Conundrum

men of the East aghast
wealth of the West amassed

sumptuous breakfast bed-fast
in such a short moment in Belfast
did you hear that blast
such a murder bombast
to the world broadcast
this little country bypassed
and on an incomplete cast
disgust of the Indian system of caste
brown and black and yellow classed
to the white put in contrast
millions of Jews degassed
the Palestinians are downcast
time runs so fast
history has not done the forecast
foremost and foremast
cultures chosen and glassed
rough mountainside no longer grassed
what kind of flash is this hand-fast?
food givers on a boat harassed
those who gained the voice lambaste
and so nothing of value forever last
death for the mainmast
long live the heinous miscast
not all is true in the newscast! ! !

The Price Was Paid

Jesus Christ paid it all for you and me on that hill called Calvary.
He spent His blood on that tree, and the cost to you and I is free.
The price was paid for sin you see, but it was the sin of you and me.
Jesus paid the price, yes indeed, and on that day Christ set us free.

God decided in eternity past, to set a price that would forever last.
But there was not a lot to cast, for only Jesus can forgive your past.
Many people were totally aghast to see Christ treated as an outcast.
Although beaten and harassed, His love remained pure and steadfast.

By His own, rejected and accused, and sentenced by that body of Jews.
Understood by just a few, “forgive them as they know not what they do.”
Christ’s cry to God to forgive the Jews echoes today for me and you.
But in light of Scripture when we choose, we know exactly what we do.

I never perused God like I ought and I’m the one whom God had sought.
The Word I wasn’t taught and my knowledge of Him was close to naught.
But all things by God are wrought, no matter what I learned or thought.
Even the unrighteous who vainly fought, by Jesus Christ were bought.

On the cross rejected and downcast, His love is a Heavenly contrast.
His love alone so deep and vast, to this very day goes unsurpassed.
And the souls for evil that Satan amassed, into the fire Christ will cast.
Satan’s evil will soon be past and God’s Righteousness will forever last.

For in the end all will see, and not only those who truly believed.
And all of those who remain deceived will be dealt with accordingly.
His Blood redeemed all who believe and eternal life they will receive.
And His Blood purchased all the deceived to be cast into Hell eternally.

(Reprise) Sandblasted Skin

Scrape it, grind it, peel it, hide it
The trend is over and gone forever
Shelf it, box it, save it, frame it
You won't need that anymore, it's on sale at the dollar store
Waste of time, pantomime, circus doll, at the local mall
Exterminate, it's all fake
Exterminate, it's all fake
Sandblast yourself
Sandblast yourself
Sandblast
Sandblast
It's getting old, old, old

She's built cold walls of fiction

She's built cold walls of fiction around her bleeding heart
to protect her from prediction that spring may bring fresh start,
imagined wrongs correcting, pain dissipating fast, -
much time she spent erecting tall walls which need not last.
Though hurt was felt, affliction, most wounded pride would chart,
revolt against restriction when spurned, too soon to part.
Whose fault? When facts inspecting, she found herself outcast
through error in selecting unworthy one miscast.

Refrain then from erecting defences unsurpassed,
when motives, aims, suspecting makes molehills mountains vast,
take life as benediction, wake to true Cupid's dart,
smooth over contradiction, let empathy impart
emotions intersecting, flag high and not half-mast,
no longer self-rejecting, dejection all aghast.
Self-confidence ends friction as tears and fears depart,
love conquers interdiction, joy triumphs, heals hurt heart.

When Feelings Fail to Flabbergast - 1968

Future today, tomorrow: past,
love's piper must be paid at last,
where two's no longer company
one's crowded out, one too many
fights pseudo superfluity
self-confidence at sea, aghast.

Too late is hell. Seek, rather, fast
to try new track, exile, outcast
unworthy partner, fake. Break free
from falsehood lacking harmony's
far better far than fragility
stretched out by thin elastoplast.

Life's boat cannot advance half-mast,
an appetite scorns cold repast,
‘alone' keeps credibility
preparing for fresh melody
by banishing futility
when feelings fail to flabbergast.

Causal love-links multicast
play games, dream's downfall seemed forecast
to herald heartbreak threnody
yet somehow primes rhyme's melody,
prime-time until eternity
mocks mortal bombast vain as vast.

Overwhelming Needs 0977

I share an overwhelming need to give and to receive,
Hold feelings words fail to express, if uttered few'd believe
As message follows message, as flood gates fall at last,
Voice echoes hope's choice, knows flow sows, advancing very fast.
Electric thrill, heat, chill, here fills both body, soul, to weave
A waterfall whose rainbow shawl fulfills, must not deceive,
Now safety-net's forgotten, fears fade as fades the past
Once threatening to bird who'd wing through shadows overcast.
Vain fears are shown, tears overblown, as two twinned hearts conceive
Excitement new which through and through can run, yet never grieve.
Raw, uncooked feelings flow, both know, prepare for shared repast.
With freedom found, with chains unbound, perceive horizons vast.
Here we're as one, and have begun to interact, naive,
Enchanted too, as two discover much we may achieve.
Life's aim: love's flame, no need for fame which fades like winter leave,
My melody, true harmony, from one love's drawn, outcast
It would soon wilt, let nothing filter through, each word miscast:
No coloured dot forget-me-not would greyness dull relieve,
Grant ease of heart if two apart were torn beyond reprieve.
New worlds await where anger, hate, unknown are, we'll outlast
Ends and beginnings as Life sings, can never be downcast.
Each has an overwhelming need to give and to receive,
Decide with me, soon we shall see soul, spirit, interweave.

