Ch 02 The Morals Of Dervishes Story 11

I spoke in the cathedral mosque of Damascus a few words by way of a sermon but to a congregation whose hearts were withered and dead, not having travelled from the road of the world of form, the physical, to the world of meaning, the moral world. I perceived that my words took no effect and that burning fire does not kindle moist wood. I was sorry for instructing brutes and holding forth a mirror in a locality of blind people. I had, however, opened the door of meaning and was giving a long explanation of the verse We are nearer unto Him than the jugular vein till I said:

‘The Friend is nearer to me than my self,
But it is more strange that I am far from him.
What am I to do? To whom can it be said that he
Is in my arms, but I am exiled from him.’

I had intoxicated myself with the wine of these sentiments, holding the remnant of the cup of the sermon in my hand when a traveller happened to pass near the edge of the assembly, and the last turn of the circulating cup made such an impression upon him that he shouted and the others joined him who began to roar, whilst the raw portion of the congregation became turbulent. Whereon I said: ‘Praise be to Allah! Those who are far away but intelligent are in the presence of Allah, and those who are near but blind are distant.’

When the hearer understands not the meaning of words
Do not look for the effect of the orator’s force
But raise an extensive field of desire
That the eloquent man may strike the ball of effect.

World Without Mercy

When your words have no meaning
And you're known as no one,
Am i someone to you,
Someone to turn to,
Even when others turn away?
Even though others turn away?
When history blurs,
And every man, women, and child,
Are left outside with no phones to be dialed,
You can't call me, i can't you.
You can't call me, i can't you.
In a world without mercy,
People dine outside your door.
In a world without mercy,
You don't have to lie anymore.
You don't have to cry anymore.
When laughter loses all its humor
And the joke is on you,
Don't take it so personal,
All this world reversal.
The things they said don't matter anyway.
The things they said don't matter anyway.
In a world without mercy,
People dine outside your door.
In a world without mercy,
You don't have to lie anymore.
You don't have to cry anymore.
Oh, can it be so painful?
Can it be so blind?
Love is vicious angel,
Fluttering wings, trapped inside your mind.
When your words have no meaning
And you're known as no one,
Am i someone to you,
Someone to turn to,
Even when others turn away?

Ch 02 The Morals Of Dervishes Story 09

One of the devotees of Mount Lebanon, whose piety was famed in the Arab country and his miracles well known, entered the cathedral mosque of Damascus and was performing his purificatory ablution on the edge

of a tank when his feet slipped and he fell into the reservoir but saved himself with great trouble. After the congregation had finished their prayers, one of his companions said: ‘I have a difficulty.’ He asked: ‘What is it?’ He continued: ‘I remember that the sheikh walked on the surface of the African sea without his feet getting wetted and today he nearly perished in this paltry water which is not deeper than a man’s stature. What reason is there in this?’ The sheikh drooped his head into the bosom of meditation and said after a long pause: ‘Hast thou not heard that the prince of the world, Muhammad the chosen, upon whom be the benediction of Allah and peace, has said: I have time with Allah during which no cherubim nor inspired prophet is equal to me?’ But he did not say that such was always the case. The time alluded to was when Gabriel or Michael inspired him whilst on other occasions he was satisfied with the society of Hafsah and Zainab. The visions of the righteous one are between brilliancy and obscurity.

Thou showest thy countenance and then hidest it
Enhancing thy value and augmenting our desire.
I behold whom I love without an intervention.
Then a trance befalls me; I lose the road;
It kindles fire, then quenches it with a sprinkling shower.
Wherefore thou seest me burning and drowning.

The Holy Prophet (Chapter 11, Verses 15-16, Holy Koran)

I ask for refuge to Allah from Satan the exiled evildoer.
In the name of Allah the Kind and the Merciful Giver.

Those who desire the worldly life and its prettiness
We fully give them reward herein and no less

There will be nothing for them hereafter but the Fire
Fruitless will be the designs they frame here
And their good deeds will be then of no effect whatsoever.

Inner Need

I had something strange happen to me.
Someone asked for a copy of my Easter sermon.
They said the words I spoke
made such of an impression on them.
They asked if they could have
a copy of it to keep.
Of course, I said it was no problem.

Sometimes we as writers
write things we cannot see,
that fill someone else’s world
with some inner need.
The words we write bring them something
we may have never thought about.

They bring some peace of mind
that they had been searching for.
They feel our words
are so relevant to them
that they have this need
to read those words
over and over again.

Words Sometimes Take On A Own Meaning

Words sometimes take on a own meaning
and sometimes they are sharp and painful
as if there is much more to words

as if a kind of secret knowledge hides in them
that are sometimes something moving.
Words sometimes take on a own meaning

but somehow words can at times miss things
and are sometimes dependent on feelings
as if there is much more to words

when through it all love brings a kind of bonding
and so you and I are attractive to each other.
Words sometimes take on a own meaning

and daily a bond develops between us,
while you become more considerable to me,
as if there is much more to words

you constantly live in my thoughts,
while love becomes real through words.
Words sometimes take on a own meaning
as if there is much more to words…

With Signs

This is what really happened
softness runs very smooth, all around us
Giving full meaning to His will
The sun left the remains of beauty in the morning
I introduce myself to you all
With signs, for those who know

Conscious the whole soul is hurting.
Purify your hearts and you will see me
Close to you and protect you gentle
You will always see me / the signs of Allah, people will see Allah in heaven
As a desire that is embedded either oppose or accept
As the rice will be eaten after cooking

Quiet, calm, peaceful, sure, eternal / Allah says
Upright, sturdy, beautiful, sacred, is everywhere / Allah in the sky, power and control are everywhere
There are no shocks and no conflict

Heaven, love, praise, freedom, justice
There is no hatred, envy, pride and self-centered, all loose and broad
Rest, take a walk, safely, without fear, no anxiety
All have been open without any cover-up
A big tribute for the gift of life
Own, independent, not tied, along with the without prejudice / humans will always be bound by Allah

A Desire To Know Deep Meanings

Dictionary!

