Environmental Pollution
Environmental pollution
Is a collision of masses of waste particles
That requires an immediate solution
My heart saddens when I realise
There will come a time when all rainforests
Will turn to barren stretched marked lands
When rivers will be invaded by all weather pests
I wish we could plant a tree next door
Control the toxic waste released into our waters
Control the toxic waste released into our atmosphere
I despair and fear because I care
About what we breathe in from the air
Help! environmental pollution
Technological advancement has its negative sides
Smoke, smog & waste is mixing with carbon dioxide
Everyday toxic chemicals we are releasing
And fresh water reserves are decreasing
So help, help
Help find a solution
To Environmental Pollution
The air we consume
Is polluted with all kinds of fumes
If we continue like this
We shall be doomed
We shall be doomed!

Pollution
Tell me is it right
That we sleep well at night
Replenishing ourselves
For tomorrows greedy fight
There lie abundant rivers with pollution
There fly multiple clouds with contamination
And when good food goes to waste
The valleys of the earth bury their paste
Our world is an institution
Of environmental pollution
We choose not to care
For our future generations
And I for one am guilty
For buying the hundreds of electronic gadgets
That attracts the industries to produce like maggots
Environmental pollution is at the heart of our planet
The forests are dying
Wild life is crying
Millions of fish are dying
Mother earth is sighing
Tell me is it right
That we sleep well at night
Replenishing ourselves
For tomorrows greedy fight
Overcrowded trains
Overloaded brains
Where is the light? What is our plight?
While rivers break their banks
And greedy industries play their polluted pranks

Erosion
Feel deranged
Deep inside
Transparent
Cyanide
Misleading
Illusions
Decide on
A solution
Simulate
Perfection
Disconnect

Insanity
Overlooked
Memeories
The time
The time has come
To turn
To turn around
To see
To see the light
The star
The star beyond
All this pollution
The world
The world is indeed
Will start
Will start to bleed
Your life
Your life becomes
A mess
A mess it's gone
All this pollution
All this pollution
All this pollution

The New Pollution
She's got cigarette on each arm
She's got the lily-white cavity crazes
She's got a carborator tied to the moon
Pink eyes looking to the food of the ages
She's alone in the new pollution
She's alone in the new pollution
She's got a hand on a wheel of pain
She can talk to the mangling strangers
She can sleep in a fiery bog
Throwing troubles to the dying embers
She's alone in the new pollution
She's alone in the new pollution
She's alone in the new pollution
She's alone in the new pollution
She's got a paradise camouflage
Like a whip-crack sending me shivers
She's a boat through a strip-mine ocean
Riding low on the drunken rivers
She's alone in the new pollution
She's alone in the new pollution

Ecology Forgotten?
So still 'tis this city...
While factories pour out their silent smoke into the air...
They are the true Dragons of this metro...
Moving while the populous 'tis sleeping unaware! ;
They throw out their pollution into our enviroment...
The vapors skip and float 'round this town...
'Tis in the name of progress they let go of the pollutents...
Ecology finds it abhorant and unsound;
Where once the tender vegetation grew evergreen--
In the parks where pristine lakes used to be...
A fountain 'tis all but dried up with hazardous waste-
As my pen to paper writes words into visuals you can see;
A statue of an Angel overlooks this city...
A Guardian with an Eternal Smile...
In a town without pity-the smog it suffocates-black and gritty-
And our green gardens are put out of style;
*This is a write about one of my passions.
While i live in an area where the air quality is still
Fairly good...soon it will not be.
For there is a proposal for a Coal Plant to be built
About 30 miles from here due West...Tenaska. We will get
What is in the air. Eventually it will settle into our
Water supplies as well.
Also, there is a Nuclear Waste Dump going into
Lubbuck which is also close. And if that is not enough
There is now a proposal for another Nuclear Plant
In this state. The enviroment is dying. We are a toxic
Nation. When is this maddness going to stop?
All in the name of the mighty dollar when we have
Alternative energy sources here now with more to come
In the future...wind power, solar power.

Toxic
I'm boiling water for the tea
I run around and climb the trees
I sometimes draw comic caracters
I'm wearing purple rubber boots
I'm drinking lots of apple juice
I do it all because I want to
Sometimes I get bored of doing those things I do
Sometimes I feel there's a need for something...
Toxic
I'm in the mood for
Toxic
I'm in the mood for
Toxic
I'm in the mood for
Something more than ordinary
Toxic
I'm in the mood for
Toxic
I'm in the mood for
Toxic
I'm in the mood for
Something more than ordinary

Believe it, people here take care of the polluted water
How can they hold breath, till filtering the whole city?
On the air, still there is toxic methyl isocyanate,
Poison Plant stores tones of chemical waste and
A range of diseases from blindness to cancer;
Law & Justice seem to be the first victim of the tragedy here.