Blossom Comes with Spring - 1378

Joy and imagination here would seek
Attainment and serenity, at last
Creating through a wonder word world fast
Karmic fusion where two minds may speak
Intensely, neither verbally nor weak.
Expectations high were, in the past,
Countered by betrayal - world which vast
Had seemed became less trusting, sprang a leak,
Although awareness reached fresh plateau peak.
Need for self-trust, priority forecast,
Combining choice with voice, full sails, strong mast,
Heart high held here hopes harmony. Hurt bleak
At present fades preparing future fair,
New blossom comes with spring, warms everywhere.

The low caste doctor is conscious of his caste.

Wayfarer’s Welcome

From life's fair shore the wish for more
helps soar above life's angry sea
whose violent churns soul spurns - in store
a road unknown sets flesh, bone, free
to sound true core unseen before,
restoring confidence to be
to self true for fair future draw
cards dealt by heedless destiny.

Bright light may guide from deep inside
wide vision may unravel
life's mystery, see clarified
‘why’, ‘wherefore’ as you travel.
Though gravel hide gold paving bide
awhile until Time’s gavel
knocks twice, till inner keys provide
life’s answers true though novel.

No fears, no tears, hope's scope endears
sight to eyes which insight
recovers, hears through inner ears,
new rune tunes joys incite.
Today’s dearth, blight, on Earth well might,
reversed, redraw frontiers,
and expedite change welcome, right
wrongs, blunt strongest spears.

Past storms at last are over, cast
behind, - mind, soul, washed clean,
while vistas vast unveiled may fast
set scene for Hippocrene.
Verse unsurpassed leaves all aghast
who cannot match serene
and touching cast all will outlast,
deserving only paean.

No desert here, nor mirage drear, -
beneath tomorrow's sky
twin moons appear, - Mars, Venus dear,
luck, love, personnify,
to travels steer away from fear
of way unknown, to try
fresh paths, to peer beyond ‘now’, ‘here’,
crass ignorance defy.

Hassan

Put a cube of sugar into your small tea cup and drink your tea with care,
There you will feel the taste of my love like the land of many flowers!
Now put another cube of sugar into a very big tea cup and drink your tea,
Nut this time around without mush feelings of my muse like the first tea cup;
For this is the truth about life because, there are various actions on this earth!
But they are all not written down in books for many readers to have the impact.

Hassan my lover,
Wake up to the facts of life and think about the concentrations of things;
But many are diluted for many reasons,
So seek out for the right books in life to lead you on to meet your goals.
A cube of sugar gas the clue like the glue for your shoes,
But try to taste life in the right ways than wasting it! !
Because not all the written books do have the same impact on the readers,
But life must surely go on!

Burmese Democracy Expected Ethnic Problems

been watching
the future today...

from past lens astray

Burma as expected
has developed
ethnic problems

with sudden absence
of strict communist
dictatorship firm leash

Burmese are no longer
all brother communists
controlled by the state

past civic grievances
rise from postmortem
state of frozen stasis

past horrors play
on revenge rabid minds
need exercising?

past spectre struggles
post World War II conflicts
leave skeletons in closets

frozen nightmares divisions
war atrocities split Yugoslavia
post familiar communist thaw

emotively haunted people
seem to need to grim settle
past trauma before each

can move on embrace
future possibilities opportunities
in free market societies

when no longer linked
in brotherhood communist
cast iron citizenships

emotively many people
seem to need to settle
the past before they can

move on
and embrace
the future

Sonnet: Count on God

God is the best refuge for all in life;
Just count on Him; He surely can do things,
And mitigate our sufferings and strife,
And make the common men to look like kings.

Just trust in God and allow Him to deal,
With problems which we cannot hope to solve;
For God alone can wounds of heart/mind heal,
And complexities of our life resolve.

No one dare challenge pow’r of Almighty!
All live and lifeless things obey His words;
He’s the only path to Eternity,
The Good Shepherd on earth to many herds.

God’s wisdom to men chosen never fails;
There is a wind that drives life’s boat with sails.

Sonnet: No Man is perfect

Most men on earth do things as per their wish;
Only a few think well before they act;
Most minds are egoistic and selfish;
Advice if free has takers few- a fact.

By trial/ error, each one spends his life;
Things may go wrong and you never know why;
Both haves and have-nots get problems and strife;
No man is sure when he would surely die.

Man wonders if when life’s each stage is past,
Could he have lived in better ways and did,
Some things in prudent manner or too fast?
Some problems of his life, could he have rid?

No man can perfectly perform all things,
Nor can he solve all queries that life brings.

Growing for good or for worse

i was born free
without a guile and prejudice in me
growing i realised for the world i am just a name
oh god, i am not free but am my name
what was this growing for, for the good or for the worse in me

being a natural i continued to have an annual growth
and gradually the idea of religion and caste was put forth
now i realise my name comes with a bonus pack of religion and caste
my original god was now god of the past
the question still lingers on
what was growing in me, pride or shame, for better or for worse

growing and graduated and still accumulating knowledge
another fact of life system made me acknowledge
with name religion and caste i have a nationality
there i see all the attemps of acquiring freedom tending towards futility
what was growing in me, love or hate for better or for worse

i am afraid what i may further grow into
so i invoke the god of my caste and my past and thus pray
please don't let me grow any furhter for i was better an ignorant child than a knowldgeble man
for if YOU exist in any form and are the divinity, if YOU really want to bring some sanity
please, please, please my lord take everything away from this world except humanity

Principles of War

Their principles are sound and worthy,
Acting like a person in triumph;
Only people of destruction speak just now
Of the triumph and war together.

War continues problems and laughter,
Inner fear is a war of a just kind,
Jostling inside the stomach are jelly and jewels,
Without us, without us and the time.
