
Offering a man his peeling of fruit and vegetables,
A cook is designing new food for heavy consumption.
The cooking is simple, and plates are filled with heaven-
On that is regard for taste, on this is peace and bliss.
Joke on him, the big chef, who dearly paid for mistakes,
Oiling the pan with more food and spreading special
Ingredients, like there was an illegal clue
Of beauty.
I love that recipe, that wondrous name that smelt of heaven.

Overweight with Food

Are you just a tub of lard and
Vastly overweight?
Do you think that when you die you'll
Need a piano crate
To act as coffin for your frame? -
Chosen as you die in shame, with
Only you to take the blame
For years of eating much the same:
A daily calorific fest
Gourmands of your ilk digest!

Is your heart in final fling and
Nearly set to burst?
Are your arteries bunged and clogged and
Feeling now the worst
For wear? - your aneurysm fit to blow
While blood as thick as rising dough
Cries 'Halt! ' to any hope of flow:
A dreadful state to put on show
In front of any nurse!
Best you hail a hearse.

Sharp With Added Spice

'Over seasoned! '
This came to spill,
From whispered lips.
Yet to those unacquainted...
The presentation and taste,
Was more than appreciated.
And in their eyes the show of this,
Did not hesitate to express it.

They did not mention an absence of skill.
They were too busy enjoying the delicious cake.
To pick crumbs from plates.

Until the cook appeared unexplained,
From the kitchen to gain attention.
Sharp with added spice,
Comes a lashing from an unexpected tongue.

It seems someone has said,
Whoever is doing the cooking with minimal flair...
Should learn more about baking,
To become more aware of what's required instead!

And serious was the cook who took all hostage!
With an eyebrow raised and quivering lips.
And outraged was the cook's posture...
No one dared to dismiss.

~Out with it!
WHO said 'over seasoned'?
I heard every word.
And it did not please.
WHO was it?
Who dared to say I over season?
When I sweated to perfect...
A guarantee your taste buds would be teased.
Out with it or no one leaves.
You ungrateful banana eating chimpanzees.
How dare you mock my expertise.
I'm not kidding.
Out with it or no one leaves! ~

And throats slowly swallowed.
People froze as they sat.
Wishing they remembered when,
Those comments were made in jest!

'I said that but I was just joking.'

~You provoked me with a whispered joke?
Do you know how close I came to choking a few throats?

I...
Am,
A CHEF.
And serious to the end of my very breath.
With...
And I must admit this,
With a flair for dramatics.

Please...
There is no need for applause.
I accept,
Only business references! ~
