People Watching
She silently watches the people go by.
She spies on them picking their noses!
She sees all their foibles, their laughter their cries
and watches them trip over toeses.
Some are so funny and some are so sad
some are so dozy and some are so bad,
scratching their arses they dress to impress
except for that man in his worn out, string vest.
She is alone in her bedroom
watching the world go by.
She'd join in the fun if they'd let her
but they reckon she's waiting to die.
Nevertheless they amuse her,
she giggles and cackles away
except for each week on a Thursday
when her son takes her out for the day.

His Eye Is On The Sparrow
Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
Why should my heart feel lonely
And long for heaven and home
When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches over me
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me (He watches me)
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches
I know He watches
I know He watches me
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me (He watches me)
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me (He watches me)
He watches me
I know
He watches

Giggles, Laughter and Stabbing Stares
Giggles, laughter and stabbing stares,
It would kill them to be nice,
It would hurt them to be kind,
Giggles, laughter and stabbing stares,
The notes are being passed around,
They don’t see, no one cares,
Giggles, laughter and stabbing stares,
Tearing at all I’ve built up,
But it won’t work anymore,
Giggles, laughter and stabbing stares,
What they don’t know is,
I just don’t care,
Giggles, laughter and stabbing stares,
Every one is doing it,
But I just sit and laugh,
Giggles, laughter and stabbing stares,
It’s so funny they think I care,
They are stupid to think I do,
Giggles, laughter and stabbing stares,
I laugh and laugh
Because they don’t see that no one cares,
Giggles, laughter and stabbing stares…
Giggles, laughter and stabbing stares…
Giggles, laughter and stabbing stares…

A Higher Power Watches
A Higher Power Watches
Who deliberately causes
The innocent to flout
The sweet to become bitter
The peaceful to become upset.
A Higher Power Watches
People who provoke
The good to do evil.
To speak unkind
To deceive to live unclean.
A Higher Power Watches
How the family behaves
How friends are engaged
Or how who ever interrupts
Or encourages a Life.
A Higher Power Watches
Consciously every move.
Inspirations and righteousness
Cleanliness and courage
Ameliorations and aspirations.
A Higher Power Watches
What every insight sees.
Every intellectual knowing
Every attitude existing
What life's breath blows.
A Higher Power Watches
Every humilation
Every honesty and sincerity
Every forgiveness
And every loving thought.

0025 How many steps to God?
What are you looking at, this moment? ..
You can answer this question?
Then you're watching the looking...
And that which watches the watching that watches the looking..
Always, without fail...
Yes

The Red Bird Lives
A red bird lands to rest
Upon a tree branch.
The red bird chirps
For his sibling,
The cat takes notice, quietly
It watches his prey,
The cat figure it had his
Dinner..
Slowly the cat takes aim
And leaps for the red bird.
The red bird takes flight to
To join his sibling.
The cats loses,
But the red bird lives to chirp
Chirp another day..
The cat meow while his stomach
Growls,
The cat watches for another
Chance to feed his hungry
Stomach..
So, the cat meows hoping
For a meal,
To cure his empty stomach..

A Time For Us To Be Lazy On A Silent Sunday
time to be alone
on a bench under the trees
time to see how leaves fall
silently on the grass
as the world watches us
in mutual
idleness
this is what lazy Sunday is all about
doing nothing
reconstructing the pieces of
the past week.

He Just Sits Silently
A little man sits
silently on a high shelf
watching the proceeding below.
From his vantage point
in the café he watches
the owners come and go.
He is a porcelain figure
who stares out at all.
He never smiles or frowns
at anything that goes on.
He just sits silently there.

Theres A Light
Michael mcdonald
Theres a light that shines on all people
Sees them through
It waits and watches them move
Through their lives like people do
Theres only so much we can be sure of
We can see
The rest belongs to time
And things that are meant to be
When the clouds surround you
And you know youve found your rainy day
Oh, the blues are bound to make you feel
Just like theyre here to stay
All through your life
Anything thats meant to be will be
When tomorrow comes
Once again, youll see
That theres a light that shines on all people
Sees them through
It waits and watches them move
Through their lives like people do
When the clouds surround you
And you know youve found your rainy day
Oh, the blues are bound to make you feel
Jut like theyre here to stay
Oh, you should know
There aint much a broken heart can see
When tomorrow hides
The dream beyond this dream
Oh, theres a light that shines on all people
Sees them through
It waits and watches them move
Through their lives like people do

The City With Eyes
The city with eyes
Sees everything,
City with eyes
Hears everything
Feels everything
The city with eyes
Sees people living on the rough side of the streets
Sees people eating crumbs from the floor
Sees people with ripped clothes and no shoes
Watching other people wearing lubatones walking past
It cries not one but millions of tears
For them
Tears which touch every one
Which soaks everything
Rain, they call it.
The city with eyes
Watching
What has happened to my city?
It cries with sorrow
The city with eyes
Feels the sadness
Of those in need, sad, hurt, …
Watching what was happy
To what is sad know
Unseen dangers!
She prowls the floor then sits and stares.
But when I look there’s nothing there
But still watches carefully.
What does she see that I can’t see?
I wonder why she sits and stares.
Nothing will catch her unawares.
Perhaps she is protecting me
from dangers that I cannot see.
Cats tend to mind their own affairs.
They’re secretive and will not share.
The only thing that worries me.
I still don’t know what she can see.
Why should I worry needlessly?
While she watches protectively.

