Cochise Stronghold

All things add up to zero.
It matters not if you reside high above the lawless boulders,
Or how happily your days are spent
For now,
Soon they must come:
Officers, Indians, fangs and fungus,
That which tears between the bones.
Little does it mean if you sit cross-legged and naked,
Or use an iron drying pan,
A day spent happily in play
Will at given times turn to venom, and stay.
Then autumn breezes will flow
Right through the thin skin,
A blue breeze, a breeze that says farewell.
The null set is then:
And it is not unpleasant
For a life well-lived;
But a terror-torrent for those who only take
And do not give.

Happily Ever After

Happily ever after
Look at me, right where I wanna be
My life took a turn, its a happy affair
Im never alone even when hes not there
Happily ever after, happily ever after
Happily ever after
So carefree, look whats come over me
All my prayers have been answered, he heard my cry
Took all my troubles and threw them aside
Threw them aside
Happily ever after, happily ever after
Once in a lifetime!
I never thought I could be
So carefree, so carefree
Happily ever after
Happily ever after
Him and me, sunshine and laughter
Were never alone, when theres nobody there
Were never alone, we got love to share
Lots of love, happily ever after
Lost of love, happily ever after
Weve got love, happily ever after
Lots of love, happily ever after
Just look at me, right where I wanna be
Happily ever after

Love of Autumn Days

In soft autumn days
I play in the leaves
Spraying them high
Allowing them to filter
Through my stretched fingers
Yellow, orange, and red
Beauty within spread
Happiness in the cool air
Affording great wisps
Blowing in the breeze
Living a long life
Desiring days like these
Where peace and tranquility
Flow from beginning to end
Holding these memories
Deep in our minds
To frequently recall
The love of autumn days

Fade to Grey

Shane and Shay raking leaves in the autumn breeze
oh to be free under the trees in that autumn breeze
Tumbling and falling, scarlet red and amber warm
Shane and Shay in sync with fall
my loves, my life
The warm colors of autumn dusk, all too fast to fade
Winter beckons at the door; harkening no more falls
Scarlet tears mixed with gentle blue
sorrow and joy of maternal dues
Separate now, no longer one
No more days of raking leaves in an autumn breeze
Amber warm love gone gray
Why do my young ones stray

To My Love

To My Love

As a fragrant flower
Let me bloom a day,
And in your silken locks
Let me for a moment stay:

As the bright vermilion,
Let me be with thee,
On your moon-like forehead,
With pride for others to see:

As a string of pearls
Let me around you stay,
To caress your slender neck
And there to happily play:

As the tinkling bangles
Let me for once be
On your fair, lovely arms
And roll on with glee:

As the soft breeze
Let me for a time flow,
And on your lap play
Like a sweet child of glow:

The heart I possessed,
I know not how you snatched,
At your feet, now, my soul, I lay
With a love that is unmatched!

Happily Married Life

I am having my own way
I snorted,
and then the rolling pin struck.
No, you are having your own way,
she was, and she did.
Such is things
in happily married life.

You are doing the dishes
she shouted,
oh no I am not,
and then the rolling pin struck
and I was and I did.
Such is things
in happily married life.

I went to a fortune-teller
to have the bumps on my head read.
She had plenty to choose from
as the rolling pin struck nightly.
Such is things
in happily married life.

We are having sex tonight
she declared.
Not tonight Josephine
I replied.
Then the Viagra came out,
along with the rolling pin,
and we were and we have.
Such is things
in happily married life.

One day I am burning the rolling pin
and we will be miserable once more,
even if I do get a bit bored.
The one thing you have to do
to get a peaceful and happily married life
is have no rolling pin insight.

Blanche

Breeze! brisk breeze! that movest with the morn!
Breeze! lithe breeze! that creepest through the corn!
Breeze! O breeze! that fannest the forlorn!
Oh linger by the lattice of sweet Blanche of mine!

Breeze! coy breeze! that loiterest for noon!
Breeze! true breeze! that hast a tryst with June!
Breeze! kind breeze! I beg of thee a boon!
Oh peep in through the lattice of poor Blanche of mine!

Breeze! fleet breeze! that goest with the day!
Breeze! dear breeze! that hastenest away!
Breeze! breeze! breeze! I beg of thee to stay,
And breathe upon the pillow of pale Blanche of mine!

