Rose Tinted Glasses

Pleaae don't ask me to take off
My rose tinted glasses
Sometimes when it's blurry
I peek over the top
But I really can't see 'very well'
Without them!

My Glasses That See Love

I go thru life with my eyes wide open
searching for that true love I'm craving to find,
only to see these rose-tinted glasses are
making my vision partiality blind.

Yet I do know what would be
in store,
I'd take the glasses off and no longer get the
chance to see
the beauty of romance that I've been waiting for,
the intensifying rose color,
as in a precious rose will always remains the core,
for it is the
lasting rose colored hue,
that by which makes all true love true.

Make Friends

Reality
He is a prick
That pops your bubble

Honesty
She is a bully
That stamps on your rose tinted glasses

Well you better make them your friends then!

Rose Coloured Glasses

(scott mccarl)
Im an ivory tower boy
Never quite put down the toys
I always think the best of them all
I see only sunny skies
With the wool over my eyes
I never seem to find the crack or the fault
I see it all through rose coloured glasses
And I only see what matters to me
I see you all through rose coloured classes, yeah
The road that I chose is coloured rose
Its a funny sort of haze
All full of dreams of yesterdays
And the dreams are so real you could cry
And you know the grass is green
On the side youve never seen
And the thought is what helps you get by
I see it all through rose coloured glasses
And I only see what matters to me
I see you all through rose coloured classes, yeah
The road that I chose is coloured rose
As I grow a little more
Wonder what this all is for
And the brass ring is slipping away
I would keep the glasses near
And would shed a quiet tear
And maybe smile inside as I say
I see it all through rose coloured glasses
And I only see what matters to me
I see you all through rose coloured classes, yeah
The road that I chose is coloured...

Old Gold Diggin' Geezer

Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.

You just wanna ride in my car.
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
And take you to places to feed your greedness.
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.

You just wanna have an easy life.
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
And you think I'm the one gon' give it!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.

You ain't got a mortgage or a lease on me.
None that we've agreed upon.
And none that you can see.
You ain't got a ring or a title to keep me leashed up tight.
And what you think I've got,
You're not gonna get that close to take a bite!
With or without your teeth behind your 'grill'...
You old gold diggin' geezer!

Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.

You just wanna ride in my car.
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
And take you to places to feed your greedness.
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
You old gold diggin' geezer!
Poppa dada poppa.
Poppa dada poppa.
You old gold diggin' geezer!
Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!

'I thought you said you were a friend to ALL people?
YOU are a fraud.
You ain't even a friend to some! '

Peek a boo doo peek a boo doo,
Peek a boo doo boo!

Peek-a-boo!
I can see you
And I know what you do
So put your hands on your face
And cover up your eyes
Dont look until I signal
Peek-a-boo! peek-a-boo! peek-a-boo!
The way that we werent is what well become
So please pay attention while I show you some
Of whats about to happen
Peek-a-boo!
I know what you do
Cause I do it too
Laugh if you want to or say you dont care
If you cannot see it you think its not there

Peek-A-Boo

The cunningest thing that a baby can do
Is the very first time it plays peek-a-boo;

When it hides its pink little face in its hands,
And crows, and shows that it understands

What nurse, and mamma and papa, too,
Mean when they hide and cry, 'Peek-a-boo, peek-a-boo.'

Oh, what a wonderful thing it is,
When they find that baby can play like this;

And everyone listens, and thinks it true
That baby's gurgle means 'Peek-a-boo, peek-a-boo';

And over and over the changes are rung
On the marvelous infant who talks so young.

I wonder if any one ever knew
A baby that never played peek-a-boo, peek-a-boo.

'Tis old as the hills are. I believe
Cain was taught it by Mother Eve;

For Cain was an innocent baby, too,
And I am sure he played peek-a-boo, peek-a-boo.

And the whole world full of the children of men,
Have all of them played that game since then.

Kings and princes and beggars, too,
Everyone has played peek-a-boo, peek-a-boo.

Thief and robber and ruffian bold,
The crazy tramp and the drunkard old,

All have been babies who laughed and knew
How to hide, and play peek-a-boo, peek-a-boo.

Readings Of Sex

You may be irresistible
with those glasses,
your face, your nose, your cheeks, your neck!
all your fleshy parts
naked before me.
The diamond of your room reflecting from pains
and lenses.
Our glasses tangled
like two bodies wrapped by nori
like calypso oceans.
Without them you are blushing
and I am blurry.
I felt both kisses
on my neck
and said it before
long before
just with someone elses words.

Rose Coloured Glasses

I look at the world
through rose coloured glasses.
I see no evil
only good everywhere.
I see no conflict
only out reaching helping hands.

It only the world could be
the way I see it through my rose coloured glasses,
what a wonderful
world it would be.
Where everyone
would be happy and be free.

On a lost youth

On a lost youth
~
I remember my youth
by that I mean by late teens
through into the twenties
a time when I felt stronger
felt I could take over the world
and everyday was a celebration
now I don't feel as strong
and I work alongside the world
taking the odd day off to rest
but I remember my time
and I look around today
at the new youths
strutting like I used to
I wonder did I act like that?
Did I dress so wild
were I so cocksure
I don't remember so
maybe that how age gets you
you only remember the highlight reel
I remember my youth
through rose tinted glasses
what a time I had

The Way It Has 2 Be

'The Way It Has 2 Be'
By: Linda I. Weischedel
January 13 2010

Yes I know you are desperately in love with me,
yet thru those rose tinted glasses there is something you choose not to see,
when it comes to you and I as a couple we just could never be,
for many years my controlled soul has been trapped and suppressed
now it is finally set free.