The Other
Under my bowels, yellow with smoke,
it waits.
Under my eyes, those milk bunnies,
it waits.
It is waiting.
It is waiting.
Mr. Doppelganger. My brother. My spouse.
Mr. Doppelganger. My enemy. My lover.
When truth comes spilling out like peas
it hangs up the phone.
When the child is soothed and resting on the breast
it is my other who swallows Lysol.
When someone kisses someone or flushes the toilet
it is my other who sits in a ball and cries.
My other beats a tin drum in my heart.
My other hangs up laundry as I try to sleep.
My other cries and cries and cries
when I put on a cocktail dress.
It cries when I prick a potato.
It cries when I kiss someone hello.
It cries and cries and cries
until I put on a painted mask
and leer at Jesus in His passion.
Then it giggles.
It is a thumbscrew.
Its hatred makes it clairvoyant.
I can only sign over everything,
the house, the dog, the ladders, the jewels,
the soul, the family tree, the mailbox.
Then I can sleep.
Maybe.

Be an umpire
Players watch the game they play.
The umpire watches the game.
The audience watches the game.
The staff watches the game.
Their emotions and reactions vary.
Being an umpire is the best option.

Hold not thy laughter
Hold not thy laughter
For that joyful sound
I am forever after, seeking when you are around
Waiting for it to chortle, in the background
Hold not thy laughter
As it fights to escapes thy lips
To send me on joyful trips
Your giggles and cackles
Harmlessly tend to baffle
Your happy facial expressions
Paint only a gleeful picture of inspiration
As we rejoice to thy jubilant noises in full attention
Hold not thy laughter from the heart
Hold not thy laughter until we part
Hold not thy laughter as we make a start
When I dispel in my gloom
Thy laughter delivers me
Safely from my state of doom
Sadness runs outside from my room
Happiness inside glows with a boom
As my rosy cheeks mirthfully blossom
Hold not thy laughter as we cheerfully chat
Hold not thy laughter when you publicly fart
Hold not thy laughter whatever the format
A giggle, a chuckle, a titter not a snigger
Laugh it out whether thin or fat
Fill the air, my dear
Laugh it out before it scats out flat

Consideration (Thought)
Its funny how people always tend to trip over there own feet.
Its funny how they can run into a sign, while walking down a street.
Its funny how putting mentos in your friends cola makes it foam.
Its funny how on Halloween you can go and T.P. someone's home.
Its funny how people jump when someone yells 'SURPRISE! '.
Its funny how many truths are backed upon lies.
There are a lot of 'funny' things people can do, but i bet they aren't as funny when people do them to you.
Care about others.
Think before you do.
And you will find out life,
will be much more fun, and enjoyable for you.

For The Sake of My Child
The prayer tells me to ask for serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
My child watches and waits by my side.
The prayer tells me to ask for courage to change the things I can.
My child watches and waits by my side.
The prayer tells me to ask for wisdom to know the difference.
My child watches and waits by my side.
The actions I need to do for my recovery are just too hard today.
My child watches and waits by my side.
The time I pity myself and doubt if anyone really understands is plenty.
My child watches and waits by my side.
The hands on the clock do not stop for me to catch my breath.
Not even for the sake of my child.

The Watches Of The Night
O the waiting in the watches of the night!
In the darkness, desolation, and contrition and affright;
The awful hush that holds us shut away from all delight:
The ever weary memory that ever weary goes
Recounting ever over every aching loss it knows--
The ever weary eyelids gasping ever for repose--
In the dreary, weary watches of the night!
Dark--stifling dark--the watches of the night!
With tingling nerves at tension, how the blackness flashes white
With spectral visitations smitten past the inner sight!--
What shuddering sense of wrongs we've wrought
that may not be redressed--
Of tears we did not brush away--of lips we left unpressed,
And hands that we let fall, with all their loyalty unguessed!
Ah! the empty, empty watches of the night!
What solace in the watches of the night?--
What frailest staff of hope to stay--what faintest shaft of light?
Do we _dream_ and dare _believe_ it, that by never weight of right
Of our own poor weak deservings, we shall win the dawn at last--
Our famished souls find freedom from this penance for the past,
In a faith that leaps and lightens from the gloom
that flees aghast--
Shall we survive the watches of the night?
One leads us through the watches of the night--
By the ceaseless intercession of our loved ones lost to sight
He is with us through all trials, in His mercy and His might;--
With our mothers there about Him, all our sorrow disappears,
Till the silence of our sobbing is the prayer the Master hears,
And His hand is laid upon us with the tenderness of tears
In the waning of the watches of the night.

Rights for M 'lady Tara
My tabby cat is rather fond
of watching Koi carp in the pond
She sits and watches quietly
a picture of serenity
What thought go through her feline mind
what great ambitions lie behind
those slitted eyes of amber hue
The evil schemes she would pursue.
She’s well aware I’m watching her.
Regards me with a knowing stare.
What would she do If I should leave.
She’d learn to swim I do believe
Across the pond I stretch a net
She hopes one day I will forget,
she lies and watches quite content
Her dreams are far from innocent.
I watch her watching and reflect
there’s nothing else I can expect.
She knows that fish are meant to eat
and she will not accept defeat.
She thinks if she waits patiently
She’ll get her opportunity.
She has the right to dream her dreams
I have the right to foil her schemes.

Watching And Waiting
Watching the world fly by as I sit here
Waiting for you to come for so long
I've turned into a statue sitting here on this bench
waiting for you and watching the world fly by
People once looked at me now I'm just part of the scenery
Waiting for you to come for so long
watching the world fly by as I sit here
I think you forgot and the world did too
about the girl you once knew who now
sits here waiting for you never knowing that you'll never will
and watching the world fly by as she sits there
