I Scold Myself
Whilst I'm asleep I have no control
and I awake in anxious sweats.
I scold myself in my thoughts,
which causing me nothing but stress.
I don't know why I punish myself,
in reality I've done nothing wrong.
This only happens when I'm asleep,
but it does happen all night long.
It's not as though my mind is troubled,
and my conscience is entirely free.
It's got so that I hate retiring for the night
because I know what waits for me.
I cannot blank out my unconscious thoughts,
they're like nightmares that won't go away.
I desperately need a good night's sleep
so I can stay awake throughout the day.

Im Awake Now
Ive been where the river ran
Im drownin in a sunless sea
Sleep has helped me find my end
You promised me youd set me free
Dont fall asleep to dream
A banshees at my window pane
Theres an angel at my feet
Dont fall asleep to dream
Im awake now
(you cant touch me, I wont sleep no more)
Awake now
In the corner of my mind
Where he sits and waits for me
Theres a wall of confusion building
And the sky begins to bleed on me
Dont fall asleep to dream
Im looking for a way out now
Peace of mind is all I need
Dont fall asleep to dream
Im awake now

Sleep
He is aways asleep
walking chatting working playing
though wide awake
He does not miss a train
and you cannot outwit him
in conversation or at playground
But believe it or not
he is always asleep
He has two minds one asleep
and the other awake
Or else the wide awake mind is the
isle of Langerhans
in the midst of the mind.awake
The mind asleep is
connected along hot line
with the pituitary gland
which is the point
whence the expanding universe
shot forth with a big bang

Insomnia
There are nights when you cannot fall asleep,
you toss and turn, but sleep will not come.
Your mind is too awake with things you must do
you cannot stay in bed anymore.
You get up and watch the clock
as time ticks remorselessly by
and ask yourself why is happening to me?
Insomnia they call it.
As you grow older less sleep you need,
or at least that is how it feels to me.
You have too many things
occupying your mind
sitting there alone
in the middle of the night
doing some of the things you have to do.
Hoping to clear your head
of some of the thoughts running through it
while waiting for your body to say
I am tired now.

Ch 02 The Morals Of Dervishes Story 07
I remember, being in my childhood pious, rising in the night, addicted to devotion and abstinence. One night I was sitting with my father, remaining awake and holding the beloved Quran in my lap, whilst the people around us were asleep. I said: ‘Not one of these persons lifts up his head or makes a genuflection. They are as fast asleep as if they were dead.’ He replied: ‘Darling of thy father, would that thou wert also asleep rather than disparaging people.’
The pretender sees no one but himself
Because he has the veil of conceit in front.
If he were endowed with a God-discerning eye
He would see that no one is weaker than himself.
~Insomnia~
No sight
Insomnia
I dream
I'm awake
I sleep
Mingle between both
Insomnia
Blurry
Fuzzy
Awake all night
I'm not alone
Insomnia
No sleep
I'm tired
Dusk is death
Dawn is suicide
Insomnia
Less sleep
I'm awake more
Time slips
Lake of sleep
Insomnia
Rain of dreams
Lucid yet unclear
I reach
Grasp nothing
Insomnia
Awake
Asleep
Both
Same time
Insomnia

Coming or Going
It's becoming more and more real
These visions, these dreams
They're taking more and more likeness of the people here
Waking up in a drenched with sweat shirt
Thinking that you are here
It's becoming more and more real
Is this the reality?
The page I write this on to the air I breathe
Is this actually here?
Or am I about to awake?
It's becoming more and more real
I don't control either outcome if it is only the two worlds
One does have to be a reality and the other has to be the dream
But which can I say is real
It's becoming more and more real
There is a difference that I have found
And it does keep my body bound
However, before I state my convincing notion
I came up with a suitable proposition
Whether awake or asleep, here or there
I must and accordingly maintain normalcy
It's becoming more and more real
Digressing back, the difference is where I sleep and memories remembered
My arrogance allows me the insight to know where I sleep, I wake
I keep this as remembrance, reference
Because as in my dreams
It's becoming more and more real

Peaceful Night
Little pearls in random,
Tethered to the night sky shimmer...
Casting not a shadow, but a glimmer of hope,
For all to see in a perfect array...
So peaceful the night sky,
Why oh why can´t I shine...
Am I awake in the night? ,
And asleep during the day...
Because in the day, it´s all chaotic anyway,
Night oh night peaceful night, stay and keep me calm...

