Pinks' Pill

So I took Pinks' pill
And then I took the bottle
Along with me
And I was floating
And when I glanced around again
I saw
That I'd made my way
To the pharmacy
And the pharmacist
He winked at me
So I handed him my bottle
And watched
As he dropped in many colorful pills
Until he reached a line
Full
And each of the tiny pills
Exerted a not so tiny pull
And so it began with Pink
My choice to medicate with music
And all the colors
Took me right up to the brink
In my attempt
To forget about it
Thanks pink

Dedication to medication part one

Ode to my little pink pill
You are my saviour,
And my ultimate downfall.
Like so many little pills
That came before you
The first gave me lisence
To act without consequence
Until a little beige pill
Was needed when you failed
After that while on sabbatical
I had some bigger white pills
With a pessary too
To undo the promiscuity.
Little yellow pill
Tucked up in my gum
You help me stomach myself
Little lozenge pill
You soothe the monsters
That live by my bed
Tiny blue speckled pill
You drench me in annonymity
Till little pink pill
The littlest pink pill
Sings her Seroquel lullaby
And sentences me to sleep.

A Friend Left Behind

The bottle, in his bathroom
pills pink and white
begging for resolution
an empty bottle, his light

He left this world
alone
as his rock n' roll friends did

He left this world
safe
from the hands that always hit
the unmade bed, the dirty dishes
and garbage
he did forget

When he left this world
he left behind
the screaming, drugs
beatings and very little hugs

The pills now gone
and so was the pain
his breath faded quickly
he heard God, faintly, cry in vain

His soul gave way to death
while I was overseas
I prayed that God did see
of all things he left behind
the most he missed
was me

Pink

A blush of pink:
She'd caught a roving eye -
He gave a wink.
Her smile had played a shy
And quaint florescence;
The siren of pubescence
Drew him in.

She bade him touch her hair,
Suggesting that he dare
To kiss her pulsing lips!
E'er the fool a man, he did:
The drips of blood began to cheer -
And so, another rid:

Tips of fangs are sharp, you know -
Dancing ivory feeds her soul -
See her claim a howl upon a chilling wind!

Slain, he lay across a crimson floor:
She grinned in her repletion.

A blush of pink;
Beneath a glowering sky
Her savoured drink
Was done.

Pain Pills

I took too many pain pills
To see what it would do
I took too many pain pills
Now i'm thinking about you

I took too many pain pills
My body's shutting down
I took too many pain pills
I'm lying on the ground

I took too many pain pills
I'm wishing you were here
I took too many pain pills
My death is drawing near

I took too many pain pills
It's messing with my head
I took too many pain pills......

And I think i'm finnaly dead....

Pink

Feather light wings that float softly through the air tickled by specks of dust.
Bright white light inflamed with pink and laced with gold.
Raising flowers, changing seasons,
singing in high pitched voices that only children can hear.
Little tiny people in little tiny clothes.
Pink, White and Baby Blue,
Only innocent eyes can see.

Pink nail varnish, Pink lipstick, Pink eye shadow, Pink blusher, Pink clothes that reveal too much Pink skin.
Standing on street corners innocent eyes forgotten.
Long ago were the days when fairies were believed in.
Lost memories and lost dreams,
innocence killed, for a life of nightmares and love ripped at the seams.

this summer she wears her pink kimono
and she will walk under the pink blossoms of the pink sakura
she will carry a pink umbrella
and she will cross the pink bridge of kokoma

pink leaves on her feet
pink fingernails on her pink wooden shoes

in honor of her love
that never bloomed to complete red
she will sit on a pink bench
praying for pink clouds to drift
on the pink skies.

Die alone

Do you want to die?
Jump off a building
Get hit by a car
Pull a gun on your self
Is that going to far?

For you, I think not
That choice might be right
End our misery
Die tonight

When you go to this edge
You bring us along
We're tired of caring
Please go alone

Do you want to die
Just cut your own throat
Take a bottle of pills
Or hang by a rope

You've lost the idea
Of a true friend
We can't keep saving you
From your glorified end

We all have problems
I know this to be true
We've learned to deal
Damnit
When will you?

Bona Fide Begging

Life, liberty and...
And?
No-no-no.
Let there be liberty...
Or,
No-no-no-no!
If I have only one life...
To live.
That doesn't sound right either.

'What is it that you are trying to say? '

I have an interview for a job tomorrow.
And I want to appear as patriotic as possible.

'That's easy.
Do what I did.
And it was only for a part time job! '

What did you do?

'I handed the interviewer my resume.
And as she was going over it.
I pulled out a bottle of sleeping pills.
And threatened to take my life! '

Noooo...?

'Yes!
She wasn't convinced.
I'm glad of that.
Because the bottle was filled with TIC TACs.'

So what happened next?

