I Kissed A Frog
i lost my glass slipper
well really a shoe
but a prince didnt find it
so whats a girl to do
i kissed a frog
but it hopped away
no prince for me
no not today
fairytales are simply tales
and frogs are not for kissing
but without a little romance
something would be missing
so kiss the frog
lose the shoe
okay to be a romantic fool
and if your prince turns into a frog
just leave him sitting on a log

Frogiven (no thats not a typo)
Not quite a Prince Charming
with your propensity to stick
the glass slipper
in your little green mouth
But alas if when I kiss you
you do not turn to my prince.
I guess I will have to love
an adorable frog that
occasionally acts as a toad
As many times as I kiss
your adorable green face
your still my adorable frog.
A prince of one indeed
but green and bumpy all the same.
Leaping through most days
sometimes you miss the lillypad
Splat you submerge
only'to swim up again.
When surfaced still no prince,
but toads dont swim
So 'ribbit, ribbit, ribbit'
let me get out babel fish and give you
the frog to woman translation
'Your frogiven for evermore'
try, if ya' would,
to channel your inner prince
and not be such a toad!

Frog Or Is It A Toad (Fun Poem 22)
The fairy tale says,
that every time you kiss
a frog or is it a toad,
it turns into a prince or a princess,
depending on which story you have heard.
I thought that I would test the theory.
First on a frog, I tried,
but nothing happened there.
Then I grabbed the biggest toad,
gave it a great big kiss as you know.
All I ended up with was a big wart
on the end of my nose.
So if you are looking for a prince or princess,
do not kiss a frog or toad,
because you might end up like me,
with a big wart on the end of your nose.

The Princess and the Frog
A princess was out for her morning jog
When, by the pond, she met a frog.
She grabbed the poor thing by its head:
”It might turn into a prince! ” she said.
She closed her eyes and made a wish,
Then gave the frog a sloppy kiss.
The Princess counted One, Two, Three...
And opened up her eyes to see.
In a blinding flash and clouds of smoke,
The frog became a handsome bloke.
He stared at the princess in dismay
Then turned and ran the other way.
”Wait, my darling. Please! “ she cried.
The handsome prince to her replied:
”Go stick your head in the palace bogs -
”I hate a girl who kisses frogs! ”

Phileas the Frog
Phileas the frog was awfully large -
To see the muscle in his thighs -
A sight bedazzling to your eyes!
With plenty there to feed a town -
If you would dare to take him down!
Phileas the frog could tow a barge.
One hefty bound could clear a tree -
A scary sight I'll guarantee!
And something else to make me dread:
Were he to land upon my head!
Phileas the frog was known as 'Sarge -'
Accounted by that massive chest.
No other frog would care to jest
That tidy Phileas!
So if you've sense and know your place -
And hold some value to your face,
Then don't get supercilious
With Phileas!

The Frog Prince
As I was walking through the wood
One warm and sunny summer day,
I chanced upon a lovely sight
A swirl of butterflies in flight;
Urged on by curiosity,
I followed down the path they flew
And tumbled through a hidden door
Beneath the leafy woodland floor;
A wondrous sight did then appear
As if by magic to my eyes,
And there within a hollow log
I spied a very princely frog;
Nestled deep within that place
Of musty darkness shone a light,
And there I saw as I did look
A princely frog with poem book;
Lounging in his comfy space
With spectacles perched on his nose,
The frog prince reading unaware
Of being watched as I stood there;
So engrossed within his book,
He did not notice as I sneaked
Behind his chair on velvet feet -
Then all at once our eyes did meet
He dropped the book into his lap,
Complete surprise upon his face -
I turned to run and he did follow
Leaping from his hidden hollow
Swift I ran around the tree
And hiding, waited patiently
And soon he lept upon a rock
And then this frog began to talk;
'My dear, within your book I've read,
Your songs of love and gratitude,
Your tales of woe, of joy and such
I must admit, I like it much! '
But there is one thing I would ask
If I may only be so bold,
Now would you please consider this,
And place upon my lips a kiss?
Well, I believe in fairytales
For heaven knows I've read a few,
And if my memory serves me well,
A little kiss might break the spell;
So, pucker up you ugly frog
Let's get this done while in the mood,
I closed my eyes and then did place
A kiss upon his slimey face;
It wasn't bad, he tasted sweet!
I can't believe I kissed a frog!
My eyes did open then and see
A handsome prince smile back at me!
The prince of poets had been freed,
No longer bound beneath the spell -
And in his freedom I did find
A gentle prince, sincere and kind;
He offered then to mentor me
As poet prince, no longer frog -
And I of course said 'yes' and more...............
That day beneath the woodland floor.
A fairytale life
I am no Cinderella
And I have no knight and shining amour
Nor am I sleeping beauty,
Whose prince woke her with a kiss.
I am simply the girl,
Whose foot the glass slipper did not fit.
The Rapunzel whose hair the prince could not reach.
The mermaid who did not get kissed before sunset on that fatal third day.
My story doesn’t end with a ‘happy ever after’
I’m no princess and my life is no fairytale.
But who needs fairytales
When everything I have, is all I will ever need.