Let The Night Sleep
Let the night sleep
Sleep for ever deep
With the night I sleep
Beyond the world to peep
Universe will sleep
Plants and trees
Birds and bees
Stars and moon
To sleep very soon!
Fruits and flowers
Joy with showers
Will sleep with me and the night
Not to keep the life very tight!
No dawn of the day
Right upto the dooms day!
Sleep permanent
In the world impermanent
I'll sleep without light
My agonies will sleep
My worries will sleep
My pains will sleep
My sins will sleep!
While in sleep
I am pure
I am peace
I am noble!
While my body is asleep
Awake my soul I keep
Sleep akin to death
Death akin to sleep in mirth?
Let the night sleep
Sleep for ever deep
With night I sleep
Sleep to eternity
Soul to merge in Divinity!

Can't Fall Asleep
My thoughts keep me up at night,
my tears put me to sleep,
my dreams wake me up,
after only an hour of sleep.
I can't rest no more,
I can't fall back to sleep,
so I lie in bed for hours at a time,
watching the clock as the time keeps going by.
I toss and I turn,
trying to find something comforable,
but when I'm almost asleep,
my thoughts wake me up again.
So I lay there thinking the thoughts,
that wont leave me alone.
I try time and time again,
but I cant fall back to sleep.
Finally I fall asleep,
but then i quickly hear a noise,
it is my alarm telling me to get up for the day ahead,
but it doesnt realize that I've been up all night.
Thinking, thinking of those thoughts that won't let me sleep.
So I quickly turn off the annoying buzzing noise,
and there I lay in my bed,
dreading the day ahead.

The purpose of nights
.Be awake during day and asleep at night.
Live consciously during day and retrospect at night.
Search the paths during day and note down potholes at night.
Walk with purpose during day and regret the lapses at night.
The night is given to cleanse your soul as well.

Can You Share a Piece of my Dream?
All my dreams every night
Take me far away.
But all those dreams are never right.
There's not a place I can stay.
‘Cause where I am right next to you
is the place where I belong
and in all those dreams I have at night,
to me everything's wrong.
*** So can you share a piece of my dream?
Can you come with me?
I'd look forward to falling asleep
for I know there'd be
No black and white dreams
with no moonbeams,
No colorless places
with all the wrong faces.
‘Cause if you share a piece of my dream
your face is the only thing I'll see.
So come along and enter my dreams.
There are so many places to see.
And every place we travel to
we'll remember and I'll know
that wherever I am, asleep or awake
everything is right.
So can you share a piece of my dream
when I fall asleep tonight?

To wander, missing the goal
The king had a halt to pass out the night.
The charioteer had to guard the horse
For which he must not sleep through out the night.
The king suggested thinking on something.
The king woke up a few hours later and
Found him awake thinking about something.
Questioned, he told he was counting the stars.
Complimenting him, the king went to sleep.
The king woke up after a few hours and
Found him awake with something in mind.
Asked, he said that he was watching the clouds.
Patting on his back, the king went to sleep.
The king woke up in the early hour and
Found him still awake and felt quite assured.
‘I was thinking if the horse left itself
Or someone chased it.', he said candidly.
He took full efforts not to fall asleep
And in the process he missed the purpose.
Devotion to the rites and the rituals
Will tie you to the religion, not the God.

Sleepless On My Pillow
I'm sleepless on my pillow
just thinking of you,
remembering just what it's like to sleep
the whole night through.
I'm not too bad in daytime
when you're not here.
But when the nights come
and you're not here
I think of you and wonder
how I'll fall asleep?
Don't want to turn the light out
for I know I'll just be
Sleepless on my pillow
just thinking of you,
remembering what it's like to sleep
the whole night through.
I wonder if you're awake
just like me?
Or are you peaceful,
sleeping silently?
When you come home again
I sleep through the night,
never waking up until
the morning light.
But when you have to leave me
for a little while,
it's then I hate those nights again
for I know that I'll be
Sleepless on my pillow
thinking just of you,
remembering what it's like to sleep
the whole night through.

Eclipsed From Sleep
I am a man advanced in years
And for the most part need my sleep.
I’m usually in bed by nine
Not that I want to be abed;
You’ll find out if you live this long
That the mind is always younger
Than the body it occupies.
What this means is I’m often
forced to do things against my will.
Last night is a good example:
I wanted to see the eclipse
Of the moon beginning early
In the AM morning hours.
I struggled long to stay awake:
I sat in a comfortable chair
Anticipating the eclipse
With tired eyes through my window
Only to involuntary
Fall asleep and missed the damn thing.