On The Burial Ground
Die by violence in this world
Is nothing strange for us
With all those chemicals, wars and destructions
We do not know mother nature has in store for us
The race for economy makes people forget
The lives around this planet
As men become more egoist
Pretty soon
there will be nothing in this world
For men to spare
[Pre-chorus:]
Stupidity, causing pain
And sickness
To our world
Suffer
[Chorus:]
On the burial ground
Is what this planet is all about
It's where we are right now
We might not have any future to be found
On this burial ground
We have nowhere to hide
Death is laughing at our cries
And now we are feeling the effects
That the forces of nature has brought
The droughts, Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions
It's gettin worse than even before
We can see the revenge of this planet upon us
As we keep hurting the sea
The soil and the air
Sometimes some catastrophic accidents happen
Causting death rate and we wounder from where
People are dying in civilization of different lands
Because of the drought
Occurences of flooding everywhere
Killing innocent people and leaving others in despair
Abomination because people fear that all these events
Happen without any warning killing unexpectedly
Men subjugate the forces of nature
But we don't know that it's destroying us slowly
The animals are becoming extinct
Seas and rivers polluted by toxic waste
Combustible smoke
Factories are creating acid rains
That is burning our skins
Damaging plantations
And soon it will bring us to death
Air pollution is disintegrating our atmosphere
Allowing the ultra-violet rays to burn the earth
And to provoke us fear
[Repeat chorus]
[Lead]
Soon some of the lives on this planet
Won't exist anymore
Because we won't be able to recreate
Some of the beauty thta we had before
Nobody seems to care
About the future of our children's civilizations
We better act now
So they won't have a life of torment and frustration
[Repeat pre-chorus, chorus]
Cursed by men this world has become
We are building our own tombs
By eliminating our source of life
When blindly we continue the destructions
There's no future
Day by day we are reaching the end of our lives

Ordinary People
The waters and rivers flow
The winds blow
Grasses and trees grow
Time passes by slow
While we as ordinary people
Still consistently remain shallow
We as ordinary people dictate our faiths
One day, one day
It will be too late
To educate the illiterate
On matters that are delicate
Such as environmental pollution
Or systematic scientific evolution
Exposed with political corruption
Or all kinds of discrimination
Hindering those with dedication and ambition
How about closing the doors
On all this unjustly wars
Leaving them to be dealt accordingly with the law
Instead of luring life right into the hands of deaths claw
But we are ordinary people
With binary feelings
Always concealing
What is blatantly revealing
One day
You will find yourself really lost
Like an abandoned speckle of dust
Because of someone that you trust
You'll only be able to shake your head in utter disgust
One day
In your life you will finally taste
The things you left behind to waste
So hurry up right now and make haste
Before your breasts sag down to your waist
Or your thoughts crumble into a wasteful paste
One day
You will make a card payment
Either in full or in instalments
That you will totally resent
When you receive your bank statement
Wishing you had made a better investment
Realising you’ve been befooled at the moment
One day
Out you shall speak
Sick or not sick, weak or not weak
Suddenly showing strenght stronger than a brick
Wondering if life on you is playing its usual trick
As the clocks move on with each and every single tick
One day
Like all the living you will die
Mothers will moan and sigh
As the watch you dissolve as you lie
And some people for you will cry
While others silently say goodbye
For we are ordinary people
With binary feelings
Always concealing
What is blatantly revealing
So let’s all stand up in unity
Preserve the last of our dignity
Make changes glaring with productivity
Perhaps then earth can breathe in infinity

The Once Great River
In the once great river pollution is rife
Nowadays it does not support much aquatic life
In a polluted river fresh water fish rare
Pollution can cause extinction of that much we are aware
On the polluted river few water birds to be seen
Most of the river pools covered in algae of green
From sewage and wash of chemical fertilisers that in drains into it does flow
With so called human progress the scourge of pollution does grow
Pollution in it flowing to the distant ocean shore
The once great river is not great anymore
Do not drink of these waters the warning signs say
Pollutiuon is rife in the World of today
And the once great river flows on muddy gray
To the mighty ocean many miles away.