'BEGGING.
It works!
Bona fide begging...
Works! '

Wasted

Well I've been lying awake all night just thinking of you
But a bottle of whiskey lies heavy obstructing my view
I've got a bottle of pills to give me my thrills
And I know that I'm leading a life that kills

Wasted - I've wasted my time
Wasted - I'm shooting a line
Wasted - I'm stuck in a hole
Wasted - I'm losing control

And I've been meaning to call

make love to the moon with their howling,
and piss on their sacred ground...

yet focuses on tiny movements,
and strikes with precision.

winos sleep with their bottle,
walk with their bottle,
see with their bottle...

all of these know something

Lie Still, Little Bottle

Lie still, little bottle, and shake my shaky hand
Black coffees not enough for me, I need a better friend
One pill at the bottom is singing my favorite song
I know I must investigate
I hope that I can sing along
Theres no time for metaphors cried the little pill to me
He said, life is a placebo masquerading as a simile*
Well, I knew that pill was lying
Too gregarious, too nice
But as he walked I had to sing this twice
Lie still, little bottle
Dont twist, it aint twistin time
With every move you make you just disintegrate my ever-troubled mind
Lie still, little bottle, and shake my shaky hand
Black coffees not enough for me, I need a better friend
One pill at the bottom is singing my favorite song
I know I must investigate
I hope that I can sing along
Lie still, little bottle
Lie still

The Genie

(don henley/stan lynch/stuart brawley)
Is this what you wanted?
Did you even think twice?
Didnt they tell you that anything that feels this good
Comes with a price
It gave you such a rush
Now you think youve had enough
Its not that easy to walk away
This is the hard stuff
You cant get the genie back in the bottle
You cant get the genie back in the bottle
You cant get the genie back in the bottle
You cant get the genie back in the bottle
And everything matters, everything matters
Every little thing you do
That smoldering tingle under your skin
That sweet, delicious, but not-so-original sin
And when the world becomes too little or too much
The shadow mind contrives
The triumph and the tragedy that we invite into our lives
And adam glanced back at the tree
As he was leaving
Said, baby, thats the price we pay
Knowing is grieving
You cant get the genie back in the bottle
You cant get the genie back in the bottle
You cant get the genie back in the bottle
You cant get the genie back in the bottle
And everything matters, everything matters
Everything you say, everything you do
And the past comes back to smack you around
For all the things you thought you got for free
For the arrogance to think that you could somehow
Defy the laws of gravity
These are lessons in humility
Penitence for past offenses
Consequences, consequences
You cant get the genie back in the bottle
You cant get the genie back in the bottle
You cant get the genie back in the bottle
You cant get the genie back in the bottle

The Great OD

One Pill
Two Pills
Three Pills
FOUR.

Ten Pills
Twenty Pills
Fifty Pills
FLOOR.

Fall down-
Hit the gorund.

Eyes they blur,
Can't make out a word.

Spinning in circles
Can't seem to breathe
Legs they are swollen
Feet they feel weak
Laughing and crying
It seems like a joke
Like a game you're not playing
With the clear of the smoke
Reaching for help
Needing a hand
Can't even try
To sit
Or to stand
Falling back down
Breaths become weaker
You're starting to drift
Drift even deeper
Hopsital visit
At four in the 'mourn
Heart it seems broken
Yes, heart it seems torn
Parents-awake!
Daughter is dying...
She's left in a heap
On the floor crying
Carted away-
Strapped to a bed
'You're luck you're still-
Alive and not dead! '
But, it seems like a play
It just doesn't seem real
Yet, it's this pulse that they want
It's this life that they steal
Vials of blood
They seem to take
As smiles and sanity
You continue to fake
Grinning through tears
You try to hide
All of the pain
You hold onto your pride
Regurgitation
Takes over now
Out with the bottle;
Out with it somehow
'Everything will be okay-'
You hear in your sleep
You hear them say
But, then you are choking
And, dreaming and done
And, there just simply is no way
That it's these pills that have won
When you awake
When you come to
The pills are now gone
And, you are once again you
And, the pain it subsides
For merely one day
As you fall to your knees
And you begin to pray
You thank the lord
You're still alive
And, you let out a breath
And, you let out a sigh
As you finally see
You finally realize
That it just simply was not
Your time to die.

Committing Suicide.

Suicide, will that happen to me? It is not I, who will
cause this final act in life, it is the dark side of
who I am. I want to live, however, the monster, who
resides inside me...wants to commit suicide.

Everything I do...everywhere I go, blackness, inevitable
doom, trails me. I hear his voice,
'Do it...commit suicide. You have nothing to live for...do it! '

Alone, I sob. 'What about the people that love me?
I don't want to hurt them.' His voice again...
'Do it. Kill yourself. You'll be doing them a favor.'

I stare at the bottle of sleeping pills. Suicide...suicide,
it seems a way to solve all my problems.
'YES! The voice blared! Suicide is the answer! '

Suicide? No. Yes.No...what...what to do?
I need to talk with someone. Who? No one!
God...if you're up there, help me. Give me
a sign. I wait...Nothing. No word. No sign.

Slowly, I move to the closet, remove my clothes
and slip on my favorite robe. Tears roll down
my cheeks, as I turn on some soft music.

The voice again: 'That's it. Make yourself comfortable,
then...do it! '

I move to the bed, sit down and reach for the glass
of water. With one hand, I snap off the cap on the
bottle of sleeping pills. Slowly, I move the bottle
toward my mouth.

''Ellen...Ellen? '
From outside my bedroom door, I can
hear my little brother calling me.
'Ellen....'

I hesitate, I don't want him to be the one
that finds me. Quickly, I place the pills
on the nightstand, and replace the cap.
I move to the door and open it.
My brother, is standing there, smiling at me.
'Ellen, watcha ya doin''

I couldn't say committing suicide.
'Just watching a little t.v.'
'Can I come in, ' he said.

I thought about how much he and my family
loved me. I thought about a bunch of other
things I had to be thankful for. I gave serious
about life, and I treasured it. Suicide?
Not tonight.

I look at my little brother and never loved
him more.

'Sure...come in, we'll watch t.v. together.'