Breeze! night-breeze! that wailest on the wold!
Breeze! lost breeze! that wanderest in the cold!
Breeze! dread breeze! oh flit not by the mould
Which shelters what is left me of lost Blanche of mine!

The Mirror

I exist in the 'day to day'
watching the wind play
with the trees
sway

Looking out the window
I stand naked and wet
water dripping from
sanitized skin

This is surely a new day
But it began like any
all the same

vigorously drying
with a unclean towel
I wear the uniform
greased stained

As I prepare for
a twenty first century shift
I take a moment to glare
at this reflection

Many times I have done this
Taken this moment
for a personal stare
I smile
I frown
I make silly faces
I practice expression
in my facial lair

I begin my days like this
I begin my days with me
and only me

One day
this routine will cease
I will be old
decaying
reaching the last physical days
of my body's lease

And when death comes knocking
I will still be with my mirror
executing a planned attempt
at 'My life flashing
before my eyes.'

All I will see is my face
which stares
Smiling

O, how my life
was spent through
a mirror

My Times

There were many times... and
I lived there...
There were many times, that I could not believe...
That such violence... and such abuse's... ever exisited...
But never-the-less... they were my times...

There were many...many times... And I lived them all
So this is my time of acknowledgement
And yes there were many times...
That, I wished those other times...had never exisited

And there were many times...that experience would whisper
and shout...
That the time would come...that these things would be
witnessed
And so this is one of those times...

I tell my family that I do not enjoy...
The times of these denile arguments...
Nor the time nor the necessity...of this conflict...
That those time's had created...

Yet that was the times...in which I lived...
And that I was raised for...
OH... I do not fight that it existed
Nor do I fight that time...

But today I can honestly say
That those times, awakend with-in me away...
That those times prepared me for a way to resist it...
To change it...
To survive it...
To abandon it...
And so here today I take time...
To ponder... to give thanks...
For such a magnificent gift... a majestic blessing like this...
Could never have been had..
Had I not lived in those times....

So to whom ever read this, to whom ever wants to

Improve with love those moments,
Don't let them pass you by
Love while the sun is radaint
For time and life does draw nigh

We cannot bid sunshine
To lenghten out our days
Nor can we ask age-ing time
To ever stay away

Let love guide your actions
And remember be honest to your heart
And then Love...will always be with you
And then love will allways help im-part

So improve every love moment
In this your family may secure
For love brings happiness
So rich and joys so pure

Let love guide your actions
And remember
Be honest to your heart
For love is always with you
And it stops the tears
Even inside a broken heart................

So I say help that man
Your friends, a sister, a brother..
It matters only what's in your heart...
It matters only the strings of love
Play them on your harp
For love will bind every a broken heart...

If You Wouldn't Be My Lady

Take away the song a songbird sings
Take away the sound that laughter brings
Take the music from a melody
Never take your love away from me
You make me smile
You make darkness turn into warm sunshine
You give me love
The Lord above knows
I wouldn't know what to do if you wouldn't be my lady
I wouldn't know what to do if you weren't here today
I wouldn't know what to do if you wouldn't be my lady
I wouldn't know what to do if you weren't here to stay
Take away the gentle summer breeze
Take away the golden autumn leaves
I can live without blue skies above
But I could never live without your love
You give me life
You make bad times turn into the good times
You give me love
The Lord above knows
I wouldn't know what to do if you wouldn't be my lady
I wouldn't know what to do if you weren't here to stay
I wouldn't know what to do if you wouldn't be my lady
I wouldn't know what to do if you weren't here to stay
I wouldn't know what to do if you wouldn't be my lady

I wouldn't know what to do if you wouldn't be my lady

Evergreen School Days........

Our evergreen school days
will not come back again
From the nursery to high school
we learnt the best
and the best that taught by our teachers
Our school life was full of cheers
and lived with full of mischievous
but the discipline was maintained well
We sang and danced without
thinking of our future.
We spent money without earned them
When the school start after the vacation
we meet our friends happily and
welcomed new friends dearly
We played all the games and we won
many games with out care of sun or rain
Many years have been gone
today we live different parts of the world
but the memories of our school days
will live in our hearts as ever green days.