I have deep feelings for you,
you are a good man one who is honest, up front and true,
yes and I do know there isn't anything you wouldn't do.

You are one of the most precious men I know,
I may not be IN love with you but my heart does love you ever so,
what scares me is how my feelings for you continue to grow,
for many reasons namely one I will have to let you go.

You and I know we could never have a real partnered life,
and it's all because of the controller, your pain-in-the-neck wife.

It was much easier when you were just my friend,
now all our acquired passions must fold to an end.

My Foolish Eyes

High up on my ceiling
before I fall asleep
I see a darkened shadow.
I need to count some sheep.

I cannot make the shadow out.
Its shape I can't discern.
I shut my eyes tightly
as restlessly I turn.

I swear that I will keep them shut
but my lids defy the vow.
The shadowy figure appears again
and my vision's blurry now.

One more peek is all it takes
for me to realize
that the shadow's only in my mind,
not my foolish eyes.

Broken Glasses (2)

It's all broken glasses falling on the floor
Piece by piece breaking even more
One becoming two with each and every blow
A tree of glasses will never grow

Broken glasses on the floor
A million pieces becoming more
Each piece alone starts to shine
As though each one were becoming alive

A million pieces lie on the floor
Broken glasses broken to the core
They make me cry with their silence alone
As though they believe that all hope is gone
And the light that shines on the edge of a piece
Is like an un-witnessed tear of the pain unseen
As though when the pieces stop falling
All the glasses stop fighting
And chose to shine no more

Broken glasses falling on the floor
What can I say what have I more
Broken glasses I adore
Like a silent heart beat being ignored
Broken glasses are alive
Broken glasses are the life
Of a character broken deep inside

First rose

A heart of youthful year was yearning,
Crying out the pain; the burning
Tears would e’er remain until
An answer from the man would see them die.

A sympathetic mirror blessed her –
Softened up the curves, caressed her
Skin to help regain a calm –
Assuage a heaving breast and blushing eye.

And through a struggling mind, a chiming:
Someone at the door; the timing
Perfect and exquisite in the
Reconciliation of her woes.

She took the oak to make the parting,
‘Here! ’ a presentation startling.
Drawing deep through radiant lips, she
Kissed her very dream: a crimson rose.

just one rose, a pretty rose...
just one rose for me with no coze...
just one rose pure and true...
just one rose for me is all i can do...

just one rose somewhere out there...
just one rose for me to care...
just one rose when dark days prevail...
just one rose when people only use petrail...

just one rose and all the time...

On Reading the

In a Kentish Rose Garden.

Beside a Dial in the leafy close,
Where every bush was burning with the Rose,
With million roses falling flake by flake
Upon the lawn in fading summer snows:

I read the Persian Poet's rhyme of old,
Each thought a ruby in a ring of gold--
Old thoughts so young, that, after all these years,
They're writ on every rose-leaf yet unrolled.

You may not know the secret tongue aright
The Sunbeams on their rosy tablets write;
Only a poet may perchance translate
Those ruby-tinted hieroglyphs of light.

2. Rose Tinted

Through rose coloured glasses
The world just looks pink
They don’t change a thing
Half as much as you think

So if things look pink
There will be no surprise
If I were to tell you
You’ve rose coloured eyes

A Rose With A Tinted Past

A wind from the north country.
Blows through the tapestry of my mind.
Like flowers in the wind.
I sway like a silver birch.
Winging high I soar though the sky.
A bird of tell tale feather below.
Ah, a rose with a tinted past.
A tear of dew on each new petal.
Shadow of sky I see.
A big yellow eye that warns me.
Spring has fallen by the way side.
Summer warms each small bed.
Sleep eluded the dreamers head.
Days hark of summer sandwich paste.
Eaten down in gulps of haste.
Gone are the winter winds.
Replaced by summers warm rays.

Ah, our rose with a tinted past.
Born out of a refuse tip.
Born with buds pointing skyward high.
To catch the sun through a cloudy sky.
Born with a majestic air.
The dark clouds of heaven see you there.
Rain dances on your petals blight.
Sky thunder roars.
Storm of shadows pass overhead.
Wind of tears, tears and shreds,
the petals from our roses head.
Sky of blue, no clouds of night.
Looks down at the sorry sight.
Head limp, beauty gone.
Sadness of glory light.
No longer see the sunlight.
Petals sweet, insect head.
Food for natures bed.
Earth dust shower still.
Life is short to fulfil
Day - night passes a solemn breath.
For our tinted roses death.

What A Rose Can Say

A rose can say I love you and want you to be mine,
A rose can say I thank you for being so very kind,
A rose can say congratulations, whatever the occasion may be,
A rose can say I miss you and wish you were here with me,
A rose can say I'm sorry if I've hurt you in any way,
A rose can say get well soon, May God bless you today,
A rose can say I wish you happiness, and the best for you each day.
A rose can say farewel when someone goes away,
A rose can say hello, I'm thinking of you today,
There's just so many wonderful things that a rose can say,
A rose can say goodbye when a love one is laid to rest,
No matter what there is to say, a rose can say it best.