Time Travel Fantasy
My head is in the forest
And Im thinking about you
The mist is pulling lightly on the timber
My thoughts are of the forest
And Im sure Im not in view
Of anyone but the dragon
And the prince of song
I cannot see the daytime
For my head is in the night
The fog is gently swaying on the moor now
I hardly know the difference
>from the dark into the light
Since I was with the dragon
Its been far too long
My feet cant keep my thoughts
>from running out on me this time
The haze is passing fully cross the skyline
Wheres the girl to hold me
To the boundaries of my mind
Princess with bag of crystal
Thats where I belong
Now will my head stay with the night
And watch the chance I take
All the dew has gathered on the heather
Will I go to sleep again
Or will I stay awake
Let me linger with the dragon
And the prince of song

Hypnos
In my sleep, my somber sleep,
My eyes opened wide my somber sleep,
Aside Lord Hypnos, god of silent sleep,
Alone in a cave where no sun shines,
In an alias, along with Zeus alongside the divine,
Forever asleep surround by poppies and hypnogogic plants.
Under the spell of Thánatos, and never wishing grants,
In my sleep, my somber sleep,
Around me Morpheous creeps,
To cast away sounds and never awake from sleep,
I dream under the dark skies of Nyx through the night,
In my dream I percieve Morpheous, Phobetor, and Phantasos as kings,
In my dreams escape and salvation is what they bring!
Through this cave flowed the river of Lethe,
The river of forgetfulness, the river in my mind I see,
My eyes opened wide I stare at the beauty of Salene,
Daughter of titans Hyperion and Theia beautiful is she,
In my somber sleep, Salene casts over me the moon,
Also the goddess of the moon, I fall asleep too soon,
Lord Hypnos god of silent sleep,
Keep me asleep and cast away the grief!
Keep me away from the sun that Helios brings,
Keep me asleep where poppies and hypnogogic plants sings!
Close the black curtains around me, let me sleep,
Let me swim in thoughts of epiphany, in the river of Lethe,
With Endymion forever I sleep under the moon of the lunar diety,
Forever asleep with Mythological Gods of different variety,
Lord Hypnos, forever keep my asleep,
Never more I was my hands in Lethe while I weep.

Has My Heart Gone To Sleep?
Has my heart gone to sleep?
Have the beehives of my dreams
stopped working, the waterwheel
of the mind run dry,
scoops turning empty,
only shadow inside?
No, my heart is not asleep.
It is awake, wide awake.
Not asleep, not dreaming—
its eyes are opened wide
watching distant signals, listening
on the rim of vast silence.

Dreams...Rivers Of The Night
Dreams are rivers of the night
A place in which the mind shakes free
The conscious bands that hold us tight
And sails us out into mystery
Maiden voyages into seas so deep
Vivid montages of experience strange
Not bound by banks within to keep
Nor limits set within to range
Suspension of reason, dwells in the night
Helplessly carried upon dreams cold river
Exposed to experience, never allowed in daylight
Strange deeds, strange thoughts, make us shiver
If Dreams are rivers of the night
Then what are days, just what might they be?
Which one is false…and which is right?
And in which one would you rather be?
For who can say beyond a doubt
Which is reality and which is not
Is awake really being up and about
Or is dreaming of being awake… our lot
If Dreams are rivers of the night
Then could days be dreams of another kind?
Could the rivers of the night be the true and the right
And days a nightmare to which we’re blind
Dreams are rivers of the night
That’s what most people would say
Tell me I‘m dreaming…show me the light
It seems like a nightmare…show me the way

Elusive Sleep
Sleep evades me in the night
I listen to sounds make thoughts
which play upon my mind
in the dark of the room I lay
waiting for serenity to come
time passes slowly
as though held imperfect
its warm, too warm for comfort
and too cold beyond the bed sheet
the day has been long, the body aches
still, still sleep evades me
and those sounds, each shadow
play upon the mind more and more
restless and anxious for sleep
to rest, to dream, to be at peace
the elusive sleep in the night
where thoughts consume me

Blanket Of Fear
I am awake under this blanket of fear
and i must say
none of the people i see belong here
now everyone's asleep
I am awake and I am dreaming
I believe it's time for a rude awakening
HOLD ON TO YOUR DREAMS
BECAUSE YOUR NIGHTMARES
MIGHT SEEM LIKE THEY'RE YOUR REALITY
I believe
the only thing we have to fear is fear itself
and the man behind the curtain
I heard him say
"Dreamers have become an endangered species,
and i am aware of the rude awakening"
I'm falling in my dream
I finally hit the ground
because i can't keep my mind
from going into dark places