I've Spent To Long

I've spent to long not caring,
I've spent to long away,
And now you want me back,
To live just like before,
You want to take my hand again,
You want my love to stay,
But I've spent to long not caring,
And my love it flew away.

I've spent to long in solitude,
I've spent to long in hope,
And now you want me in your arms,
To stay and hold you close,
You want to take my love again,
Feel despair take it's place,
But I've spent to long in solitude,
And you've lost this blood soaked race.

I've spent to long not caring,
Spent to long away,
Spent to long denying,
I've spent to long awake,
And now you want my slumber,
You want a love to stay,
But I've spent to long not caring,
And love? It fades away.

The Birthday Wish

In honoring the anniversary of your birth
I hope you'll be made aware of your life's worth,
That the sun will shine and skies be blue
And events relating to sadness will shy away from you.
This day will soon be numbered in the past,
I pray for you happiness that will forever last.
Respect from your children in an abundant supply
And many good friends that will never say good-bye.
That you'll always be in possession of good health,
These things being yours, You'll have much wealth.
When the days number less in the future than those left behind
I truly hope one day while reminiscing you'll happily find
A unique and pleasant memory or two
Form the days that have spent with you.

My Adieu;

The summer nights that emptied all sorrows.
The winter nights filled me with pain.
The slow breeze of autumn that humbly blew my hairs.
Of all the days that i did spend.
Of all the nights that i have seen.
And all those faces.
Young and old.
I remember them still.
I remember them now.
Oh how each day enroled a lesson.
One that was worth learning.
And how each moment that left my clock.
Left its fragrance with it.
The rains; the sun; the moon; the breeze.
That left there certain cries of ease.
Worth recalling; when i was sad.
Or broken by someones words.
And as each day slipped through my fingers.
Many memories; welcomed my heart.
And now as my heart beats still.
And now as death comes near.
Farewell oh dear, cruel world.
Farewell its traps and games.
Farewell to them who lived with me.
Farewell to love and pain.
I say adieu to every soul that lives a silent life.
May you find peace that i have found.
With death upon my door.
It is love that made me fly in the seventh sky.
But it was hope that never left me; for eternity.

I Have Seen Autumn

I have never felt the chill of winter
Nor the birth of spring
Only the two faces of Nature
The golden sun shining
Or the heavens openly weeping.

But I have seen autumn
As I looked at her
No cold winter in her smile
A promise of summer in her eyes
Her hair of autumn leaves.

I have never felt autumn
But I have seen it
It’s the canvass of Rembrandt
Dark, red, crimson, gold
But I have never felt it.

Is the autumn breeze damp and soft like her lips?
Is the autumn sky naked and warm like her skin?
But I have never kissed her lips nor touched her skin
I have only seen autumn
But I have never felt it.

Happily...

for Ging
...happily separated
the man demands
his right for a child
and she cannot give it,
quits,
she is into knitting
and time heals and
she's into
herself into her
own womb,

for Joy,
...one plus one equals zero
for Charles finally
and today i see her blooming
happier alone,

for Lora,
...she cannot live without him
and she is into culinary arts,
that binding marriage
till forever,

and for myself,
...happily i wish for more
honesty,
let life be life
let is unfold and give me
what meaning is still available,
i am not afraid,
i can live without anybody beside me
but i choose to be bound

happily.

I Have Spent My Life

I HAVE SPENT MY LIFE

I have spent my life
Walking

And Writing Poems.

A happy life
A blessed life
I thank God for it

As I now too
write these late afternoon lines
At Sunset
In a Jerusalem garden
Where the light breeze
And green intermingle.

Betrayed

Picking over bones
Of things that have been gone,
Too long we keep this going on!
Sucker punching from the left..
Catching someone out of breath
Momentum kept like this is much too wrong!

Betrayal shot in veins
Of those who are not sane
They keep their brains with venom flowing!
With sharpened fangs they creep
Upon them who are weak
To keep them victimized unknowing...
They are dispensable!
Quite dependable...
To be used!
And betrayed!

Stalking with a sad intent
To have some think they should repent
For living lives not spent in tears or sorrow.
Pushing fear and agony
To have the masses to agree
No one really can be free tomorrow...
If we are dispensable.
Why not be dependable...
To be used!
And betrayed!