Oh Little Frog
Oh Little Frog, Oh Little Frog
I love you so completely
I love to see you sitting there
On the lily pad so neatly
Your googly eyes spy little flies
That's scrummy in your tummy
You hop around from pad to pad
You really do look funny
Your neon green
Your big long tongue
You are a prince it’s true
I really wish that I could be a frog
Just the same as you

Courtly Orangutans
[Hop Frog:]
Tomorrow is the seasonal ball
I propose costumes for you
and the honourable ministers to wear
[King:]
Yes
[Hop Frog:]
All dress as orangutans
All your guests will run and scream
with their mouths agape
And try to hide
And you Sire will have last laugh
For such imperial cunning
[Hop Frog:]
I will reach, restore wrong
I will torture you
I will burn you
Dead
[Tripitena:]
My prince
My prince
You light a fire .......
Burn, monkeys
Burn

A Parable
a frog, always the frog
has always been a frog
servant to the fog, but
one frog one day decides
to be a bull to the dismay
of the frogs in that little pond
to the ridicule of the bulls
nearby but the frog learns
to be a bull and bully has
he become until one day
he gains the respect of the
other bulls to the pleasure
of the sun to the disdain
of the fog on the hills
nothing is impossible
to the power of the mind
this the frog follows
through and through

Walking The Frog
I have a pet frog
We go frog walking every day at 6pm
He is fine until he sees another frog
He sniffs & then tries to jump
I pull him away
Last week we had a problem
My frog stopped to do his business
A passer bye said stop your frog fouling
I cleared up after him but it left a slimy mark
The other man slipped on it
My frog likes water
Especially ponds
He likes jumping on lilies
The local gardener is mad
Control your frog he shouts
Well now Im in trouble
Despite the sign
Beware of the FROG
He bit a policeman
A fine guard frog
My frog is now banned
From walks anywhere
Poor froggy is in a cell
Eating flies & drinking water
Its a frogs life

Promise Me Reality
Prince Charming and a Princess
Beauty and the Beast
Fairy tales not promised
Broken hearts to say the least
Magical pumpkins and castles
A promise for the world
An apple that was poisoned
Eaten by a girl
A dragon that was slain
By an olgre of a man
Evil stepsisters
A Princess can hardly stand
A shiny glass slipper
That only fits one
Looking for a girl
Who’s compared to none
A father who’s a frog
An evil tooth fairy
Who only wants one thing
“For her son to be married”
Money and the fortune
Fame has a price
But does that make all
The backstabbing right?
I don’t want the castle
I don’t want the pumpkin carriage
I don’t want Prince Charming
I want the Carrat
I don’t want the stars and the world
I don’t want to live a dream
Forget all the fairy tales
Promise me reality! !

A Little Frog
A little Frog could well be
A beating Frog in camouflage
A jumping Frog cold, scary
A poisoning Frog breathing through the skin
An Underwater Frog flooding…
A Drowned heart in love with...
The little Frog.

Frog Sees Tara
A small and green but drunken frog
sat in the evening on his log.
He contemplated there on life
and wished he had a green frog wife.
He'd interviewd a thousand frogs,
kept diaries and detailed logs.
But never did he find the one
who'd rest all day out in the sun
and dream with him at night in bed
so this green frog was never wed.
One day he saw, down near the trees
a British subject. What a tease!
She was a trifle big but, well,
we cannot all live in a shell.
She chatted with the folks and then
there was a silence among men.
They looked at her, so did the frog
he sat, quite drunken, on his log.
He dreamed that if he ever were...
this was the girl. If frogs could purr! ! !

I hate Frog
Frog,
I hate you.
You don't deserve to live
You have an ugly face
You're not the prince
Even you have your first kiss
Frog,
I really really hate you.
You're just a food for a hungry snake,
So, stay away from me before I give you a kick!

