I teeter at the edge
Peering down into the deep
Precariously balancing
Eyes closed, imagining
If I take that step
There is no going back
The fall will be exhilarating

What will I become?

Precipice
We stand near a precipice
not sure what to do.
Life had given us some hard knocks.
Do we carry on or let go?
Our mind swings like a pendulum
tearing us one-way and then another.
An uneasy choice has to be made
as our footing gets closer to the edge.
There is no hand to hold us back,
no future to pursue,
just an endless treadmill in a long empty life.
We look back for a moment
at what others have done and achieved.
Then we look at ourselves,
and the nothing that is our life.
We step closer to the edge
to the place where there is no coming back
and our miseries will end,
but our mind is filled with doubt
and filling us with questions
before that final step.
Enough to make us hesitate
and step back from the edge.

When people ask me if a god created the universe, I tell them that the question itself makes no sense. Time didn’t exist before the big bang, so there is no time for god to make the universe in. It’s like asking directions to the edge of the earth; The Earth is a sphere; it doesn’t have an edge; so looking for it is a futile exercise. We are each free to believe what we want, and it’s my view that the simplest explanation is there is no god. No one created our universe,and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization; There is probably no heaven, and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe, and for that I am extremely grateful.

out from the depths of a mirror
past lemons sliced for fish
a sign says 'take the knife-edge'
across the railroad-track

In the middle of the night
I had a vision
It was bigger than life
Standing on the edge of my bed
She said come here, dont be afraid
Her tongue opened like a shot

Ten feet tall, laser eyes

A seasoned witch could call you from the depths of your disgrace,
And rearrange your liver to the solid mental grace,
And achieve it all with music that came quickly from afar,
Then taste the fruit of man recorded losing all against the hour.
And assessing points to nowhere, leading evry single one.
A dewdrop can exalt us like the music of the sun,
And take away the plain in which we move,