Pollution(Rondeau Prime)
These elements..thrive by what means?
Thoughtless of human's heedless treat
No way else than on given feast
Just right to say poisoned action
Infused, imbibed, spread pollution-
Kindly watch out how men mistreat
These elements
Noisy smoke clouding up -who cleans?
From earth to sky in circling treat
Not the rains as hit by waste beast
Rivers all show how men mistreat
These elements

Ignorance is a form of environmental pollution.
Furthermore, both Pennsylvania and New Jersey Departments of Environmental Protection have evaluated the sediment to be dredged and also found it to be not toxic.

Portential
Internal combustion engine exhaust noise encroaches on my sleep.
The first punks of principle could've used a dash of turpentine,
wash out their prickly pride there and then before the next generation
came along and left all the lights on.
It's never really dark in London, not outside anyway.
Pollution of every persuasion - noise-pollution, light-pollution,
mind-pollution, pollution-pollution - I just want to puke.
Stick my head under the pillow to escape - unlock my portential.

Pesticide Fields
For Rachel Carson,1907-1968
In La Belle Dame sans Merci
John Keats writes about the sedge
That withered from the lake
And the birds that stopped to sing.
But unlike the poet’s merciless Dame
You, Rachel, you were a Lady
Of great compassion.
The eels and the scombrids still swim
Under the Sea Wind somehow
Yet your Silent Spring evokes
A verdant season without bird song
On the pesticide fields.
Half a century ago you warned
That the abuse of DDT
And other chemicals harm
And kill animals and humans.
And then the chemical corporations
Reacted to your words
With savage furor and venom.
They accused you with all sort of things:
Of being a hysterical woman
Without proper scientific training
Who did not understand the need
To weigh potential risks against benefits.
They also accused you
Of being responsible
For millions of deaths around the globe
Caused by malaria
Because DDT can kill mosquitoes
And a ban on it would hinder control
Of malaria transmission.
These were untrue
And malicious accusations.
In fact, you never suggested
To ban DDT or chemicals.
You just said to use pesticides
With caution and to spray
With as little as possible.
Since then your vision
Has been vindicated
And remarkably, the poisonous campaign
Of the chemical industry against you
Backfired.
The public became aware
Of the dangers of pesticides
And governments outlawed
The use of DDT.
However, you became gravely ill
In the struggle.
I don’t know
Whether the breast cancer you contracted
Was caused by environmental degradation
And pollution
Augmented by the toxic fumes
Of a vicious campaign against you.
Who knows?
Rachel, my brave and fragile,
My wise and farsighted lady,
We only know that you died
Of a heart attack.

Wonderful Waste Of Time
(Jeff Cook/Lisa Cook/Rocko Heermance)
It's almost summer you know and I can't wait to go
Diggin' my toes in the sand
Spendin' long summer days soakin' up some rays
To the sound of a reggae band
My baby looks so good but I knew she would
And I'm so glad she's mine
I'm gonna kiss her again while the waves roll in
It's just a wonderful waste of time
Oooh, put all our cares behind us
Wrapped in each others arms is where you'll find us
Kickin' back on a beach with my lover in reach
Holdin' her hand in mine
Crazy things that we do may not matter to you
It's just a wonderful waste of time
Ooooh, we're dancin' a hole to China
Even though we're on a beach in Carolina
Ooooh, moonlight walks by the ocean
Ooooh, there's no need to control our emotions
I wanna tell you my friend I'd like to do it again
There's no reason or rhyme
Spendin' time on the shore, I'd like to do it some more
It's just a wonderful waste of time
Yes, it's just a wonderful waste of time, just a wonderful waste of time
A wonderful waste of time, it's a wonderful waste of time
A wonderful waste of time, a wonderful waste of time
A wonderful waste of time, a wonderful waste of time

Fear
I smell the fear that rains inside
The thought of children who must oblige
To tainted dreams and polluted seas
The missing moon and melting trees
A mist of doom and clouds of pain
A toxic waste and an acid rain
The passing of our ignorance
A lifetime spent in abstinence
I living in fear

What If
Every problem has a solution…
Struggles are in everyone's life…
Some more then twice…
But to know in your heart…
That you are part of something good…
Is understood…
There is a solution…
Even with all the pollution…
Life has it's up's and it's down's
(Smiles and Frowns)
(Laugh and Clowns)
(Survivors' and Downers… alike) …
"Keep shouting be like Mike"
The things you want… most…
(YOU) must fight for…LIFE…
Really ain't for keeps…
Oh! But it's a beautiful dare…
Even though…life is not fair…
Change your mind…
Change your life…
In that way you get to live twice….
Every problem has a solution
Even with all of the pollution
All is not lost…
Just don't say…
What if…