Kiss That Frog
[aah, yeah]
Jump in the water
Sweet little princess
Let me introduce his frogness
You alone can get him singing
Hes all puffed up, wanna be your king
Oh you can do it
Cmon [x6]
Lady kiss that frog
Splash, dash heard your call
Bring you back your golden ball
Hes gonna dive down in the deep end
Hes gonna be just like your best friend
So whats one little kiss
One tiny little touch
Aaah, hes wanting it so much
I swear that this is royal blood
Running through my skin
Oh can you see the state Im in
Kiss it better, kiss it better
[kiss that frog]
Get it into your royal head
Hes living with you, he sleeps in your bed
Cant you hear beyond the croaking
Dont you know that Im not joking
Aaah, you think you wont
I think you will
Dont you know that this tongue can kill
Cmon [x6]
Lady kiss that frog
Let him sit beside you
Eat right off your plate
You dont have to be afraid
Theres nothing here to hate
Ah, princess you might like it
If you lower your defence
Kiss that frog, and you will
Get your prince [x2]
[huh!]
Jump in the water, cmon baby jump in with me
Jump in the water, cmon baby get wet with me
Jump in the water, cmon baby jump in with me
Jump in the water, cmon baby get wet [get wet, get wet]
Kiss that frog, lady kiss that frog [x4]
Jump in the water, cmon baby jump in with me [x3]
Jump in the water, cmon baby get wet
[get wet, get wet] [x6]

Use a dog not a frog
Use a dog not a frog
A big devil dog and you’ll be set
He’ll hold you tight and whisper sweet nothings into your ear
He’ll leave you smiling and wanting more
He’ll kiss you gentle and make his world
He’ll be the only person you will ever need
But don’t think for a moment he’s prince charming
No but he is knight one that will fight for you and everybody else
He’ll serve his country but he will return to you
But why he’s away he’ll keep your picture close to him
And write to you every moment he gets
You will be his reason for missing home
And the reason he will return
So use a dog not a frog
And you will receive your happily ever after

Fantasy: Eyes On Dreams; Shape-Changed; Daylight; Dormant
Eyes On Her dreams
The frog, living at the bottom of the well
by the Wonderland-Lake, waiting for a princess
to come along, hoping to be recognized as a
Prince in Disguise, frog-leaped to
Shahrazad, the crocodile
demanding a kiss, she did as instructed by
the imperious frog, almost imbibing him as
guided by her reptilian heart, nearly
choking in the effort to keep from
swallowing him; she started to
blunder and bluster and obfuscate; the frog
was disappointed while Shahrazad left in a
hurry, already late to meet Okefenokee Al,
her only real pal, who could be expected
to be there for her all the time
meanwhile the frog, tired out from his efforts
at being kissed by a crocodile, slunked away in
true froggy fashion until he met the Ice Princess,
walking along with her eyes on her dreams
when the frog appeared
with his request for a kiss; she asked what would
happen should she kiss him, he replied he would
turn into a Prince, even a King; she dreamily
complied, her lips trembling and cold as
behooves an Ice Princess spawned
on a Mountain of Glass, the frog looked up in
disappointment; ordered her to kiss him again
with more fervour and enthusiasm, she tried
again, kissing the little green frog,
left by the King of the North
at the bottom of the well by the Wonderland-
Lake… What happened then, dear Scribe,
would you care to tell us
sometime?
Shape-Changed
It is wonderful to be alive
when I have shape-changed
into a mermaid in my mind
gamboling in the Gulf Stream
drifting with a merman-king
to his ancient Gaelic castle
in far-off Ireland...
and you thought
I would be
at work
today?
Took My Daylight Faculty Away*
Found the reason
for my sleepiness:
a fairy of wickedness
came to my christening
took my daylight faculty
away by giving the gift
of sleeping all day long;
though awake at night
I wax and wane with the
moon, such is my
astrogenetic plight –
until a prince will
come and kiss me
without knowing who
I might be while
I’m withered
With the waning
of the moon…
Taken from the tale “Little Daylight” by George Macdonald
Dormant through the Day
Finally, a diagnosis of what
is wrong with me - suffering
from severe diurnation, a
terrible habit of sleeping -
being dormant - through
the day; hell and damnation;
it makes life difficult when
I cannot sleep - creating
the impression I can keep
my eyes glued to a PC
screen - a brilliant actress
am I, playing the role of a
government official, but
underneath - I'm just a
sleepy dreamer...