It would be commendable...
To be taxed,
And betrayed!

Harmless Gossip

An avenue of stately trees
whose branches meet high overhead
exchanging gossip with the breeze.
This is the way that rumours spread.

When lovers stroll beneath the moon.
The trees observe their every move.
They dance to day to the same tune
their forbears danced to when in love.

Though fashions change, some things do not.
The trees have seen it all before.
All that they’ve seen is not forgot
but added the their growing store

of gossip which the trees then share
with every passing breeze that blows.
The trees will spread it everywhere
to all and sundry I suppose.

Be very careful what you do.
Although no one can see.
Know that the trees are watching you
and they will share quite happily.

Everything that they have seen
with any breeze that happens by.
With consequences unforeseen
By trees and breeze or you and I.

When strolling in a moon lit glade
Beware the moons soft silver rays.
That stir the blood of man and maid
to think this is the time and place.

The Death Of A Good Man.....(A Tribute To President Attah Mills)

A place of tears and sorrow life is.......
A frightening and passing dream life is....
A tear dropp in the eye of infinity life is...
A borrowed gift life is....

Death is a sun smiling down on men,
Men has no choice than to smile back at the sun,
men are nothing but dust and ashes,
Dust to dust, ashes to ashes,
Men are nothing but flowers which blossoms at sunrise,
But fades at sunset.

I never knew he would begone that day,
I never knew i won't see him again,
Why will our lives be borrowed?
Only to be taken away at the lenders will,
Why will the good ones always die?
Why are the mighty always falling?
Why is life such a place of agony?
Does this life worth one good man's life?

Farewell my president to the great beyond,
Farewell to the afterlife,
farewell to a place of rest,
I pray the ferryman gives you a safe trip across the river of dead,
I pray you pay your two gold coin debt you owe him.

No more shall life make mockery of your manhood,
No more shall the burdens of life pull you down,
No more shall you suffer from the cruel hands whips of life,
No more shall you sweat under the mid-day sun,
No more shall you walk through the crest of waves,
No more shall you walk through the babbling of breeze,
For now you have gone to place of rest,
A place away from the problems of mankind.

Would money buy life? i would have spent my last coin,
Would poems and monuments bring you back?
i would have exhaust my pen in writing,
Would tears bring you back? i would have shed my last drop,
But now all i could do is nothing but remember you.

Your life was well spent in kindness to everyone around you,
My president, a selfless servant of his people,
A man of dignity and integrity is gone,
The good man lives on,
Goodbye my lord....... goodbye.

I will see you again but not soon, never soon,
For am still sailing the seas of life,
Am still at the shores of distant oceans,
Am still writing a book in your name,
A book that would sell for thousands of years to come,
I am etching your name on the pillars of history,
Your actions will echo across the century,
Strangers will hear your name,
They will wonder who you are?
How bravely you fought,
How fiercely you love,

If they ever tell my story,
Let them say i lived in the time of Attah Mill,
Let them say i lived with the tamer of horses,
Let them say i once walked with a giant,
Farewell Attah Mill........ farewell my friend.

the smooth life of G.E.

Every picture is see is what you describe
as perfect. A new baby for the family. The mother
looks and smiles. The proud father begs to
carry the baby even for a few minutes.

There were pictures of the marriage.
Black and white, old as the ancestral house
where the big family once lived.

There is this garden full of perennial flowers
It is as though your life is nothing but Spring.
Nothing of the winter
Neither the autumn.

Summer is well spent. The grandchildren
are not sickly and grandpa is not drinking any liquor.
The house is well kept. Every object is in order.

The chickens have always the correct feeds.
The cow is fat and the turkeys are ready for Christmas.

Sometimes i think
I must be envious. This is not my family.
What i had was messy.
I need not tell anybody.

But on the other hand,
I think that something so ideal cannot be true.
Like a fairytale.
Like a story fit for kids...ending
with And they all live happily ever after.

That is not really true.
That is just an illusion.
I go for something that i have.

The tears wet my pockets.
The novel is too interesting.
The hero falls and dies.

The tragedy like the one written
By Sophocles
always give me that
catharsis.

Not yours. Not your family.
Not your success.