My Dictionary!

Raise it high in your right hand!

We shall use it
we shall use it to explore
to seek out...

the meaning of words
the meaning behind words
the multiple hidden meaning of life.

Amen.

Because modern computer dictionaries
really blow... they do, not, contain,
varied rich poetical meanings of words...

as some of my youthful dictionaries did
stimulating imagination, thought, wonder,
stimulating a desire to know deep meanings...

My poems is not Poetry

My Poems are not Poetry
Poetry rhythm is essential part
Communicative act of rhythms
Where words created music
An effect on the reader’s and listener
Words beginning with the same letter
And achieve a poetically effect.

My Poems has no rhythms
For the first time I don’t know
What to say and how to show.
Many words is not my style
Let me say, I like your smile
I don’t think I should like you,
Unfortunately I do.

I'm not sure now how to write
I lost my idea how, where words
Are used in away similar
Creating Music, where you find
Languages of rhymes

I write Prose but not Poetry
Using a regular rhythm
Where vast majority
Of languages spoken and written.

I try to be a barn, the muses were believed and inspire
I try to hard without success,
you already know, I guess.
Anyhow, it doesn’t matter
Usually I do not write
Things like this, I never tried,
for the first time I don’t know
what these lines should say or show.

Allegory, metaphor equated
Meaning lie outside the narrative
Acrostic phase when read together
Alliteration words same letter for poetical effect
Satire is a form of humour
Limerick is a short humorous poem.
And Honestly, I don’t regret
Things I did and words I said.

Take You On Peak

There are so many things besides
Deep meaning and insight provides
Flowers and their fragrance spread all over
Even if provided no cover

Do roses need any introduction?
Do the words need any recognition?
Absolutely no if they are properly conveyed
If not then people may guess and stay dismayed

Words have power and strength
It has variety and can cover any length
Spoken or silent carry same meaning
Where it goes then there is point in winning

Words are reflection of stable mind
No where you may have deviation to find
The work is done as per promises made in words
There is no going back but only to look towards

It may have desired effect
Even if not put into act
There is somewhere hidden fact
Words make it forceful with tact

Rest of the things eyes score
People can read clearly therefore
Face and mouth may act together
There is only adding of feather

Love the words as they are spoken
They are not mere gesture or token
Once out then can't be taken back
As there may be lot more at stake

Think and then speak
It may otherwise make you weak
Speak firmly and then stick
These all quality may take you at the peak

Dyslexia

thanks for the poem,
let me extend my sympathy

long live dyslexia!
let the words untangle the meaning

of the world let the world
untangle the meaning of the word

there is nothing there
but pity

a bird sings early this morning by my window
the vine has grown more leaves

the sun comes out between the two breasts of a hill
i take my bath and then

move on to the beauty of the words of the world
the freshness of the air from the sea

to the fulfillment of my lungs
to the lightness of my heart.

The Cow (Chapter 2, Verses 261-263, Holy Koran)

I ask for refuge to Allah from Satan the exiled evildoer.
In the name of Allah the Kind and the Merciful Giver.

Those who spend their property
In the way of Allah the Giver
Their reward will be like a grain growing seven ears
With a hundred grains in every ear
And Allah multiplies reward for whom He cares
And Allah is the Ample-Giving Wise Teacher.

And those who spend their property
In the way of Allah the Giver
Then do not follow up
With reproach or injury
They shall have their reward
From Allah the Wise Teacher
And they shall have no fear
And they won't be sorry.

Kind words and mercy
Is better than charity
Followed by injury
And Allah doesn't need anything
And He is forbearing.

This Strange Effect

Youve got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.
Youve got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.
You make my world seem right,
You make my darkness bright, oh yes,
Youve got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.
And I like it.
And I like the way you kiss me,
Dont know if I should.
But this feeling is love, and I know it,
Thats why I feel good.
Youve got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.
Youve got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.
You make my world seem right,
You make my darkness bright, oh yes,
Youve got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.
And I like it.
And I like it.

A Big Or Brief Poetry......!

Big or brief, what is poetry?
Poetry is......
Creating beauty out of blemish,
Making order out of disorder,
Producing meaning out of musical words,
Creating Universal truth out of trivialities,
Arranging points out of less known facts!

Is poetry just making rhythm and rhyme
Without meaning, life, force and taste,
Without free flowing musical words,
Without words of music, beauty, fun?

Poetry is free flowing river of words
With full of images, lively and lovely,
Transporting from this world to that world
Forgetting himself and readers here!

Just end rhyme is not enough to make it so;
Internal rhymes make music in rhythm
Making all enjoy music, meaning and ideas!

Poetry is the medium to say complex things
Not possible to say in other forms of language,
Saying unknown things using known things;
It is sound, substance, message and meaning!
And many more matters to many men in the world!

Just A Random Poem

These words have no meaning to it
Yet we're typing it anyways
It's not about love, happiness, or sorrow
Yet it's about all those things
Love is not a game, but people still play
Happiness is all we want, but only few of us have it
Sorrow is in all of our hearts, but there is always someone out there to help us out
Like life these words have no meaning to it, yet it still does
Everyone is random in there own way, but thats okay
We see other peoples randomness, but we fail to see ours
But like everything, these words have no meaning,
Because this is Just A Random Poem

And you will see

Then cherish your Lord's glory
